What an amazing experience. Lovely place, unreal food and just such a nice vibe, we had Marian and Giuseppe serving us and they were so kind and helpful. I’ll definitely be returning in the near future.

Great restaurant for a group meal.

David and I were recently in Bournemouth and chanced upon Neo’s restaurant. It was a brilliant experience. Wonderful setting, wonderful service, wonderful food We absolutely loved it there. We were eating at lunchtime. We always spent three hours there. We were not rushed. It was just gorgeous. I wondered nibbles as a starter and a starter as a main and it did not bother them at all. Facilities super clean. They called taxis for us. But throughout each meal they were so attentive and helpful without being intrusive. One of the very best places I have eaten in the whole world. Thank you Neo. One waiter was Levente. The other lovely man I don’t know his name, but he came from the Netherlands. I would recommend this restaurant absolutely. No one could be disappointed. Absolutely First Class

Yesterday evening we visited Neo, on our date night, it definitely suits that kind of evening. The decoration of Neo feels like you are in a high quality London restaurant. The starter was a little bit of a let down, however our mains were great, I had the chicken supreme, which was supremely tasty. My date had the duck, which she loved. Our waiter Levente, made our experience a lot nicer, even if some of the food wasn't the best. We had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, which was small but tasty. Overall, I definitely think it's worth going, but maybe don't order the cheese Soufflé.

We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at NEO restaurant in Bournemouth. had an outstanding experience. We were impressed by the elegant ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. Our evening was made even more special thanks to Carla and the team there. The food was exquisite, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the night was the dessert, with a special birthday touch for my husband. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend NEO to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Booked a table for two to celebrate a new job for my girlfriend. The starters are very limited with every single one being seafood. The steak was cooked medium rare when we asked for medium-well done. The prices were really high for what you get, probably why it was half empty on a saturday night. The staff were very friendly and nice which was the main up side and they gave us a free desert because of the wrongly cooked main. If you are paying such high prices I would really expect more.

The restaurant was very elegant. The food was delicious and looked fantastic. The chicken was juicy, and combined with the other sides, it provided a truly great taste experience. The salad with dip was light and wow in terms of flavor. Despite the slightly poorer quality, my husband enjoyed the steak, especially since he's a steak connoisseur, especially WAGYU. Overall, we recommend this place; it's worth the money. You'll eat tastily and deliciously. Keep it up! 👌✨"

I came in at lunch time for a starter and a cocktail. The beef carpaccio was amazing and presented beautifully. The bartender Taryn made me a chocolate rum old fashioned which was expertly crafted, she helped me pick the right drink for my taste. Thank you so much, I will be back again soon

I recently attended the Crooner Legends evening at Neo with my mother. It was an outstanding live performance accompanied by delightful food and cocktails. We recently had our annual awards dinner here, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff, food, and atmosphere were all truly amazing. The planning process was incredibly smooth, thanks to the attentive management who went above and beyond to ensure our night was nothing short of spectacular. They created a bespoke menu for us, which was a delightful experience, and the service on the night was impeccable. Overall, it was an unforgettable evening, and we couldn't have asked for more. I was in this restaurant for a dinner out with my wife, the building is massive and has a beautiful decore, the front glass window is stunning with a great view over the Bournemouth Pier, I had the Linguine and my wife the Cod. Both dishes were delicious and cooked perfectly. Also the service is attentive and friendly, our glasses were never empty. If you want a great dining experience and you are in Bournemouth, I truly recommend this restaurant

Lovely location and good service. But the Chateaubriand that we ordered to be cooked medium, was served raw (I don't mean rare, I mean uncooked). It was served at the table and the waiter, serving with his back to us, stacked 3 slices on each plate The meat looked ok as we could see the ends of the joint, not the middle of the thicker slices. We both wondered why the meat was becoming springier in the mouth as we progressed (having put peppercorn sauce on the slices). Sensation was like eating a mouthful of connective tissue and fat. Then the penny dropped, no blood but the centres of the thicker slices were raw. So only about 1cm in was cooked on the circumference. So now we know why the place only has a 3* food hygiene rating! Apart from that, the mushrooms were the tiniest I have ever seen. Chips were nice. So £76 + £3 sauces for a dish half cooked. We mentioned this to the waiter and he offered a couple of replacement slices of meat (at the end of the meal and presumably with a substantial wait). We declined. But they still had the audacity to add a 10% service charge (fat chance!). You have been warned!!!!

