Gordon showed us to our table and explained how to order from the menu or the carvery. Very friendly and great atmosphere, and we had the carvery which was fresh and delicious

Popped in for a quick carvery after football. Received a warm welcome from Gordon. The carvery was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. We had a great conversation afterwards with Gordon when he came over to check if we enjoyed our meal. What a lovely person!

Food was reasonably priced, came quickly even though very busy, and was nice meal, the desserts looked amazing however didn't get chance to try as was rushed out of table ready for next booking. Was no where to sit and just talk to friends as soon as sat down staff moved you off saying tables where booked. However 2 hours later still noone sat at the tables had been moved from due to them being booked. Bar area as waiting area for table to be ready or when moved off table for next booking is too small, with staff consistently asking you to move from there also. Just made to feel like a fast food restaurant rather than an enjoyable relaxing meal out with friends.

Food is nice. I have been here several times and sometimes the food taste 5star levels of great and other times maybe 3star. Overall 4star Staff are friendly and service is pretty fast. The line for the carvery can get quite long depending on the time but you usually don't have to wait too long

Ordered a mixed grill, service was fine, atmosphere was fine, everything on the mixed grill was fine, except the chicken which had a very strong chemical taste to it so I left it after having one mouthful. This was Saturday and I've spent the last 2 days with severe abdominal pains. Won't be going back

Was quite disappointed, Chunky, vegetables and Chunky beef? I mean, Chunky, thickt 2 pieces. And the beef was very tough not to use your quality.

Food was stone cold the meat portion was enough for a toddler absolute rubbish

A gang of us always go for breakfast before rugby on a Saturday and are well looked after and the food is great. The only thing stopping a 5 🌟 review is the current toast farce. The toaster is useless takes ages and causes a bottleneck for people wanting to get coffee and tea. Yesterday my wife spent 20 mins queuing for toast. The old way of providing toast needs to come back or at least a better toaster in a different location.

Fancied carvery and what better place to go than Grove Farm. The food was fresh and hot and the staff were very friendly, especially Gordon who helped us with our choice of cake / takeaway option.

I'm sorry this is the third time I've came an it was the worst breakfast I've had, bacon is cooked but being put on a grill leaving a horrible taste, sausages taste cheap and nasty,and everything else was Luke warm an that's being kind.

This pub offers a fantastic experience with delicious food, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a great selection of well-cooked dishes. Had the fish and chip supper which was much better than I expected, the sausage was a bit over-done but still ok, everything was very tasty👍

The Full English buffet was nothing short of breakfast heaven. Crispy bacon, perfect eggs, and hash browns so good they deserve their own fan club. The coffee…i don’t know, didn’t had it but the staff were as warm as the toast. Left full, happy, and questioning if I should ask them if i can move in.

Staff always welcoming at every visit and the food is superb not mentioning those delicious desserts too, we visit as a family of 4 and we all love the visit well done to all the hard work all the staff put in .

We all had a standard carvery, it was very tasty. only thing missing was Brussel sprouts but I suppose it depends on availability. The only let down was the fresh orange juice, looked good but didn't taste very nice. Our server Gordon did say they had just changed the supplier so it may have been a different brand?? Overall good experience and would have no worries about going back again

Came in a on Tuesday afternoon staff where lovely and friendly, Gordon was looking after our section and made sure we where happy with everything. Carvery was spot on like always.

Amazing food and a great place to eat. Always busy so that tells you about their reputation. Staff are friendly and the service is on point. Well done to all the staff, for the hard work and customer service and massive well done to the chefs for making amazing food.

Went today asked for a table of 8 or 2 4s near each other ended up over different parts and there was 2 guys sitting next to us on a table of 8 on there own they need to sort out there sitting arrangements everytime we come they always end up putting us on different tables

Visited today a group of 10. Booking was easy and staff very friendly. Gordon came over and chatted to us and asked if we had enjoyed our meal. It was great and very good value. A treat to eat out without breaking the bank.

Gordon was fabulous & very friendly. We had the breakfast roll, which had about 6 rashers of bacon in it. Not bad for a fiver. Great vfm.

