Booked in advance for my daughters birthday. Cosy inside with divers theme running throughout. Service was good & food arrived very quickly! But food was nothing special at all. Didn’t seem to be much food prep in the kitchen. Most of everything looked pre bought in. Small choice on menu also. I thought it was odd how they make you pay up front for the total bill in advance. I felt food was not cheep either for what we had. You could eat out a lot better for around the same price. I won’t be returning.

had a beer anticipating eating lunch there....the beer was awful, hence no intention of spending money there for more disappointment

Visited today view is ok.Bar and eating area tired and not that clean waitress not in a hurry to clean tables and staff not wearing masks lack of hand sanitizer.Food - veggie burger dry tasted worse than the frozen ones from Tesco, bun was stale, salad wouldn’t have fed it to a rabbit, the red onion chutney was the worst I have ever had just large chunks of red onion not chutney at all. The chips were cold. No check back by staff to ask if the food ok. Most of my meal was left on my plate and staff seemed to be avoiding collecting our pots. We just left.Ok for a drink but don’t eat there. Must add that we both had an upset tummy later that afternoon.

Eaten here a few times and it’s always been standard pub grub, nothing special which is fine. Went yesterday, ordered lasagne with garlic bread and was so unimpressed. The lasagne was so dry, tasteless and inedible. The lasagne sheets were like plastic, the beef was dry and tasteless - no herby tomato sauce or cheese sauce whatsoever. The garlic bread could’ve been so much better, seemed soggy and uncooked like it had been microwaved. The salad and chips were alright. The server there was really polite and suggested we fed our leftovers to the ducks. Overpriced, wouldn’t go again unless they changed the chef & menu.

Visited here for a swim in Stoney Cove followed by lunch.The government website clearly states that they are participating in the Eat out to Help out scheme.However when we came to pay there was no discount and they said that they aren’t taking part.Having taken a trip over and then queued to order and take a seat we were somewhat annoyed.Perhaps some signage would have helped if a mistake had been made.Food was below average, especially for twice the price we expected to pay.

The location is beautiful but the food was uneatable. We ordered the homemade steak and ale pie, and the cajun chicken burger. The meals were £10.55 each, so we were expecting some great homecooked food. The pastry on the steak pie was hard and dry, and some the steak was burnt to the lid of the pie. The cajn chicken burger should have come with homemade slaw, which was not supplied. When I asked the waitress about the slaw, she said that she would check, and that was the last time we saw her. A large wine and a pint of flat beer were priced at £10.10, which ranked alongside hotel prices.

Couldn't fault the food and the staff absolutely brilliant.been before and look forward to our next visit.

Staff are nice. It’s lovely in the summer to sit outside it gets busy especially in the evening overlooking the water.in the winter it is very quiet but it is nice to sit near the open fire.Food is not cheap and I found it very disappointing. The place has stood still and still in the 80’s. if it got a facelift it would be a gold mine.

We live locally to the cove and are within walking distance - it’s Great location, fantastic on a sunny day - the wooden terrace sits over the lake.So it’s a real shame that the service and food are so poor. The managers are unhelpful and at times rude. If it’s slightly busy be prepared for a significant wait at the bar. Dogs are allowed outside, but I’d avoid bringing them inside unless you want a lecture from the staff. (And you have to walk through the bar to access additional outdoor seating) Food is bland and expensive for what it is. The decor inside needs updating; looks like it was last decorated in the early 1980s. In summary: good a for a quick drink, food/service need real improvement.

Can’t wait to return, not all restaurants are pooch friendly, my advice is to check first. The staff and management are faultless, service epic and the food is not just good it’s excellent, well done to the chef brigade. Exceptional quality, great flavours.. great views and not at all gloomy! It’s bright, fun and in a wonderful location. If you want something a bit different for a day out, great food, service and perhaps a cheeky cold beer, you should go! I am a chef so I understand the pressures on the brigade and front of house, more so the management as a down review hurts when one is so passionate about the business and working so hard to deliver the best to their customers, we look forward to returning next weekend. My son loves it here and has always been warmly welcomed and loved his food, he’s 12, so can be a fusspot, but he is catered for perfectly, whatever his request.

