Great to be able to order by phone and collect without waiting for fresh fish to be cooked. Staff friendly, both owner on some days and very friendly lady

Only great things to say about this place. I went on a busy Saturday evening,after a nearby event,and they stayed open later to ensure everyone was served. The food is fantastic and the prices are better than anywhere else I've been. They even had gluten free options. Despite the rush of customers the staff were on point and friendly and helpful.

One of the best fish and chips shops. Great owners and lovely staff. Spotless and always custom. I'm not surprised the food is delicious 🤤😋😋 you won't be disappointed 🙂

First time I've eaten from the new norbreak, Beautifully cooked fish and peas 😋 and pudding peas chips and I forgot my gravy lol never mind l, very good prices and good portions, Lovely staff 🙂 will definitely be coming back anytime soon, thank you guys

Simply the best fish & chips I’ve ever had ! Huge portion of large fish. Lovely chunks of white succulent fish in a light crispy batter. Proper nice chips as well. And very well priced considering the portion size. Friendly staff & owner. This will now be my go to place when I’m in the area. AMAZINGLY GOOD !

We live just around the corner, so this is our local chippy. The owner always says hello and makes you feel welcome. The fish and chips are always very tasty. All I can say is we are very lucky to live so close to this wonderful chippy.

Absolutely fabulous brillant fish and chips with plenty of choice and the quality is outstanding! A great family run chippy a real gem of a place. The welcome was warm and inviting, the place is clean and well set out with both take away and a sit in area. All food is cooked to order and the chips were hot, the batter was crisp and light, super fresh fish at great prices with a sit in special. Also offers battered black pudding and even haggis! Lots of other choices too..(The only comment is the young chap needs to smile a bit more!) A high recommendation indeed! Will definitely be back! Pefect for families, couples and everyone in the area.

We got a takeaway from this little fish and chip shop on bonfire night. The fish was lightly battered like we asked for and the chips where light and fluffy great size portions and very cheap highly recommend

Staying at Norbreck Castle hotel ( big mistake) we found this cracking chippy just around the corner, food was excellent staff even better. Our grandkids treated to free chocolate bar. Owner even offered us a lift to into Blackpool as he was delivering that way

Sat in to eat. Fish chips mushy peas bread and butter tea "special" was absolutely superb. Highly recommended.

Stumbled on this place while looking for a shop. Lovely friendly staff. Very clean and OMG the fish was to die for. Will definatley be back when we're in Blackpool again.

Tried once, never again. Staff are rude, shocking service, and ridiculous attitude towards customers. As for the food, not very good. Chips were underdone so much, the potato was almost raw. Fish batter was that fatty, it was sickly. Expected far better for the high price we paid.

Friendly staff and quick service, got meat and potato pie with chips and gravy for wife and fish chips and gravy for me and both were good value and very nice would recommend

We have come to the Norbreck hotel to stay which has been a disappointment since we got here! Didnt want to have food in the restaurant so we went round the corner and noticed a fish and chips place. We were warmly welcomed and ordered meals for my partner, myself and 2 daughters. The owners were amazing, besides the food being lovely and quickly served, they looked after our 2 little ones and made them feel at ease. (Even gave them a cake for free at the end of our meal!) Decently priced and big portions so couldnt fault them!Love family run cafes like this, such an effort made! Will definitely be returning!

Would say this is the best chippy in Bispham not much in it between them all really but this is the most 'homely' one and there are views of the lakes and bowland around the chippy which makes it stand out. Food really good and good value.

I've been coming here now for about 3mths I use to work in the catering industry and I'm so fussy very hard to please tbh and finding a good chippy for me has been hard but now I've found this one I'd definitely recommend this chippy to everyone very good customer service high standards beautiful food nothing is too much for them they try and make every visit as lovely as they can the couple I've got to know who run it are such lovely people they pride themselves with what they do and they definitely do it well if u was staying over are passing here I'd definitely recommend it and it's take away are sit in so you have the choice to do what's best for you give it ago you won't regret it I love the food I'm there as much as I can and don't eat fish anywhere else So all I can say is go there and enjoy :)

Excellent Family run and friendly Fish and Chips restaurant. David the owner greeted our group of 20+ on arrival and service was brilliant. Great food, friendly and fun..... Whats not to like!!