Disgusting customer service, went in at 2pm for cocktails and was told it's closed for a private function, I asked what time it started and was.told 6pm and the refused to serve us, absolutely disgusting

No dogs allowed. They refuse even have a dog friendly section. They give a spurious reason about preparing food which is quite ridiculous given the sheer amount of restaurants and pubs Cafes that allow dogs. I have been in top end restaurants with my dogs and not had a problem so it’s time this place got into the modern world. Sadly, it seems representative of Bournemouth where a number of establishments do not allow well-behaved dogs. avoid if you are a dog Owner.

Lovely starter and cocktails - would recommend the lychee one. Scallop and saffron arancini was delicious and perfectly cooked. Main course of a half lobster was very disappointing - Very tough and dry. Shame that the service was busy and didn’t check during our mains quick enough for me to tell them. I ended up having to call them over. Waved 10% but still not enough considering we essentially paid £44 less £16 for a bowl of fries! Lovely view and nice setting

I had a fantastic experience here - we sat in a fancy booth and were well looked after as we enjoyed our food. After the meal we moved down to the bar where Cameron served us luxury smoke-infused cocktails until closing time. Would highly recommend.

While the vegetarian options were limited, it's understandable given the restaurant's focus on delivering exquisite seafood dishes. This minor drawback doesn't detract from the overall excellence of the restaurant. Their mastery in seafood cuisine is evident, making it unreasonable to expect an extensive vegetarian menu. I'm utterly captivated by the culinary journey this restaurant offers. It's now an essential visit on our trips to Bournemouth, promising a dining experience that's both memorable and delightful.

I visited the establishment 19:00 7th March 2024. I was met by a young waiter who kept calling me “mate”. He said that the restaurant was very busy and that I would have to wait 15 minutes for a table. It was only 5 minutes later a family of 5 then entered. I overheard they hadn’t booked either - but they were seated upstairs straight away. After a long wait I was seated, I noticed half the restaurant upstairs was actually empty. I had my meal, and over the course of 1hr and 15 mins - none of those empty tables were filled. It seemed very rude to not have me seated straight away. Scallops were also slightly overcooked. Food was otherwise okay at best. Table was wobbly as well, I had to fix it to stop my food from spilling. There is promise for a good rating in the future, but the restaurant needs to fine tune its service.

Went for Sunday lunch n place was deserted. Roast beef & chicken were OK not great. Starters were very ok too. Drinks were good. Service was pretty good. Does have a good location & view but all in all very forgettable experience

Neo one of our favourite restaurants and we should have known better than to go on valentines night. Service was very good, what you expect at Neo but the food struggled. Starters were lacking in content , flavour and presentation. Beef Main was cold and cod over salted. Dessert was amazing until you got to a pastry base that was either too thick or left in fridge to long before service.

Lovely ambiance, very exciting menu but food very disappointed. I wanted to take my son out for a special meal, we tried the Crab restaurant a few months which is next door to Neo. We ordered 3 starters 1. crab and crayfish 2. scallops 3. prawn tempura. The crab and crayfish is absolutely gorgeous. The scallops, 3 of the smallest scallops I have ever seen, more like a taster. The prawn tempura was terrible. Tempura prawns are normally 3 to 4 inches long in light batter. These were 1 to 2 inches long, in heavy batter, just like fish and chips batter. We then had 2 main courses. 1. lobster 2. surf / turf. The lobster was small but even worse, over cooked, chewy!! The steak was ordered medium rare, it was over cooked, somewhere between middle and over done. Wine is nice and sensibly priced. Very disappointing to spend over £200 for 2 people and only get 1 dish out of 5 that was worth it. If you want seafood, I suggest you go next door to the Crab!!

We had a set Christmas menu meal and my meal disappointing. Starter was ok, but my Risotto was overcooked and plain. No taste of lemon, nor rosemary. Just cooked rice with vegetables, not a risotto. Atmosphere is nice over there and staff were great.

Went here for Sunday lunch and although the food was good, I've had better roast dinners at pubs. The staff were polite and efficient but it felt like they were going through the motions, and the atmosphere was a bit joyless.