We thought we’d visit for an early evening drink and have a meal. We took our small dog and we’re enjoying a drink outside, when a heavy storm struck. We were not allowed to shelter inside the door because of our dog even though it was thundering and raining in torrents. We left. Just hope this place can afford to turn away customers if they have a dog, having just been to Devon where our dog was welcomed in pubs, cafes and restaurants! Not suggesting that dogs are allowed in their dining area but just inside at the informal seating?

Went to Nemos as a post-graduation meal. My gosh, what a beautiful setting and the outside seating Is lovely to sit and enjoy. However, the food was unacceptable. Most of it was stone cold, with browned lettuce inside of our sandwiches and also items missing off of our order. The place could benefit off a new menu or just better quality food in menu, it's a shame as the location is beautiful and it just feels like the restaurant could do more with itself.

Good food but, God is it gloomy. Also a guy walked in the bar with a small dog and wanted drink and was told by someone who was probably a manager etc you cant bring dogs in here. She did not suggest you stay outside with your dog and I'll bring you a menu and the man was asking well what am I supposed to do. Our group did not pass a comment but thought this was wrong. Nothing to do with us but worth mentioning

I have eaten here both during the day whilst diving and in the evening. the food is good quality and well priced. if you go into eat in the evening expect to have a slight delay for food as this is a really popular place to eat. great for a summer evening sitting outside looking out over the water

We live locally and have eaten at the Cove many times. We came twice recently and the food was poor. The fish (which has always been great) was soggy and I'm pretty sure we were given frozen oven chips! What's gone wrong? Some friends have also recently been for food and they were disappointed too. I'm leaving this review in the hope that Nemos can improve because we did enjoy & would like to continue eating there.

This restaurant is just a 10 minute walk from my sister's house and is always a first choice when deciding where to eat. I can't fault the friendly service and it has a holiday feel to the restaurant and cove. Unfortunately this time when we visited I chose a cider apple and pork burger from the specials board which was very disappointing has it tasted rather bland. My sister, too was not very happy with the limited choices of vegetarian meals has She is not a huge fan of pasta or cheese. Having had a moan the other meals, ( jacket potato with Chilli, eggs on toast and a chargrilled chicken meal), where delicious.

As a treat my daughter and son in law took us to this super tucked away Restaurant as it was her Dad's and her birthdays. It was only about 12 miles from Coventry and well worth a ride in the countryside. There's a large car park, a huge lake and a very welcoming sight of the restaurant. My daughter had faggots with mash mixed with black pudding Nd mushy peas, her husband had mixed grill, I had burger with bacon and side salad and my husband had burger with bacon and chilli and side salad and chips. It was all home made and cooked to order and you sit looking over a large lake where they do diving. There's also outside seating for warm summer night's. In the lake there are lots of sunken things from cars to planes and boats for divers to go down to explore. A wonderful friendly reasonable super tucked away Restaurant. We must go again.

Lovely setting looking over Stoney Cove and the food was really lovely The only thing was the seating could be a bit more comfortable outside, but I’d definitely recommend it.

I take my 2 year old son here usually once a week for a sandwich and to watch the divers. We both enjoy it. The food is basic, cafe food really. The lady behind the bar is lovely. The place is cosy, nice seating in and out. It's nice to see the divers coming out of the water...

Food was poor at best As non divers we won't go again We didn't complain - the fact that it had been served in the first place spoke for itself - inedible in part

I dive regular at stoney cove and also visit for breakfast and watch the divers. I have never found the staff anything but polite and happy to help. the service is very good its not a Michelin restaurant. Food good value hot - The shop I had a kit failure they fixed it even though not bought from them for the cost of the parts only. The refill station gets hectic I would strongly I mean strongly advise clear mark your cylinders as I have known people get the wrong cylinders back. hand in a 15litre and get back a 12 please clearly id your cylinder.

