Really fantastic food, I had forgotten my glasses ! So I explained what I like, and went with the recommended dish, Yummy, we also had the sizzling meat platter for 2 as a starter. Delicious. We will be back .

Great restaurant, friendly team and amazing food. Highly recommended. Lots of on site parking . Word is spreading and its getting much busier- don't forget to book in advance.

I've dined here 3 times since they changed from Bangla Fusion to Nellie The Elephant and each time has been fantastic. The food is so fresh and delicious, with the lovliest attentive staff. They currently have an 'indian tapas' menu in the week with 3 plates for 16 pounds, which is huge portions and great value for money. Can't wait to go back.

All dishes were sooo sweet. Not at all spicy. Really disappointed with the flavours. Not at all authentic cuisine. Probably one of the worst curries I’ve ever eaten unfortunately.

Only had a take away and the food was lovely and service was good with our order ready on time and correct. Can't comment on atmosphere as there was not many customers at 6.30 on a Thursday evening. By the look of it I am sure it will be great later in the evening. We will be trying eating in shortly. Would recommend.

Booked here for my father's 75th birthday with all the family. The place looks great and the service was brilliant. It was nice and relaxed atmosphere they did not rush us through the courses. The food was also very tasty and I would definitely recommend it.

Really good experience. Arrived at eight, restaurant was busy but staff were immediately at the table to take drinks order and offer poppadoms, these came quickly. They then waited before asking if we were ready to order. Starters came promptly, when finished staff then asked if we wanted mains to come or if we wanted some time. Mains were nicely cooked with a good amount of meat per portion and lovelysauces. Chicken and lamb were delicious as well as sizzling prawns. Staff were always checking if we needed drinks and were really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Sorry, I know it was Fathers Day but we didn’t feel valued customers. The person who took our order was disinterested in us despite trying to make conversation. The waiters were a bit chaotic and the only genuinely interested person was the older gent who was circulating. They ‘needed’ our table back despite nobody waiting and plenty of empty tables. Machine made coffee sealed their fate. Disappointed.

Took my almost 12year old grandson out for a special birthday treat, could not fault any part of the experience, food was hot and tasty. Busy with birthday parties going on but didn't detract from our own meal.

Wow! Just wow. Absolutely delicious, hot and fresh. Amazing flavours. I had a takeaway and had the Bengal Handi Special. 20% off on collection orders. This is by far the best curry I've had around here. Lovely restaurant, very friendly service, going the extra mile for their customers! Will definitely be back!

Top food and top friendly service. Worth a visit

Went for tea on Friday with the family. To be honest, we had not been before. I had read the reviews, so we thought we would give it a go. Was not disappointed at all. The service was fantastic and was made to feel really welcome and better still. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend it. The menu selection was great. Will be going back.

Went here for my birthday with family, Max the host is a credit to the place, all the staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you, food was delicious , we will definitely be back for sure and would recommend to anyone.

The atmosphere was amazing, service was impeccable and the food was to die for. You can tell there is pride in the running of the establishment and it's wonderful! Best meal I've had in months, 10/10 will be coming here again.

We absolutely love this gem. From the moment we walk through the door, we are made to feel so welcome. Max, the host is brilliant.. all the front of house staff are really attentive, professional, and friendly. They know their menu, which is refreshingly unusual for a restaurant. The food is so fragrant and fresh. By far, the finest Indian restaurant in West Lancashire.

We’ve now been about 15 times since Nellie’s have opened in Much Hoole…so far every meal was excellent! The menu is great- lots of different choices…simply beautiful! Also the staff is first class…very friendly and observant….the restaurant is very clean and provides a very warm but still fairly modern atmosphere…5 out of 5 on everything for good reasons! 🤗

Visited Sat 18th March. Very busy in the conservatory with lots of children and very noisy. The waiter was very pleasant but he didn't give us much time to sit down and wanted us to order straight away. Everyone's food was very good but I ordered a chicken kurai. It was just OK. Not enough sauce with it and quite dry. This was the first time I came out of an indian restaurant still hungry !!!

Sorry but £70 for what we ordered was too expensive won't be revisiting or recommending. £50 would have been a fair price to pay. I felt pressured into ordering food from the time we arrived at the table and the constant moving of tables annoyed me as well during our meal. The mains were expensive (at £13 to £14 each) for the amount and the quality but charging £7.00 extra for 2 pilau rice is just fleecing the customer in my opinion. Drinks no problem with the tonic water price but £4.50 for a blackcurrant and soda. To be honest better value/ quality at my local indian takeaway and better food and bigger portion sizes. I appreciate you pay for the surroundings but the toilets were leaking and not the best either. Overall not a great experience

Its a nice place to be. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the big bar on entry makes it feels like an adult establishment. It's not really got child friendly vibes. As a date night, sure. As a family event place with all ages, not so much. Whilst i enjoyed my food, i also enjoy my friend's and familys food. This was because they were not impressed by food, especially for the price. I wasn't going to let go to waste. It felt like some of the flavours had been rolled back and tamed for the local audience, which i think was a shame. Over all, youre paying to be comfortable with good food. Not for excellent food.

Great food and service in a smart restaurant

Just been for a meal at this lovely restaurant with a party of 6. Been here a few times. Was really busy tonight and the staff coped brilliantly even though they were staff down. There was a delay with some of our servings but they made us fully aware and apologised on numerous occasions, which we didn't feel was necessary. Staff are always lovely and can't do enough for you. The food was amazing, really tasty, great portions. Fantastic night to celebrate Mothers Day for our two fav gals. Top Night!

