Used to be here averaging 1-2 weeks at least. All food like fried rice has been sticky together with over salted sauce, absolutely low quality factory food, they do not even warm them up properly. Been vomitting a few hours after had special fried rice rice with seafood and vegetables. Seafood with mixed vegetables, and chicken soup. Strongly avoided unless you want to call ambulance.

This is our friendly local Chinese takeaway (it is takeaway only). It is reasonably priced and the menu is extensive.

Used this takeaway for years but no more. Chicken curry was congealed. Special fried rice like glue. Chicken chop suey tasteless. It went in the bin.

Always love a good takeaway from Hings when I’m visiting family in Sidcup and have never been disappointed. Last week whilst visiting I went online to check the menu so we could decide what we were going to have. First thing that came up on google was their abysmal hygiene rating given in May 2024. With a score of just 1 we decided to give it a miss. We were all gutted. Come on Hings, get things sorted, you should be much better than this.

Food took 2hrs 45 mins to arrive with no apology or even acknowledgement that it is going to take that long. When it arrived the food was nice but the long wait was unacceptable and will not be using again.

Awful! It's a shame because I've been going to this chinese takeaway for years and the meals were always outstanding, really tasty. Unfortunately I don't know what happened but yesterday it was horrible. The Singapore fried rice was fried in so much oil, it was full of it, it gave me indigestion and I've still had diarrhoea nearly 24 hours after I had it. I have no idea why I ate it to be honest it was a stupid decision.

Been going here for 20 plus years for my Chinese and the quality has always stayed the same ! Brilliant freshly cooked and tasty ! Even my fiancé from Romford who I made move to sunny Sidcup can’t get enough

Not very impressed.. duck all shaved on lettuce and the banana fritters not sealed and on all of my food… carried back and was completely level so was obviously put in the carrier bag like this. Ruined food. Won’t be using again

Hings is my Sidcup Chinese. Well priced and food is always delicious. My personal favourite is duck with Chinese sauce. Recommended.

Such as shame as they don't cater for the single person as I tried to order but mim order of £18 before free delivery The lady who answers the phone is so rude ... such a shame as I have used this placed for years I asked the if the owner manger could call me so I could let them know of the problems with the staff but they never did I will be going elsewhere going forward ,,,,,,, Shame

Decent Chinese takeaway food and lovely people running it but, boy, the shop is dirty and untidy. Needs a very major makeover and redecoration. (If the store is so filthy, makes you wonder what the kitchen is like!)

The food from here is usually good (when the order is correct). I ordered food today at 6:45pm and it’s currently 9:17. After repeatedly calling we’re told 20 more minutes. No offer of discount or freebie. Avoid this Chinese on weekends as you won’t get your food. Very disappointed.

Had a previous bad experience with Hings but thought we'd give them another try. BIG mistake. Ordered 7pm on a Tuesday night. After an hour and half the food still hadnt arrived. When we chased them, we was told they was down a delivery driver and food would be with us in half hour. 45 minutes later we chased a second time to be told the food was in the process of being cooked. We told them to cancel the order. SHAMBLES! Never again

Ended up in hotel up the road and nipped in here for evening meal. Had the nicest Thai Green Curry I have ever had. Tasted fresh and full of vegetables which I loved, light, fluffy rice.

Hing's used to be the best Chinese takeaway in the area, sadly our last meal was appalling. The noodles were full of salt, all the meat was fatty tough and chewy, probably reheated leftovers, the rice was rock hard, the green Thai curry tasted like dirty dish water (picture included), avoid at all costs. Need to find a new takeaway now, any recommendations would be very welcome?

Best Chinese I’ve had In this area

Food is very good and very reasonable but for the third time i waited over 3 hours for a delivery quoted as 1 to 1hour 20 mins . as i cannot eat too late i had to waste the food. i know Sat is a busy day but this delivery service is not good enough also tried ordering for collection but when i arrived at the designated time they just started cooking the food making it no quicker than a street walk in and order. - shame but i am going to try a couple of other highly rated take-aways this coming weekend 17/4

Very busy Chinese takeout as extremely good food. The last time we ordered there was a significant waiting time but decided to stick with it. Sadly the delivery driver took a while to deliver and instead of turning up between 20.30-21.00, arrived at just gone 22.00 and the food was barely warm. We phoned Hings and they were very apologetic and offered a discount. We have ordered again tonight, in plenty of time and as promised was honoured the discount. I can’t emphasise enough how tasty their food is!