After reading reviews I was dreading going for dinner here, but was actually pleasantly surprised probably some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a restaurant in years. The service was friendly and the drinks well priced. It’s good home cooked food that’s priced accordingly. If you want fancy it’s not for you. Some people only write reviews to slate, and they don’t realised how detrimental that can be to a business

My husband and I came here for our 1 year anniversary as we came here on our 1St date 3/4 years ago the food was OK back then but now it's horrendous and the customer service is even worse. They've never heard of the customer is always right they believe they are right even tho they're not the ones eating the food. I had the "homemade lasagne" which was frozen fresh, it was cold in the middle and hot on the outside, the garlic bread was just a soggy baguette the onion rings were greasy and soggy and my husbands mixed grill was a child portion at £15 for a mixed grill you expect 15 pounds worth. And £10 for the frozen lasagne is disgusting! When I complained the woman with black hair approximately 40-50 years old told me would you like us to warm it up which tells me it was from a microwave anyway, I explained no as we are going home now, I said if we could just get a refund we'd be on our way. She then exclaimed "you won't get a refund!"

We stopped here after a failed pub visit and was very happy what was offered the food came out quickly and tasted great ! Excellent service and good food at good prices

Decided to give it a try and wasn't dissapointed.

I came with my friends to have wine and light bite food. I ordered Italian platter, I noticed that 2 items were missing from the description on the menu. I asked the waiting staff for the bits that were missing and was told they would go and get them from the kitchen. One item was brought out and no more was said on the matter. Confused by this I then asked the waiter again, he replied with 'has nobody spoken to you' by this time I had finished my platter as it was all of 4 items. , which the owner informed me that all my Italian platter is pre packed, when on the menu it states FRESH meat! Not very satisfied by the out come, which was nothing!

Not the easiest place to find but worth putting in the effort! The place is all about the deck and the view of the lake - we went for fish and chips - which were pretty huge portions, nice batter! Great place for drinks/sundowners!

Nemo's Bar is in the most lovely setting overlooking Stoney Cove, but it is frustrating that the owners do not make more of it. It definitely needs a lick of paint outside and would be hugely improved by pots of plants on the balconies. My visit did not start off well, when the picnic bench that my dining chumand I sat on tipped over, spilling his full glass of beer over both of us. A waitress came with a cloth but disappointingly did not offer to refill the beer glass. Bench needs attention before someone is hurt! Having said that we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. It was home cooked, hot and nicely served. The chocolate cheesecake our was utterly delicious. Another gripe is that you have to pay for each item (drink, food, puds) separately as you order them. No running up a tab, which was 'different' and annoying. Trying hard to ignore the frustrations when the food was so good!

It started when I rang up to book a table , lady who answered said hold on while she carried on serving ! Don’t answer the phone then if your not free . She was rude & abrupt like she wanted rid of me ASAP , but I thought let it go as not been Stoneycove for a while , the place itself is an absolute hidden Gem , so so beautiful , such a gorgeous setting , I was suprised it wasn’t packed ? ... Food was ok , but service was terrible , u can’t stand at the side of the bar u have to go to front & then when u do u get told to go to the other end , bloody ridiculous , the older man who took the order was so rude , snapping at us , barking orders at his staff while serving us , no manners or customer service whatsoever , I asked where u get the ice cream from as I had noticed another customer with one & he said they had only opened it for someone else , guessing a regular but if I was lucky they might serve me ? Wtf ! so sad cus it ruined what could of been a perfect evening in such a stunning location ....won’t b back

After walking out of a nearby establishment due to diabolical service, we found ourselves here on my dad’s 70th birthday, hoping they’d assist our unannounced group of 11. What an absolutely lovely bunch of people who went out of their way for us and made us feel like royalty. Cannot thank the staff for saving the day really. Lovely food, lovely staff, beautiful place. Xx

Stopped in here for a quick drink in the picturesque Stoney Cove. Whilst here I grabbed a bite to eat. At first I say a fairly modest menu with usual pub fare of burgers and pasta etc, however the specials board is exactly that. There are a few gems on there like the massive 16oz steak I had for around £20 if you include the beer. The place was quite busy outside as the rare UK sun did come out, and the the balcony area is definitely the draw here overlooking the lovely view. If I had more time I would loved to have grabbed one of those seats and chilled there all evening. Great place.... Worth a small detour to go to it.

