My second visit here with the kids and was yet again very pleasant, food was delicious and customer service was excellent, highly recommend

Very welcoming and friendly environment, kids and I absolutely loved the food very hot, very delicious, the lamb chops were soft and tender with amazing flavours, chicken was so soft and moist, definitely will be returning here again, Staff were so attentive and polite great customer service always serving with a smile

I love a curry and I've tried them all Tamasha, Indian Essence, Shampan etc etc. I have had two takeaways from New India and they've been really good. Fresh and tasty and very good value, the food I have had has been as good as any takeaway I have had. I hope it continues to be as consistent as it has been. I'd never heard of this restaurant before and I am delighted to have come across them. They deserve more recognition.

Although not a large restaurant, the attentive service and succulent cuisine made the experience s positive one on so many levels. Grange range provided by the 'a la carte' menu - having chosen onion bhajis for starters, along with the traditional poppadoms, I tucked into a spicy (not overly) chicken morisa, with a side dish of coconut rice, and shared a garlic naan with my friend. Absolutely scrumptious - and a good portion of chicken morisa too! We also shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio 'Rose' (Spanish) wine, which went down marvelously well with our meals - neither too dry, nor too sweet. Just right. We definitely pan on heading back here again in the new year! Additionally, this restaurant offers a 'take-away' menu, with a 10% discount on collections, plus free home delivery within a 3-mile radius for spends in excess of £15. Also worth consideration!

We visited on a Saturday evening and although the restaurant was not full there was a good atmosphere. My wife enjoyed a chicken tikka masala whilst I tucked into a Korai chicken, to my taste it could have been spicier but my taste buds have suffered years of Thai curries! We shall no doubt return.

It was very busy when we visited, as it was a Saturday night. The service could have been a bit quicker, but there were a couple of large parties, so that could have been the reason. The food was good and the a reasonable price

Restaurant was empty on arrival - maybe not a good sign. Shortly after finishing meal we were asked if we could leave even though restaurant was due to close 40 mins later. Staff were very rude and abrupt. This place is not the same since the change in ownership

Eaten here twice before and had excellent meals. Today the service was very slow and the meal not up to scratch. Lamb was tough, vegetable dansak seemed like frozen mixed vegetables and wrong naan bread served.

Had an amazing meal here tonight, 4 of us popped in, no reservation & luckily grabbed the last table. After this anyone who came in was turned away & there was enough enquires to have filled it twice. I had the chicken tikka with saag aloo & a plain naan. It was to die for I cleared the whole lot... never done that before ! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Service polite friendly with no rushing. Food perfect. Toilets (well the ladies) were clean & warm. Very reasonably priced. Will be going here again. Think I’ll make a reservation in future, just to avoid disappointment !!!

I’ve been using this old school place for many years and although it’s has changed hands over the last couple of years still always a very warm welcome and excellent food at very reasonable prices. Wouldn’t go eneywhere else in Bromley.

We eat in and have takeaways from this great little local curry house all the time. The food is always good and the service friendly. It's quite small for eating in so not ideal for larger groups. Very reasonable prices too. I'm vegetarian and always find something good. My husband says the chicken madras is wonderful!

Been here a few times with friends but have to say I had a Lamb tikka that an aborigini could have cooked better over a low heat with his recently culled 40 year old sheep that he’d beaten constantly with a spatchula it was inedible..

Great curry, interior design and quality service. Reccomend the Jalfrezi highly- great for any type of group going.

The food at this place is an absolute 5 out of 5 - would definately recommend. It's slightly let down by it's very basic interior, but as the prices are reasonable I'd say it's a total winner!! Great for groups.

I had my first curry here forty five years ago ! Still really good, no frills basic curry house. Nice people here. Who remembers the Bombay duck ?

It has changed hands and they don't do the lovely Thali they used to do but please give it a try anyway. My husband and I had a wonderful meal and very good service despite our expectation based on the negative reviews. Make your own judgement based on your own experience. We did and were really pleasantly surprised. Excellent king prawns, Really good vegetarian options.Go try don't be put off by the negative feedback on here.

