Empezaré diciendo que nunca volveremos a visitar este restaurante. He tenido mejor servicio y comida en los establecimientos de Su Majestad. Servicio impactante y hosco, esperamos 45 minutos para que llegara nuestra comida, y éramos los únicos en el restaurante. No hay atmósfera en absoluto, en una etapa la música se subió a todo volumen, soplando nuestros oídos. Tomé el estofado de ternera con arroz, era casi comestible, y la ternera era toda de carcoma. Espero que fuera carne de res, nada me impactaría en este lugar. Nunca más, evita como la plaga.

No demasiado feliz. La comida pedida para la entrega tomó casi 2 horas. La mayor parte del pedido faltaba o estaba mal. Pedimos 2 platos individuales, patatas fritas y alitas. Que debe ser cabra al curry, pollo en el hueso, arroz, plátano y ensalada de col con las patatas fritas y las alitas. Lo que recibimos fue 1 bote de cabra al curry, 1 porción de alguna forma de pollo, gambas y 1 porción de papas fritas. Ni siquiera ligeramente lo que pedimos y no pudimos comer las gambas como no puede comer mariscos. Cuando te llamen, la señora acaba de decir que la próxima vez que me llames dímelo y te daré algo gratis. No hay detalles tomados así que no hay manera de saber quiénes somos cuando llamar de nuevo. Para un pedido de £ 50 para recibir algo apenas suficiente para 1 persona y luego ser follada es una broma! No me malinterpretes, lo que pudimos comer sabía muy bien. (un poco frío, pero dado lo mucho que la entrega tomó es de esperar) Pero hacer un pedido equivocado en ese punto es ridículo. Entonces, sólo para robarnos.

Esperaba mucho dejar una buena crítica aquí, pero tanto estaba mal. Entramos a las 7 pm. Tomó un tiempo solo para obtener el menú, luego algún tiempo antes de que pedimos. Nuestra comida fue entregada a nuestra mesa a las 8 pm. ¡Una hora entera antes de comer! Nuestro pedido estaba incompleto, así que tuve que esperar de nuevo. Una verdadera pena ya que es un lugar agradable, buena decoración y buena música. La comida estaba bien, pero no era lo que esperaba. Dudo que volviéramos a visitar.

Visited on a Sunday evening, service was very poor. Slow, not helpful and mostly stood around on their phone. Example being I got up to pay and stood at the till for minutes before being noticed. Both the other 2 customers had been served and were eating when we arrived yet it still took 20 minutes for our food. Which was bland, seen the positive reviews of the goat curry so I went for it. Just meat in gravy, no heat, no spice and no flavour. Full of bone with small sharp shards mixed in. Jollof rice was just tomato rice, again bland and no spice or anything. No sides served with a burger either. Soda was served in a can to the table. Utter disappointment all in all. To the extent I'm writing a bad review, it wasn't average. It was bad!

The food was OK, but the bill was more than what we ordered; it was incorrect billing. When I asked for an itemised bill, I never got one, and it was just blank, which said: previous balance and drinks. I asked what this previous balance was but got no proper answer. We paid 30% more than what we had. Disappointed!!

Food was delicious, chicken and flavoured rice was cooked to perfection. We then ended with juicy spiced prawns.very good value for money, highly recommended.

Yeah this place is legit! Delicious food (even for vegetarians and vegans). They featured a varied menu with traditional dishes. Vegan/ vegetarian options. Plenty of sides and good selection of drinks. Great atmosphere with lively music. Brilliant service. The food was very quick to come out. 100% recommend getting some Jollof rice here as well. I highly recommend coming here if you enjoy food cooked with love and filled with soul!

Food had missing item, pounded yam and the quantity of soup is so less for 15 pounds. so all I got was some soup with 4 pieces of meat in it out of which 1 was just a bone. Delivery time had no issues but not happy with the food for the money spent.

Didn't get what we ordered and felt overpriced for the meagre servings we received. The food is good, though. I had a much better experience dining at the restaurant than I did with the delivery.

