Staff very friendly and and helpful and the food is delicious compliments to the chef all chefs 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳 it's a such lovely place to visit no fuss or complaints amazing service

The entire meal & evening out was great, we went on a Sunday hopping to have the Sunday roast but that’s only served in the afternoon but we’d book for 18.30 so we missed it, but the meal that we had was really good!

Great food, service and a dog menu!!! Amazing lunch time deal and I had a massive Tuna melt and perfectly cooked, crispy chips. My wife had some lovely onion bhaji's. Lots of parking, online table booking, lots of space and tables outdoors and a children's play area. To top it all off there is a dogs menu. Our Lab, Phoebe polished off a burger and a sausage in 15 seconds. 100% recommend.

Food great and staff very helpful, I changed my booking and added a person but the booking rejected with no notification at all or email to advise me and this seemed to be the story of the day. I ordered my food with no gravey at all and had to be sent back as came out covered staff apologise for this as well as issue with booking. Will say team seemed very stretched like not enough in and will think before going again

Disappointing for Mothers Day. Waited over an hour for our food and it arrived virtually cold. I know it was busy but that was predictable so more staff should have been on. So I have down graded from previous reviews. Very disappointed

This was our first visit to the Glen Parva Manor and we will definitely be coming back. The service was fantastic throughout even when it started to get very busy, with multiple large parties, we never felt ignored and our food was delivered quickly and excellently cooked. We had prawn cocktails and garlic mushrooms for starters; both dishes were delicious with large, juicy prawns in the cocktails - it was a bit difficult getting the last bits of lettuce from the bottom of the sundae glass, but was a nostalgic blast from the past as a plating set up. Our mains were even better; beef lasagne, hunters chicken and a steak and ale pie - good portion sizes throughout, lovely and tasty, and served hot and quickly. Our server was delightful, chatty, and friendly. The booth seats were a little snug for a couple in our group, but a minor inconvenience and didn't impact on our enjoyment of the meal and the atmosphere. The coffees to round off the meal (couldn't fit in any of the yummy looking desserts!) were really good, and again served promptly even though at this point I think every table in the place was occupied! Excellent time and food, we will be back!!

I always get really bad anxiety when visiting new places but this place is not far from home so very convenient despite my anxiety, this place was very welcoming and full of friendly people and staff. Food was amazing and it's pet friendly which is perfect for all you fur baby owners. My little one and my dog loved it as there was a play area to accommodate this. I would certainly come again alone or with company.

Would like to thank Darrell for making our visit. Was very busy but he still made the effort and was attentive to our groups needs.

Friendly and welcoming, quick and super polite waiting staff. The only downside was the steak was a bit on the chewy side. But other than that, it was pretty damn good.

Come here white regular for food with the family and always usually good service and food. Visited yesterday after we had booked a table and pre ordered our food. We had to ask the staff if the food was coming after 40mins of us arriving. We waited a total of 1 hour and 15minutes before our food arrived. We had a child under 5 also who was becoming a little hangry! Once the food arrived, there were portions and sides missing and were received once meals had been finished. Steak was over cooked and cold. Salads had items missing from them that were stated in the menu. Child's chicken burger was dry and unappetising. We did inform the staff and they were very apologetic, it had been a busy day. We were given some money off of our bill to compensate however it was disappointing as we had already pre ordered our food and just did not expect to wait so long with no communication.

As usual, great food and service to the table, the bar needs extra staff at busy times, but cannot fault what has been the last 4 or 5 visits. Looking forward to eating and drinking with you again !

Absolutely fantastic Christmas day meal for our family of 10. My grandson has dairy & soya allergy and he was catered for with no problems. Everything about the meal was first class. The waiter & waitress were cheerful we were not rushed between courses our food all came together and was hot. The atmosphere was lovely wouldn't hesitate to book again for Christmas day. Thankyou to all the wonderful staff.

Won’t be going again as I had one steak which was tough and so was my second one. They need to teach their chef how to cook. Steak is easy and of course it depends on the cut of meat. Cheap steak won’t be any better when it’s cooked. Fillet steak is easier to cook and takes minutes. But it has to rest or it’s tough. Just get a proper chef.

Lovely pub. Not enough staff serving though post lunch time. And allowing smoking just outside the main entrance should be a no no.

Sunday lunch for 5 adults & 1 toddler, the food was delicious well prepared & arrived at the table hot. The service was very good throughout & always attentive & keen to serve. We were seated in a booth, & the only reason my review isn’t a 5⭐️ is the booth seating is very tight & not easy to move once seated.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, and pub is a pleasant environment- although a little cold as side door to garden kept being left open when staff went outside to collect glasses. Food was good, but unfortunately a little too expensive for an ordinary week night at a local pub. We had burgers which came with chips but no small nice side embellishments like a simple bit of lettuce or a few tomatoes; burger bun had caught a little so it looked a bit underwhelming. It was tasty and filling though, so no complaints there. Food also was quite some time arriving at the table - and the nachos we’d ordered first, via the app, arrived after the food we’d ordered with the waitress. Both staff members we saw were lovely - helpful and friendly, so we feel like our eve was good. Pub was absolutely dead after about 8.30pm, which felt a shame.

Always a great experience at the Manor. The staff are so helpful with prompt seating and recommendations with the menu. I had a steak which was melt in the mouth delicious. I'm not normally a steak person, but I had been fancying one for months. It didn't disappoint.