No hagas caso a cualquier desagradable en este lugar, pero es más que probable que uno de sus competidores! Algo de los tandoor es increíble que el pollo, etc. para marninade 48 horas así que es especialmente suculento. El chole es increíble con takka ajo asado encantador.

Ir a Nuevo La India era como retroceder en el tiempo a los años 70 cuando los restaurantes indios se hizo popular en las calles de alta de Inglaterra. Es apretado pequeño y no muy cómodo. El servicio era lento y la comida era sosa y no picante. Cuando los calentadores de velas fueron colocadas en la mesa para mantener la comida caliente sabía que iba a ser basura! No me equivoqué!

Nueva india bajo la nueva dirección. Personas r cambió. La comida es buena, pero ligeramente diferente de la anterior. Me ha pasado con mis amigos. Qué triste noticia Sohel trepó queda desde allí. Es como dice la gente. Precio razonable restaurante indio. Buena comida y muy buen masala. madras De nuevo, el aspecto que me gustó. Parece un típico quizás 80 Indios que en realidad es como una "retro" y espero que no suena ofensivo es una ventaja. El dueño dijo que son las más antiguas en Bromley - 51 años. Precio bien menos de £44 para comidas cervezas papadums. Como muchos antes que yo han dicho, este es un confiable casa curry, sin emociones, pero de alguna manera eso es lo que a veces es necesario. Un poco decepcionado por la falta de flexibilidad por el menú, más caliente o una carne con el curry. Me puede volver, no será para una comida que planear con antelación!

La nueva India no pretende ser algo que no es. Tiene un menú pequeño con sus favoritos y algunos especiales habituales británico. . Pero no páginas y páginas a través de arado platos favorecedora para engañar.

We was attending the Churchill theatre so walked along east street as there are so many restaurants to choose from there. We thought it looked a nice clean place to eat so would give it a try. The staff was pleasant , food was good and it was nice and cool. would return there again.

I was up in Bromley visiting friends and decided to try a restaurant I hadn't been to before.Firstly, it was a very humid day and on entering a member of staff made sure the fan was pointing in our direction, which was appreciated!. The staff were friendly and the restaurant seemed in reasonable order, without being overly flashy.The starters were fine, my Sheek Kebab nice enough. I had a garlic chilli chicken main which was very tasty and my friend had a lamb chilli dish, also pretty good. We had a few sides ie mushroom bhaji, a bread and rices, all of a decent standard. If I had one little moan, the saag wasn't the best I've had but overall a fairly enjoyable experience and the cost was reasonable too.

The food tastes great you have a variety of dishes to choose and every dish has something special. Do not be affected by the appearance of the restaurant just go inside and order and you will be surprised!

We have been to this restaurant several times. Service & quality have usually been quite good, but on this occasion the food was poor & the service was impolite, to say the least. We shall not be returning.Their Tandoori Chicken was not as described & the Onion & Coriander Nan barely tasted of either. We did complain, but this fell on deaf ears. Disappointing return to a once good restaurant.

Absolutely love this please! Great, very tasty and reasonable priced food, plus very friendly and helpful staff. Moved to Essex a few years ago and still haven't found a a curry place which I could compare to this one. Truly missing this place and its food.

Dropped in to this place somewhat randomly when a friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Great food, well presented, and great service. I shall certainly return and I would say to anyone in Bromley town centre looking for a good Indian meal to try this place. Well done.

We loved our eat in meal at this restaurant tonight and will definitely be going back next week to try more of there great food and excellent service. The tandoori platter was cooked to perfection and the coconut rice was one of the best we had ever had and we have travelled the world extensively. It's east to find and only a small restaurant will real table cloths. And napkins- not plastic or paper !

Late evening dinner on. Saturday night, 28.05.16.Fairly typical Indian restaurant. Polite and friendly staff, decent food at a fair price.

