Nazar Restaurant & Takeaway in Hackney

WELL STREET SURPRISE Visiting the street the other day, I was delighted to see that this restaurant had re-opened which the owners told me was due to a serious flood in their basement. I opted for a chicken wrap and must say that it was as good as before they were forced to close. The meat was succulent and tasty and the salad and vegetables freshly chopped, crispy and crunchy. The home made chilli was was incredible!! This is a family run restaurant and they make everything fresh each day. I would recommend trying it as I don't think you will be disappointed.

After a brief hiatus glad to see it’s reopened. Such a gem the good is always great and good value. Couldn’t recommend more.

Food was hot, cooked well and excellent service

Such a shame to write this as I’ve ordered a few times previously and the food was fine. This time around the near was far from fresh, considering I ordered a platter I only received a small salad. The salad doesn’t matter but I’m afraid the meat definitely wasn’t up to a decent standard.

Salt your ribs more! Otherwise pretty outstanding thanks ✌

My favourite kebab shop for miles! Always so fresh and delicious. We had the mixed kebab and everything was perfect. And I love their new cupcakes too, absolutely amazing!

I have a ordered after reading the reviews but I am confused as to how anyone can give this food more than 1 star. The food so over cooked to the point where it was like eating a sand paper. After trying few bites of each, we couldn’t eat and had to throw it in the bin. The lamb chops did not look or taste like any lamb chop I ever had before, huge piece of fat on it and burned.Even the two piece of bread that came with the meal was stale. Will not be ordering again, waste of £27. The only good thing was bottle of drink that came with the food and the delivery boy, who was polite.

I really enjoy the food at Nazar, it’s a lovely family run establishment and the family always put in hard work to have meals fresh and tasty! I can honestly say in all the years I have eaten from there I’ve never had an issue with the food... I always order a Nazar special and it’s delicious.

The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so friendly. I 100% recommended!!

lamb chops were overcooked which meant they were dry, mostly fatty and those bits wish could be eaten were very chewy, to the extent that we had to give up on them as we just couldn't eat them

Nazar never disappoints! lovely fresh kebabs, will definitely be ordering again soon.

Order incomplete, not the 1st time!! Tried to call restaurant, the 1st time they left the phone on the side so I could hear them working for 20mins, the 2nd time I was told they were to busy!!🤬🤬

ordered from here before. The food was tasty, and hot. my only issue was that i keep receiving sauces that we have not asked for, which end up in the bin. I asked for a different drink, but that request was not taken on board, no one drinks this, and i can't give it to anyone else.

Kebabs were delicious but the cake was stale and inedible

Have ordered from here twice now and food has been good both times. Generous portions, nicely seasoned and cooked and not oily/greasy. Delivery drivers are friendly which is a plus. Would recommend!

The food was delicious. I tried the lentil soup for the first time and love it. I enjoyed the kebab too. Nice fresh salad.

Really nice food, we had the nazar special grill and it was excellent value. Good portions and very tasty.

Food still excellent but really upset about the way it’s now wrapped... why no metal boxes anymore?! I received my ribs and kebab swimming in grease.... fries wrapped in paper that was obviously totally wet soaked with that grease.. so yeah quite disappointing to receive an order absolutely full of grease juice.. :(

food arrived hot, it was very tasty, only issue cheese burger came with no cheese, didn't bother to call, as couldn't wait to eat, and didn't want food to get cold. Also, only asked for garlic sauce, but they still sent other sauces which were not requested because no one likes them.

I made a mistake I pressed collection instead of delivery. Staff said maybe abit of wait due to alot of orders . It was my thought after a tiring day at work. Though did not wait long. Plus delivery driver very pleasant too. Food is great.

Estábamos en la zona para una fiesta y necesitábamos una comida rápida. En un primer vistazo a Nazars, no se ve mucho para el mundo, y para ser honesto, esperábamos un lugar clásico de kebabs. Sin embargo, cuando conseguimos nuestra comida estábamos en shock, ¡fue absolutamente delicioso! Los ingredientes frescos cocinados con mucho cuidado, amor y propietario fueron increíblemente amables. Tuvimos un plato vegetariano en pan de pita con salsa de tomate, yogur, etc. y fue una de las mejores comidas que he probado en el Reino Unido (restaurantes de gama alta en la ciudad incluidos). Definitivamente recomendaría a cualquiera en el área para probarlo!

Me encantan las alitas de pollo y este lugar es de lejos el mejor que he comido. Cariñosamente cocinado sobre carbón y chamuscado para tener una corteza maravillosa en el exterior y bien cocida pero aún húmeda en el interior. Sí, cuestan más que otros, pero la vida es demasiado corta para comer mal. Vienen con tomates a la parrilla y pimiento verde. Un poco de pan para limpiar los jugos es esencial. También probé sus kebabs, estos tipos saben cocinar y no cortar esquinas.

Both the chicken & lamb doners were both burnt, I've never experienced a restaurant deliver burnt doner, EVER! So disgusting it all went in the bin!!!! We ordered hummus & received no bread, was we supposed to eat the hummus with a spoon or what?!?

Chicken shish was dry and rather tasteless rice was abit hard,chips were over cooked,doner meat and pitta were ok.

The garlic sauce was missing, but the guys were really friendly and they delivered it straight away, once they realised. Thank you.
