Kerala Cuisine in Coventry

No wonder this place is Closed Down by the Council. Food quality and taste was awful. I have been off sick for few days after ordering food from here.

Closest to authentic Kerala food in the midlands. Definitely a must try is their kutthu porotta. On the pricier side though. And expect a lot of delay when picking up even if the order is made way ahead.

Ordered pazhampori and Kerala parota with nadan chicken curry via uber. I must say the taste was truly authentic. I'd personally recommend Pazhampori which was so so good and righty done. Also the nadan chicken curry just tasted like back home is what my husband said. Please keep the authenticity in taste without compromise. I'm a regular for pazhampori now. 😄

Ordered our food at 5:30, it finally arrived cold at 8:45. We have no idea which food is which apart from the 'chicken' biryani which is inedible. As the ultimate insult, the popadoms we ordered had been eaten and we received crumbs in an open bag. AVOID!!!! Edited in response to the owners reply. The timings are right, I have the email confirmation of order and my phone records from calling you. The first time I was told the order was out for delivery, the second time, you would call the driver and ring me back, you didn't. Notwithstanding this, the food was inedible and for that there is no excuse. I only wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered, maybe you should too rather than blaming the customer.

We ordered chicken Kizhi parotta few times from here, the first 3 times were good, last couple of times it’s getting food poisoned to us also the chicken Devils come up with just full of chilli powder mixed not like a curry, could you keep up quality at all times.

The food was inedible my meat was burnt on my curry on outside a bright pink in the middle and the curry biriyarni smelt stale I have not ate any of it and the fact I collected it never ever ever again and if you called that a chilli cheese narn tasted like a pankcake ! Pop dom size of a penny

Absolute horror show, ordered chicken biriyani, chicken fry and beef roast and can safely say this place is overrated. Hidden behind a fast food joint one wouldn't expect a Kerala style take away behind a wings and chips corner. Chicken biriyani had a very chemical-y pineapple-y smell which made it totally inedible, had to throw the whole biriyani away. Beef roast was floating in oil, probably the amount of oil enough to make two portions of curry. The meat was tasteless and lacks flavour mainly because it was drenched in oil. Chicken fry was okay, was a bit salty but atleast edible out of the three, hence 1 star. Complete waste of money

I think this take away restaurant needs a loud applaud as they have endeavoured to serve real clean and tasty food from Kerala, God's own country, in South side of Indian subcontinent. Really appreciate your varieties of food on the snacks, starters, the mains, chicken curries, fish recipes, everything tasted so yummy and truly authentic from Kerala....for a while we thought we landed up in a Kerala restaurant in India.

Worst service, you people cheated so many peoples like me in onam without delivering sadhya till now. Then why you collected payment in advance if you can’t give proper service.

Just Wow! ♥️ My boyfriend surprised me with their Dream cake on my birthday which I should say was absolutely delicious and rich. I am not from Coventry but I’ve become a fan of their foods particularly this cake. The cake is really worth for this price as each bite of it gives you a dream heavenly feel. Yet another joint masquerading as Kerala cuisine. The place is a joint operation with a fast food service and predictably hopeless. The service is absolutely horrible with the order taking over an over an hour over the phone. The female staff are rude , disrespectful and bordering on being aggressive. Parking is a nightmare with loads of drivers trying to manoeuvre in the tight space. Food is disgusting - the meals are cooked in oil that tastes stale. Take away only. Trading standards and local council should probably investigate for hygiene and quality. The place is an insult to the good people of Kerala and does not represent the culinary haven from South India. Avoid at all costs.

First time here.Had the Kerala Parotta,cheese Dosa and appams(Hoppers) all very nice and freshly cooked.Nice prices too. Will come again

If the beef is imported from Kerala, we may get good taste. Taste of Uk beef is very poor

I have tried many kerala restaurants food in different places in uk,, this was the bitter experience I had ever . Pothichoru was with no taste at all and also kizhi poratta . I felt that they are not considering customer satisfaction just doing business ..I just waste my almost 40 pounds there .

The Best place in Coventry if you like typical Kerala food- partly because there is not much competition. They are specialists in Kerala porotta, beef fry, kappa biryani, Kizhi porotta and Naadan chicken curry. That doesn't mean all their food is top grade. Most of the other food items taste just average-especially their biryani, which is soaked in pineapple essence. Also there is no consistency in the taste. You may not always get the same quality - even for their signature items.

