Excellent service from Amy today. I misplaced my bag and she found it later on in the evening and contacted me to notify me! Thank you for her honesty and integrity, it was greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed a lovely carvery - all the staff we found to be so friendly and helpful. Thank you.

After a not very good experience last week which has since been sorted with management we went again this week on a different evening & what a difference hence me taking down my review as this week made up for it by being greeted by Alex who was very welcoming & professional showing us to our seats as we was walk ins as we normally do !!!! We then went to the bar to be served by Carl who was also lovely & did all he could by going to the kitchen to explain our needs with different food thank you both so much !!! The food was beautiful with 3 different starters & meals which was hot,well cooked basically all perfect from start to finish 👍

Had a diamond wedding celebration party of 17 including children from 6 months to 11 yrs old, the service from the staff was excellent didn't have long to wait for the food, everyone was happy with their meals, children were able to play without disturbing other people.

I am vegan, they normally do me some freshly made veg and i get a root veg pie or soga meat balls but for two weeks they haven’t had any so disappointed

Tonight we had the privilege of being served by Gordon. Gordon possesses excellent customer service skills. During our stay, he engaged in a delightful conversation that included funny stories and even gave superb advice on the services Grove Farm had to offer! Considering it is a Sunday and we expect Gordon to have been working a late night shift, that didn't stop Gordon from persevering above and beyond! His service to customers is extremely welcoming and heartwarming. It was an absolute pleasure to be served by him, and I look forward to seeing him on my next visit! We left with huge smiles on our faces. Gordon, Thank you very much from table 52 tonight! We enjoyed your stories about the water bottle and the lemon cakes! A sincere thank you from myself and my Family.

We go grove farm every Sunday . The staff are very friendly . Gordon always goes out his way to make us welcome . The food is great

Good varied menu, great service, tasty food and fair price especially for the carvery

Freya was really polite and helpful, She had a smile on her face. She had someone shadowing her and he seemed to pick up what he needed to do quickly as when I went back to get something else Freya had confidence in him to do it himself. I think she would be a good model to follow. It was nice to have someone who was helpful.

Not bad... food was OK but the queue for the carvery ( told it was around 30 minutes wait) meant we had to order from the menu... portion looked a little small but hey...

Another great Green King Farm. Grove Farm staff were friendly, very welcoming and allowed me stay several days while I worked in the area. Both the carvery and the breakfast buffet were very good. Thanks for putting up with me Grove Farm !

I ordered off the 2 course menu. Around £8.50. Had fish and chips. It was laughable. The fish was the size of a sardine in batter. I have never been disappointed before at the Grove. It certainly caused a laugh.

The food was amazing, the staff was so good. Would recommend Grove Farm to everyone. The food was so good and cooked to perfection.

Meat was good, some roast potatoes weren't cooked, mash potato was lumpy, veg was ok.Had run out of ice cream, the pastry on the apple pie was hard, only one out of three desserts were good. Been before was great this time was disappointing

We love coming to the Grove . Despite always being really busy, the staff are so friendly . Especially Gordon !! He’s our fave!!!!! We visited for my mums Birthday and he was a super host and looked after us really well (as always )! We all had a great time and the food was lovely 😃 xx

felt like i got two good to go bags it was cold the size of the meat slices were ridiculous the gravy had so much salt in it and i ordered extras which never received and u didnt read my comments when say no parsnips

I had a problem using a voucher but Gordon and Sarah were very persistent in trying to use it. We decided to try again after 12 and this time it worked. They were so helpful and cheerful and really made our visit. By the way the food was delicious.

food arrived, I slice of turkey for roast dinner and I ordered cheesecake and received carrot cake. when I tried to complain the phone wasn't answered.

Food was cold, the veg was barely cooked and hard, the roasties were like chewing on rocks they were that hard. Bit tight on the meat 599.

First-time customers, the atmosphere was delightful and homey, and all the staff were welcoming and friendly, Katrina was a great help explaining the process and was quick and efficient in her service. The food was delicious across the board with no complaints for quality. They even let us take home the left overs, which is a major bonus, a whole second diner combined!

Massive thank you to Lilly who gave excellent service and nothing was too much trouble. Gordon was a very helpfull and attentive.

