Ridiculous, called asking to speak to someone about a service and they mumbled a few words and when i asked if they could say it again they hung up. Called again and still no response, instantly hanging up

Arrived quickly and very good food as always

Delivered early by a very polite driver. Mistake with my order as I had ordered a Chicken Jomsom but received a Lamb Jomsom instead, no complaints though as it was delicious. (Chef obviously knew what was best 🫡). Everything arrived piping hot. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Beautiful food and fresh but late delivery

We visited Nepalese Chef for dinner this evening and it was a wonderful experience! The servers were so friendly and attentive. The food was as incredible. We started with the popadoms which were authentic and delicious. For our mains we had the Cchate Milan and Mango Keshari with garlic fried rice, chips and peshwari naan. Both curries were cooked to perfection and it was definitely the best peshwari naan I had ever tried! We are both vegetarians and were delighted to see that most curries were able to be made vegan! This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends and family! Brilliant service and great prices too.

Poor food, small portions of watery and sugary food. Spinach was very tough and stringy. Very disappointed

I ordered my meal for my mum's birthday to come at 6.15, it arrived by 6.50, the nan bread was cold as was the rice

I had a home delivery for my mum's birthday, i put a delivery time of 18.15 it arrived 35 minutes late, the nan bread was cold as was the rice. However the chicken tikka was lovely and the chips were. My son's rates this restaurant/takeaway, but I don't, sorry

Amazing food! I highly recommend Daal Makhani and Garlic Naan/ Butter naan in this restaurant, totally Indian style and it is something you can drool over.Moreover, Mr Sharma who owns this restaurant, had been very kind and polite and guided us so well to choose options in the menu. He had shown great hospitality to us. All his staff is also lovely.Highly recommend this restaurant. I am eagerly waiting for this restaurant to open up in Cheltenham.❤️

Good Hospitality and Delicious food

Got takeaway from here before. Got a parking fine for being in the car park for 4 1/2 minutes. Over £160! Food wasn’t that good either.

We had a wonderful three course meal with our Vegan son and daughter in law. All the food was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent. We couldn’t have wished for a friendlier or better occasion. The staff catered to our every need and nothing was too much for them. Very good value for money and no pressure to leave. A very enjoyable experience all round. Thank you very much.

Have a wide variety of dishes in the menu. Very nice and delicious food. Everything we ordered was very delicious. Daal makani was really delicious.

What a lovely place & the food was fantastic! So tasty & the lamb was really tender! The individual flavours & tastes all can through making our curries the best we’ve had in a long time.

Arrived about 30 mins before they said it would (on a Friday!). The driver was very friendly. I've tried many Indian takeaways in Gloucester and have always been disappointed until now, this truly is the best Indian takeaway in Gloucester. Came as a group for a friends birthday. Wasn’t a busy evening and we still sat and waited an hour for our food … we were then told to go to the bar and order. Half way through people ordering and paying separately, they then said that we should’ve ordered as a group and paid after. 11 people in our group got their food and almost finished before the rest of the group got anything. Food wasn’t even worth the wait. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Not once asked if we were ok or if we needed anything. Unsure if it’s just us as a group but the women weren’t given plates first, they were just dumped on the table. Safe to say, we will not be returning.

We were in Gloucester overnight. Just wanted a quick something before relaxing at the Longford Premier inn. We hadn’t booked so were not expecting to be accommodated. We received a warm welcome. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Food was fantastic. Portions were a good size. Best bhajis either of us had ever had. Two different curries, both lovely. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Apart from the biryani food was pretty flavour less, didn't seem fresh. Everything seemed too average, standards seem to have declined since couple of years ago.

Amazing food as always but only got yoghurt dip instead of the chutney tray, missing the mango chutney and the pickle.

I am very disappointed with our home delivery meal today. The chicken was awful dry it didn’t taste fresh. I tasted like it had been warmed up in a microwave. also it was on the bone l couldn’t eat the leg. This was and expensive meal that went in the bin. The nan was cold. We always usually have a lovely meal from you unfortunately we won’t be using your restaurant anymore

Very watery and flavourless curry. My wife’s tasted like cheap cheese and was inedible. Don’t waste your money.

The food was 5 stars, and the service was good but busy, and too many delivery drivers jumping the que but got my takeaway and was really pleased with it.

Gorgeous authentic food. Came across this little gem randomly on a visit Sherbourne Cinema nearby. Just such lovely food. Staff not that smiley but very attentive. Recommend the vegetarian side dishes and lemon rice.

First time eating at Nepalese Chef and certainly won't be the last! Food was delicious, service was friendly and very relaxing atmosphere which made the whole meal a very enjoyable experience.

People often have trouble finding our property but they arrived early and called on arrival. The food was all great quality and they had some great Nepalese dishes that were a real standout. Will definitely be ordering again!