Delicious food😋 we travelled from Northampton for the south Indian food, and it didn't went in vain. A good place for those who like to try south Indian dishes especially kizhiprotta.

We visited here all the way from Leicester, as we expected the food was very delicious and good quantity as well. Recommended those who like South Indian foods.

If you are a lover of Beef curry, beef fry with coconut pieces and beef kirzhi then this is the place for you. Wouldn't recommend anything else from here.

We experienced our first Kerala cusine in UK with Kerala cuisine, and it felt good! We had Beef Kizhi porotta and Fish Pothi Choru (Mathi ), The prices are quite reasonable too. I would recommend Kerala cuisine for authentic Kerala food !

We purchased madras mutton curry, kappa Biriyani and Jithu porotta. Kappa Biriyani is good but other two are just flop. Last week I purchased mutton chukka from Chennai dosa in Coventry was so tasty. So I thought mutton will be good in Kerala restaurant also. Malayaliye kondu parayikkale mone.

Chips are always cooked on demand whenever I've been in so always nice and hot , staff are friendly aswell

We ordered takeaway of chicken kizhi parotta and mutton kothu. Chicken kizhi parotta is worth the try. Tasted great!! Can definitely try more than once. Mutton kothu tasted good but felt a little dry.. can definitely try once in a while. One such Traditional restaurant in Coventry to try Kerala cuisine.😀

Amazing Kerala food. Finally a good place that serves authentic nadan food. I had ordered the fish and vegetarian pothi chor. More than enough quantity for a person per serving. All dishes tasted really well. Just a suggestion that the mushroom fry included in the pothi chor can be substituted with another vegetable dish or any other Kerala dish. Highly recommend this place. Also would ask to advertise this restaurant in the University of Warwick. Lot of Kerala students on campus who don't know about this place and would love to have nadan food.

The place never fails with tasty authentic kerala food. Much recommended to everyone who likes spicy cuisine. We ordered 2 x pothi chor, kizhi porotta (beef and chicken) , meen pollichathu, appam and stew to feed a party of 7. Everyone was super appreciative of the tasty food. Highly recommended place !!

A bizarre experience, the food described on the menu / what we ordered was different from what arrived.. The poppadoms, you couldn't eat they fell apart like tissue,, the cubed chicken was actually various pieces of chicken attached to bone and tissue... Some aspects of the meal tasted OK but.. Other aspects not so good

One of the worse food I ever had in my life . Not even worth it for penny . None of my friends or family liked it at all. I spend £150 worth of food for take away. First time ever I had worst food . Dear Owner if you can't take comments please don't reply and you blaming customers that they don't know about Kerala food and more over atleast I have to give you 1 star to comment . And most of 5 star from out of the country which they never come to your take away and again we are from east London .so don't say to us that we don't know about kerala food.

Ordered Sardine fry last week, they were extremely salty and was literally inedible.. Please do take care of such things next time.. It's been a go to Kerala food place for us, pls do not disappoint us with the consistency of the food.

They have failed us for the second time!!! First time the Malabar Lamb was average and Kerala Parotta is just kind of bread pieces but they ensured to do better next time as it was very busy on that particular day. Trusting their word, we ordered much more second time even when its costlier than others - Pomfret Pollichathu,Chicken chetinadu, Egg Fried rice,Beef Vandaloo etc but except the Egg fried rice everything else is below average. I really have had very good food back there at kerala!!! Not another chance for this one for sure...

Ordered Nadan chicken curry they said it was coconut cream for gravy but my son got allergic reaction. When enquired they said there was cashew nut grinded in it. Their menu didn't say anything about nuts in there. I don't think I will ever order again . Edit after the reply. : I have not reported to you this as an incident. But before we ordered we contacted you and confirmed whats in the dish. Also the menu doesn't say it has nuts in that particular dish. When we realised what was happening to our son my husband called back to check if there are any nuts and your staff said there was cashew nuts.

Kerala Cuisine is one of the nicest South Indian takeaway in Coventry. The menu and choices of dishes are well explained. Have been a few times now and would recommend it to anyone. One good option is we can PRE ORDER meal online when booking.