I visit here often with friends or my girlfriend. Mo is a wonderful host. I usually order the same thing here as it's so tasty I don't want to risk being disappointed. Their King Prawn Jalfrezi is the best I've ever had as it's all their breads. Won't even consider a different Indian if in the town centre. Thank you for all your hard work and amazing food

Arrived 7.45pm Sunday evening. Drink & popadum order taken quickly as we gave it go them. Only one other party left by then. Quite a while for staters to come, then quite a mile for main course. No drinks or dessert menu offered just bill presented when plates cleared arrived. As we had ordered 3 drinks each disappointed way evening ended.

We go there regularly with a group of mates (6-8 people). Service is always quick, never have to wait. Love the new india platter as a starter which is a mix of different kebabs and chef rawlla is top as a main: chicken, lamb and prawn all togetherNice onion bahdjis, I like a mushroom bahdji too. Love their coconut rice and all naans are great. Cheese naan and garlic and chili naans are top. Never have to wait for a Cobra refill, just love that place!

Popped in and ordered a take away. A typical Indian menu offering a wide selection of popular and specialty items so everyone should find something. The service was excellent and the food was prepared promptly. The food was tasty and portion size adequate. Good value from my point of view and they offer a 10% discount on takeaway and even threw in a free poppadom. No complaints

Have eaten there twice last two months, small restaurant. Speedy service, well spiced/flavoured delicious food. "Seem to stick to traditional menus, nothing fanciful" Just perfect. Will recommend and definitely eat there again.

Love this place. As others have said, not flashy inside but the food is awesome and the guys in there are great. Apparently the oldest curry house in Bromley as well.

Extremely disappointing service. No courtesy. Not at all suitable for vegetarians. I will insist that if you are vegetarian simply avoid this restaurant. Specially if you are indian don't even think of visiting this restaurant. They are literally shame on the name of India. Doesn't seem like they even belong to India. They are just using name of India for their business purposes.

Popped in here while passing in the car and was really impressed with the food and service. The Lamb tikka starter was expertly spiced and tender. The garlic chilli chicken main was nice and spicy and not dry in yhe slightest. We were made to feel welcome throughout by friendly staff and the restaurant was very cosy. Will deff come back

This is not the most modern of restaurants but the food is excellent and reasonably priced.The staff are very polite and helpful. Have been here numerous times over the years and always found the service and food to be the same standard.

This is my absolute favourite curry house to go to! I used to come regularly with my sister but we have recently moved areas. Will definitely be coming back for my regular visit very soon! Food is always delicious and full of flavour, service is great! Very traditional menu. Absolutely amazing, could not rate highly enough!

Great place for Indian food! Visit the place every time my dad comes down to Bromley and it never fails to deliver! Lamb Achari is a great dish and one of the best ever tasted

There are quite a few restaurants to choose from on East Street, we fancied an indian and heard good things about New India.I tried the Prawn Puri for starter and Lamb Punjab for main, also had some onion bhadji and garlic naan, everything was very nice and tasty, my friends had chicken tikka masala and chicken korma, they said it was very nice too, will definitely go there again: good food, good service and good location too!

Great food but i have to say everytime we go there we have spent alot of money and although the food is good they never offer a complimentary drink, we are always offered a complimentary drink in the indian restaurants we go in but this one never does! I think its bad taste to not offer .

We had a nice table, food and service was very good. Staff couldn't do enough for you. If you are celebrating or want a bit more privacy book the table by the window. Would we go again, yes. One of only a few restaurants we have been to where you get a complimentary drink at the end of your meal.

I love, love, love this place. Been coming here for years and it is always top class, delicious, authentic food. Staff very friendly and always obliging to any change on the menu. It is a wonderfully decorated old style Indian restaurant, and the icing on the cake they always play proper Indian music which is just as it should be when you're tucking in to your prawn piri! Superb.

This is a standard Indian restaurant. The food is nice enough. The service is fine. Nothing to get excited about - just decent food at a reasonable price.

