Nepalese Chef in Gloucester

Ordered delivery on Saturday night. Came in good time. Person on phone was very helpful and recommended Mango Keshar which was one of the tastiest curry’s I’ve had. Everything else was fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend.

Such a disappointment !!! Food was disappointing ! Didn’t expect that kind of food from the Nepalese cheif😞! We ordered chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala but both of them tasted so bad!

Visited Nepalese Chef with my partner this evening and we couldn’t be any happier with our experience. We have ordered a takeaway from Nepalese Chef before, but we decided tonight that we would have a change and dine in. It was hands down the best customer service that we have ever received. The staff are nothing but warm, kind and extremely attentive. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. The food was amazing and the portions are extremely generous. We had to take half of our food home because we got so full. The pricing is extremely fair, I was shocked with how low the price was when I got the bill. We will 100% be back. Definitely one of, if not the best, dining experiences that we’ve had. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

The mushroom pilau rice was dry with very little mushroom otherwise fabulous

I have been here recently with my children. The staff members are friendly and the food is average. However, they were not good with kids whenever our two year old walked around we were told to keep him sat on the chair. In scale of 1-10 I give the Biryani 5 which what people always like in south Asian food. The food portions are tiny. In terms of the price they are costly compared to other Indian restaurants in the area.

The food arrived ahead of schedule, piping hot and incredibly fresh. Each dish was packed with authentic flavours that transported me straight to Nepal. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The onion bhajis were crispy and full of flavour, and the chicken jalfrezi was vibrant, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. Clearly, the chef takes great pride in their work; it truly made for a memorable meal. I can’t wait to order again.

Food still hasn't arrived even though it says delivered and they won't respond to just eat texts and won't answer the phone!!!

Food has not be delivered yet, restraunt said it would be 15 mins but that was over an hour ago

Unfortunately not a great experience, the food was okay. I would of liked it if it wasn't rushed and waiters wasn't rushing to clear table and wipe table. Attitude of the staff members could of been alot better. Wasn't engaging to us customers. Wasn't relaxed.

Food was cold on delivery, onion bharjis were rubbery and pakoras were cold and soggy. Really disappointed as usually really good food but very disappointed with food today - ended up throwing most of it away.

An excellent dinner with my friend James whilst on business in Gloucester. The restaurant was well worth the walk from the centre of town. The menu offered a good range of dishes and the food was very good with Gurkha Lager as the accompaniment. The staff were very friendly and attentive, with first class service. For the quality of food the pricing was very reasonable indeed. Well worth a visit.

Terrible, completely unprofessional service, don't recommend. Received a call back attempting to intimidate me, saying they have all my details and recorded the call. Edit* Claiming that i'm trying to sell a product is bizarre. I'm 17 looking for a part time job and this is how you decide to advertise your business, by lying? Arrived quickly and very good food as always

Delivered early by a very polite driver. Mistake with my order as I had ordered a Chicken Jomsom but received a Lamb Jomsom instead, no complaints though as it was delicious. (Chef obviously knew what was best 🫡). Everything arrived piping hot. Would highly recommend this establishment.

We visited Nepalese Chef for dinner this evening and it was a wonderful experience! The servers were so friendly and attentive. The food was as incredible. We started with the popadoms which were authentic and delicious. For our mains we had the Cchate Milan and Mango Keshari with garlic fried rice, chips and peshwari naan. Both curries were cooked to perfection and it was definitely the best peshwari naan I had ever tried! We are both vegetarians and were delighted to see that most curries were able to be made vegan! This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends and family! Brilliant service and great prices too.

Beautiful food and fresh but late delivery

I ordered my meal for my mum's birthday to come at 6.15, it arrived by 6.50, the nan bread was cold as was the rice

I had a home delivery for my mum's birthday, i put a delivery time of 18.15 it arrived 35 minutes late, the nan bread was cold as was the rice. However the chicken tikka was lovely and the chips were. My son's rates this restaurant/takeaway, but I don't, sorry

I highly recommend Daal Makhani and Garlic Naan/ Butter naan in this restaurant, totally Indian style and it is something you can drool over.Moreover, Mr Sharma who owns this restaurant, had been very kind and polite and guided us so well to choose options in the menu. He had shown great hospitality to us. All his staff is also lovely.Highly recommend this restaurant. I am eagerly waiting for this restaurant to open up in Cheltenham.❤️

Good Hospitality and Delicious food

Got takeaway from here before. Got a parking fine for being in the car park for 4 1/2 minutes. Over £160! Food wasn’t that good either.