I appreciate it's lockdown, but we ordered our food over 2 hours ago and has still not arrived. I have tried calling but the phone has been constantly engaged and I have not been contacted to tell me where my order is or that they are too busy or they cannot deliver.

Really lovely food , they are busy but there wait times are so long - they either need to get more staff or don’t take the orders - we ordered at 6pm and at 8.09pm still not here phone and it’s another 30 minutes . We ordered early as we know they busy - such a shame as we won’t order now for a long while . I’m giving 4 for the food But if it was the delivery wait times it would be a 1.

I ordered plain rice, i received rice with onion and peas, not for the first time. This had happened the last three times why can you not get it right.?

I havent heard a friendly voice on the end of a takeaway in a long time so happy with the service, -I felt like the food took me back to my childhood, how Chinese food use to taste when I was younger 😁 shame I dont live closer as this would become my new go to, I got special fried rice and special chow main. I would have given 4.5 stars as the only down side for me was the onions in the chow main was raw and the peas needed more time frying but the flavour was brilliant so happy to stick with 5 stara would recommend.

Very very very bad Chinese they are definitely not professional and haven’t a clue were there at I ordered for my wife and I and my brother and sister I repeated we’re to go to meet me at a hotel and they went completely somewhere else then they tried to blame the poor delivery driver For going wrong but it was them please can someone tell me why they own that there useless

Hings has always been a great takeaway. The duck, rice, noodle dishes are all great. However there has been some recent changes which I’m not a big fan of. They have started to slice and dice the ribs into small little chunks.. which means you don’t get a full rib anymore just little annoying unidentifiable bits. This creates two problems for me.. firstly you are not exactly sure how many ribs you are receiving, could be one rib cut up.. who knows? and two there are loads of little fatty which is annoying to sieve through ( ain’t nobody got time for that). The pork dumplings aren’t great either, I’m a big dumpling fan... and these just tasted like cheap frozen Seewoo supermarket action to me.. so be warned.

I always order from here, they have the best food of any Chinese I’ve tried and I will always choose Hings if I can. I would highly recommend, great fresh food, great portion sizes and great prices!

This chinese my partner and I have been using for the past 12 months and it has been absolutely fantastic. The food is always hot when its delivered and promptly arrives on time. Also, the flavour is delicious and the portion size is extremely generous. Hing's have been very accommodating when we have had around 10 people to order for and provided us with exactly the same service. Everyone has commented how flavoursome and delicious the food was.We have tried various Chinese takeaways around the area but nothing ever lives up to this one! We highly recommend it to anyone in the local area and will continue to use this as our regular!

Food is good but delivery is absolutely atrocious. Was told 45 minutes now been waiting 1 hour and 20! This isn't the first time this has happened. I order every Thursday but after tonight will find somewhere elsr

Take away only. Very good food, reliable service allowing you to time a beer in the nearby Hackney carriage to perfection.

Many a happy, happy day spent in here. Brilliant staff, good food and a lifetime of memories from rolling out of Ye Olde Black Horse after winning the quiz on a Thurdsay night then blowing the winnings in there. Great fishtank too! Dirty, shabby and dated BUT the best Chinese around for miles.

Had many take aways from here and never had any complaints. We often have the S1 set meal for 2 which is always tasty, good portion sizes and very good value for money. Top notch.

We have a large number of Chinese take a ways in Sidcup and this is by far the best. Management changed a few years ago but the quality and service did not. Delivery always swift and efficient. If you are told forty five minutes it will arrive in under thirty.

I ordered a large takeaway from Hings on new years eve, I expected hassle on such a busy night but was totally opposite. The Food was ready within 40 mins as I was told on the phone, so nice and hot. Nothing was missed form the order which was big. Dishes were way tastier from our usual place. Decent portions all very nice, Veg Rice was lovely - bright fresh green, not all orange.

After an exhausting day st work, I ordered a delivery which took forever.... Hings timing of 45 minutes became over an hour and a half!When I rang after an hour, I was told the driver was on the way and will be there in 10 minutes. When I rang back after 10 minutes, I was told the driver will be there in 15 minutes!I could have cooked and eaten by then so what was the point of ordering a takeaway? Unfortunately I have found their delivery service dire.

Food always excellent. Delivery always fast and very pleasant delivery guys. Great value for money. We simply don't use anyone else. Top job Hings. 10/10 AAA+ Gold star!!!

