Tesco Cafe in Coventry

Really good value for money, is always clean and tidy and staff are always friendly. Would recommend

We used to visit this Tesco cafe on a regular basis. We just had the ham & cheese panini each and it didn’t even taste cooked. I assume it was done for a minute in the microwave as it was just doughy and unappealing (and about the smallest panini I’ve seen, being little bigger than a bread roll!). Please reduce the menu selection by half as it appears clearly too much for you to manage properly and then at least cook/heat what you’re serving properly, rather than dishing this sort of quality up. Sorry but we’ll be no hurry to return.

Why not have lunch at the cafe before shopping I said to my wife. Well here’s why not. Stand in a queue for 5 minutes and then realise that unless you want a cooked breakfast choice will be extremely limited. Chose coffee and a Panini. Then sat down, drank coffee and waited 20 minutes for 6 staff to produce 2 Paninis whilst bringing out a steady stream of cooked breakfasts. When asked why it took 20 minutes for 2 Paninis we were told that everything is prepared in order so no multitasking allowed here. We were also told that at the time of ordering we could have asked to have our drinks with the Panini. If only we’d been told that it would take 20 minutes that’s exactly what we would have done. Was it worth the wait - I think the photo says it all. At least the coffee was ok and we did get an apology but no good will gesture.

The two breakfasts I ordered were very nice, well priced. How ever coffee like mochas are a little weak. But over all very good.

Shop there regular.Occasiionally stop at the Café for a meal.Excellent Service always..Staff Member Dee very helpful and engaging. Visited yesterday had Scampi , Chips ,Mushy Peas and a Latte...Boy what a large portion of Scampi and Chunky Chips..You might be hard pressed to get served such hot and delicious chips elsewhere..Very much a Premium Straight Cut Chip seasoned to Perfection.. Everything freshly cooked. Quarter of Lemon and Tartare Sauce on the side...For £9 more like a meal for 2..Well worth the 20 min wait.

I needed to pick up a bit is shopping and you know what happens. Hungry happens. So greggs or Tesco cafe. Tesco cafe it was. Sitting down for something to eat. Ordered jacket potato which wasn’t great, however how that disappointment was dealt with was. Service and food was really good. Worth the time to sit down in Tesco’s cafe to enjoy some food and a coffee.

Just wanted to say we LOVE this place for breakfast! The service given by Emma & Dee is especially excellent!

Quick breakfast here always good. It’s So hard to get a cooked breakfast these days. Ok it may look like a works canteen but it’s a shop cafeteria you’re not looking for fine dining just good honest food

We were just Passing by looking for an all day breakfast. Not expecting much as it’s a track cafe and just needed feeding but were really surprised how good the food was. It was freshly cooked to our liking with very good quality ingredients. Chef Andrew who I personally spoke to cause the breakfast was so good was very friendly and so was all the other staff. So if your around this cafe and hungry don’t hesitate to eat here. It was far better then most overrated cafes. The food was so good that I couldn’t even wait to take photos as you can see. Simple food but perfect !

On the day we went in, after shopping in the store, we were put off by the canteen- like atmosphere which was neither warm nor friendly. The food isn’t too bad, though very expensive for what it is. Ok if you just want a quick coffee & a sit down after shopping, but not really a place to head for otherwise!
