Shocking service. Very disgusting attitude towards customers. Could not even give the food a 1/10 it’s that poor. Far from authentic Chinese food like the majority of Chinese takeaways. They think they can give you absolute crap for top money. No fresh ingredients or local produce. Absolutely a no from me.

Delicious as usual. Ordered online to have it delievered to the local social club where we was watching the football between 530 & 730. On ordering it clearly stated cash on delivery so was prepared with the amount needed. We ordered 2 x hong sing specials with rice and curry sauce and prawn crackers. Delievered hot and great timing given it was half time when the driver arrived. Lots of flavour as always. Our go to, even though there is another chinese takeout in walking distance we alsways come here.

I have been having amazing tasting takeaways from the new hong sing in Redruth for years and years we had a takeaway here a couple of weeks ago and were shocked how down hill the food had gone !! I have always loved the curries and have always recommended them for the flavour of the sauce in the curry, well we were all shocked the curry was watery, wasn’t spicy at all and tasted more like a gravy we all couldn’t eat it to be honest and whilst pouring it in the bin the juice from the curry looked like a cup of tea !! The chips were soggy and tasted and looked warmed up !!! Seriously disappointed and will never waste my money again very disappointing!!!

I ordered this evening and managed to miss the delivery and the drivers call on my mobile. Hong Sing were fantastic and after I did catch up, they redelivered whilst the food was still hot and they kindly included some free prawn crackers! Over and above but that's why Hong Sing is the best Chinese takeaway in Redruth. Great quality food and service!

Being a business owner locally customer experience is paramount… the GIRL on the phone was ignorant and was totally condescending… never been talked to like that by anyone and then left a voicemail saying they wouldn’t change out £120 order that they got wrong… make sure you you double check the order before they drop off

This is not a restaurant ! But an excellent takeaway and delivery . We ordered over the phone , not online , it arrived punctually on time . The food was evidently freshly cooked , the taste was delicious , the king prawns were succulent and fresh . We would highly recommend this Chinese takeaway , above any others we have used in this area

Ordered early on their website for pick up at 6, when I arrived it looked like a lot of people had done the same! Walked out at 605 with my order, piping hot and tasty Their staff were working hard! As I left they were quoting 45 minute delays Highly recommend the onion rings!! Outrageously popular takeaway but if you are organised you can get what you want when you want it

Probably the worst Chinese I have ever had,prawn balls stodgy and greasy spare ribs were mainly gristle and the chicken foo young was bland

We booked online to collect as we have been waiting hours for deliveries before. The collection was booked for 6:30pm so I turned up at 6:30 (with mask on as still being careful) to be told it was on the way. I was then sat in their "waiting room" for over 30 minutes until the food was ready. What is the point of offering a collection time if you are expected to sit and wait for half an hour anyway! I won't bother again.

Stayed loyal with their 30min to 3 hr timeline since the pandemic started as their food was good. Unfortunately nearly 2 years in they’re still using the 1/2 hr to 3 hr time slot…. The last 5 or 6 times we’ve waited over 3 hrs for delivery but persisted as usually good food. Unfortunately tonight we ordered again and at the 2 & 1/2 hr point rang up to check on a to be honest basic standard order of curry/sweet and sour along with a vegetarian option of sczehuan. On delivery the food was tepid and my partner had to microwave his food… rang to explain and after being told my partner had already rang to ask where the order was, why was I ringing? Erm my food is tepid after waiting 2&1/2 hours for delivery…. Lost a 4 year loyal customer tonight well done !!

Placed a order waited over three hours which is there time window which I except, but when it didn’t turn up I emailed them saying I want a refund as I’m a very loyal customer I rang them and they hung up on me and then they replied with this bull s@“t “ Hello Chris Sorry to hear you’ve bad experience with us this evening. Ordered duck with pancakes ....no pancakes! called up after a little bit of back and forth the missing pancakes were sent out for delivery. 33 minutes later a cold wet plastic bag of pancakes arrived to accompany the now cold and greasy duck! I also ordered pineapple rice with no chicken and on eating it it indeed still contained small pieces of chicken ...(which may be were to small to pick out! ) Called in to complain that really the duck was inedible time the pancakes arrived only to recieve a less than friendly response from the charming girl that takes the orders over the phone. Was not willing to accept that they made a mistake again (had prawns in my pancake rolls in the past despite clearing stating no seafood and that was our error too!) Were told if we didn't like it then to go elsewhere!! We have been using this particular Chinese restaurant for the last 27+ years and always rated the food highly and recommended to everyone, but the last 12-18 months the service and standard has definitely dropped well below par. Oh and the customer service is non existent!!!

