New Inn in Basingstoke and Deane

This is a little local pub, used by local. We also invite visitors to join in the fun. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Come on down and enjoy yourselves.

Pleasant amicable clientele, staff & beer excellent

Under new management, sadly wet only, but have bar snack, there is a we'll kept real ale. Only Dombar at present. Lucy and Kev. Are great hosts. On Tuesdays, there is a fish and chips van in their carpark to enjoy.

This pub is amazing! A proper wet pub! Atmosphere is amazing! Lots of pleasant people in! If you come in on your own you’re guaranteed to find someone else to talk to, if you wish to! Always happy faces and the beer is so crisp and can tell it’s being well looked after! Snacks available are varied which is great! Highly recommend and we’ll done to Kevin and Lucy for your progress!

Went Monday night for crib match. Doom Bar was an excellent pint/condition, as was Guinness. One alcohol free beer, bottled Heineken. Place was clean. Toilets clean/acceptable condition.

Had a beer while waiting for fish truck. Don't judge this pub by its cover. Service was great.

Was here on a Friday night for a disco with some Friends. Drinks are a good price. Not bad local pub.

We popped in the new inn for a late breakfast it's the second time we have had a breakfast here and it was excellent again and very reasonably priced and washed down with a pint of sea Fury real ale excellent

I felt a bit odd as an outsider in this small, locals' pub. The service is typically very prompt and courteous though and the drinks on tap are cold as expected. No food is served here.

Popped in for a quick pint before closing. Friendly staff, doing their best with the restrictions.

After being there before and heard offensive words, I went there again to give them another chance but it was worse and threatening atmosphere. People obviously disliked foreigners and the staff don't do anything about the bad behaviour. I heard in the 2 hours I was there several xenophobic comments and had to bite my tongue. One guy who came in was barred because he complained about a previous incident. I advise everyone with a open mind to avoid the New Inn.

Small cosey but have fit in once it's busy

The landlord is rude and bigoted, absolutely shocking to see a venue where such behaviour appears to be acceptable The gentleman in question is clearly racist, very sad. won't be recommend

Mmmmmm, tricky one this...quite a pricey drinking hole, though have heard the guys say it's a good point... I've never really wanted to stay there for very long...not sure why....

Not the best going down since last landlady left. Not cleaned regularly if you drink real ale he keeps changing there a no basic one and change the other some real ale never heard of and not good runs out of spirits no food at all

Been here a couple of times good little pub which I would call a mainly man's pub. There are some good real ales at this venue. This is now under new management, the relief manager hoping to take over seems a great guy, fingers crossed as he keeps a good cellar the ale are crystal clear here a good sign good luck. Mate

Typical backstreet boozer. Good beer good atmosphere and good service. It has an enclosed garden out back but i never went into it due to not realizing it till i left. Prehaps make this more noticable to newcomers. And they would return more.

Busy locals pub showing sports on TV

Nice enough pub but when sport is on you feel like you are always in the way of the TV! It's a small pub & can feel very cramped at times. Beer is good, dog friendly which is a big plus! Staff are nice too.

Visited on a Tuesday night. Fish and chip van outside (great food by the way) and apparently local band The PotBelly Chimps inside. Great beer and friendly atmosphere. Made to feel very welcome. Will definitely visit again.

Top landlady, excellent choice of real ale and ciders. Very small inside, get there early to get a seat. It's a local pub for local people but none the worse for that.

Out of the Blue Fish and Chips staring at the New Inn on Tuesday Evenings from 5.30pm till late. Superb Fish and Chips best I have had here in the UK. Come down place your order and have a few drinks in the Pub while waiting.

Tadley has few pubs and this is one of the better ones. The 2 very poor ones having either been demolished or turned into 2 private dwellings. Doom Bar and one guest ale are well kept. Linda is a very friendly and sociable landlady. Food good (and reasonably priced).

We have been going to the New Inn for some time and we might view it as our local. The reception is always warm, especially from the landlady and there are generally a couple of real ales on offer. Prices are not cheap, but not too bad for the area.

Yes, as the very passionate person stated a local's pub very good staff I pop up now and then for a throw of darts and a pint off real ale good staff good ale not sure if it serves food as never asked a ok proper pub

This is a proper pub, I am local and it is a local pub for local people. It is small, so if you go on a weekend you might find it busy and full, full of locals. This is because it is a local pub for local people. Don't go and moan that it is full of locals, are we clear? However, it is a busy pub because Lynn and her staff keep it up to and beyond standard cleanliness. A great selection of booze incl Real Ales and the best selection of Cider in any Tadley Pub. Has a nice garden, the best smoking area in Tadley, you can vape in there and er, they do crisps and nuts. Sometimes has bands, you might even find yourself watching the seminal post-punk band the Potbelly Chimps and sometimes, they hit a note. Did I mention it is local and for local people? Good pub, fact.

Recommended by a local, this is a pleasant, friendly and welcoming pub. Serves DoomBar plus a guest ale. Place is well kept and comfortable, with a genuine pub feel about it. Children welcome - indeed, the barmaid was very friendly and chatty with my five year old daughter. If I lived in the area, this would be my pub of choice.