Unassuming exterior and interior, however the food and service make up for that. Staff are friendly and the service was quick. Have visited this restaurant more than once and will continue .

Party of four , the food was excellent , apart from my dish .Lamb joypuri ....why oh why do Indian restaurants continue to buy cheap cuts & then worsen by not cooking them adequately .Lamb was tough , stringy, & frankly had no great taste .I managed to salvage a couple of tendered pieces out of the dish & on that basis a member of staff felt quite strongly that my complaint was unjustified ( not good customer relations )which resulted in some unpleasant dialogue .!Agree with other reviewers ... The staff are a little off .

Portions are small but the food is OK. Service is a bit rushed but we did get a complimentary drink at the end. Its really just what you'd expect from an out of town curry house. Its not bad, its not great its just........well.....average. I find the more competition the better the food tends to be.

Been here several times but went last night and felt like we were treated as just another number, food was tasty but portions were quite small. The waiter seemed rushed and bored, accepted our good tip with no acknowledgement and offered no drink on the house not even the cheap miserly shot of baileys at the end...spent over £100, tipped another £12 and felt unappreciated.

Not an impressive looking Indian restaurant inside or out. But excellent food and service every time we have been there. Established in the 1960's and still very popular.

Standard Indian Fayre that is well-prepared and extremely tasty. Nothing special about the range of Food , but the quality is very good. Only issue is that the Restaurant is rather small and can get a bit cramped. Service and Prices are usually very good. Certainly worth a visit.

New India is a great authentic indian restaurant.The food is great the staff are attentive,by far the best indian in bromley.

I visited this restaurant with Family, my father in law noticed it has been re vamped and complimented the staff to which they looked confused and mumbled something back.... Bit weird, anyway they sat us down and I was due to sit next to a pillar that was right against my body to which I refused and we moved, the menu is very basic, I feel it's a great place for lads that are just up for a ruby after the boozer but not family, staff looked like they were on the verge of committing suicide not a smile insight. When the food arrived I thought this is ok tasted ok and that was it. Perfect for lads after the pub, for family not son much!

I actually quite liked this place. Not sure it'd be everyone's cup of tea but the food is pretty good. Service good too, and even offered a 'digestif' drink afterwood.The setting lets it down. So not ideal for anything fancier than a couple lads grabbing a curry type of situation. Some couples tables are situated in a narrow corridor leading down to the toilet (presumably caused by the kitchen section on the other side of the wall). Creates a bit of a strange atmosphere and kills all romance!

Yes, this place could look a bit more modern and have some sort of atmosphere. The food really is excellent and I think this is one of the more underrated restaurants in Bromley. I've had better food here than I have had on Brick Lane. My only criticism is the lack of flexibility on vegetarian options.

This is an underrated restaurant. The interior is ordinary, a little drab and quite small. Don't be put off. The food is simply excellent. It blows away any Indian in the vicinity. If you like your food served quickly out of a bucket, don't come here. You have to wait for it to be cooked and yes, the portions aren't large. The prices are very keen considering the quality. Thoroughly recommended.

Surprisingly popular, not sure why. It's very average, quite crowded. They aren't doing anything wrong, but neither are they going to blow you away. The prices are not that cheap unless you get the limited specials. Not a 'destination', but perhaps a 'port in a storm'.

Probably the oldest Indian Restaurant left in Bromley's Town Centre. It used to be our favourite Indian Restaurant 30 years ago. After a long absence we have returned there a couple of times in the last few months. The food was enjoyable but stingy on portions. The front of house is awful: unwelcoming staff, tired furnishings and empty with no atmosphere. Warning: as soon as you are seated, they ask you if you want poppadoms and serve them with chutneys before handing you the menu. They charged us about £3 per head for chutneys on top of charging for the poppadoms which we have never experienced in other Indian Restaurants. When we queried the bill, they were unapologetic and did not offer to adjust it. Sent some feedback via their web site but no response came back. They've given up and, therefore, so have we! What a shame!
