Noodles were yummy, but could have had a bit more flavour. The tofu had an amazing texture, holding the flavour well and the chillis complimented it nicely. Staff were friendly and very welcoming and the whole meal was good value for money. Would definitely come here again!

I used to use this establishment fortnightly until 4 years ago when a £50 meal was put straight into the bin as it was inedible and yet when I complained I was told to use another take away then the phone was put down on me. And this happened after it went under new management. So 4 years later I did wonder if it had now improved so Saturday 1st May I went there and tried it again.I really should have taken notice that at 19.30 this place should have been full of the customers outside waiting to collect orders & the delivery guys rushed off his feet. And was told it would be ready in 10 minutes, busy Saturday night - No way.Really who was I kidding spent £28 on a meal to say if was BAD would be an understatement, not even the chicken or so-called large lumps of meat and why half fill the container with rice and huge lumps of onions? The chicken & cashew nuts just had lumps of chicken nuts on top and a brown sauce on the top oh and let's not forget the huge bits of onions under the chicken. The special fried rice. nothing fried about that rice, just huge bits of meat.Put the food out for the foxs that come into my garden and they will eat anything well apart from onions & peppers!!! not even the fox would eat it!! Had to pick it up from the garden Sunday morning and put it once again in the bin.So would I use them again? It would have to be a cold day in hell first.

Dreadful!!! Ordered a meal for New Year’s Eve at 5pm. Still no food at 7pm. I called the restaurant to be told that couldn’t find my order however it had been confirmed on Deliveroo as being prepared, I was left waiting on the phone for 5 mins while they searched for my order. Restaurant then tell me its not been printed so not even in the kitchen!!!!! So at 7.30pm still no food and told they cant refund me and I need to speak to Deliveroo. Terrible customer service not even an apology

Hmmmm okay, lots of places closed at the moment, but if your going to do delivery, then at least be honest with your timings.You quote 30 go 90 min delivery times, but 2 hours later still no sign of anything, no communication, so I get hold of you to be told at least another 30 mins!!!I dread to think what the actual F is actually gonna turn upWill update later

Never again, this was terrible!!!! The Sweet & sour Pork Balls were unbelievably rank, nothing crisp about the rock hard batter. The fried rice was very oily, but it least was "a flavur" in this enedible dish. Ordered curry sauce instead of the S&S sauce but hey delivered S&S anyway. The chicken satay was without the satay sauce, and the Salt & Chilli prawns were just shrimps in batter and again NO flavour. The portions were concideably smaller than our usual Chinese which is currently closed due to Corona Virus, God I hope thing improve and both health is restored andthey re-open.

Ordered a meal from the Golden rice, my usual was closed .Had the crispy beef, deep-fat fried, rock-hard. Chicken chow mein, no chicken just chow mein, very oily.At £6.90 a dish, disgusting. called the takeaway, said he did not have any drivers to deliver me another, free one next time. believe me there won't be a next time!!! In all, I spent £24 for a few items,worst Chinese I have ever tasted. stay clear, over-priced rubbish!! You can find better than this.

This business is terrible! Not the first time we have had problems so silly us for going back! They tell us our order will be 60 minuets, 2 hours later nothing, we called and the man on the phone ‘claiming he can’t hear us’ when the lady 2 seconds before using the same line! Laughed down the phone to us and was progressively rude! Avoid this establishment!

Ordered and eaten take away tonight. Ordered from them before but having spent over £42 did not receive any prawn crackers. Spent over £30 at other restaurants and got them!!! What meanies!!!!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE!! Used a couple of times now but this time was the last. They are rude on the phone when placing order. Then told me it would take 60-70 minutes which is understandable on a Friday evening but at 1.5 hours i called to ask where my food was to be told rudely it’s on its way. Another half hour went by.....finally 2 hours 10 minutes later it finally turns up! The sweet and sour sauce was not sauce anymore, the chicken balls and chips were soggy and the rest was freezing. I called to say I would only be paying half to be greeted by a different ruder person demanding I pay full. Will not be using these again!

Good quality food and a great selection of many old and new dishes. Price wise it's no different from the many take aways in North Camp but service wise I've never had long to wsit!

Been out all day wanted something quick ordered 2 special fried rice and 2 curry sauces, well when I've had special fried before usually has pork, prawns, chicken and egg and tasty, not this lucky if you found any pork, prawns or egg and tasteless very disappointing and expensive won't bother again will go to my usual which is always delicious.

Ordered duck, pork balls, prawn toast, vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice and in bean curd in black bean sauce. Was well packaged and hot when got it home. Bit pricey but a decent take away. The £1 vouchers are a nice touch.

Made a big order on a Saturday night which is understandably busy and were told an hour and a half wait. Had to call twice to eventually get our food an hour late and not even an apology or a goodwill gesture offered. Food was then only average. Definitely won't be using again.