We ordered a wide range of foods from steaks, surf and turf, rissoto and cocktails. Overall the food was a promised. But lacked the cooking quality for its price. £45 for surf and turf etc. The cocktails at £15 is a little high. Although quality of presentation across was high. It was finish of steaks that just missed. More of a tourist trap than potential regular spot. Views are good. No parking. Service was solid

Everything was fab, I absolutely recommend. We used their private space for a corporate dinner and after hosting this same dinner across different venues and cities, this one was the best.

The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great, the customer service was good. I felt that we were a bit limited in options for starters and didn’t really enjoy the tempura prawns style starter it was overly coated and crunchy. The wait between the starters and mains was an hour. When the mains came they were lovely. Dessert was rich and nice. The cocktails were very nice too. Overall good experience but could be improved.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal here today. Went for the Sunday prixe fixe menu, 2 courses for £22 which was an absolute bargain for the amount and quality of the food. The waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere was sophisticated and relaxing. Had the terrine to start and the roast striploin of beef as the main and both were sublime. I had mentioned it my reservation that it is my partner's birthday today and he was given a card and wished a Happy Birthday by our waiter which was a really nice touch. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Bournemouth.

We dined for a family members belated birthday. The food was nice but the temperature was luke warm. The service was fantastic. The gentleman looking after our table was polite and friendly. When the staff brought our food out, they were very attentive and polite. The atmosphere was very nice. The only thing I could fault was the volume of the music. Sadly, we struggled to have a conversation with anyone other than the person who we sat next to due to this. As a whole, I would dine here again.

We had a lovely celebratory meal at Neo, great building and location. Staff were very attentive and helpful. I had tempura tiger prawns, really looking forward to the light crispy, barely there batter. Whilst the prawns inside were delicious, the batter was thick and hard, not at all what I was hoping for. However, the rare chateaubriand I shared with my husband was melt in the mouth and beautifully dressed salad and fantastic chips too. Desserts also good, best sticky toffee pud ever and fig pannacotta was delicious but home made cookie to go with it was a little disappointing, not much flavour and didn't seem that home made. Cocktails and wine were excellent and although it was very quiet in the restaurant, we had a lovely time with our friends.

Amazing food and amazing service could not ask more, could not recommend this restaurant enough. My nephew recently had his graduation and mentioned it on the off chance. Following that they gave him a cake free of charge. Shout out to Carla and Ducepi their service was out of this world!!!!!

I took my family to Neo for a birthday celebration and was so disappointed with the drinks service. We ordered a round of drinks as our main course arrived and it had been eaten with a further 10 minutes pass and still no drinks. We ordered 2 cocktails and 3 beers. My granddaughter asked a waiter where drinks were at this point and he said ‘they are making them and it takes a little longer as there are cocktails’ I then spoke to another waiter and asked if we could at least have the beers. No apology for wait he just left. He went downstairs to bar and one of my party heard him say customers were not happy with wait. The woman behind the bar responded with “we aren’t a pub’. The attitude of all staff we approached about this was unhelpful and completely lacked one single apology or anyone coming and explaining that drinks were delayed. In fact twice they came and asked if we wanted to order drinks and we explained we were still waiting. This really didn’t help. It’s a shame the staff at the restaurant lack the customer skills the the man I made telephone booking with as he was so helpful and the main reason I booked So disappointing we will just return or recommend to anyone else we know

Just been here for an afternoon tea with my daughter as an early birthday treat from her. The service was brilliant, very attentive but not over the top. The afternoon tea consisted of sandwiches, cream scone and beautiful cakes / petit fours. Everything tasted amazing. We had flavoured teas from a varied selection.We ordered a bottle of prosecco too and the waiter topped up our glasses as soon as they were empty. The ambience was so chilled, beautiful music playing. Would definitely recommend the place. Well be returning for meals and more afternoon teas. Thankyou all at Neo x

What can I say...from start to finish an outstanding service from a top team. Warmly welcomed today for a small family gathering. I know this was put together quite quickly, but the food was outstanding, wine and drinks amazing. Food was incredible. The service was subtle yet attentive, and I will definitely be back and will recommend Neo to everyone. I'm actually still blown away by how good this was. Thank you for making a special day memorable.