I have had to report this restaurant to food standards agency after finding not one but two types of insect in my meal. So sad as I really like to support local businesses, but this is just not acceptable. Customer service is also very poor.

Taste and portions are standard. Nothing spectacular just good clean Chinese food. Sometimes delivery is a bit slow so phoning and collecting much quicker.

So sad I didn't use this Chinese sooner it really is the best in the area. Staff are lovely and friendly and the food is so so so lovely. I won't go anywhere else now we order from here lots! Roast duck in noodles with sauce is the BEST!

Very good quality food ruined by there delivery promise. By the time it arrived my son had had to go out and buy fish and chips for his two children. I do expect that when I place an £158.00 order they keep to their delivery promise of one hour.

I live in an assisted living complex, & we regularly have a group meal. Always tasty & hot. I had King Prawn balls & rice, lovely.

Still waiting for delivery after ordering at 6.10pm, not good enough. This is the second time it has been so long. If they cannot offer delivery within an hour they shouldn’t say so! I will now consider collection only.

Terrible , I have never thrown away any take away dish , but the four items I ordered were awful , have had good meals in the past from there but this is the second time in a month , what's happened to this place . Also smelt of bad smelling fat or oil while I was waiting , have they new owners or chef ? , will never be back

After my brother recommended this take away my husband and I decided to try this take away. We were not disappointed. Although they only take cash ( a slight inconvenience) the food was the best we have had. Absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be going again. Thank you Hings

Waited an hour and 40 mins for delivery, after being quoted 1 hour. Never arrived, called and was told would be another 30mins! Cancelled the order. They are obviously busy but not managing their orders and taking in too many orders, leaving customers disappointed. There are other local takeaways that offer better service.

Hings han estado utilizando por más de 10 años. Hemos probado todos los de la competencia local, pero ninguno se acercan. He recomendado a varios amigos y todos de acuerdo en que es el mejor. El chow mein no tienen grasa como en la mayoría de los sitios y la carne es pesada y fresca. Pruébalo, no te defraudará.

We ordered our delivery ahead of time and wanted to collect it an hour later. We phoned our order through easily having seen the menu online. The mixed starters were delicious. No prawn toast like in some Chinese restaurants but we loved the selection. Our main meals were lovely and plentiful. I ordered roast duck chow mein and I'm usually to full to finish it but Hings sell a small portion which was perfect. The price and service was good and I'd recommend it.

A recent fine, as we struggled to find a good takeaway in the area. A large selection at reasonable prices. We have only ordered for collection, so can't comment on the delivery service. Our orders have always been accurate and we get the obligatory prawn crackers for free and also a large bottle of soft drink.

We ordered from here, the lady on the phone said it would be 45mins, we waited an hour and 15mins so thought we would ring and see if they had left with our order to be told that they had lost our order. So they Reasured us it would be with us in 15mins so we waited again with two very hungry children for another 30mins to call back again to be told it would be another 10 minutes!! Nearly 2 hours waiting and then to top it off the food was undercooked as they rushed it out, very disappointed and didn't even offer any good will gesture.

Enjoyed the food, free prawn crackers were lovely - best dish was beef and black dean sauce and a good delivery time - well worth the money.

I have been eating Chinese food from this take away for over 20 years and it is the best. I have yet to find another restaurant that could match it. Perhaps the China Royal in Central London? A close maybe! I urge you to try this restaurant because the others will leave you flat.

My partner has been ordering from hings for years he absolutely loves it and I too am a fan, I'm not sure if the management has changed from what it use too and the food slightly different but we still order from here and think it is a really nice takeaway.

Thought I'd try this out for a late night takeaway. Unfortunately as you enter the shop you are taken aback my an awful oily smell. That was enough to put me off from the outset. I ordered a noodle with prawn dish and confirmed with the receptionist that it definitely wouldn't be vermicelli only to get home and find out it was in fact vermicelli (!) The noodles were bland and tasteless and the prawns tasted like they'd been blasted in a fry pan straight out of an iceland bag. A waste of £6. Also I managed to get upsold to a large proportion which is clearly way too much for one person but would rather feed two. I called up the next day to explain my dissatisfaction. I was told the manager would get in touch. When I spoke to the manager she really didn't want to know and refused to refund my money. Sorry guys there's plenty of takeaway options in Sidcup but I certainly wont be returning here again.