My son and I were looking for some delicious African food 😋, I googled Nativ restaurant before arriving to Bournemouth for our holiday. The food was well cooked, tasty I just couldn't stop eating, my Son also finished all his food, I was very impressed. They really take their time to cook the food, up to perfection 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾😋😋😋😋

I was so excited to try the food from this place after many years, but unfortunately, the front-of-house staff member showed no interest in assisting me. I had ordered a meal through Too Good to Go and drove 40 minutes to collect it. Arriving on time, I swiped 'ready to collect' on the app just before reaching the front of the queue. The lady working there abruptly informed me, 'we can't do that.' Instead of trying to understand the situation, she simply ignored me. I explained that this was my first time using the app and that it instructed me to swipe when I was ready to collect.

She then told me she needed to ask her manager. I waited as she attended to someone else then told me that she couldn't help and continued to ignore me, even though I showed proof of swiping 0.5 seconds before talking to her! I reached out to Too Good to Go, and they confirmed that I should swipe when I am physically at the restaurant and ready to collect.. The issue was that the lady showed no concern and didn't even offer me an alternative option, considering the distance I had travelled. I don’t think I would like this if she had done that. She just ignored me and went about her day. I felt that she looked down on me as if I was some dodgy person trying to claim a free meal. RUDE!

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. I've visited 3 times. The food is good, but I have had shocking service from disgusting customer service. On my most recent visit, I had to take a deep breath and simply try to see the funny side (my partner was craving their food, else I'd have walked out). The service was potentially the most incompetent that I've ever seen in a restaurant. I simply wanted to know what the "dishes of the week", referenced on the menu, were. This turned out to be a remarkable ordeal, with trips to the kitchen to check, and my having to politely phrase the question in as many fashions as I possibly could, along with eventually speaking to another waitress. The waitress also kept disappearing, mid conversation, to attend to her superior. This ruined the experience, and I would not return, despite the tasty food. I don't know that I've ever been treated with such disdain as a customer. Truly disgusting staffing.

We went over lunch hour. The place only had a few people. We were seated in the restaurant but after that no one showed up with menus or to take our orders. Place seems to have only 2 members of staff. I had a hungry baby with me so I had to get up place my order at the bar. The young man serving was very pleasant and polite however clearly overwhelmed as he was busy packing orders for take away serving customers and even in charge at the bar! The order took more than 45 mins to arrive and it was a simple order of 1 buffet plate and wings and fries. The wings were so small not the usual sized and not as tasty as expected. The fries were such a meager portion and that even for £5! Buffet plate was okay though food was not hot at all. The drink which we asked for repeatedly which is sprite they didn't have yet I was not told this when placing the order and settled on another soda which again as not even served as we waited for the delayed food. Considering where this restaurant is located (at the high Street among other Greater restaurants) it will be overtaken by other greater food places as we tried food from another restaurant later in the evening and the quality of food there plus service was excellent compared to this place. Please do something about the service and food quality.

The service was a but slow. But very friendly staff

From entering the premises we were made to feel unwelcome, bearing in mind I was with my 12 and 16 year old daughters. I was trying to order a platter with 2 sides. I asked a couple of questions regarding the food to the response "ill just bring you something" The sides bought out to us were 2 portions of rice, when there was an array of choice of which I was never given the time to order. We ordered chips that were bought to us after the meal had been finished and what we did have the portions were very small seeing as this is a platter for 4! Dirty looks and side eyes were also given. My daughters felt very intimidated and I am furious. I will not visit again and strongly advise other not to do so.

As a Nigerian you understand when I say, the food bang!

I have had the Jerk Chicken wings there. I ordered a big plate with 12 Chicken Wings for 12 Pound. Well - the wings were sooo small - i think, i have never seen such small chicken wings... there was almost no meat on it. And it was not Jerk - it was a soupy like sauce, with could not even attach to the wings. And not hot at all... i was a bit disappointed because of All that. I could have eaten like 50 wings more, to get full. The staff was really nice, but the price for These wings is just way too much...

I almost had forgotten how great Nativ's goat curry is! There's nothing like it!

The meal deal set is sooooooo good Is very cheap but the food quality is high way higher than £5. And the chips are crispy that is the only crisp chips I have eat in UK. The spicy rice mix with the BBQ sources is perfect it balance the spice and sweet.

