A little gem hidden away. Took my mum for afternoon tea. Lovely old fashion tea set already set out ( cup, saucer plate) . Linda our hostess brought out a 3 tiered plate stand. Top plate was mini cakes, doughnuts and profiteroles. Middle plate was a selection of thick crustless sliced sandwiches with hearty fillings. We had tuna, cheese with red onion, sliced tomatoes and egg some plain and some with tomato. Our bottom plate had again variety of cake two of each - good sizes Walnut ? , lemon, a slice of something sweet chocolatey with a bit of a crunch (very tasty) and scones with jam, clotted cream. And some strawberries. We were also asked if we would like tea or coffee. We chose tea and a pot was brought out. When we needed a top up, we only had to ask and another was brought out to us. Linda our hostess also checked with us that everything was fine and also gave us a doggy bag to take home what we couldn't manage, which we needed and was a lovely consideration, with us not having ask for one. The afternoon tea was very good value for money, very filling and yes we were absolutely stuffed. The staff are very friendly and cheerful. It was very relaxing we did not feel like we had rushed. It was also very clean and tidy. Even though it was cold outside, it was lovely and warm inside. Just remember it is easier to book in advance, also you can let staff know any dietary needs.

Paid a visit to use the driving range which isn't to bad some of the bays showing some wear and tear. Have to load up a card in the cafe where you can get takeaway hot and cold drinks. They also have a comprehensive breakfast menu which you can eat in their cafe area not big but sufficient, they also have a brunch menu with baked pots. Didn't have anything to eat but looked quite reasonable.

I’ve driven past many times and the signs are inviting, so my friend and I popped in for lunch. The cafe is a small area next to the golf range. Lots of tables and chairs squashed in. A basic menu of breakfasts and lunch items was available all cooked to order. I asked if they had gluten free bread to be told their really wasn’t a call for it !! The ladies were nice and the food freshly cooked. It really is just like a road side cafe, no frills.

Booked for today and where greeted warmly by friendly and polite staff. The Cheese afternoon tea was a delight with a selection of 4 cheeses warm crusty rolls sausage rolls and small quiche and then scones with jam and cream, we were given the option of tea or coffee. Nice location and will be going again and may have something different. All presented nicely and the price was very good value for what was served.

We pitched up mid morning when most were having the full English, but we had coffee and a bacon baguette with garnish; it was good.

Visited at 9.30am with my husband one morning for a quick cup of coffee. Although the place opens at 9am the coffee machine had not been switched on and therefore we had to wait until it had heated up. Also I visited the outdoor toilet which was locked so I had to go back inside for someone to come and open it. The bin in the toilet was full of used paper towels which should have been emptied the night before. Eventually, as we had waited for our coffees, we decided to have a cooked breakfast and this was really good and the staff were efficient and friendly. However, it is not good practice for a member of the kitchen staff to have to open the toilets after their work has already started in the kitchen, but they were as surprised as I was to know that the toilets were still locked at almost 10am. To summarise, the food was good and we couldn't fault the two ladies working there but the cafe shouldn't be open until everything is ready for the customers.

Stopped here for lunch. Although it was closing for two days within half hour of our arrival the staff did all they could to fulfil our menu requests with cheerful manner, despite being busy and trying to wind down. The portions were generous and the panini and jacket potato we had were delicious. Very happy with choice and hope to return.

Due to location I sometimes stop here when walking the dog through the fields. Friendly staff and convenient location, I probably wouldn't go out of my way for the food, but it not bad. In the summer months they put on a sandpit for kids.

Decided when passing to stop off for some refreshment with the wife. As time was past lunch we decided to have tea/coffee and scone. Ladies were very helpful and told us to take a seat whilst drinks were being made. When delivered nice hot cup of tea with a warm scone all very pleasant. The food menu looked very comprehensive from breakfast, rolls to cooked lunch. Very much worth a visit and by the way it is next to the driving range so if take clubs could have a bucket of balls (90 for £5) before or after refreshment.

