Nazim in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Ordered from these twice recently and both times it took over 2 hours to be delivered. Also tried phoning to find out what was going on and when i finally got them to answer they hung up the phone (both occasions) Wont be using again - would recommend Curry Inn or Yak and yeti

Just horrid, Nothing was cooking when I picked up, all microwaved poor quality produce. Bland congealed fatty meat, no sauce and the wrap just fell to bits! Will not be back

Absolutely shocking service. Took our order online having confirmed they deliver to our area. Phoned to confirm the details and then one hour before we get a phonecall. Are you on holiday? What difference that made I still don't know. It's our busiest time so can you meet us halfway..eh no. Why do you advertise that you deliver when you actually don't 🤔. He insisted they do. Long and short of it is if you are over Tregony Bridge give this a miss they really do not deliver. Never seen anything like it🤬

When Nazims first opened they were the best around, they had such good flavour. However the past 6 months or so the standard has really gone down hill, its really not the worst iv had but definitely not anything to rave about.

Nazim offer a delivery service which was woeful. I ordered online for delivery and was given an ETA of between 60 mins and 90 mins. In fact it took nearly 3 hours. Absolutely shocking the service. Will never order from there again.

I would love to comment on the service but all I can say is I have not been able to contact the restaurant, My order is nowhere to be seen; Phones are off and looking at the mouldy food other people have posted and the cucumber in "special white sauce" that looks appalling I am kind of glad I haven't received my order! Not to mention the extortionate prices and delivery fees... Terrible take-away / "restaurant".

We ordered a takeaway and 10 mins before they were due to deliver, and an hour and a half after waiting they called to say the steak was out of stock! We then went there and they offered us a refund so we agreed. They said we might as well have what had been cooked. The refund never appeared. This is not the first time either!! We tried to order another time and the food turned up at 11pm after we had gone to bed!!!! DON'T OFFER DELIVERY IF YOU CAN'T MEET THE DEMAND!! PS You still owe us £40!!!!!!!!

We could not eat that food even though we were so hungry. Everything was terrible and ended up in a bin. We will never go back to this place.

Guide time of 45 mins this turned into 90mins I don't mind waiting longer if the food is worth the wait this really wasn't. The chicken was a mixture of cooked and raw which is totally unacceptable, the Keema naan was dry and had meat about the size of a postage stamp in it. The onion bhajis were tasteless and dripping in grease. I did call them they said the chickens all pre cook and the rest there is fine no sorry, customer service none existant. This place was originally very good these days the are taking the money and delivering a bag of expensive sh#t!

Very poor food quality average delivery time very poor food was cold items missing when I called I was offered a refund for missing items half my dinner why would I want that redelivered missing items cold again would not recommend would never use again not even a call to apologise if it was my business I would call to find out where I was going wrong

Having ordered a near £100 takeaway curry for 4 including a £12 delivery fee I was expecting something half decent. Over two hours later, items missing and very average food, we were more than disappointed. They say they were busy etc but that's really not my problem. They could have turned the order down, but they tool my money. Would recommend trying any local alternative before calling these guys.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Absolutely useless!!! Ordered through there app at 7pm after 90mins!! 90 mins!! Tried calling, to get no answer at all!!! Ended up driving to them after 2 hours of waiting and trying to call thinking maybe it's closed....... NO THEY ARE OPEN!!! Tell me it's been too busy so they turned the phone off!!! Probably everyone phoning to find out where their orders are!!

Absolutely shocking. Ordered online. 1 hour wait time. When order was 20 mins late called only to be told it would be another hour as driver was in newquay. Order cancelled.

The mixed grill box for two absolutely amazing.. got to say one of the best take aways in ages. Ordered on line they rang to check order delivered spot on time.. loads of food.. Previously have had the mega burger on another occasion again fab..