We regularly use this as a base for breakfast/brunch after using the cove . On the whole the food has improved of late although the menu remains the same. Today though we almost had a row with the older lady with glasses who runs the bar.......she can be blunt but today she was down right rude. She could do with some lessons in manners towards customers as her tone is unfriendly and unwelcome. It is plainly a captive audience as it is the only food facility but courtesy and a smile in the world of food service is a must.

Amazing place to come, great place to dive and just chill enjoy couple drinks parking is free, prices not to high and very good service.

This is really a typically dated pub attached to the diving centre. It is pretty dated and dark inside but food is fine for pub grub... sadly no view of the water when sitting at the tables. Maybe better in summer, but needs tidying up-lots of other places!!

Arrived on spec on Thursday evening meals were lovely fish and chips 2 x steak and ale pies braised steak home cooked adnams ghost ship very nice we will be back

Such a shame, I lived in Stoney Stanton 25 years ago so I decided I would visit and call on an old stomping ground ........ BIG MISTAKE

Durning the festive period me and my partner visited and the service was terrible as well as extremely rude to both myself and my partner. The only redeeming feature was the food was reasonable if not expensive. I understand that they have secured a niche market and as such do not seem to care about those who they serve. My partner felt most upset about this as she had recommended it due to the location of the beautiful cove. I can assure you that I shall never frequent this establishment again and shall not be recommending it to my friends who live locally.

Me and my partner went for a meal here and it did not disappoint. Great home Cooked meal and cosy atmosphere. Friendly and polite staff and had a wonderful evening.

We were a group of 4 divers from Belgium who visited Stoney Cove for 2 day's diving, which was very good.

Excellent service, friendly staff, beautiful scenery. Went for a meal last night and had a beer whilst watching the sunset. Would thoroughly recommend that you visit.

We have been for lunch today, we could not fault it, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was all home cooked, i had Lasagne which was better than my own, and i make a mean Lasagne, yummy.

Great location and good value honest food, happy cheerful staff. The place was so busy we struggled to get a table.

Ordered meat lasagne and on tasting it realised it had loads of oninons and chilli in it making it very hot. Who puts chilli in lasagne???I have an intolerance to chilli or any other hot spices so couldn't eat it so when the barman/manager did the customery thing of asking if the meals were ok I informed him that the lasagne was hot due to the chilli. He just said" ok" then simply shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We were with friends and didn't wish to spoil the evening by taking issue with him but what is the point of asking folk if there meal is ok if you totally disregard the feedback. Added to that the garlic bread was that rock hard I couldn't bite into it. If we had been treated respectfully we would have had desert and stayed for drinks but instead I was that disgusted we left.

Looked a great place on paper and they serve meals all day.

Went there for the first time and had to wait an hour and a half for a steak and ale pie and a jacket potato. Another couple requested a refund after waiting 2 hours for a baguette and some nachos. When the food did arrive it wasn't great, certainly not worth the money we paid for it. Also had a lime and soda that tasted awful. Really disappointed as it's in a beautiful spot and the staff seen really nice. Just seems poorly managed. Would go there again for few drinks but not to eat.

Nemo's is good value for money. Freshly prepared food. Friendly staff. Stoney Cove has lovely views.

Often eat here following a day's scuba diving. The fodd is good, reasonably priced, and the service is quick.

Visitamos entre semana para el almuerzo con un grupo grande. La comida fue excelente y los precios eran muy razonables y el servicio fue muy amable. Es un largo tiempo desde que habíamos comido aquí y estamos obviamente perdiendo. No dudaría en volver a traer a los visitantes para el almuerzo. Especialmente en un día de calor, la cala es un lugar encantador para sentarse y ver a los buzos.

Good food, great atmosphere, perfect views. The best end to a divers weekend. Staff are friendly place was clean considering surrounding activities all round lovely place.

Un lugar muy agradable durante todo el verano. El personal era grosero. Pedí un plato de patatas fritas después de buceo, él simplemente dejó el tazón abajo como si fuese un inconveniente para ellos, no importa, pero que no estaban. Creo que es muy caro y así no vamos allí. Es una pena realmente ya estoy allí casi cada semana.