We had a wonderful three course meal with our Vegan son and daughter in law. All the food was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent. We couldn’t have wished for a friendlier or better occasion. The staff catered to our every need and nothing was too much for them. Very good value for money and no pressure to leave. A very enjoyable experience all round. Thank you very much.

What a lovely place & the food was fantastic! So tasty & the lamb was really tender! The individual flavours & tastes all can through making our curries the best we’ve had in a long time.

Arrived about 30 mins before they said it would (on a Friday!). The driver was very friendly. I've tried many Indian takeaways in Gloucester and have always been disappointed until now, this truly is the best Indian takeaway in Gloucester. Came as a group for a friends birthday. Wasn’t a busy evening and we still sat and waited an hour for our food … we were then told to go to the bar and order. Half way through people ordering and paying separately, they then said that we should’ve ordered as a group and paid after. 11 people in our group got their food and almost finished before the rest of the group got anything. Food wasn’t even worth the wait. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Not once asked if we were ok or if we needed anything. Unsure if it’s just us as a group but the women weren’t given plates first, they were just dumped on the table. Safe to say, we will not be returning.

We were in Gloucester overnight. Just wanted a quick something before relaxing at the Longford Premier inn. We hadn’t booked so were not expecting to be accommodated. We received a warm welcome. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic. Portions were a good size. Best bhajis either of us had ever had. Two different curries, both lovely. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Apart from the biryani food was pretty flavour less, didn't seem fresh. Everything seemed too average, standards seem to have declined since couple of years ago.

Amazing food as always but only got yoghurt dip instead of the chutney tray, missing the mango chutney and the pickle.

I am very disappointed with our home delivery meal today. The chicken was awful dry it didn’t taste fresh. I tasted like it had been warmed up in a microwave. also it was on the bone l couldn’t eat the leg. This was and expensive meal that went in the bin. The nan was cold. We always usually have a lovely meal from you unfortunately we won’t be using your restaurant anymore

Very watery and flavourless curry. My wife’s tasted like cheap cheese and was inedible. Don’t waste your money.

Gorgeous authentic food. Came across this little gem randomly on a visit Sherbourne Cinema nearby. Just such lovely food. Staff not that smiley but very attentive. Recommend the vegetarian side dishes and lemon rice.

One of the worst experienced I have ever had in this restaurant. Food is just a edible and service is terrible. It’s not a Nepalese restaurant it’s 100% Bangali food and very expensive.

People often have trouble finding our property but they arrived early and called on arrival. The food was all great quality and they had some great Nepalese dishes that were a real standout. Will definitely be ordering again!

The chicken in the Dall Rimjhim was dry and the dish really quite bland. The prawns in the Garlic Jhinga were over cooked and sparse considering the price. Also lacking taste! The Baigan Bhaji was bland and the aubergines needed to be cooked for longer!! This was a very disappointing meal.

Dal Rimjhim Lamb my best order yet from Nepalese Chef who always deliver. Depth of flavour and good spice levels, Khahare Kebab was also spot on. Recommend this place every time, always a good ruby, authentic and probably the best in Gloucester cheers NC 👏👏

We always get our takeaway quickly and fresh. The food has always been good, I think there was one time we thought it wasn't up to the usual excellence, out of easily 20 orders over the years.

Excellent food and service. Freshness can be felt through their food and authentic Indian taste. We tried Vegetarian Manchurian for starters which was top notch. For mains do try Paneer butter masala and Rajma. I will recommend it highly.

Eaten in the restaurant before and the food was really good, however this take away wasn't very nice (the tikka masala sauce tasted like tomato soup) and the papadoms we ordered were missing from the delivery and had to be refunded

Have dined here a few times and would honestly say it’s one of the best places to eat in Gloucester. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely and friendly. The feel is relaxed and we always enjoy our visit. Thank you for the wonderful food