We visit this chippy every time we go to blackpool.it is the best for food atmosphere and service plus a lovely cup of tea in proper (teapots)

Stopped in for a bite to eat as the hotel I was staying at wasn't ready yet. Was given a warm and friendly welcome by the staff on entering. Ordered the classic fish and chips and a tea. The fish was excellent, I've only ever found fish with such light batter in one other place. Chips were nice and not too crispy prefect. Will be visiting again.

The chips tasted homemade which is different. The thing that lets it all down is the greasy fish. My child had a kids fish and chips and there hardly any fish - just a dump of greasy batter stuck to the cod. Quite the worst one we've had. Stick to chips and gravy and it's ok but not the best. Bonus points go to the bread and butter at only 15p but this loses out to the cans of coke clearly marked from a MULTICAN

Had the senior citizen deal fish, chips, peas, bread and butter and drink for £5.50 in the restaurant. Nice meal, friendly guy behind the counter like a good old fashioned chippie used to be! Like it.

One of the best fish ive ever had excellent freindly staff good menu with some good specials very cheap a nice tea time special cheaper than eating at home and best of all a chippy that delivers

Just happened to be passing and decided not to trot off home and cook but to help ourselves to fish and chips - which as usual was absolutely hot and great.

We stumbled upon this fish and chip shop and ate in. The food was excellent, huge portions and great value. They also do meal deals which include bread and a drink. The staff were very pleasant and gave us excellent service. The place was very clean and so were the toilets.

Found by chance on a visit to Blackpool Lights. A friendly welcome, ate in the cafe and the fish and chips were delicious. Everywhere was clean and the service excellent. Thank you Dave.

This is by far the best fish and chip shop around,every time we stay in norbreck castle we go here the food is amazing and as for the review which said the food was greasy their talking bs jan and dave and all the staff take pride in what they do and always come over to speak to you and making you feel very welcoming.

Called in with my Grandaughter a week ago . Staff were friendly and helpful , the premises clean and well set out .

Best chippy in in coevelys or the cottage chippy in Blackpool but of course Wetherspoons on the north peer does great food and beer

Found this lovely cafe round the corner from the norbreck castle hotel.

Only had chips, peas and gravy takeaway - really not nice. Chips soggy and greasy, peas were just like marrowfat out of a tin, (and hard), instead of mushy and had no flavour. Gravy was the best thing. After being recommended by friends we were really disappointed. Perhaps they were having a bad day. Probably won't be going back.

We picked this one because of Tripadvisor reviews but will not be going back. The service whilst friendly, was slow and haphazard. The food was appalling. The fish were swimming in grease and the chips were the worst chips I've had in a long time.

We were recommended this chippy by our B&B; host as serving reliably good food. Four of us ate here a couple of days ago in-house, all having the fish, chips, peas, bread and cuppas. The quality of the fish was superb: it was white, flaky, moist and perfectly cooked. My cup of tea was also brilliant! The staff were lovely and very personable.

Went in with my family. Beautiful food and so so friendly! So good we went back again! We all had different meals, so can guarantee it’s not just the one item which is good.

Fabulous chips and curry sauce and i had to try the battered black pudding which was huge. However we wanted cod and chips but got told they didnt get cod in even tho it was on the menu. It was busy when we went in but the counter needed a really good clean. Would i go back yeap any time

A friend took my here based on his childhood memories.I went for simple fish with chips and a tea believing mushy peas and buttered bread would be too much for me.The chips were superb and the fish gorgeous. I found the batter a bit too oily for me but then I discovered that traditionally the batter was intended for cooking the fish in and it was originally not intended to be eaten.Whatever you choose to believe about batter the uncertaint truth is that the quality of the fish was superb and I recommend this place being worth the tram ride out from Blackpool centre.

took a mini bus full of people to new norbreck chippy then on through the blackpool lights the various food the party of people had was lovely well cooked and tasty the staffwhere great looked after my party first class

Fish was the size of the plate home made chips and mushy peas it's the best chippy in Blackpool easy if you want home made fish and chips this is the place to go we only went because me and my girlfriend went to the norbreck castle for a couple of nights there is a Chinese on the same row so glad I never went there

Though the fish is excellent, the chips can be soggy and the peas like bullets. The service is poor and not very friendly

This is a great local fish and chip shop, providing lovely fresh fish, a range of battered items and of course chips. There are around 10 restaurant tables, which are always full. This chippie is located a short walk from the busy Norbreck Castle hotel and is always full of residents. The husband and wife proprietors are charming and attentive. Excellent deals for pensioners. Reccomended