Food was frozen, but staff very quick and apologetic to rectify the problem and couldn't apologise enough and it was nice to receive a piece of cake to take home. We will return disappointed pie and being frozen.

I always come here but today one of your staff ruined my whole experience. There was no reason to be rude if I sat on a table. As there was no one in the front to guide us. Usually when I wait they said just find a table around. He can very rudely and was as if looking for an argument. I don't feel comfortable coming back if u see the smw staff again.

Carvery very good always fresh.

Sticky table, ask to wipe nobody come to clean, dirty chair. Mug always missing from tea area. Just bargain price to eat and to have a beer nothing else . 4.1 star too much for this kind of place. Staff and manager should take a way to improve the cleaning and service for clients.

Ordered online through Uber, got my order completely wrong, the food was freezing that arrived anyway, trying to ring them and no answering at all to rectify the issue. Not happy in the slightest.

We were served by Gordon who was really friendly and helpful, made sure we had everything we needed and kept checking in to see if we needed anything and got us a takeaway box for our dessert. The food was really good value for money with decent portion sizes.

Disappointing carvery today unfortunately. I'm not sure if they're economising but the amount of meat served was meagre at best, despite purchasing a large meal, the standard size was woeful. Yorkshire puds were smaller than usual and underwhelming. My additionally purchased pigs in blankets were not cooked very well but the chef did exchange them when asked. Gravy was very tasty which was nice.This is the 4th time I've visited Grove Farm and I usually find it to serve tasty food that is good value but this afternoon's visit was a let down unfortunately.

We used to be very frequent visitors (at least once a week) but stopped going because the standard of food on the carvery deck seemed to have slipped downwards. After receiving a discount code for weekday use in January, we decided to re-visit and see if the standard had improved. Without pre-booking a table, we took a chance and were able to get a table and use the discount code without any problem at all - and were so pleased that we did! We both thoroughly enjoyed our lunchtime carvery - both the service and the food were excellent (in many ways surpassing the carvery meal we had paid more than 10x the amount for on Christmas Day at another local restaurant. We fully intend to return to regular visits to Grove Farm in 2025!

I live on my own and am disabled. I order the 3meat choice regularly and also on Sunday,the fact it cost more at weekends is expected I guess?.!however' I received half the meat size and roast potatoes. I understand you are busy at weekends but a regular "just eat" customer should not be short changed due to you trying to save on meat/roasts.i do not know if this is why the portion size differs! so I am not going to order on sunday anymore because of this,which means a loss for you of £850 Yr!

Staff where great I was over chargerd automatically by the till but the staff member sorted it fast and efficiently. The food was amazing and also even better the kids meals were free !!! Lovely jubbly 😊

The fish and chips we had was good value, but was cold again and we had to reheat our meals in the microwave

Carvery was good as usual, staff where pleasant but the vanilla slice that I had as a takeaway doesn’t look anything like what is on show to you.

A great place to eat and meet we had over 30 people from all over the country meet here on 21 st Dec All our dietary requirements were met and a great day had by all The staff are wonderful, very helpful with our older guests The process to pre order these meals was super easy even with several adjustments I cannot recommend this place enough.........in the words of Arny.....ill be back

The service was exceptional. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. The food tasted good. Gordon went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. With this sort of service, We will definitely come back.

We ordered from the table & the meal took ages to come, our meals were both well presented they were very tasty although they could have been hotter. I had rump steak medium rare with pepper sauce and my partner had a chicken dish as the fish and chips supper wasn't available. We have eaten at this carvery many times before. We enjoyed the evening thank you 😊

We had a carvery this evening. The food was not up to it's usual standard. Although there was plenty of room, two people were placed so close to us we were practically sharing a table - we could here everything they said and they us. There was no privacy whatsoever.

The food is ok, it’s very standard carvery and burgers offering. We sat near the children’s “play area” and there was nothing really for them to play on, just machines for them to buy things from. Really disappointing because we chose to go to this pub for it being family friendly.

Delivery driver was very polite and friendly. Meal was average. Would not order beef again as very tough and impossible to even cut!

We opted for the carvery. The customer service was excellent from the Greeter, who sorted a table for us. The person working on the carvery, and especially Martha who was very observant and diligant in ensuring customers were happy with their food and experience at Grove farm.