We own a holiday park home just outside Redruth and have been trying to find a good Chinese when we are down. The local community board recommended Hong Sing and we tried it. We were not disappointed, easy to order, delivery excellent, food hot and great quality and flavour. We had never had anything delivered to the park before and thought we’d try it. First time they(driver) phoned from reception, which was great but after that with a better description of our location within the park, it now arrives at the door. We love the options of being able to change some parts of the dishes eg: Spring Rolls. You can, if you wish, have no prawns, ideal for a non seafood eating hubby, or no pork. A great idea. Certainly recommend

The food quality was excellent, and you got a lot for your money! Me and my nan loved the sweet and sour chicken and thought the spare ribs were delicious. Will definitely return.

New to redruth , I was looking for a Chinese that’s not greasy not two salty and served hot food not cold . I searched for the best reviews around redruth and this one was the best. The food was really tasty I had lemon chicken , chicken chowmein and chicken balls can honestly say it was lovely ! Very happy with it and the girl the phone was friendly and chirpy without no hassle on the phone to order, it took a while for delivery but was worth the wait very hot,good quality food, and a lot of it defo get your money’s worth will be making bigger orders in the future!!

I have had a Chinese from here on many occasions and never have had a problem. The food has been tasty, hot and plentiful. Always collect the order and check all is correct before leaving and never had any issues.

This food was very bland and the satay sauce was chilli sauce will not be going back. So sorry I spent my hard earned money.

Gotta be the Best in town, I have been having meals from the New Hong Sing for many years now and I have always enjoyed their meals and had good service from their freindly staff.

I ordered from New Hong Sing only to get home and realise that part of my order was wrong and there was food missing. I went back to the takeaway to tell them this and hoped to sort it out when I was told that I was in the wrong and that the order I received was correct. I showed my receipt and exactly what I ordered and I was told that I never ordered the food that was missing. Also, when I explained they got some food wrong, I got no response and they just ignored me. Very disappointed and wont be returning again.

staff here are always friendly and polite they will adapt the menu to your taste or dietary requirements always hot and tasty

Far from shovelling it down cos I we were so hungry after so long a wait the wife and I enjoyed our meal which, in a house not easy to find, was delivered in an hour. It was tasty and not sparse on the main ingredients. Plenty of King prawns in mine. A 'test' to find us- on. Saturday Evening they passed with flying colours. Would recommend without any caveat.

We picked this place as a treat for our son and wish we hadn't. No only did they get our order wrong , but it was terrible. We arrived at the takeaway around 5 and it was quite busy with lots of shouting coming from the kitchen . The chow mien was bland . The prawn crackers were stale and soft not crunchy like they are supposed to be . We wont be visiting again

The most complex website I've encountered for ordering a takeaway. You have to register for an account you cannot check out as a guest and there is no option for collection rather than delivery30 minutes of my life I will never get backWe went elsewhere

I haven't ordered from here in a while but it was our wedding anniversary so I thought I would treat us, I ordered just after 5.30pm thinking it usually takes an hour so that's plenty of time. Delivery took over 2 hours and the food was cold. I don't mind waiting if the food is good but this was very poor and to have to reheat it just isn't acceptable. I won't be using again.

I needed a Chinese takeaway while in the area and easily came across New Hong Sing as there is loads of nearby free parking after 4pm. (Delivery also available). My food order was taken and prepared quickly and, unusual for a Chinese Takeaway in my experience, contactless card payment was available. A definite plus in my opinion. Food was reasonably priced, delicious, and hot enough to be just fine when I returned to my accommodation. Recommended.

Ordered for two for delivery. Ordered online website is a but complicated but not bad. Food came after 1.5 hours and was not worth the wait. The pancake rolls were just full of beansprouts and grease. My vwgatale satay was nothing like ay satay I have seen before. Is was vegtables in a slightly spicy orange tasteless liquid. The noodles were dry and again tasteless. Will never go back. Waste of money

This is a typical chinese take away with a good choice of menu. They have a spacious waiting area where you get to watch the bustle of the delivery drivers as they dash in and out. We collected ours and it was lovely. Hot, tasty and filling. Recommend this to anyone.

We ordered via the website which has so much choice, this Chinese offers more items than any of the other Chinese takeaways in the area. We ordered on a weekday, our food was delivered an hour after ordering. Our food was hot when it arrived, portion sizes very good and the food was lovely. Would be nice to have an estimated delivery time given on ordering

Sadly gone down hill. After using this for years its now the worst Chinese. The last 3 or 4 orders haven't been correct & this one was the worse yet. We ordered vegetable curry with added chicken, which we've had in the past and it's been delicious. What arrived was chicken in a curry sauce. No onions in it or peas, just chicken. We've complained in the past & nothing is done about it, so sadly this is the last time we use this chinese

One of the worst takeaways I've ever had! The mixed starter was overcooked, squashed & bland and the sauce was like jelly. The mains were no better... looked awful and had no flavour at all. Very disappointing.

