Ness Cafe in East Riding of Yorkshire

Staff were very rude and the food unedible. Asked for a refund for the untouched food but they carried on and had a go at me so I gave money back and left the food. I've taken a picture of the food and reported it to the food standards agency so I can email them the pictures of the food. 02072768829 so expect a visit from them ladies for your very poor customer service and poor hygiene standards and inability to cook food to an expectable standard.

Terrible customer service. Jacket potato was hard. Will be sending food and hygiene to this cafe to check then out. Not only are the staff very rude the food was not edible. Asked for a refund. My friend come back to the car in tears. Went to give her the money back as they need it more than we do obviously. Will definitely be contacting the appropriate people as when we asked for a refund the lady started being very nasty with me.

Called in by chance on our journey home from Filey. Friendly welcoming staff and spotlessly clean cafe. Breakfast was excellent value, 5 out of 5 for both quality and quantity. Give it a try.

What a brilliant place this is. Friendly staff, excellent food, very good value for money. I used the toilets and they may be a bit dated ( it's a very old building ) I found them to be spotless. Please don't be put off by previous reviews- I am glad we weren't

This place is a prime example of everything that was wrong with the cheap cafés of yesteryear. Except it's not cheap. Slow service, mediocre food (come on guys, how difficult is it to make a decent bacon sandwich when you're doing it for a living?), absolutely disgusting toilets which look like they haven't been cleaned in months - despite the tacky token wall sticker purporting "our aim is to keep this toilet clean.. So please mind your aim". If I hadn't already ordered my food I would have left. If that wasn't bad enough, take a look at the condiments rack over on the right. On offering is an exciting display of mismatched sauce covered bottles that look like they've been in your cupboard for 10 years. They even use the old trick of putting the cheapest gloopiest luminescent ketchup that you can buy, then put it in heinz bottles. I know your can't asktoo much of this town, a shadow of its one great former self, but it's so easy to get this kind of place right. Give it a miss.
