We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around the old town. It’s near the swing bridge on Grape Street Small menu so we tried most of it - everything we had was great. Loved the kimchi dumplings and the sushi. The bowl of delight which I forget the name of was delicious as was the sweet chilli chicken. All freshly cooked and tasty! We will return to try what we missed!! It was very reasonably priced, friendly service and can’t recommend enough.

I used to occasionally drink in this pub many years ago before the current owner took over and was interested to try the food. Three of us had the Burger which was good with some pulled brisket on top of the beef patty. I personally thought the patty itself was a little dry, although our sons thought it was fine. Very nice smoky taste. Chips were very good. My wife had the Goan sea food curry which had a quite intense taste (I tasted a little sauce and really enjoyed it). She really enjoyed it. I am personally not keen on seafood or it would definitely have been my choice on a future visit. Only my youngest son was able to eat the desert as we were all very full, he had the Chocolate ganache of which I also tasted a little. We both thought it was excellent. Staff very efficient and friendly. We would be happy to go again.

We accidently discovered this cafe while hunting around Whitby for something more "homely". The staff were very accommodating for our party of 7. They ensured we got seated and looked after us all the step of the way. The food was plentiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection that suited both adults and children. If you want to avoid the mass of marauding tourists and seaguls. Take a stroll up the hill to Stokers.

My wife and I visited after seeing a sign scribbled on a chalk board during the day. It's an innovative little pop-up based in the vaults under Scarborough Market Hall, where there are craft and vintage shops by day. Manned by owner Paul who is very knowledgeable and chatty, we were treated to some superbly kept wines in a quietly informal atmosphere. It's a far cry from the hoi-polloi and bustle of Scarborough drinking holes, and one which must be prized. Top work, we'll be back.