Fab - after waiting 3 hours from another take out, we called Nazim instead. They were here within 30 minutes, food was all piping hot, naan breads were really tasty and they threw in some extras too which was a nice surprise! Thank you

This place is not good the food is terrible tasteless, you can get a better takeaway from a supermarket. We had to throw it in the bin what a waste of money

Staff are very friendly , delivery is fast and food is always delicious. I always go for a karma. Parter loves the dansak! Always our go to :)

Ordered a lockdown kebab. I would say it was about a 2/10. The description of a 'fusion kebab' was so misleading. My lamb shish kebab was so unbelievableably bland. Also, if you order a kebab from another Truro kebab shop two doors up from nazim you at least get the option to choose your salad or add a sauce. I ordered it thinking my kebab would have lush Indian spices, instead it was dry an old boot and I wish I actually had an option to add a sauce. This is the second time I've had this and I am no longer going to give Nazim the benefit of the doubt.

Ordered food from these guys and they charged an extra £7 for delivery without mentioning it on the phone Then when phoned back - couldn’t care less Beware The food was also terrible and the meat was old

I ordered a peri peri chicken, It was old, presumably from earlier today or even from yesterday. You should be ashamed of this food. You should close.

Delicious!! Thought i was on the wrong page - not sure where those last reviews came from.. this is the best food I’ve had and I’ve travelled a lot! All of my family thought the same - not a one off, it’s my fourth take away from Nazim’s it’s restaurant quality, lovely flavour! We will be ordering from Here again ! Thanks.. came quicker than expected and delivery driver polite. Can’t ask for more I think this is the best in Truro! Thanks again.

Bland, tasteless, beige slop. Very small portions. Arrived 90 minutes late and had to pay £8 delivery charge. How this got a 5 from some people I can't imagine. Obviously never had a curry anywhere else. This was absoltley the worst swill I've ever had and could have got the whole excuse for a meal on a bap. Never again! Never ever again!

Just had a delivery, it is dry and tasteless with the most watery korma and the driest tikka masala, the routa sauce is not edible and had spilt over all meals, never ever again. Not worth £5 never mind what we paid

avoid at all costs. Rude, inconsiderate, sneaky extra charges for delivery. Had to resolve through just eat. Would not use again

Absolutely appalling service and requested additional delivery fees on top of a delivery fee already paid - absolutely do not book through JustEat, they obviously have issues with delivery set up. Terrible attitude to complaint handling, aggressive and left us without food at 9.30pm and did not cancel our order and had to resolve through JustEat! Furious and a complete hassle!

My daughter and I recently had a takeaway from Nazim; a chicken biryani and a lamb passanda. While the food was very tasty, there were only 6 small pieces of lamb in the passanda, not much in the way of chicken either;very disappointing. We have previously had food from Nazim and have had reasonable portions, let's hope that was a one-off - we'll give them another chance but if it happens again we won't go there again. I'd like some lamb with my passanda next time!!

Ordered for delivery. Arrived an hour late. Food was cold. Part of the order missing. Portions tiny. Could have got the jalfrezi in-between 2 slices of bread. This is without doubt the worst food I have ever had. Never again. How they have a good write up from some people I don't know. All I can think is that you've never had a proper curry or you work there. Horrible food. Bland, tasteless, beige crap is all you're going to get. On top of all that it's very pricey and £8 delivery charge. Go elsewhere and save being utterly disappointed. I wish there was a zero score of even minus because this place would be there.

In our opinion, this is the best Indian takeaway in Truro. We always get our curries from here and have never had a bad experience. The team are very friendly too.

These guys are spending thousands supporting the NHS offering us free meals every Wednesday. Most amazing generous and kind gesture in these difficult times. We’ve enjoyed numerous tasty curries on our ward now and we are all so very grateful to you. Thank you

Waited just over an hour and a half and its without doubt the worst take away weve ever had... lost just over £30 for 2 burned small chicken burgers that had the wrong ingredients ordered, they had cabbage instead of lettuce and banana fritters that were cold with a random strawberry flavoured icecream when we ordered chocolate. Please dont offer things if you dont have them.. the only quality thing was the packaging but i would of rather a paper bag and better food than uneditable food in nice boxes. Unfortunately we will eat elsewhere in future. Delivery driver was pleasant, the £30 we paid you should go to him. We binned the food and ordered from Xen which we should of done in the first place..

