Was a very lovely meal at the New inn at Farnborough. Eaten here a few times now and find it great food, friendly and has lots of space.

Lovely gluten free meal, pleasantly decorated for Christmas and well attended. Plenty of parking too and I wish we'd had room for dessert, they looked amazing!!

Been here a few times now….. My daughter is celiac so finding food for her always seems to be a challenge.. However everytime we have came heleena has always gone out of her way to make sure that my daughter has food which suits her needs…. I cant fault her…. Absolute gem of a host. And will go out of her way to suit her needs…. Great job

I have had great service in this pub, from the excellent food and drink to the staff. Especially Amy Robbins, whose pleasant courteous welcome made me feel most comfortable and settled. Nothing was too much for the staff, so that it was not just a meal in a pub, but an experience, thank you very much. X

A good, clean pub with a nice atmosphere. Wide range of vegetarian options available. Service was great, our waitress Amy was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable on menu and drink choices. She recommended the mushroom pie and having now tried it, so do I.

We came in last Sunday. We were warned that food may take awhile due to the pub being short staffed. We were very impressed as everything came out in good time, food was great. Kids had a blast in the play area outside. Shout out to the chef, as we found out on leaving that he was the only one in the kitchen! Great place for the family.

Went today with my partner for a Sunday dinner and the service was excellent, the staff were really helpful and welcoming. Food didn’t take long. Over all it was a really good experience- definitely recommend.

The child’s mac and cheese was tiny and a 10 year old could of ate it in 3 bites and it was freezing cold ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ the park was alright my child cut his finger on it and the toilet was clean 2 star 🌟

Says dog friendly but it isn’t. Felt like the manager made a big announcement to the whole restaurant that we shouldn’t be there, very embarrassing.

Very bad experience. We arrived at 3pm and they told us that they no longer served a menu at that time. A father who arrived an hour after us with his two children was served the menu without any problem. I find it unfortunate that because you are foreigners they tease you like that to charge you more money.

Family friendly, nice garden with a playground for children. Delicious food made by Iuliana-the chef! It’s a nice pleasure always, to go there. Flo also polite and hard worker, he goes above and beyond to serve his customers.

Very friendly service with well cooked standard pub food. The staff at the New Inn couldn't have been more cheerful or helpful. I had garlic mushrooms (usually a starter) with chips and salad. My husband had the gammon. Standard chain pub fare but very well cooked and very reasonably priced so no complaints here!

Food was delicious, great seasoning on the steak and the bbq sauce with the burger tasted amazing, the puddings we had was the gooey brownie and the warm Blackberry and apple tart with custard and can not put into words the texture and the taste could not have been any better! The warm full feeling was a good feeling. friendly staff couldnt do anymore to help, we stopped by on a rainy drive, so the interior was nice and warm and comfortable. I would deffo be coming back again. Hats of to the chef because he smashed it!!

After watching Bath rugby win, my husband and I thought we'd stop for a meal and a drink. The man greeting us was cold and unwelcoming, as I always think a simple smile goes a long way. My husband asked if he had to go to the bar to order the drinks and was told it was table service. So we waited and waited and waited!!! No drinks menu on tables. One waitress came to ask if we had ordered, to which we replied No. I asked for a pint of soda and lime with No ice, and of course it arrived with ice. So I asked again with No ice. The girl was apologetic and got me the same drink with no ice.Our meals arrived and by then, my husband had finished his 1st pint so he asked for another one. It didn't come, so asked again and still nothing, I had finished my meal, so he decided to go to the bar and got it himself, whislt his food obviously got cold!!! If you say "table service" then do it properly or not at all!!!! The place wasn't even busy so God help them when it is! Otherwise the food was quite nice and super cheap, but the supposedly "award winning pie" wasn't up to that standard! Nice pie but most certainly not outstanding. We won't be returning.