Just back from our monthly Sunday lunch outing with friends. A beautiful carvery. Never fails to impress. And the staff are all very friendly. Gordon was very attentive to our needs and went that extra mile to make sure we were happy with everything. Thankyou. Will definately be back.

Visited on Sunday 4th Aug, It was very busy. We were seated quickly, ordered drinks from the bar, very good service. Ordered from the main menu instead of the carvery for a change, not disappointed and all four meals came out, without delay. Gordon our server was Great, polite, helpful and funny 😁 Well done to all.

asked for 2 meat dinner double beef hardly no meat and full of fat to many parsnips and broccoli roast potatoes were burnt it was like it was just through in the box with the left overs never again

I really enjoy coming here and on this occasion we came for dinner food was good and the counter chief made me feel confident that I could eat the food as I'm gluten intolerant she even made me some gluten free gravy so thank you Charlotte and Joe for my feast

I regularly stay along the road at the Marriott Leicester hotel for work, but prefer to walk along and eat here - much better value (and I'm not paying!), better selection of food, decent beer, and staff are very friendly! Gordon was especially courteous this evening! My local whilst away working!

Thought I would try this place instead of weatherspoons or the premier inn as I saw an advert on Facebook, I wish I hadn't. The food was lukewarm apart from the baked beans. The toast was dry and cold. The black pudding was rock hard. The eggs were overcooked. The coffee was lukewarm. Just all in all a very poor experience, the Toby carvery up north was far better but from now on I'm giving breakfast buffet's a wide birth.

Went for a family meal had carvery, no gammon ( shame) no sprouts. Anyway today woke up with the worst stomach pains , defintly the cavery ive not stop going to the loo. 😩

The food wasnt great .my sons lasagne hardly had any meat .it was most pasta and no it wasnt vegetarian. Sister in laws chicken strips were dry and didnt look very appetising. The chips were very dry as though they had been reheated several times ...there was 7 of us and wont be in a rush to go back

We always come to Grove Farm for the roast dinners. It's always good food and friendly service.

Honestly the best carvery I’ve had in years! All the food was fresh and hot, a great selection too. We were mainly served by Gordon who was fantastic, but had interactions from other staff too who were all very polite and helpful.

The food was 100% The cleanliness was 100% Having carveries all over the country, often 3 times a week.. yet this was the best one ever.

Served by Olivia. I misread the kids eat free offer and didn't sign up beforehand. Olivia kindly provided me with her own code. If she hadn't done this we may well have gone elsewhere to eat. Thank you Olivia for first class customer service!

Took 3 and 6 Yr old grandchildren and they loved the play area ate all their food including ice cream. I feel £1.99 per ride is steep and parents shouldn't have to pay for rides in play area when they are already customers. I had small carvery with beef and turkey which was very good value and plenty. Nice relaxed family atmosphere.

The food isn’t like it normally is.. the yorkies are not home made and the mash it lumpy and grey no joke.. try disappointed

Food was warm and delivered promptly. However not up to its usual standard. Containers were different meaning food had mushed together. Gravy pots were only a quarter full, so didn’t cover the whole dinner. Mashed potato had hard grey lumps in, Roasted potatoes were dry and hard.

I have been to grove farm up to 50 plus times in the past family and friends but yesterday i had a breakfast and the bacon was totally unacceptable it was too salty i have noticed in the past that towards the end of the breakfast time around 10,30 to 11 the bacon is topped up with burnt chargrilled leftover bacon which again is far too salty but we arrived at 9,30 and it was the same bacon, it ruined my breakfast and my friend also. the waitress was great when i told her and she offered fresh food but my appetite had gone, its such a shame because i love the place but wont be going back....please do not treat loyal customers with substandard 2nd rate food.

When you fancy a carvery but don't want to cook, not just on a Sunday, go get your vegetable intake for the day 😋 perfect.