Having recently moved to the area we were on the look out for a new Chinese so thought we would give this one a try. Although our order took 2 hours (though it was on a Saturday night to arrive it was hot and cooked to perfection. The fact that it took so long to arrive shows how good this Chinese actually is and we will be ordering again just slightly earlier on a Saturday night.

A friendly family run Chinese take away who also deliver. Amazing food at a great price! Friendly staff where nothing is too much bother. Highly recommend!!!!

im sorry that Hong sing has gone down hill. Pancake rolls today greasy and filled with bland noodles, they haven't had a curry sauce that actually tastes of curry on the curry specials for the last couple of orders so tonight just opted for the sauce.Mistake! Tasteless. Fried rice dish tonight same as last time over cooked gloopy rice and chewy gristly pork. Considering that good quality pork meat is one of the cheapest to buy in supermarkets now this second rate meat isn't acceptable. The 3 star average rating is generous. I'm not going to buy from here again because having given feedback for the last few visits and just seeing the quality drop even further it's obvious the owners don't care. Spend your money elsewhere!

Fancying a Chinese takeaway and our usual Chinese being closed due to the festive season we thought we would try here. Bad decision, should of waited till tomorrow and stuck to what we knew. The order was taken and ready in the time given so that’s fair. The food however was vile. Sweet and Sour chicken balls that were so greasy I had to wrap them in kitchen roll before I could eat them with the tang taste of dirty cooking oil, chips that were so salty I didn’t want to eat them and a pancake roll which can only be described as a tasteless beansprout roll.

The Hong Sing provides consistantly excellent food. They do a particularly excellent mixed starter and have friendly staff.

For the 3rd time they have messed my order up giving me the wrong dish, most recently I ordered king prawns and got chicken balls, I explained that I was a pescetarian and obviously can't eat chicken I put emphasis on this as I thought they would get it wrong. Still to no surprise I ended up with chicken balls! I highly recommend you do not go here unless you want a lucky dip order!!!

Been to Hong Sing many a time now because the one at the bottom of town Golden Koi that we used to use got pretty bad.Everytime we go to Hong Sing the order is always right and cooked right, the place is always packed right out on evenings, just goes to show how good it is!The phone never stops ringing, Best Chinese in Redruth!

Ordered On a Saturday night at 5.00pm (had my nephews visiting later after bonfire night).I wanted to give plenty of notice for a delivery around 7.30 ish, I rang just before placing the order online at 5 to make sure it wouldn't turn up before all was ok was assured by the girl on the phone order would be set aside until needed.Around 5.45 the order arrived with no one home to eat it!! rang and complained was told to send it back, did confirm with the girl it wouldn't be just kept warm and was told We don't do things like that here, (her words).Well the food arrived around 8.00pm no problem, I think the girl was honest as the food wasn't kept warm at all !!! I think it was just chucked in a corner somewhere as the food was all but cold, the chips where like leather most of it went in the bin.The food on previous orders has been very tasteless lately with very disorganised delivery if you get it at all I spend around £40 to £60 a go at this place, which apparently dosent mean nothing to them, they are just getting greedy and a bit too self confidant on the reputation built by others.I will not spend any more with this place and I know a few long term locals who share the same thought.This review is not a spiteful get back, just an honest one.Service may be better if you went and collected in person.

Placed an order online but didn't receive any confirmation so I called the shop to confirm that the order had been received, I was told straight away by the lady that my order was being prepared and that it would be with me shortly. After waiting for 1 and a half hours I then called the shop again to be told by a man that could hardly even understand English that he was sorry but they have all gone home so i wont be getting any food and to deal with this tomorrow eventhough they had already taken my money and told me that my order was being prepared over an hour and a half before this call. Have been using this take away for the last two years, firstly because they deliver to our area and secondly we have never had a bad meal.You sometimes have to wait a while, but you are always informed when ordering of the wait.The girl that works on the front desk is amazing, the phone never stops ringing and the shop is always full.The other good thing is they have 5 star 'scores on the doors EHO rating)

I don't think I can fairly rate "atmosphere", "value" etc. It's a takeaway. But I can certainly rate the food. It was disgusting. It all tasted the same, was extremely stodgy. So greasy. I felt really sick after eating it even though most of it went in the bin. Must have been full of msg, it made us all so thirsty. Won't ever go back.

Even thought they were exceptionally busy the food was quick and of a great quality. The person behind the desk seemed unflappable as call after call came in and customers through the door. Deffinately recommend.

Food arrived fast and very hot and that's as good as it got the spare ribs are bright pink/red it stained your fingers and sooooo sweet, the chicken chow has more veg then noodles, the s&s chicken ball had the thickest undercooked batter that we just couldn't eat and raw chips. We hardly ate any of it and have felt very sick since looks like a night with the big white telephone never again