Visited yesterday felt very welcome when being shown my table by the new Welsh Manager he was very friendly also had great service and food come out quick and was brilliant and I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely come back again.

food ok had turkey but noticed beef wasn't pink. Food could have been warmer. Service was awful. Didn't see waitress in 45 mins waiting for a missed drink and to order pudding Won't be going back. Also landlord iron your shirt looks tatty

Not the best Sunday lunch. Very little veg and the brocoli was very hard. Beef was on the menu as pink but it was overcooked and dry, had char grilled lines where it has been cooked again. The roast potatoes were more like chips than a potato. Definitely won't be coming back.

Staff very welcoming and restaurant clean and bright. We were eating later in the evening so the kitchen was getting ready to close so the quality of the food was not as it could have been. The steaks were quite fatty and chewy along with the chicken that was a little overdone, however it was all edible and that was all we wanted.

Although it was busy ,they took our booking so obviously thought they could cope ,we waited over hour for our lunch to be served, had to ask for desert menu. Always bit hit and miss here it seems

Great food at great prices. The staff are very nice and hardworking, the tables are spaced out and the place is well looked after. The brownie from the kinds menu is a decent size and only £1.99! Just right if you don’t have a lot of room after the main course but still fancy something sweet.

We have not been here for a while, and I was a little bit disappointed to hear that the manager Mike has left. That being said all of our party had a great evening on Wednesday,food and service was fantastic as always. Nothing was too much trouble for the two girls working, they really did make our evening even more enjoyable, hats off to them.

Visited today with my parents as it looked lovely . We just wanted a pint and some chips as we didn't have a great deal of time. We walked in to find a nice table to sit, and we were met with a 'frosty' "Yes. Can I help you?" I said we were just looking for somewhere nice to sit and were then told.we had to wait to be seated. That was fine but we were waiting a while while the lady served everyone at the bar then told to wait another few minutes while tables were prepared. We were sat in a crowded area with a spot light which was uncomfortable and so asked if we could move to a table near the window. This was fine but they insisted on cleaning the table which already looked spotless. Anyway. We ordered a pint and the "rosemary salted skin on fries". When they arrived it looked like half a bowl of oven chips with no.seasoning and certainly no skins on. When I reluctantly mentioned this to the lovely waitress she said she would get some more rosemary salt we could apply ourselves. Total disappointment! It was a small bowl of salt with a tiny sprinkle of dried rosemary. I have had seasoned fries before in other pubs and they have been knockout delicious! We could see the waitress speaking with the lady who appeared to be in charge and she came over asking if everything was okay. I had to air my disappointment and she suggested we have the regular chips instead. I don't know if they were short staffed or what but said lady was not welcoming , passively aggressive to, not just us, but another couple who wandered in looking for somewhere to sit. No smile, cold as.ice. I appreciate people have off days but I can't say I will be visiting again anytime soon.

We have been coming to the new inn for years but on the last few occasions not good. Unfortunately on par with Wetherspoons.

Wonderful staff who are so friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

This place used to be a gem that whenever we were in the area we would visit. Now, there has been a change of management and although you don’t get the same friendly banter from the current manager as you did with Mike (in fact the new guy is quite rude) thankfully Heleena still remains on the staff. She is a real joy, happy, knowledgeable and just a great person. The food was excellent as always and I imagine the new manager will probably offer the same level of friendliness as Mike used to once he gets more comfortable

Visited here a few times, a bit dubious about tonight’s visit as heard that it recently been taken over by new manager. BUT… nothing to worry about! Very warm welcome by the new manager didn’t catch his name (very nice Welsh Man) Gave a warm welcome, showed us to our table,which we specified in our booking. Ruby was our waitress for the evening, She was very courteous, took our drink order, and gave us adequate time to browse the menu. We ordered our food and that did not disappoint. Some new dishes on the menu and prices not too bad. Our food arrived hot and with a smile From Ruby asking us if there was anything else she could do for us. Food was of a high standard. My only complaint would be the glasses our drinks were served in could have been a bit cleaner… I like a sparkle ✨ Same goes for the plates the food was served on… maybe a little wipe after the dishwasher cycle. But would definitely visit again. Well done to Ruby excellent service!😇