£70.00 + food delivery via my duaghter as a suprise birthday meal during lockdowndelivery time eta 7:40 pm arrived at 8:30 stone cold, if the order was complete that might of been a bonus missing 2 salads no sauce and a chocolate slice...didnt realise that when you order a kabab they just toss in the pitta not sliced or even open to place the do it your self kabab.... if you live in town im sure its good but other than that dont waste your time or money ...Rustler burger from the garage is probably a better bet quicker and easier still taste the same id imagine only hotter

Victim of its own success!!!Sadly Nazim has crashed from outstanding to bitterly disappointing. This is the second time we have ordered a take away for it to late and to have food missing. The food used to be fantastic and now it is less than average. Very sad! We will not be ordering here again.

The food from Nazim is always brilliant but over the last three occasions that we have ordered a delivery from them, they have been really late which is really frustrating. Rating would be a 5 if they could get there timings right.

Having previously ordered from Nazim and thought it to be of great value for the portion sizes, I was delighted to see a post saying they were very kindly providing NHS staff with a full meal today. The staff were quick to respond and were very friendly, and to top it all off the curry was one of the best ones I've had in a while... I shall definitely be ordering from Nazim again. Thanks again guys!

Thank you so much for the lovely gesture of providing a meal to NHS staff this evening, it was so needed after a long day. It was really well organised that I could drive up within social distancing and receive a meal that was delicious and freshly cooked. Thank you once again the meal was so tasty, I shall be back.

Being valentine's, we decided to treat ourselves to a well overdue takeaway on Justeat. Having known the people who own the restaurant and had one of the best takeaways when it first opened, Hope's were high for the new grill side of the business. We were sadly mistaken.The initial order estimate was an hour and a half, we had ordered prime time on valentine's day - you expect it. But when the time scheduled came and passed, I chased to be told it would be another 30 minutes. 30 minutes passed, I called the restaurant - the employee told me my adress before I'd told him my name, and told me it had left the store 10 minutes prior (I live approx 15 minutes walk, or a 5 minute drive from the restaurant). Another 20 minutes passed, I called again - dug my heels in a little more this time, it was 22:40 and we were hungry - much confusion in the background to be told our order slip had fallen on the floor and it would be made immediately and delivered. I told them to cancel the order, and before hanging up the phone, the very apologetic gent offered us the same order 15th February on the house to make up for it.Tonight comes, I try and ring Nazim for a good 30 minutes to be greeted each time with either an engaged tone or a never ending ring out. I resulted to going online to place the order - nothing in the box about the issues last night and our agreement; order placed and immediately rejected. I called the restaurant to discuss, the answer immediately and I explain who I am, and the response I got was to be hung up on. I called back assuming human error to be treated the same again.This place clearly has some issues and judging by the other reviews recently, won't be in business long in a small city with plenty of competition.

My husband and I wanted to give this a try as it's valentines day we treated ourselves. It arrived and we was missing our poppadoms and drink we plated the food for me to take the mint sauce and sit down the mint sauce is mouldy and stinks. Not impressed at all and definitely won't be returning. Put us off wanting to eat our food but being half past 10 at night we're hungry after the hour and a half wait for our food. Let's hope we don't get food poisoning along with it. Food was full of grease too very very oily. It's a no from us.

Me and a friend popped in for a latte night takeaway as we heard they had just gotten a late licence. They have a different menu for late night but that does not take away from the quality. The service was great and the staff were eager to explain the dishes. Great food and amazing service. We will be returning!

Ordered food at 5. Email stated delivery would be made at 1845. 2151 still waiting. Severe phone calls. Same bullcrap. Driver always on his way will be ten minutes. Shame as food is normally great.

Ordered the set menu from this place as a takeaway delivery, it was missing the drink, poppadoms and the chutneys. Not only that but the driver told me he had no change (was going to tip anyway). By the time I had noticed back in my room the app wouldn't let me complain. It was a Monday as well so it's not like they were even busy most likely. It's a shame because the food here is nice but definitely came across like they were trying to get away with giving less than advertised.