Pasó por aquí, ya que no habíamos visitado Stoney Cove en años. Me sorprendió gratamente con Nemo. Un almuerzo muy hermoso y una selección. El restaurante tiene un gran tema náutico para encajar la cala de buceo.

Come here after diving at Stoney Cove for the weekend, the sun was really nice and was great to sit outside on the terrace. Food looked good, but was a long wait so decided against ordering. Great views of the lake from here

Mientras que el ambiente y el personal es estupendo, y el entorno precioso, no vayas esperando comida decente. Yo buceo aquí regularmente y siempre parar a tomar una cerveza al final. He tenido sólo patatas fritas (patatas fritas congeladas y mal cocidos), chips de queso queso rallado (procesos que es tirado en el último momento, así no se deshacen).

Hay dos secciones muy de nerón - la trampilla a los buzos y el restaurante/bar.

My wife and I always call into Nemo's when I have been diving. This time we had tea and cake which was very nice and reasonably priced. Also the guy who always seems to be behind the bar is really friendly and welcoming.

Cuando visite Piedras Cove para buceo he comido tanto de la 'Buceadores Nemos Llevar' y también en el bar. No llevar el desayuno impresionante rollos fantástico para aquellos principios de buceo comienza. La comida del bar es bastante normalito, pero el bar es un gran lugar para calentarse junto a la chimenea con una bebida mientras haciendo su post-misión de buceo. También hay una terraza con mesas y con una gran vista de 'The Cove' donde podrá también relajarse y ver la actividad de buceo.

Vivimos cerca de este lugar y han sido unas cuantas veces antes, era tranquilo, así que la comida de hoy rápido, gran ubicación, gran vista y la comida (comida de un típico pub) es razonable. . No temas. En esta visita, volveremos. . .

Friendly bar staff and nice food selection as well as a specials board. Great view over the cove and if you go at the right time you can watch the dives taking place.

Nemo está dentro de los límites del centro de la cala y es Stoney un lugar interesante para visitar con seriamente vistas sobre el gran lago que llena una cantera inundada. Hay mucha actividad de buceo allí y Nemo es naturalmente temática a lo largo de estas líneas. La comida es buena y a un precio razonable y sirve bastante rápidamente por un personal amable y servicial, y hay una buena variedad de cervezas y sirven buen café. Está un poco alejado, pero el M69 está bastante cerca y hay un montón de aparcamiento aunque podría ser un problema en los fines de semana, cuando la cueva se llena de mermelada los buceadores. El no ejecutar las fichas bar que en realidad no es un problema. Si quieres algo diferente para el almuerzo en Leicestershire, que no viene mucho más diferente de Nemo's - sin duda volveremos allí.

Regularmente uso para desayunar como he dicho antes.

Pleasant lunch. Mixed grill with pepper sauce. Very pleasant with unique views of the divers scuba diving. On sunny day looking over the lake is relaxing. Pleasant food. Nice vegetarian lasagna for my wife

He estado muchas veces como cliente y buceador este pub... no haber sido durante bastante tiempo, yo estaba muy contento de ver que el servicio es bueno y la comida aún mejor...

Great bar with excellent selection of drinks amazing views BUT we paid £10 fo a pulled pork burger with fries and salad, I dont mind paying the money but when you picked the burger up it was so light, for the money you could have had 3 cheeseburgers at £3.50 each

Really enjoyed Nemo's. Good quality, affordable lunch, eaten outside with a wonderful backdrop. Had a lovely hot chocolate too :) Lovely little find :) will be visiting again :)

Fuimos a Stoney Cove en un día de lluvia, lo que un pub precioso en un entorno precioso. Sábado en el bar y tenía una comida mirando el lago interior. buceo Personal muy amable, y el cerdo burger sacó era para morirse. Una buena relación calidad-precio, muy recomendable.