One the best meals we have had in a really long time, the food and service were exceptional. My wife said it was the best peshwari naan she has ever had.

Wow. After many curry house visits in my local area, and rarely being dissapointed, it has taken me a little while to venture out to a new one. Today say the least, this will be a common place of visit from now on. Wonderful staff with great interaction and conversation, beautiful place after the recent makeover and unbelievable food. Takes a little while to come as everything is cooked fresh - and I highly recommend lamb dishes (shashlik was out of this world) 10/10 establishment in all areas and not massively overpriced by any means. Pashwari Naan was decent, portions were pretty perfect - unlike some where oversized portions sometimes ruin the culinary experience. Can’t flaw the place to be honest.

Disgraceful...ringing the phone number many many times...so we called around to find tbe place is closed and being refurbished....surely a message can be left on the phone to allow customers to understand the situation....we live in an age of communication...

I'm sorry but I really wanted to give this place 5* but we didn't enjoy it that much. I've been years ago when I worked close by and enjoyed it alot and I loved the restaurant they opened on the moors nr Rochdale (now closed) which was fashioned on Raffles Hotel in Singapore, but unfortunately last night was a let down. The food was poor. To begin with the mixed vegetable sharing starter was soggy, the onion bargee's, aubergine pakora's, the samosas etc. Next the paneer tikka was very mild and lacked paneer, approx. 5 cubes. The salmon dish my partner had was tasty as was the rice and char-grilled onions etc., but the curry sauce that came with it lacked flavour and was too sweet. The Tarka Daal lacked salt. The naan bread was OK but a little dry, could have done with more garlic butter. Regarding the decor, it's seen better days, it's dated and shabby and the toilets are particularly grotty. It's a shame last night was it's last night before it closes down and re-openes under new management but perhaps it's time has come to an end as its needs quite a bit of money spending on it to bring it up to a standard expected today and a new menu and chef. I'm afraid we didn't leave a tip as we didn't think it deserved one and at £80 though it was overpriced for what we had. Lastly the service was slow and took around 20 minutes until we got seated.

Tuesday night at 6.30pm was never going to be buzzing but, as usual, staff were really friendly and welcoming and food always brilliant and fresh. They have a really good BBQ offer with various marinated meats, same as they serve, but uncooked for you to cook at home on the BBQ. Thought this was clever diversification and freshly made each day so if you don't use it all it's good to freeze.

It was very quite when I visited - so the host/manager had time to talk - we discussed the spice balance and the fusion element of the restaurant as well as other things. He was pleased to answer our questions and service was great. I take on-board and agree with another review about warm plates with curry and naan served to individuals - however , I sure that if you'd mentioned you want share the curries around that they would accommodate. Cirry had a good depth of flavour on the medium scale rather than hot: - this seems to be trend, curries getting milder as the palette of the nation seems to moving away from hot to mild. The decor is coastal in theme esp. with wicker furniture and bar thatch - not keen on the glass-top tables Overall a really good experience - will go back to sample more Bangladesh/Southern fusion

Overall very disappointing. Not been for a few years as service was previously terrible. So thought try it again. Initially the place is very nice and the staff friendly. The quality of the chutney selection was poor. The Mango was very thin and more like a sauce, no semblance of Mango at all. The poppadoms were v nice though. When the food came it was served on luke warm plates with all on one plate; hence the food was almost cold. When I asked why is it not in hot dishes (I know they did have flame warned ones once but most Indians have stopped this) So we had rice on one plate and peshawari naan on another with the meal. You can't really try each others or share , as no serving dishes. The peshawari naan was poor qualility with no raisins. I asked a waiter should the naan have raisins in and the answer was I don't know about peshawari naan, as I like the garlic one!! Overall not a very pleasant experience. No offer was made for redress even though most of main course was left as we could not eat it!! Felt relieved when we could pay and just get out of there Sorry Arnie but WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!

Visited with my wife and 3 boys aged 18, 15 and 11. Lovely food and the service is always excellent. 5 totally empty plates when we'd finished. It was early on Friday night so was quiet but it gets busier I imagine. People bobbing in for takeaways also if you don't fancy a sit down meal.

My husband and I came here for the first time last week. The food was incredible and the service was top notch! We had a nice chat with one of the owners, Lal, as well. He was absolutely lovely. We can't wait to go back!

Went to Bangla fusion for the first time on Saturday 2nd July 2022. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was excellent, they have a fantastic range of food on offer and a great selection of beverages. Will definitely be back.

Firstly, I am a curry addict. I have been to all the curry houses in the Preston area and nothing touches Bangla Fusion for consistently excellent food. Lal and Tops are great guys and always friendly and accommodating. I simply won't go anywhere else. My Friday treat is always from here. Amazing food and some great beers on tap. My kids love it too. I had the chicken Jalfrezi which was mild, why ? Its meant to be hot ! And it was mediocre in taste. My wife's dish was also lacking in flavour. The three dips we got with the poppadoms were chopped onions, pureed mangoes, and a runny mint dip that tasted like the mango. All in all pretty rubbish ! We are used to currys from the curry mile in Manchester and the meal we had here was substandard. Sorry to say this but, they will not be getting our business again.

Excellent food, nice service, pleasant atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Went for NYE at 5:30 so it was early enough for the kids. We got our main course at 7:50 and when it came they forgot one meal. By this point 3 tables had already walked out after waiting so long and if it wasn't for the kids being hungry we'd gone too. Prioritised take outs over table customers and when we complained all we got was "we're really busy we're trying as hard as we can ". Food was average and will not be returning.