The food was lovely, staff go out of there way to make sure your visit goes well. Our 2 grandchildren were given crayons and paper to colour. They loved the snakes and ladders. Cannot wait to come back.thank you to the staff

I've been coming to The Manor for years as my gran, who is 94, lives a couple of minutes drive away so it's very convenient. The standard of food has always varied but have always found their prices pretty reasonable. After today's meal, I'm not sure we'll be returning again. There were 6 of us for lunch, 2 that ordered off the specials menu which was a burger with X2 beef patties, pulled chicken and camembert cheese and fries... The burgers were absolutely tiny and burnt, the chicken was not 'pulled' - more so chunks of frozen chicken bits in a bbq sauce and there were 2 of the tiniest slices of camembert I've ever seen, it took us some time to find them, let alone taste them...costing a total of £15.99 each. One of the lunch menu items arrived for another member of the party and was honestly smaller than what you'd get on the children's menu. There were other mistakes made such as fries instead of chips, meals that were meant to come with a sauce which did not (we did address the latter two issues because human error happens). Overall, we found it very overpriced as the quality and portion sizes are not what they use to be and we were very disappointing which I'm sorry to say.

I booked a table on line for 4 and requested where I wanted to sit. This was arranged. We had a lovely meal, the staff were very helpful, and polite as always. I highly recommend the Glen Parva Manor.

Pleasant surroundings, good food and good value for money. No one rushing us. Food came out at a reasonable time from order and was piping hot. All in all a great night, staff were polite and welcoming

Visited recently for a family meal, 15 of us in total. We had to send at least half of the meals back. Of the 7 or so we sent back all of them were cold or some of the meal was cold when we got served. Mine was only barely warm, but I didn't want to have to wait longer, so I put up and ate up. (It was steak what can I say 😃 ) The last 4 meals to come out were piping hot. The women who served us throughout the meal were brilliant. I'm sorry I didn't get your names. Even with the complaints and being refunded for the meals, they kept a smile on their faces.

We booked the table the day before and it was ready just as requested. Staff speedily took our drinks and then food orders. The food from the lunch menu arrived very quickly and was hot and delicious. No fire on today ....the room a bit chilly!

Occasion was a family birthday and we were to visit even without the BOGOF offer, it's a special restaurant for us to celebrate. We ate in the long room ( table 4) but were quite dismayed at the poor state of the chairs, all 4 were in a dirty mess. Felt reluctant to sit on them but didn't see any alternatives. The 2 Thai & gamon meals were delish but the steak which was requested to be medium rare was overcooked and returned. When the second steak was presented, it was cooked a little better but very tough and inedible. By this time our 3 meals had been long finished and my brother decided not to complain further as it had ruined the continuity of our birthday get together. The Glen Parva Manor is decorated beautifully, set in lovely surroundings and the staff (apart from the kitchen folk) are remarkable and caring. Perhaps the moral here is don't choose a steak meal, what a shame!

this is a really nice place,,a good choice of food,cooked just right and very pleasant efficient waiters,the place was really clean throughout,and the prices very fair.2 of my guests wanted items made different to the menu and this was actioned without any problems,all in all a very good dining experience,

We came to The Manor yesterday evening for my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the lady who served us but she is an absolute credit to the company/pub. She was great with our children and even my 7 year old son stated how kind she was. (We were the 5pm booking on the 10/01/25). Food was lovely and we will definitely be coming to The Manor more often!

We were cold the whole time we were there, the food seemed very cheap and tasteless and once we were seated there was no hope of getting service. Will not return anytime soon.

Friendly , great at judging if you want to chat to them or just place your order and be left to talk with your own guests. Also Covid safety recognised and gentlely implemented. Hats off to everyone. Había una familia de 12 que comió en la mansión el día de Navidad. La comida, el servicio y el ambiente era muy bueno. Tomé un cóctel de gambas con gambas frescas y salmón. Una tradicional cena de Navidad con todos los adornos y después un crumble de cerezas y manzanas con natillas. No me podía perder nada acerca de nuestra experiencia familiar y recomendaría este como un gran lugar para comer.

Found staff very friendly, even though it was staff training day we found the service really good , Faith our server was very helpful & kept checking Everything was ok , would highly recommend a visit.

Our food was very nice and hot & the staff were all friendly and lovely and helpful too! I had tomato soup & bread to start followed by turkey dinner with extra cauliflower cheese then warm chocolate brownie kinda like a sponge cake with ice cream and one of my friends had this delicious sticky toffee sponge with lots of sauce!

Good food at a reasonable price

Really lovely experience, from the warm welcome on arrival all the way through our meal and in the goodbyes. Would definitely recommend a visit here. Very nicely laid out for the festive meals and super generous portions.

Food is so-so. Choice is fine if you like burgers, but still very limited for pasta dishes. Lasagne is not one that I would recommend, rather underwhelming to be honest

Honestly it was amazing from the get go. Staff were so friendly and interacted with our baby. Our son had his first meal in a pub ever thanks to the reassurance of the staff members about his multiple allergies. They treated the situation with seriousness and gave some great recommendations. I felt at ease feeding him and it was just a wonderful meal with my family. Absolutely recommend especially if you have allergies and are hesitant to eat out.

We both had battered fish but where was the FISH?? All batter! Had to have a dessert to fill us up! This place has gone way down hill. Should have known as last time we went I had a solid burnt burger. But NEVER again!

Large family and dog friendly pub..with seating in and outdoors.Typical pub grub menu (steaks,fish and chips,burgers and lighter bites too ) as well as a specials menu too which should satisfy most tastes and appetites . Good range of draught and bottled beers ,cider & wines etc and friendly staff. Great historical building.Large car park. Outdoor Play area for kids too.

Food and service were fantastic .

We had chicken n bacon And Prawn salad, very large portions, plenty of chicken and Prawns, presented very nicely indeed. Staff are delightful, and no long wait, obs because it's a salad. Ti top it all, I have a taste card so got 25% off whole bill! We got to all the Marstons Pubs, and all fab 👌 for the price 😀 .
