Popped into the New Pippin for some dinner as we were popping by. Ordered at the till and food was on the table within half an hour. Really hot and filling portions. Great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff.

The pub we usually use, the kitchen was closed due to maintenance work so we called the New Pippin the phone was answered within a couple of rings and booked a table. We arrived and ordered the food and it was very nicely presented and very tasty. As I drink zero alcohol I had a nice range to chose from. All in all, great value for money.

Mac made the service and atmosphere of New Pippin so much better than i’d expected. He served quickly and efficiently along with bringing a smile to all our faces with his positivity and conversation skills. Mac made our visit so much better than i’d hoped it would be, 10/10 food, drinks and service. Definitely recommend.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the pippin tonight, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making me feel right at home. The staff here are truly wonderful, but I have to give a special shoutout to Yvonne. She is an absolute gem! Yvonne greeted me with the kindest smile and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. Her warm, welcoming nature and attentiveness really set the tone for the evening. It's clear she genuinely cares about the customers and goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great experience. The rest of the staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our drinks were always topped up and that we had everything we needed. The service was impeccable, and it made our night out that much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, excellent service, and a team that treats you like family, the new pippin is the spot. I can't wait to return, and I'm already looking forward to seeing Yvonne and the rest of the amazing team again! Cheers! :beers:

Service was amazing and all staff were happy to help and on the ball with making sure everyone had everything they needed. Only planned to have a drink with lunch but the staff made us all feel so comfortable and welcome we ended up staying for a lot longer than planned!

We’ve had a stay near University Hospital and have tried all the places for best pies and this is it. Best gravy and peas and mushroom bake. We prefer vegetables and being vegan and the other nearby pubs don’t offer good choices. The bake pies were delicious and the staff was friendly and the place was super clean and quiet. They have recently remodeled. Large Televisions in every room. The prices were the lowest 12.99 pounds for 2 mains M-F. Woo hoo!

Staff are always so friendly and top customer service, especially Cedric with his top cocktail making skills and magic trick haha. A little hiccup with our food order but it was sorted quickly for us all.

I popped here for a family meal with my children and partner the food was lovely and very tasteful it was also cooked to how we liked it and all the staff was friendly I would like to say big thank you to Yvonne for making us feel so comfortable during our time there and a thank you to lily for helping us with telling us about the app this is a brilliant family pub and we can’t wait to come back for another meal

after visiting for the football final I returned for some food with friends. Wow!! Food and service again was top notch!!!

Went down to enjoy the steak meal at half price Monday to Wednesday.Lovely sirloin cooked as requested. Served on a skillet. I could hear it sizzling long before it arrived at my table and service was quick.

Staff were lovely and very efficient. The food on the other hand is abysmal. I ordered boneless chicken wings and chicken fillets. The wings were more like popcorn chicken and the chicken was grim. The waitress did offer me a replacement put it put me off. The turkey Sunday roasts was just sandwich meat slices. What happened to proper cooking. I'm sure you would get more business if all the food wasn't frozen cheap food. There was also a smell of urine in the corridor where the toilets were. Pool meadow vibes

Came for a drink at our old local after years with old friends and family... Adam M at the new pippin was such and amazing servers made sure we were sorted and happy all night such a beautiful human great energy and a perfect gentlemen we will come here again and would love him to serve us or be our waiter again great man Didn't get food but great aerv

I had an amazing lunch with my fiancée, I order the mushroom, garlic and cheese bake and he ordered the all day breakfast. The food was delivered very quickly and tasted incredibly nice. I gave a personal thanks to the chief named Leah. This place is very welcoming and the staff are extremely kind. Definitely a safe place for LGBT folks.

I've been to this pub many many times over the years and the staff and there manager yvonne have always been helpful and accommodating to any needs. Need a highchair and you hands are full ask the staff and they can help as long as they ain't swamp. And I have loads of fun at karaoke night on Sundays. And football nights are welcome and cheerful! Been to the hospital? Make the trip up the road and grab a pint. One of my favorite pubs in the city

the pub was questionable honestly with some strange customers who seemed quite regular with the place, i went on a tuesday not expecting it to be too chaotic but it was none the less the waitress whom said her name was chloe was absolutely brilliant she handled everything with a positive smile and lovely energy she delt with the party of 12 who required cake and a lot of service in itself as well as handling my family with a lasagne thag my mother did not enjoy so she suggested the burger which was a much better option she seemed young must have been still in education but fit the role perfectly although not my favourite place to be i would again just for the amazing service chloe gave and i was request her next time and recommend her to my friends

UPDATED REVIEW: Kitchen was having some problems so some items on the menu were unavailable but, staff was very open about inconveniences and apologised profusely for such. FOOD: -Ordered a lasagne which came out creamy and delicious with a side of fresh salad and garlic bread. 5/5 SERVICE: -Apart from some equipment being out of order, staff were delightful and food incredibly delicious! Atmosphere: -Classic pub music and atmosphere, few people quietly drinking away and a overall good experience FINAL THOUGHT: Huge thanks for the experience, would certainly recommend to any who are yet to dine here and thank you to the great chefs.

