After waiting for nearly a hour the breakfast finally arrived and was lukewarm Won’t be going back there

We only popped in for a drink, and the service was great. It was quiet as it was in the day. The toilets are a bit out of the way (upstairs), but there is a nice atmosphere.

Excellent range of beers. Good, reasonably priced food.

Had an awkward racist experience… showed my Colombian ID, and the bartender said they wouldn’t accept it and could only accept “European residence” IDs… checked and this wasn’t a thing at all, and the Wetherspoons next door had no issue with my ID at all. I’ve been showing the same ID in the UK for the last 5 months and had no problems anywhere. Not only did he (bearded, bald bartender) say that he wouldn’t serve me, he asked me to leave the pub. Couldn’t believe this, as it had never happened before, genuinely shocked by this experience.

Went with my friends for my birthday .food came out really fast.

We were there on Saturday afternoon to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend. Everything was very nice (staff, food, service, atmosphere). After having food and drinks, we also had a bday cake and the staff was kind and they gave us small plates for our cake.

Niche weatherspoons that see many uni students come in.

This was a lovely pub for drinking, maintaining the Tudor style across its interior through the white and blue colours! The beed coasters are a nice addition on the wall, counter is well presented also. I had a fresh pint of Stella Artois, sitting at comfortable seating by a smooth round table!

Cheap but no music or football on

It's a fairly classic, predictable wetherspoons. Cheap & cheerful. Nice place to grab budget friendly meal or quick drink. Popular with both older locals & uni students. There are nicer places on the high street but are much more expensive.

Great place - I’ve been to most Wetherspoons in the West Midlands and this one is definitely my favourite. Foods not too bad - typical Spoons standard but compared to some of the poorly cooked food I’ve had in some can’t complain. Cheap prices for alcohol, same as all of the Wetherspoons. Fantastic garden out the front for the good weather. Always a great and fast service when using the app.

Less than £4 a pint who cares about anything else!

The City Arms is a popular pub in an area of Coventry called Earlsdon. Earlsdon has a very good shopping area and, of course, after a shopping spree it's a good idea to have refreshment and maybe a bite to eat. The City Arms is an excellent place for this. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is usually a reasonable amount of room. Due to Tim Martin's thoughtful planning of his Wetherspoon chain, that The City Arms is part of, the prices of food and drink is not high and greedy, as it is in some other pub chains. If you are in Earlsdon give it a try!

6 of us met for breakfast, everything came out in good time, and all together I had the vegan breakfast, great value for money

We ordered dessert but they forgot to bring it.

Five to five on Saturday 7th of December. No draught beer because there is no gas apparently. Ridiculous. Went to Albany club across the road. They had gas.

I ordered a simple wrap, but it came out cold, I told them so they took it back, only to return still cold!! The coffee from the machine was also cold. I used to like it there but it’s completely put me off.

Friendly staff and decent selection of food,often frequent this place for a bite to eat. New gourmet burgers were very tasty.

Nice looking building, good atmosphere. But spoiled by a 20 minute wait to be served, they need more staff focusing on the queue of people particularly towards the middle of the building.

System down no food was being served but no signs or way of knowing this. people sitting around waiting for food . Don't understand why just couldn't do it like before system existed. Write on paper give to kitchen . No kiddos menus either. Hight belt was broken

Had a meal here last night which I thoroughly enjoyed, great choice of beers and wine all at fantastically low prices. Service is a bit hit and miss and I also prefer a little background music, but if that is at the expense of cheaper beers then I'm all for it. Thank you and keep up the good work 👍

Wonderful friendly staff. Waitresses/waiters are very attentive and obliging. The waitress Hollie is super. Clean and inviting. Food is fab too.

Usually it’s fine for a spoons but recently been having a bad experience. Got an American breakfast and the eggs were incredibly small like they’ve been trimmed. Not to mention that I waited about 50 minutes for my food while my friends got theirs within 30 minutes and had to watch them eat even though we ordered at the same time for the same table. Waitress was really nice though

What you would expect from a weatherspoons no complaints.

Terrible decision to have the large mixed grill for 2 - £35 wasted !!! They forgot the onion rings - anything burnt - tough as old boots

Not enough bar staff to deal with the volume of customers. Waited over 15 minutes to get served.

This is a good breakfast place, it’s a simple menu but fast service and consistently well cooked and presented. Unlimited hot drinks are available as well.

Cheap and cheerful. Tasty hallloumi burger & chips 🍔 and a lovely pint of cider.....all for under £10. Can't be bad 👌

Good pub great atmosphere with alot more mature adults which l prefer 💯 I can't mark any stars on their food & service in all fairness because at the time myself & my friend only stopped by for a couple of drinks, we sat outside in the beer garden all afternoon as the weather was nice, the only times l entered the pub was to use the gents toilets. My friend was the one who entered the pub to bring our drinks out so therefore l can't comment on their food or service as we didn't eat but like l said overall Atmosphere 💯 with the 5 stars.

What you'd expect from a 'Spoons! A bit of a wait for drinks, but it was a sunny Friday so that is to be expected. Food wasn't much of a wait and was tasty. I had the ramen which I would recommend. Reasonable prices to make it easier in the cost of living crisis.

Place is always packed out , because of how great it is here , beer is cheap , food is cheap, bar staff are really friendly and love this place . Recommend 👍🏻

Spent a few hours in here tonight, few drinks then food. Oh dear, had the mixed grill - tough cheap meat, and the tikka masala, obviously microwave meal with a cold naan bread.

For a wetherspoons, it very good. Clean, spacious, nice outside seating area.. and good old wetherspoons price didn't hurt too much too

Poor service absolutely shocking disgusting place . No sign of cleanliness or hygiene . Staff members rude and obnoxious . The story’s in news papers are 100% correct . This place need shutting down. Or new management to get the place back into shape . Would not recommend for food nor drinks .