Visto como estábamos en la zona decidimos ir a almorzar. Al llegar a Piedras Cove me sentí aliviado al ver que era tranquilo, así que nos gustaría poder tener. A menudo he visto donde los buceadores son estacionados en la carretera porque es muy concurrido. En coche, nos preguntó si estábamos buceo, nos dijo que no, y estaban dirigidas a la primera aparcamiento que no estaba lleno. Si hubiera estado llevando un traje traje seco o con mi equipo en un tranvía que esto no ha sido un problema, pero en los talones y no abrigo no había manera de salir de mi coche para intentar caminar por el parque de coches más baja en un barro desiguales parking cuando parecía que iba a pobres. Muy decepcionado que tuvimos que conducir y buscar otro sitio para comer. Me quedaré por el hombre siga la próxima vez porque obviamente no estaba lleno.

Called In here for lunch recently and was really impressed. Friendly staff , reasonable prices. A lovely place to relax and have a drink with lunch :-) I would recommend to anyone.

We always have a drink in here after diving but this is the first time we have eaten. We had the full English breakfast each and it was lovely. This will probably end up being a regular thing every time we go to Stoney Cove!

Sentado con mis amigos tener bebidas y fuimos a pedir comida. Esperábamos algo de esperar, ya que estaba lleno y un día muy caluroso. Nos dijeron que la cocina ya se negó a tomar pedidos por al menos 20 minutos, así que esperamos que (incluso conté.) cuando volvimos a la orden en la cola mientras nos avisaron por personal para no molestar y la comida sería hasta una hora. Honestamente, no fue sorpresa que este fin de semana iba a ser increíble y me y tiempo todos mis amigos sintieron que no estaban preparados para lo suficiente. Sin duda donde yo trabajo que nunca gire el servicio.

Como nadador en aguas abiertas recientemente hemos encontrado este sitio para nadar y tengo que decir que es uno de nuestros favoritos para un chapuzón.

We visited the pub by chance over the weekend not knowing it was also a very busy dive centre we struggled to find a space to park but once inside the pub itself we were seated very quickly and the staff were very attentive but at times seemed to be struggling with the mass of people coming inside for food my husband ordered off the menu which my self found to be a bit plain and out-dated, the food while it was fairly well cooked it took awhile for it to get to us all in all I would give this place a chance as they do have a daily specials bored

We were aware of this place but never got round to going, now that we have , good scenery / views ,ideal in the warmer weather to sit outside over looking the cove but also plenty of room inside, typical pub food , not a massive selection but sometimes that can be good, very reasonably priced...

A warm and friendly place. Great for just a quick drink next to the fire or an uncomplicated meal. The premises were clean and tidy, overall a big thumbs up.

The food, when it came was good and there was a good choice on the menu. However it took ages to get served with staff appearing to be more interested in putting up Christmas decoration than dealing with customers.

Celebré mi 60 cumpleaños fiesta en Stoney en 16 th sept El ambiente con las luces en el agua y la puesta de sol reflejándose en el agua era fantástico. Tenía una banda de Ceilidh con baile en el aparcamiento. El personal de Nemos eran geniales y hicieron todo lo posible para que el evento un verdadero placer. El buffet y barbacoa era genial con barbacoa lleno rollos distribuidas continuamente a los juerguistas y el buffet repuesto con regularidad.

Yo tenía muchas ganas de comer aquí porque había visto personas que están recibiendo su comida mientras que sábado contemplando las motos de agua y motos de agua volando alrededor de la cala y me pareció fantástico.

Mi novio y yo nos dirigimos para que pudiera mostrarle la belleza completa de Stoney Cove. Un pintoresco lugar que fue originalmente una cantera, convertido en una zona de buceo con un restaurante/bar para asistir a para cualquiera que quiera visitar.

Nemo es nos lo habían recomendado y que se encuentra en el bullicioso centro buceo Stoney Cove. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida por parte del personal y la comida es de mucho mejor calidad que el estándar de pub y a un precio muy razonable. En un cálido día podríamos habernos sentado afuera y disfrutamos viendo a los buceadores para preparar sus amplios descensos en las profundidades. Como nos quedamos muy contentos de disfrutar de nuestra comida en un entorno cordial con la excelente Ray y su asistente pasantes Jack para cuidar de nosotros. Volveremos ...