I love a good Curry and have been faithful to the same curry house in Truro for a long time, decided to give Nazim ago as couldn't be bothered to walk to other end of town and I was walking past.Ordered a Chicken Dansak which tasted completely different to my usual place but it was fantastic, Wife had a chicken Balti and again this was really good, portions good size and nan breads also soft fluffy and a good size.In my opinion now have two really good curry houses in Truro.

Had Nazim delivered and was a short time waiting on delivery, great service from the driver and the food was incredible. Will defintaly be eating from here more often.

Lots of Indians around but this ones definitely top of my list for a take away.. if only they had a restraunt I have acid reflux and find many take aways to contain too much fatty oils etc which cause me a bad night, not this one.. thumbs up from me.. fantastic flavours

We ordered a variety of dishes for us and friends all was very tasty I definitely recommend you pay a visit to this indian takeaway there was 4 of us and plenty to go around, will definitely be ordering again when back down that way as bit of a long way for it to be delivered to Blkackpool

We ordered a wide range of dishes for four of us last night, which were delivered on time. Every single one was delicious, it made for a really fantastic meal. We'll definitely order from here again!

I was passing by nazim with a friend and decided to go for some indian one night. Unfortunately the souce in my chicken korma was watery, the entire dish was cold, sadly i had to throw it all in the bin...

Fantastic food (live the naga chicken every time!) and fastest time I’ve ever been told to collect a curry. Often no more than 30-40 minutes for a party 6+! Haven’t been anywhere else since this place opened and always recommending!

My husband and I always order the set menu for 2 and it is brilliant! So tasty and very good value for money in my opinion. It is a great way to try different flavors and has something for everyone. We would never order from anywhere else now.

Just been to Nazims Indian takeaway in Truro I had the best chicken phall ever. The coconut rice was so fluffy, will I go again absoulutly yes 5 ☆

Ordered for delivery came almost 20mins late and one dish was incorrect (chicken, but we ordered lamb, and no response to email notifying them of the mistake) Ordered 5 dishes some of us really enjoyed, and others were underwhelmed. Doubt we would order again.

Won’t be going back, never seen food so red or worhso much sugar in, was more like having a dessert. King prawns were more like baby prawns

If you like frozen veg and reconstituted meat the nazim is the place for you. Terrible diced meat and frozen veg with a tasteless curry does not make a meal especially for £40 per couple save your money and go to McDonald’s probably more taste. Have always gone to Gangees but thought we would give nazim a try what a mistake

The foods full on vibrant colours and flavour and offers a ride variety. I can honestly say this is the best curry I’ve had and I’ve been to many of places! Would highly reccomend this!

just had another top notch meal from Nazim good value friendly people hope they keep up this super standard recommend giving it a try ....must mention the plastic containers again need to use something else not good for environment

Always lovely service and great tasting food. Cooked fresh to order. My children love the Korma and the pilau rice. Always try something different.

Everyone at Nazim is super friendly. You can even watch them cooking in the kitchen.Having been four times now it’s starting to become a bit of a regular curry choice for us. Also had my dad round recently and he loved it too.All the menu classics plus some interesting specials.Everything is really fresh tasting and the aromas are amazing.

I have just tried nazim tonight and I wish I had done it earlier not only was the customer service impeccable the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD I’ve never had such a good authentic idian in Cornwall I will be telling everoyone I know to try this place. Thank you so much guys.

after our regular Indian takeaway started letting us down we thought we would try Nazim for the first time a new takeaway in town and I have to say it was excellent was back to proper Indian cooking with plenty of flavor well cooked and plenty of it thoroughly recommend it hope they keep up this level of quality ..just a small point guys you need to stop using plastic containers not good for the planet but excellent grub.

Haven’t trusted a delivery Indian near me for years. The food tonight from Nazim was outstanding I will most definitely be coming back, thanks for restoring my faith xx

Ordered online, service was well within the time they stated and one of the best curry’s I’ve had in Truro for a long time. Highly recommended.

First visit to to this takeaway tonight and we were really impressed. We have struggled with finding excellent Indian food in Cornwall but will not struggle anymore. The food was freshly cooked and vibrantly spiced with a real depth of flavours.