We always have Chinese from New Golden Rice , the food is always very good and delivered super quickly. Their crispy duck is incredible! And really reasonable prices.

Phonecall received at 7:30pm to say food would be delivered at 8:30 to 9pm. 10pm and still no food and unable to get through to restaurant on phone for over 40 minutes. Finally got through and food still not ready and no apology. Order cancelled and not using again.

Took TWO HOURS for food to arrive, phoned them to see where it was and they did not even have any clue when it would arrive. NEVER USE THIS RESTAURANT ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AND USELSS.

Although the food was nice, ordering at 7pm, to call at 8pm to chase to be told it would be here at 8:30/8:45, to have to call again at 9:10pm and be told they couldn't find my order and needed to find out if a driver had taken it or if someone else had and they'd call back. No call back, number constantly engaged, had to contact just eat and they couldn't get through to them either or the owner, food finally arrived at 9:50pm, 10 minutes shy of 3 hours. Absolute disgrace and a ridiculous wait time.

Food was great. order placed and found the restaurant added 20 mins to the order which was fine and the food arrived 13 minutes later then the added time food was still warm but was no where near hot.

The crispy duck was delicious. Being the greatest lover of springrolls, i was very disappointed. 8x very small springrolls with hardly any filling inside, however, the sweet chilli sauce made up for it.

Great Chinese takeaway .... you get what you ask for! We get food here at least once a week, always pleased with the grub!

Probably one of the worst takeaways I've had. Crispy shredded beef was more sauce than anything else. Duck wraps were ok... that's all I can say about that. Thai red curry was awful. Jelly-like, like gravy and tasted awful. Boiled rice was good. Didn't get any free prawn crackers either, like you usually do.

Food was good but service was appalling. Big order over £77. But refused free prawn crackers. Visiting family so decided to have a take away treat. We collected the order from the shop and food was ready in good time and to be fair tasty but portion were small and no manners from staff, no thank you not even a smile. Will not be using again. What a shame new golden rice you let yourselfs down

we've had to wait over 1:30 hours for food to be delivered. When contacting the restaurant they told me the driver had already been, then told me he's on his way. we waited a further 15mins and had to ring again and was told the driver is another 10 mins away. a little bit disappointed as if you were stuck in traffic, wouldn't it be nice if you could tell your customers. thank you

I ordered 1/4 aromatic duck which usually comes with a sauce, salad and pancakes.. none of those come. No crackers as per order. Only decent food was the chicken balls and chow mein

We ordered it to arrive at 8.30ish. Time was changed to 8.50 by the restaurant. Didn't turn up till 9... But the food was great tho :D

I ordered food at 7:20pm and delivery was expected at 7:55. I had to call them twice to find out where delivery was, it finally turned up at 8:40!! Food was ok, but not fantastic, portion very small for price and tubs had not been sealed so had leaked !! Will NOT be ordering from here again.

Delivery was over 45 mins late. Chips were half cooked. Food really poor this evening, normally good. Really unsatisfied with service had to call restaurant for a update.

Black bean and beef was way to salty, but apart from that it was ok.

The food was horrible, the egg fried rice was over cooked, bland and had no egg init. The chicken balls was extremely greasy and the sweet and sour sauce was a sweet jelly not a sauce. The chicken chow mein was really dry and greasy at the same time would not recommend this place

The food was really fresh and full of flavor. 1 Item was missing, but Just-eat were really helpful and the item was refunded. Golden Rice were really apologetic and delivered the item anyway. Great customer service means I would not hesitate to order again.

Great tasting food, although the egg fried rice was a little less tasty but a good addition to full flavoured salt and pepper squid and Mongolian lamb. Good portion size and the offer of money off vouchers whenever you order directly with the shop. We collected the food and it was waiting by the time specified, the staff made sure to offer delivery for our next order so will definitely try that when we order again! (No option to dine in as it's takeaway only hence the restaurant review)

60-75 minutes was the time quoted on a Saturday night, food arrived after just 30min. Tasted great, would order again for sure.

Good food and normally good service. However, this time the delivery person turned up and thought we still had to pay despite us having paid by card and being able to show him the email. It took 10 minutes of him on the phone to the restaurant before he accepted it. All the while dinner was getting cold.

The chips had been refried about 5 times because when I bit into the them there was no potatoe just all crisp and fried, also when it got here it was all cold we had to put everything into the microwave, aswell as it being 20 minutes late I tried to get a refund on the chips and cold chow mein they said they would call back but never did. Not happy with this.

The Thai curry and rice was so good, the chips not so. The chips seemed to be over chips that had been fried and sucked up lots of fat, also tasted double cooked

When I ordered the food it said it would be 1 hour. However, it was there in 30 minutes while I was walking the dogs.

Delivery was exactly on time. Both meals were completely cold and required the microwave!! The rice was hard and chewy - not edible. Was offered 10% of the next order - I wanted a fresh meal / refund. Very disappointed.