This used to be our fav lil date spot for special occasions, sadly our last visit was so bad I doubt we'll go back 😪. They brought me the wrong starter for my meal, I then had to wait 20mins for the one I ordered, partner had already finished their starter and had it cleaned away before mine even arrived. When my starter did finally arrive it wasn't what it said on the menu, it was missing the pistachio and biscuit crumbs, it was meant to be roasted beetroot but looked more like the bits you get in vacuum sealed bags from asda, the parmasan crisps were very stale and had no "crisp" to them. Then our mains arrived, partners was piping hot and mine was stone cold...called the waiter over, they took my plate back and just reheated it, everything was dry and inedible after that. Very disappointed, as I said, this used to be our fav lil treat spot, doubt we will go again, specially for the price, you would expect premium food and service but all of that was sadly lacking

I went in, I was seated quite quickly, I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come over and take my drinks order at this point they had 3 tables. I then ordered bread came out great asked how I wanted my beef I said medium. The beef came was dry over cooked he took it back then told me it was out of stock. I then ordered chicken 25 minutes later the food never came so I went and paid for what I had and walked out. From what I've seen it's awful service was looking forward to this all day such a let down 😞

Booked a special family event, alway difficult to gauge how it’s going to pan out. I should not have worried NEO were perfect from the time arrived. Extremely disappointing - avoid! Bread and olives to begin, bread was great but we were only given 4 pieces for a party of 5. Had to prompt the waiter to bring more which he then subsequently forgot so had to be reminded a second time. Souffle starter tasted like microwave scrambled egg with cheese on top. Main course was an overcooked, dry, fillet steak that should've been medium rare but arrived well done. I sent the steak back but the replacement didn't arrive for a further 25 minutes after my guests had finished their meals and was still overcooked, dry and tasteless with the mushrooms that I'd previously requested to be removed, so had to go back to the kitchen again, albeit very briefly this time. My colleague was also given pepper sauce instead of mushroom sauce. I suspect the replacement was a microwave sauce as it came out immediately. Steak was discounted on the final bill by £15 but they still had the audacity to add a £33 service charge which I challenged but still paid to avoid any further embarrassment. In summary, Food was poor and overpriced, service left a lot to be desired and the entire experience was a complete & total disappointment. Upon leaving, a chap from another table approached me and mentioned that he'd had a very similar experience and was equally as disappointed as I was and was only offered a free dessert as a complimentary gesture. I've had better food and service in a Beefeater! Style over substance...

Nice place. The butterfly martini was so good i had two. Food took a very long time, but the staff did apologise for this. Rest of my tables food was enjoyed but my crab linguine was luke warm, dry and boring. I'm not a fussy eater and understand that with any seafood dish there may be a small bit of missed shell or something but after two lots of hard crunches and having to remove a large piece of shell from my mouth I was put off eating any more and left most of my meal uneaten. For the price I would expect better

Been wanting to go to this iconic Bournemouth restaurant in a while and glad I finally did. The Chateaubriand has redefined what a “melt in the mouth” steak is. Fantastic views and very attentive staff on hand to fill up your glass or get you anything you might need. Cracking food and good wine list with some spotlighted specials. Will be back for sure. Won’t leave it as long next time.

I got terrible food poisoning from their fish and then when informing them a day later the manager was super rude. Never would I go here again. Steer clear of this restaurant for your health.

Neo hosted our Team building day - team meeting with full English, hot drinks, toast and juice in a private room this morning; then a gorgeous evening meal for 21 people this evening. Great food, superb service, perfect venue and location. Would highly recommend. They were extremely accommodating and communication was excellent throughout. A huge thank you to all the staff today everyone loved it!

A treat whilst on holiday. Food was amazing. We had the scallops and cheese souffle for starters, surf and turf for main and shared a sticky toffee pudding for dessert 🥰. Cocktails were really good. Very friendly staff and lovely ambience with live background music/ singer (didn't catch her name). Highly recommend this place.

Excellent service and atmosphere with live music from the delightful Susie Kimber. Impressed they allowed us to move nearer to see and hear the performance better. Great presentation of the meals however the seabass was slightly over cooked and the chocolate cherry mousse cake for dessert desperately needed cream or ice cream as very rich and overpowering without it and couldn't taste the bailey's gel at all. We had to ask for sugar for the coffee twice which we had to wait for. Also had to pay a deposit of £30 at time of booking but when receiving the bill this had not been taken into consideration and had to ask the waiter to correct it, and we could of been overcharged if we didn't check the bill properly.