I had a business meeting in Preston so I used it as an excuse to stay at the Norbreck ...... I know a lot of people don't like it but it does the job for me ..... Quick stroll round the corner and I was all set for fish and chips down by the beach which is the best way to enjoy them !!! Really excellent , matches and possibly surpasses my local chippy in Birmingham !!! Service was lovely and the food excellent ... Crispy fish , tasty chips , awesome mushy peas !!! I wish I'd found the place last year !!! :)

We live locally and there are many fish and chip restaurants close by but we love the New Norbreck. Always fresh and well cooked, my favourite is lightly battered. a great takeaway treat. My wife recommends Jan's curry sauce.

Very good food, good prices and very friendly staff!!! Right behind norbreck hotel so handy if staying there. If you don't like a massive meal ask for a senior fish and chips, the size is between kids and normal, just perfect.

Great chippy good price and very quick getting everything ready even when busy. They don't stay open late as they don't get much trade, but when they found out that a convention was in the hotel they opened up longer.

This place kept me fed whilst I was attending (working) a convention at the Norbreck Castle. Super friendly staff, great food, and they even opened on sunday for us (normally closed) seeing as there was a big function running across the road. Hopefully it was financially worth it for them! It was definitely appreciated by a lot of the people at the convention.

Its been a long time since I had a fish this good( can't actually remember if I have).Massive unfrozen fish served here and you can taste the quality. Peterhead finest so its British caught too.Came with a portion of batter scraps just like when I was a kid.This place is on my menu from now on when we visit Blackpool.

I ate here last year when attending a conference at the Norbrek and found it cheaper with quicker service than the Norbrek - also very enjoyable rich curry sauce.This year, I found being in new hands means things are somewhat disorganised, with all staff milling around and getting under each other's feet. There's a small counter sign requesting you order fish, burgers, nuggets, pies etc upon entry so most food is freshly cooked to order but the sign's easy to miss and without an ample supply of pre-cooked food a backlog of waiting diners quickly grew. Expect a delay, but it's good-tasting grub.I had an issue on the second day upon which they managed to drop one of my packaged meals onto the floor so had to remake it. I'm aware accidents happen, but having to wait for more food to be freshly cooked rather than taking it from some already prepared in advance was grating.Will definitely return, the food is good - but they need to improve their throughput if they don't want to lose business.

We were in Blackpool on business today and called at the New Norbreck for a fish and chip Lunch .The owners were very friendly and welcoming and our order of fish and chips and mushy peas , was made fresh to order for us .This was by far the best fish and chips we have ever had , the batter on the fish was so light but crisp , the fish was very fresh , white and flaky and was huge , cooked to perfection , the chips were also lovely and fresh . We can recommend this little gem 100% , I only wished we lived nearer to Blackpool , we would be back for sure .

We had a thoroughly enjoyable fish & chip tea here last night. Nice fresh fish, great chips & peas in this deservedly busy restaurant/takeaway. Dave & Jan go out of their way to make you feel perfectly at home and they deserve to do well, in fact they deserve your custom. Make it a date (except on Sundays).

We were visiting for the weekend for a conference and stopped in to get fish & chips. The food was outstanding--hugest piece of fish I have ever seen! And exactly what we were hoping for on our trip to England. But the food wasn't even the best part...the owner truly took delight in providing food and welcoming customers, and it was such a blessing to be there...he made us feel like family! He gave each of our kids an old English coin, and he gave us a list of things to do and see to enjoy our time in Blackpool. If we lived there I expect he would know us by name and welcome us every time we came in. It was such a memorable trip and we're so glad we ate there!!

However, I recently spotted that it had new owners and thought we'd give it a try again.I'm glad we did, all the food is amazing! My particular favourite is the chilli and chips. Hi there. This is the right chippy for your needs. Food is awesome. I am a qualified chef in UK over ten years and cooking all presentation food. But simple food always better and tasty. Owner never ever gonna let you down.

This is a long over due review as I've only just realised this place had a tripadvisor page. We ran here from our hotel in the pouring down rain for our supper. It was a cosy little place, you can take away or you can eat in, the staff/owners were down to earth and friendly, the food was what I can only describe as comfort food. As well as classic fish and chips there seems to be a Scottish element to the menu, we had battered haggis and chips, it was very tasty and very well priced. This chippy is actually one of the things I love about Blackpool, a down to earth little spot with nice food, at a good price.