The carvery was the coldest meal I have ever had and I'd put it on a well warmed plate as well! I had to heat it in the microwave for 3 minutes in the end. The roast potatoes were hard and shrivelled, even before I heated the meal.

the wrong wine was sent and the vegetables were burnt and rock hard. The worst I've had from here, won't be buying again.

I had a really poor experience at Grove Farm on 30th Dec. We met here for an anniversary dinner with friends/ family. My friends had the carvery but I ordered a bacon and cheese burger (without the bun as I can't eat bread). It took so long to arrive that my friends had pretty much finished eating their carveries. It also arrived without the bacon (??) and a laughable amount of salad in a side bowl (I'm taking one 50 pence-sized lettuce leaf, one slice of tomato, and some onion). I took it to the bar and they whipped my plate back into the kitchen. I had to wait a few minutes but the bacon was added. They'd also replaced the salad with a proper bowl full and apparently replaced the chips with fresh. I took a mouthful of burger and it was cold. Took my plate back to the bar again. My friends by this time had finished their meals. I ended up just asking for a refund, which they did give me but it really wasn't the point. I went home hungry, our special 'anniversary' meal out tainted, and a bitter taste left in my mouth from having such a poor experience.

Lovely meal today and Gordon was very friendly and helpful.

Went for dinner for my sister in laws birthday ordered the food and drinks only my son had a starter. Starter came out all ok then the main meals came out but 3 didn’t we waited about ten mins nothing came out I went to the bar and asked for the other meals and was told they hadn’t came out as one had a starter we had all finished our meals by the time the other three came out so that’s about half hour absolutely disgusting and the manger walked away while I was still speaking to him clearly didn’t give a shite! If you order a starter be prepared to wait 30:/40 minutes for your main! Won’t be coming here again

From booking the Christmas meal to the very end everything was perfect. We had a couple of picky eaters that didn't like the set adult starters and I requested them to child starters and that was sorted for us...... Food was great as always and at the end I asked to change my pudding and again that too was sorted for me. We even got the table that my partner loves to eat our Christmas dinner at......... The whole experience was perfection. Will continue to go.

We visited Grove Farm on a busy Friday evening and were immediately welcomed by Gordon who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive throughout. The carvery meal was excellent value for money and included a great selection of vegetables as well as the meat options. Gordon advised us beforehand of wait times for non-carvery options which was helpful when ordering. Great quality food, professional service and family-friendly atmosphere. Thanks again Gordon 👏🏽👏🏽

I took my mother & a friend for breakfast, the staff, a larger white lady had an attitude, and an Asian man with tattoos. The attitudes of a couple of the staff, the lady just walked around looking fed up & snapped when a customer asked for toast. There ended up being about 4-5 people waiting for toast & she brought about 3 pieces of just white, that wasn't really toasted & we'd been waiting for around 10 minutes. I continued to wait with 3-4 other people for toast, who also wasn't happy with the service, then she comes back again 5-6 mins later with another 3 pieces of white toast, a couple of us wanted brown toast & none of us wanted lightly toasted bread that just seemed like stail bread not actually toast. We also had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for tomatos, my mum 60+ was told by the Asian guy "tomatos have to be at the right temperature darling" with an attitude, she'd be waiting maybe 10 minutes for tomatos to be heated up that she left as her breakfast was getting cold. He called my 60+ mother "darling" I really wasn't happy about this, I found it offensive, so rude & disrespectful. I was then told they would bring some tomatoes & toast to our table after waiting for well over 10 minutes, still no toast or tomatoes & now a cold breakfast. Once the tomatoes finally arrived at our table, even though we'd nearly finished our breakfast now, they were cold, & after the comment with attitude that was just given to my mother. Last but not least, you don't get any drink included with breakfast, this is an extra cost, I think a drink should be included. Overall I wouldn't recommend Grove, go to Gynsills instead, drinks included, tea, coffee, juices, make yourself toast, they have a good selection. Cereals, fruits, cooked breakfast & continental breakfast. We definitely wouldn't be going back to Grove Farm & I will be steering people away. We will be sticking with Gynsills who are much, much better.