Went yesterday for Sunday lunch. Pretty empty . The roast beef was like old leather.The staff we could only describe as aloof and their own arses.We had to ask for condiments. Nobody once came over to ask how things were and if we needed anything.3 times we shouted at 3 team members for the bill they were busy having a chat. A man came over with the bill.Didnt say anything .Not even,did you enjoy your meal .nothing. Would we go back. Absolutely not!

Very disappointed. We arrived and one member of our party wasn’t able to make it (we told them in the afternoon this would be the case) and my partner went to sit next to me to which the waitress pulled the chair away even though there was one the other side of the table and said sorry we need this for another table. We then had the rudest waiter I’ve ever come across - we ordered multiple cocktails for the table and he went away with the order - 5 minutes later he came back and literally said you are aware these aren’t in any special offer! We were literally gobsmacked. The cocktails (hence the 2) were lovely, the food is completely average whilst the linguine was cold - and the service… well if there ever was an ironic upper class attitude to waiting - you’ll find it here. Prior to our meal we ordered bread and olives - which arrived with the meal although we asked for it as a starter. Throughout our meals we were not asked once if everything was ok nor offered any sauces or pepper ect, Would absolutely avoid. Completely overrated with the rudest staff I’ve genuinely ever had the pleasure of being served by.

An incredible location with great service let down by overpriced food created by a lacklustre chef. First, the Good! The location next to the seafront is wonderful. The glass front with a near 360 degree view is awesome and the bar staff were next level helpful and friendly. And the cocktails are worth mentioning. The Bad! After an awesome evening of cocktails we decided to pop back the next day for dinner only to be super unimpressed. Unlike the friendly and knowledgeable bar staff the waiter that greeted us in the dining room was poe faced and when questioned on whether the fish was fresh or frozen couldn’t give us a straight answer. Being a hundred metres from the sea we were shocked/gnarled out/unimpressed (hey, take your pick) to find that they were offering frozen fish from the Bering Strait and the Mediterranean at £35 a pop instead of local fresh fish. Sidestepping the fish I ordered the lamb which was tough and the dish had all the flavour and passion of a secondary school meal. All in the bill for my wife and I tallied up to £135 for bland food of blandy-blandness. Conclusion! Ayyyy! Great location but serves rubbery food made by a hobgoblin of a cook masquerading as a chef. PS what was with the mushy olives? Cheap olives marinated in dry herbs then marketed as the ‘chef’s own’ then sold at £6.

We were made to feel very unwelcome by our main waiter. He didn’t fail to show his disapproval when we Didn’t feel the need to spend lots of money on overpriced cocktails. They continued to replace the cocktail/alcoholic menu multiple times during our visit after repeatedly saying we weren’t interested. We both ordered surf and turf. Which he showed his disappointment at. It was £47 now had the steak been cooked medium rare instead of well done, this would of been a nice meal. But it was well done, chewy and hard to swallow. The mushroom sauce was also very disappointing. Overall the best thing about this place was the view. However you can only get this at a select group of tables. Our experience was very underwhelming and disappointing. You can find a meal just as nice with much better service somewhere else not far away. It was a waste of £140 that we could of used somewhere better.

They take non refundable deposits even though I cancelled a table with more than one weeks notice. It was Valentines day and so they would not have had a problem filling it. Just money grabbers. Disgusting really. Following NEO response...how can my review not be a true reflection? Anyone can see the facts. Truth is they have no answer. Utter rubbish from this place.

the most disgusting place I've ever been, now I understand why you don't have customers. Expensive, service is terrible and slow. For this price you can get much better food. you should change your staff and revise the menu

Pleasantly situated but pretentious, and expensive, venue for people with more money than taste who need to be seen in the latest glass and chrome "cocktail" joint. The menu includes Linguine of Devon "King Crab", when there are no such crab in Devon (they actually serve Spider Crab), and fillet of Mediterranean Sea Bass when some of the best, and freshest, Bass come from the adjacent Dorset coastline. Given that an 8oz steak is listed at £35, a Surf and Turf is £47, and a simple Risotto £22, you may decide to go home hungry. Service was ok but a bit slow and nothing special.