Lovely staff, usual cheap & cheerful food and drink as you'd expect from a Spoons. Usually customers are generally polite and not too rowdy but it can get pretty loud and echoey.

Enjoyed our visit for lunch here. The staff were very helpful, our food and drinks were great.

Great food, served hot and fresh by friendly staff. Only 4 stars as the place wasn't the tidiest. Lots of empty glasses and plates on tables, had to wipe my own table down before breakfast came, tissues and cutlery on the floor. It's a shame as it wasn't that busy that couldn't be done

Busy bank holiday but credit to the staff behind the bar, Rory and the rest of the team, for coping with how busy it was. Always had a decent time in here.

First time here & and I loved the place! The food & staff were really great ! The Only downside was that there is no where to park!? Which made it extremely awkward & difficult with my disabled mum. We were trying to get as near as possible to the pub,But the streets are very limited with spaces to park. The pub has actually turned its carpark into an outdoor seating/drinking area instead.

Fine weatherspoons. The price is always sooo reasonable which is nice. Bustling on a Friday night. Good vibes.

We buy fish and chips.One of the three best until now at United Kingdom.

Drink service was fine but when I ordered a burger they brought me a different, cheaper one than what I paid for. And the chips were cold. Left a bad taste on what was otherwise a good Spoons experience

This place needs sorting out. As a frequent user of wetherspoons this place is one of the worst visited. Tables were full of uncollected glasses and dirty used plates (whilst staff are chatting to each other behind the bar). Food always takes ages to arrive, and when it does turn up it's barely warm. Staff always seem unmotivated and lacking in enthusiasm. Last time I visited I left and went somewhere else. Toilets are not too bad though.

Just popped in late afternoon for a cheer me up drink. Prices are surprisingly low - why can't other pub chains compete? Having said that putting 4 or 5 large gaming / fruit machines together in the lounge is a tasteless and wrong thing to do.

It is below average. The food can take a while to arrive and my breakfast tasted a bit odd, strangely.

What you expect from witherspoons- good basic food and drink at great prices. Did miss music - would help atmosphere - but the food and company made up for it!!

Saturday night, very busy, very noisy, cheap drink. Tables were usually covered in spilled drinks. It was a cheap drink and go. Also, stood at bar, and I hate it when the waiting staff see you there, then serve someone who has just walked up to the bar, then they walk off, all without recognising you are there.

Food is the general wethespoons food so you know what you will get. But the beer is some if not the best I have had at any spoons. Also better than many so called real ale pubs... We went again to the City Arms and my Cod and chips were poor and the fish over cooked. Looks like I will have to just order boil in the bag or microwave food in future. The curry always is a good meal, also they have stopped updating the real ales on the app so to get the one I want to drink I have to order one of the beers that I know has run out. This then makes them have to come and ask me which beer I want.

Great prices for 'real ale' and most often good quality. Good choice of beers too, with a regular change of guest ales which include locally produced ones. The food is good also - yesterday me and my wife had fish and chips and mushy peas (for lunch), where the fish was really white and fresh. And I had two pints of Byatts - 'all day foreign extra stout', delicious and made in Coventry.

My wife is disabled. We called in, well we tried to call in a couple of days ago for a meal and a drink. The only car park disabled space was blocked off with planters and there was nowhere else to park. No car cark whatsoever. Nowhere to park up the Main Street either. I know the original car park was taken up to extend the building. So that left the front. That has all been taken up with table and chairs now. Who wants to sit outside in this freezing cold weather anyway. Sorry, very disappointed, after years of going in there. We will not be visiting again as you have discriminated against disabled people.

A spacious pub in the Earlsdon area of Coventry. The pub is one of Wetherspoon's who offered food and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly.

We come here for breakfast, always fast, hot and tasty at a good price .

I ordered a simple meal, panini & chips. The meal was barely warm. A really skimpy portion of chips, and not as good as they used to be. The panina filling is less than it used to be also. One of my friends ordered a panini, that was also barely warm. Another friend had a curry, that was okay. Other Wetherspoons do better.

Another disappointment when visitihg City Arms in Coventry on Monday morning for breakfast. We all ordered a full breakfast. The food arrived within minutes, so it had obviously been plated up already. All three breakfasts were stone cold and congealed. The fried eggs looked like flat hard boiled eggs. The 2 bar staff/waitresses were over-stretched, but happily replaced the eggs. No refund offered. We would advise people to avoid this establishment. It is very badly managed and the kitchen staff should be ashamed of themselves, as whatever city I have been to in England the best part of a weekend break for me is a Wetherspoons breakfast

This Wetherspoons is very pleasant,the staff are very friendly and sociable,and helpful if you need something,good mix of different age groups of clientele,young couples,older couples,families and groups of friends,the clientele are as friendly as the staff,lovely and tasty food,good steaks from the grill menu,fantastic breakfasts!wide range of beers and ales,and big choice of gins and other spirits,easy access disabled toilets near end of bar,big outdoor seating areas,with overhead lights which come on at night,worth visiting I would highly recommend!. Lovely to sit outside in the nicer weather,with a good sized seating area,with plants and flowers,and festoon lights overhead. Saturday nights can sometimes be a bit rowdy especially if any sport matches are on tv, as people come from further afield to watch them and they can get quite rowdy, and tipsy, Monday and Wednesday night's seem much quieter.

Whilst I found the establishment to be good there is no onsite parking available. Now onto the food which I can only describe as reheated garbage and was definitely not freshly cooked

Good value, but lacking atmosphere

Ordered 8pcs Chicken Wing, and the meal I received got 5pcs of very small chicken wing only. The staff helped me to get the balance, but it was really awkward to talk to them about it!