I want a full refund as was cold and went in the bin

The chicken in the Dall Rimjhim was dry and the dish really quite bland. The prawns in the Garlic Jhinga were over cooked and sparse considering the price. Also lacking taste! The Baigan Bhaji was bland and the aubergines needed to be cooked for longer!! This was a very disappointing meal.

Dal Rimjhim Lamb my best order yet from Nepalese Chef who always deliver. Depth of flavour and good spice levels, Khahare Kebab was also spot on. Recommend this place every time, always a good ruby, authentic and probably the best in Gloucester cheers NC 👏👏

We always get our takeaway quickly and fresh. The food has always been good, I think there was one time we thought it wasn't up to the usual excellence, out of easily 20 orders over the years.

Excellent food and service. Freshness can be felt through their food and authentic Indian taste. We tried Vegetarian Manchurian for starters which was top notch. For mains do try Paneer butter masala and Rajma. I will recommend it highly.

Eaten in the restaurant before and the food was really good, however this take away wasn't very nice (the tikka masala sauce tasted like tomato soup) and the papadoms we ordered were missing from the delivery and had to be refunded

Have dined here a few times and would honestly say it’s one of the best places to eat in Gloucester. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely and friendly. The feel is relaxed and we always enjoy our visit. Thank you for the wonderful food

First time ordering here after over a year as the last experience was terrible, but I couldn't ignore the constant good reviews this place is getting any longer so I thought I'd give it another go. Service and delivery was OK, which was the issue last time so I'm happy about that, but the food was very mixed - madras was quite diluted/wet and didn't have much texture and chicken pakoras were small and the batter was sloppy. Keema Rice and Naan were great though. Just not for me unfortunately.

This is 2nd time. I order full butter paneer but when I open box it’s half it’s not worth quality 3out of 5 but quantity 2 out of 5 . Please if customer pay full for order give them full not half.

Waited for nearly two hours only to be told by the rude staff on the phone that my order had been thrown in the bin. Our go to Indian in Gloucester. Excellent food, excellent service, spotlessly clean. We visit at least twice a month and it’s always brilliant. The man breads are the best I’ve eaten.

Not up to the usual 5 star standard of food, from my usual go to restaurant for curry. Both meals we ate were very bland. The chicken tikka masala sauce tasted like tomato soup and the birat murgi was bland.

We ordered chicken tikka masala’s but they tasted nothing like chicken tikka masala. They were sour & didn’t have the usual tikka masala spices. The chicken was inedible - chewy & hard. I will be contacting the restaurant today.

Don’t park in the car park even if you are eating. The restaurant uses Civil Enforcement to manage parking. (This is a terrible company - Trustpilot rating 99% negative.) Service was poor - I was delayed by work and arrived 6 minutes later than our booked time. The restaurant had called us and asked us to come earlier than our booking, direct from a rugby match. I prefer to eat when I want to eat not when the restaurant wants me to eat. The waiters hassled the members of our party who had arrived early to order and wanted to take the poppadoms away before I arrived, despite the restaurant being half empty at 5.50 pm. I did not see any parking signs in the dark and was rushed looking at the menu Food was fair. When we wanted to leave we could not get anyone to take our money for about 20 minutes. Manager was rude and very unhelpful about the £100 parking fine. (no doubt he will try to defend his use of a cowboy parking enforcement agency)

Top food has became a regular for us

Well being a vegetarian there were a lot of options to try ! The chef called and asked whether we are looking for Indian taste and that was perfect. The quality and taste of the food was awesome. Really liked their garlic and cheese naan . The daal makhani was perfect , blend of spices everything . Would definitely order again . If you are looking for something that can comfort your body and soul this is the perfect place .

Tasty food, second time ordering and twice now the main veggie dish was missing off order. Called them and they sent it out straight away. Sadly it was a chicken main dish not the veggie required, very unhappy wife. Better service when dining in.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service enabled us to enjoy an authentic Nepalese meal. The side dishes were perfect for affording a variety of flavours for a vegetarian although main veggie meals were also available. The non- veggie showed no restraint with my side dishes whilst savouring the Royal Tawa. A perfectly cooked garlic and chilli naan complemented the variety of textures and flavours of our chosen dishes perfectly. Nothing more to say except we'll be back!

Two of us dined here on a busy Friday night. The service and the food was excellent despite them having a few big tables. We'll definitely go back again.

Had a couple of meals recently via takeaway, the Mo mo is soooo good, but the 2 separate lamb dishes I have said medium but were so hot I couldn't enjoy the rest as my mouth was on fire, if you are not a spice person, don't go for any of the lamb dishes

What rubbish swill ! Last time was average at best . This time dreadful. My local curry house has gone downhill massively. Nepalese Chef You’ve lost a customer tonight. I won’t be coming back ever . Both our meals were rubbish, bland , warmed up Swill . I love having a curry , I really do . I don’t put much on this site to whinge . Last nights Takeaway . Dreadful!
