New City Kebab in Canterbury

Ordered on uber eats, an hour later hasn’t been delivered. Very rude man on the phone who then says he isn’t delivering and cancels our order. Wouldn’t recommend

We've used New City Kebabs for years, no complaints about the food it's always been good, but after our recent experience we will not be using them any more. The delivery driver confessed to dropping our food, and we explained that we didn't want food that had been on the floor. So he decided that the best way to deliver it was by throwing it at us and swearing! We did not even get an apology from the takeaway. Fast food delivery!

If you are after an uber / Just eat order shop else where food arrived cold and soggy and when i rang them they are abusive shout at you even after being delivered 30 mins AFTER what i was told on uber £30 wasted wouldnt recook it or even collect their cold skanky food avoid at all measure. Also Highly rude too speak in your own language when you clearly speak english

Top tier kebab - seriously ignore all the 1 star reviews from the late night jobsworths. If you are here for the kebabs you ain’t giving anything but 5 star, ask for extra chilli and you won’t be disappointed. Also owners are great! If I’m ever in the vicinity I will be going here again!!

Sorts you well after a night out

Absolutely terrible, had a lamb Doner and lamb shish, must say it's the only disgusting kebab i ever had; dry lamb and some lettuce, 3 cucumber slices and red cabbage on a half soggy pitta; bland!! You guys don't really know what a kebab is. Wouldn't recommend at all!

Ordered our kebabs and asked for the meat to be well done, kebabs came and the meat was undercooked and looked anemic, chips were also undercooked and inedible. Food went straight in the bin. Won’t be ordering g from here again!

I made an order online, days ahead, and it didn't come. I rang them and they said there wasn't any order. These people are liars.

Our third home delivery and all have been time accurate. The food is exceptional, portions large, full of flavour and using the online ordering it is easy to build the kebab and sides that you want. Nothing at all to even moan about yet, may it just continue.

Very nasty place. 3years on and people are still getting ill. Me my dad thats passed away and now yesterday 2 friends got food poisoning from this place. Anyone intrested in reading reviews STAY AWAY FROM THIS KEBAB SHOP UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET ILL

Amazing food, ordered the chicken burger deal with garlic bread. Spoke to one of the staff members over the phone and he was lovely and very helpful. The delivery driver (Steve) was a star too, he asked me how day was and was very kind, which is the first time a delivery driver has actually really spoken to me and told me to enjoy my meal. Thank you so much, I will definetly be ordering from you again.

Great tasting food, they can be a bit stingy with their salad (hint, ask them for extra, they will give it to you with a grumpy moan). My favourite is the Lamachun, with salad and chilli sauce.

Small portions way overpriced and the place looks like it’s never changed since the 80’s. In terms of cleanliness I don’t even want to go there as the food I ate won’t want to stay in my stomach for too long. Was not even cooked properly and the quality was just horrible. Anyway served me right ‘ as a rule of thumb go by how it looks ! Something in the 80’s should probably stay there lost in time

So surprised with the amount I had on my chicken kebab absolutely gorgeous great value all fresh and great chilli sauce. Loved every thing but couldn't eat it all as it could of fed two! Thank you beautiful food definitely be back and back again.

Takeaway: Ordered a chicken kebab and the chicken pieces were so tiny it resembled cat food. There were a few large fatty chunks but those bits weren’t chicken, I’ve no idea what those bits even were. The chips were crunchy in the middle (undercooked) and my partner said his burger was awful.

Avoid this kebab house!! If I could give this place no stars I would. We ordered and were told half hour for delivery. An hour and 10 minutes later we realise they didn't even ask for our address and we call them back. They say our order will be with us in 2 minutes, and it was. So it had clearly just been sitting there waiting for our call. Our order was burnt and cold and no sauces we had requested. So we call back. They say they will send sauce and more wedges. Great right? Nope, still wrong. Only 2 of the 3 sauces ordered and now the kebab was freezing cold and the wedges didn't have the requested cheese. We call back. Only to be told that they only took 2 minutes so our order couldn't possibly be cold, it was a ten minute wait for the sauce so it was freezing as it was on the verge of being cold when it was originally delivered. Then they said they tried to call me back after the original order was placed But I didn't answer, when I challenged this as no one called i was then told they couldn't get through as my number came up as private. This is a lie, you have to actively set this on your phone and I didn't. They were clearly not going to sort our order, we were left to not be able to eat as a family and had to resort to ordering new food from Bay Kebabs instead, which I would give 5 stars in case you were wondering! Bad food, bad service and bad attitude. Will never order from here again.

Best kebabs in Herne Bay- delicious meat so tender and generous portions, always delivered hot and on time

Woeful customer service and food standards. Found a piece of granite inside my Donar Kebab, approached staff in a calm manner explaining the situation without wanting to cause a scene. The staff member then took the piece of rock hid it underneath the till and didn't acknowledge me or offer salvation whatsoever. Extremely rude and dismissive when I asked if he could reimburse me but basically told me to F off. A guy who was next to me in the queue then strangely told me he was the boss and told me there was no way I was to get my money back before trying to manhandle me. Disgraceful shop, do not go, you're putting yourself at risk.

Great kebabs here. Ive been going here since i can remember. Lovely staff and very nice kebabs mmmmmm. They dont have to but they give free drinks when you get a few kebabs, which is very nice of them. Worth a visit. When we go back to Hackney we normally pop in for a proper Hackney kebab. Best in the World

La ciudad supe como llamas de kebabs, pero el nombre es lo único que ha cambiado. Sólo pedimos desde aquí una vez porque eso fue suficiente para disuadir a mí de por vida - comida llegó en seco, recocido y frío. Sinceramente creo que había sido sentados alrededor de unas horas y luego decidieron servir. Personas en el teléfono y parece grosero y desinteresada imaginamos en servicio al cliente. No soy un gran fan de la gente de habla entre sí en un idioma extranjero el cliente - concedido este puede ser su lengua nativa, pero que da la sensación de que estás siendo habló (aunque estoy seguro de que este no es el caso) hazte un favor, a pie hasta la bahía de la ciudad más kebabs, ¡no te arrepentirás!

OUCHIE POOS!!! I was very disappointed by this kebab "house". For starters (hehe - no pun intended - hehe), their customer service was outright naughty! You may not like me. But at least look me in the eye (facial eye) when you give me a kebab. Plz? Don't get me started on the salad! OH NO! YOU GOT ME STARTED ON THE SALAD!!! It cost me £1.20 in addition to the £1.70 for a large chips. RIDICULOUS!!!