Arrived at 10:51, (never been here before) stood at the ‘wait to be seated’ sign. Two women behind car looking at phones. Three waiting staff walking round. Not so much as a glance at me. Watched the buffet breakfast bar be cleared for 10 minutes then a waitress sauntered over. Her manner was the worst I’ve ever experienced whilst waiting to be seated. She could not be bothered. Never seen someone who didn’t want to be working at that moment more in my entire life. No greeting simply said ‘yes?’ ‘Have you booked?’. The place was empty yet she seemed to trawl through the system looking for one of the dozens of empty dressed tables looking for one for my party of one. She then said just sit there and pointed to a window. I asked about breakfast, she said it’s finished. Said I’d been waiting for 10 minutes. Not bothered. She proceeded to walk away after giving me no instructions about ordering or menus etc. (still stood at the ‘wait here’ sign) I gave up trying to be polite also and asked what do I do to order. ‘At the bar or app’ was the response. Just awful. Went to bar and numerous staff ignored me, a man finally asked if I was ok and took my order. Coffee was tepid at best. Asked for it to be microwaved. The waitress that brought my muffin was lovely and ticked all the boxes. Surprised me and restored a bit of faith. The muffin was delicious. Just a shame your ‘Big Welcome from James and Becca’ sign isn’t backed up by some of your staff. Easy to become complacent but the initial contact is the most important factor. Please look for new comers waiting.

All round we had a nice time. Evening meal and we went back for there breakfast

Came after a visit to fosse Park last tuesday 2nd July. Staff lovely and friendly. clean and welcoming. Just a real shame the carvery wasn't great. The masg potato had been mashed before the potatoes were cooked. My husband found a whole hard potato in his mash and it had all hard bits in the rest of it. And the roasts were all mushy in the middles wasn't enjoyable. We did gwt offered another side but we had already started eating our food and it put us off abit.

It's OK. Can't say any more or any less. The portion of meat they hand you with the carvery was pretty abysmal. Even though we paid for large. Service was OK. Again nothing to shout about. If you've got the money spare and can't be bothered to cook on a Sunday then by all means. Other then that I'd look elsewhere.

Went for a belated Father’s Day meal with my whole family everyone loved it

Been awhile since we have been here for a carvery normally spot on but today not so good the stuffing was sloppy veg hard gravy was very watery and the coice of vegetables was less this time,we did get here earlier than usual and it was very busy so the turn over of food coming out was very fast.will try again abit later next time nice staff and atmosphere.

Went to celebrate a 50th Birthday had carvery very tasty and hot service very good enjoyed our evening 👍

Booked a table for lunch waited for all to get to restaurant, then ordered waited for food after eating we looked on menu for dessert only to be told we only had 15 min as they had re-booked the table, so no dessert very disappointed 😢

The carvery and cake bundle was missing the cake. I tried ringing the restaurant but no reply. On the app. I reported the issue but missing items only allowed to report entire bundle so a refund was refused.

Food was nice and portions were large. Carvery was similar to every other carvery- so good standard. Was a little quiet for a Saturday afternoon, so atmosphere was quiet, but as such service was very good.

Just what you would expect. Good food. Polite staff. Very busy when we went - we were a large group of work colleagues so needed to sit on two separate tables. Pricing was good.

Me and my husband came in a few weeks ago and got served by Alec..he's was so lovely and attentive all the time we was there I wanted to tip him but he wasn't around when we left..but we came tonight and seen him and got served us again with the desserts..he deserves all the praise he's brill my husband tipped him tonight finally!! Totally deserved

Ordered via just eat who are refusing to refund me. The pub will not answer the phone or return voice messages. The food was disgusting and not able to be consumed; there were thick white hair in the fudge cake, the pie was that hard a knife would not go through it because it was burnt so badly, the inside was meant to be runny and was dry as it was so hard, it made a noise like a rock hitting the plate when I was filming for evidence. The vege was burnt with huge black burnt bits all over it like a thick black layer and the gravy was that thick a spoon stood up in it plus it was loaded with big thick lumps that blocked my sink. It was beyond repulsive. Avoid this place like the plague unless you wish to become unwell, I would add the photos and video but it will not let me unfortunately

The meal is burnt to bits so much so the pie is rock hard will no longer be ordering from here and I’ve ordered a lot. Absolutely awful for £20

Definitely better than Toby Carvery. Absolutely reasonable prices and portions. Tasty food and good bar. Can order non alcohol drafts beet. Highly recommend