I came here to eat with a few of my work colleagues. The ladies who welcomed us were all lovely and the amount of food you get is perfect for a bite for lunch. (I have also heard they do great afternoon tea)

I have been to Nellies Kitchen on a number of occasions for lunch and to meet up with friends. It is a good position with a nice outside area in the summer. Children are also made welcome. The food is fresh and made to order and it is very difficult to resist the home made cakes!

I visited Nellys for a full breakfast a few weeks back, was served by a really nice lady with dark hair. The breakfast was made lovely.I returned again wanting the same lovely breakfast, and was served by a grey haired lady. The egg was like rubber, the sausage white on one side, and not to mention the mushrooms swimming in oil and no tomatoes, asked the grey haired lady for the tomatoes and toast. After I watched her kiss a man on the lips (presuming it was her husband!!) she returned with the cold toast and tomatoes! By then I was too put off and not to mention disgusted by the way the breakfast was made!! Doubt I would return again!!

The day we visited the oven and pain machine were out of order. A friendly lady informed of this and was very apologetic. We decided so stay and ordered sandwiches....tuna and prawn. They were very delicious and nicely presented with a garnish and tortilla chips.

Have just had my first visit to Nellys Kitchen. I run a residential care home and took 6 elderly residents for afternoon tea. The finger sandwiches were ideal, not too big and off putting and the variety of cakes served was very good. Tea for two for just over £12 per couple was excellent value for money. The service was good, staff very pleasant and made a wonderful cup of tea.. I will definitely be returning with more of my residents. When asked if they had enjoyed themselves it was a resounding YES!!!!

Called in for lunch. Had to send our jacket potatoes back as not cooked. Coronation chicken filling dreadfully cold from fridge and pretty tasteless. 3 ladies doing nothing much. One knowing zero about hygiene and blue gloves; obviously thinks they are to keep her hands clean as she was wiping down surfaces with an old cloth and then serving food. No ambiance, no smiles, comfort levels low, not made welcome, won't be there for long. Probably why we were the only diners.

The "Kitchen" is very new and is still in pristine condition. There is outside seating for when the weather is right and from here there are lovely views across the range and adjoining fields. Everything inside is still neat and tidy with some quite nice pictures on the walls. Service and staff were quick and friendly and the prices are about the same as many other establishments. On offer is a wide range of snacks both hot and cold freshly prepared on order. Hot and cold drinks include coffees, teas, soft drinks and milk shakes. My only issue with my Latte was that it had been made with Skimmed milk which made the drink very thin and quite tasteless. I have since been advised that semi-skimmed milk will be used in the future. Nellys Kitchen is worth a visit either for morning coffee, lunchtime snack or afternoon tea, give it a try.

Well first impressions lovely and light well set out, spotlessly clean, lovely views of the driving range with seating outside if required, lots of parking. Was greeted at the door by the staff and we sat our selfs down, this is a brand new cage so was expecting some teething problems..we ordered drinks pure orange juice hot day ice would hv been a nice touch, hot chocolate was okay, latte regular no syrups available, we ordered our food the menu is very limited salads, jackets & paninis etc, from the top jacket potatoes cheese and beans ( no beans ran out ) tuna melt panini came on a huge plate with dry crisps (small garnish would hv been nice) I ordered a tuna salad which looked like it came from the 70's oval plate dry tuna, a round of bread, pile of hard grated cheese, 2 pieces of tomato & cucumber which sat on the limpest pile of lettuce, needless to say I didn't eat much of it, there was no dressing available or salad cream... So my warm orange juice came in handy..shame really was dissapointed...

We have been to this cafe a good number of times and i couldn’t recommend enough for the majority or the times we have been. However, we went this morning and the lady who was serving us (we have never seen her before) was very rude. My partner ordered a coffee and she brought over the wrong coffee, he politely asked if this could be fixed and she told him he was wrong and didn’t know about coffee (he is a fully trained barista) and then just rudely said ‘so what do u want instead then?’ all the other staff members we have met are very polite and friendly except the one we were greeted by today.

Nice little pub, was a bit busy for our first visit but luckily we had a table booked. Very first and friendly service at the bar. The price of food is a little expensive but definitely worth the price with the amount and presentation you get.