Popped in for a drink. The place had a very strange smell. A cross between body odour and pee. The young lady that served us was polite and quick but the music was way too loud and the locals were abit hillbilly. Was definitely not inviting

We ordered fish and chips and the food was beautiful and fresh. The customer service was amazing and great. They deserve 5☆☆☆☆☆.

Cutlery was dirty and unusable. The manager on duty was rude and looked down on us because we are a big family. Refused to sit us inside because of a reservation 5 hours ahead even though we were only going to be there for around an hour (we arrived around 12). There was hair in a meal and we had to get cutlery and sauces ourself as staff didn’t provide us with any when our food came. The manager looked like she didn’t want to be there and was downright rude.

Don't recommend it. The kitchen takes no pride in its food or presentation of. Really the low end of quality.

Meal was lovely. But be careful you don't get ripped off. The price of the meal on the menu was different 2 what I got charge at the till. When I queried it she bar assistant said it was because they'd had new menu. Surely I should have been charged the price on the old menu. £3.00 4 half a coca cola daylight rip off!!.

Quite a big group of us booked here for a family dinner get together. The service, food and atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were friendly, they had karaoke on a Sunday night too, what more could you ask for? Both my brothers got up for a sing song together, priceless! We all had such a lovely day and night. Haven't been to the New Pipen in years was pleasantly surprised

Table dirty not cleaned between clients. Television on as well as loud music..Toilets dirty and toilet paper everywhere. Obviously not checked. We went for meal as a trial for meeting a few friends and partners in a couple of weeks. Needless to say we will not be returning. The whole atmosphere when we walked in was not conducive to relaxing dining.

First visit for many years, the food was superb and the service excellent, maybe at some point Greene King should invest in a refurbishment as this establishment, although welcoming, needs to move forward and the management need rewarding for their efforts !!!

Came to watch the football with my 6 year old son. Absolutely fantastic service from Kristina. (Just dont to enter ur car registration for the parking)

Absolute abysmal place to be. Ordered food, waited two hours, manager is a rude person. Didn’t get an apology at all, told my friend to cook my food for me if I wanted it done correctly (that friend was brown and the only person of colour at our table). No refund was offered and also when the food eventually came, it was not the correct order. The manager then walked off like a whimpering dog. Not a happy bunny, will deffo not be coming back again full stop.

I waited 2 hours for food and someone else had taken it and eaten it. Was told I could not get a refund and was spoken very rudely to from manager. ‘Would you like to make your own food if you have a problem’ were his exact words. Once the food had finally come, it was the wrong order. Couldn’t pay me to come back. Awful gaff.

Was expensive like £27 for steak and a pudding amount of ice in drinks

I came in yesterday and ordered a hunters chicken with no bbq, it came out perfectly and the server who served me was kind and nice his name was mac. I would recommend this to any locals!

We booked a function room for our daughter’s baptism. We advised the management that there will be 55 people attending, on this basis they stated that we should book a buffet for 30 people as this would be more than enough food. On the day, the delivery of the food was so slow that my guests were growing increasingly hungry. We spoke with the management telling them that the food is running low and why isn’t it coming out quicker, we were told that ‘she’ll have a look’ It is clear to see that this venture of hosting parties is a very new thing and this establishment has clearly not got to grips with how to cater for large parties. When asked for plates so that we could distribute cake to our guests we were told to use napkins as they needed plates for their other guests. My guests were queuing for food and there weren’t enough plates knowing that we had booked for 55 guests. It’s a very simple fix, have more staff on the bar and have disposable plates it’s not that difficult or don’t book functions for parties you can’t cater for. I would strongly advise to abstain from booking an event at this establishment they clearly haven’t got the management skills to accommodate until they find a way to over come this monumental task I would book elsewhere.

Booked Christmas dinner here and as a family off seven we was all looking forward to having Christmas dinner out for first time, never again the dinner had no taste, the vegetables were hard the meat was out of a packet! The dinner came out re-heated because the Yorkshire pudding was all flat! The dessert was meant to be cheesecake but was a sponge cake! No atmosphere at all with it being Christmas Day, it really is disappointing when you have spent over £300 pounds on 4 course meal that was a load off rubbish!!

I had fish that was off and brown inside. Had a disgusting taste. The manager is very rude worst customer service I have ever recieved. I will not return there.

I visited the new Pippin Pub at Ansty Rd, Coventry CV2 3EY recently. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the interior was well-designed. Very nice place for food and drinks great atmosphere. Staff is very friendly, especially Fabian, who is always smiling and very attention to details.

Had my mum's wake there 😪 and on Saturday my husbands birthday with family, also we eat there in the week very often. Yvonne is amazing and does everything to make you have a lovely time and very accommodating. All staff are lovely too. X
