The New Inn has a fantastic atmosphere and although small the menu is vast and food is the best you could ask for. It is a great place to both eat and have a quiet friendly drink. I am looking forward to summer where you can enjoy the beer garden as well

The building has a bleak feel, but that's not the owners' fault. For some reason, it has the style of a Devizes Pub, yet it's in the middle of Chippenham. It's been recently taken over by the owners of a nearby shop (which they also still run, although they're more likely to be found in the drinking venue), and is being improved as fast as the brewery will allow. They've applied to become a free house. It's not massively popular, but then it is quite small, so there's a limit. It's probably best seen as an overflow Pub from the Old Road Tavern nearby. The previous owner was the longest serving landlord in town, before he retired, and the new owners are also local and committed to the venue. The mysterious hidden lounge has been converted into a better-lit games room; they've added a Pub guitar (presumably a piano wouldn't fit); they've got an active Facebook page. A weekly quiz night has been introduced. They have the only example of Bar Billiards (like pool but with mushrooms and holes) I've seen.

Muy agradable y nada es demasiado problema. Teníamos una deliciosa comida de carne con guarnición y un estupendo postre. Debe poner en libras. dieta mañana.

Live football being televised in a great beer garden. Staff were extremely personable, a great selection of beer and the pizza was great. Approx 15 minutes on foot to Bristol Rovers' Memorial Stadium with nearby street parking available. Would return!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Very tasty, plenty of food, staff lovely, calm and very accommodating of our big group. Ambiance was very relaxed, looking out over the golf course. Highly recommend it.

Had a disappointing lunch here on Thursday (party of four). Ordered the steak, recommended "medium-rare" arrived "well done" dry & chewy. We ordered cajun chicken arrived with a different coating which was then "mostly scrapped off", the cajun applied on top & re-served. At the end of the meal asked for an Americano coffee with warm milk, not possible to have anything but ice-cold milk as "kitchen is busy". The coffee arrived stone cold, had to ask for some hot fresh coffee. May just have been a bad day but really was not a great experience.

We visited here with my brother-in-law and his toddler son. There were lots of toys for him to play with, and the owners were very carefully to make sure he was OK with their lovely farm dog too. They were also very helpful catering for my dietary requirements, cooking me a lovely breakfast with wonderful cherry tomatoes, still on the vine! I do think some people might feel more comfortable with a lunch menu, but others would prefer to pick from the counter. Would recommend the circular walk along the ridge after lunch, and also the pub down the road for a deserved pint, and if you are visiting in Sept/Oct, a tour of the chilli farm tour!