Delicious food for good price if you are patient with the slow service.

food not delivered for over 2 hours then when it came was stale chicken

Bought £5 TGTG bag that suppose to be worth £15 of food..well.. Sadly I was given same food I had for a lunch time (£5!) after which I wanted to give it another chance. The place failed twice. Not recomend

The best food I have eaten in months! Ordered from the lunch buffet meal deal. Wait time was relatively long (although this is specified on the menu), but was definitely worth the wait. The chicken was tender and flavoursome whilst the jollof rice and other sides were equally tasty. Additionally, I ordered the plantain and fried dumplings, the latter being my personal favourite.

Ordered a simple salad for takeaway and had to wait 45 mins into the shop for them to prepare whilst I waited in the shop. Two customers came after me and got their orders before hand. Didn’t see any delivery drivers, so was a very quiet evening. Judging by the other reviews, looks like this is a normal occurrence for them. Food is average and not worth the wait at all.

En realidad visitamos este restaurante dos veces durante un fin de semana de escapada con amigos. Primero, tomé la sopa de okra que me envió a todo un mundo de sabores jajaja. La sopa de okra era fresca, crujiente y sabrosa con la cantidad correcta de patada de especias. La sopa estaba caliente, pero no demasiado caliente, lo que le permitió saborear el sabor del plato. Visitamos el restaurante una vez más en nuestro camino a la estación de tren de vuelta a Londres. La mayoría de nosotros tenía la opción de llevar. Todavía era el estándar habitual. Esta vez tomé el buffet de arroz jollof y unos bollos. Otra gran observación es el ambiente limpio 👌. El piso estaba limpio y no había manchas de polvo en los muebles. El personal era muy amable. ¿Gritarle al Chef Paul? El gurú del okra No estoy seguro de su nombre 🤔 Aunque tengo una crítica constructiva. Creo que se necesita más personal, ya que me di cuenta de que la joven en la caja tenía que hacer muchas tareas cuando estaba ocupado, por lo tanto, ralentizando el servicio. Se necesitan más manos. Todavía di un 5 estrellas como se lo merecen.

Very horrible food. Only the swallow and Malt was ok. The Okro had not a drop of oil no seafood no cray fish and the fish wasn't even scaled. Absolutely atrocious and at 50 quid I would have had some really nice food. Mtcheeeew never again! No wonder the place only had 1 customer when we arrived. And when we left no one in site. Horrible experience horrible place DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Bought a Too good to go bag. It was £5 reduced from £15. We were expecting to get £15 worth of food but didn't even get £5 worth. 1 chicken leg and half a take away container if cold rice. We would've got better value for money if we'd bought something full price from the restaurant.

I'm very disgusted with service i've waited and STILL WAITING!!!, for my delivery even though it says delivered I checked outside nothing, it's a disgrace, I love nativ so nothing on them, but i'm angry as the driver stole my order

ALLERGY SUFFERERS BEWARE! It’s tricky because it was my fault for not asking. The food is beautiful, service and staff are absolutely fantastic! Can’t fault them. Gorgeous restaurant and genuinely such kind and lovely staff! However, we got some dishes to takeaway which were supposedly free from peanuts. If I’m not wrong, only one or two of their dishes contain peanuts. Again COMPLETELY MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING (ironically it was the first time I hadn’t checked in years!). My partner went into anaphylaxis from peanut contamination when we ate our food at home and we had to call an ambulance out. I want to repeat - THIS IS NOT NATIVS RESPONSIBILITY AS I DID NOT INFORM THEM OF THE ALLERGY!! I just assumed it would be safe which was wrong of me, so I take full responsibility but this is a warning to other allergy sufferers to please state your allergy clearly to staff to ensure this doesn’t happen to you too. We wrongly assumed that dishes without peanuts (jollof rice and chicken) would be safe but something went wrong and it resulted in a slightly dramatic ambulance call out. STILL 4 STARS BECAUSE AGAIN - NOT NATIV’S FAULT! But I felt it was important to warn others with allergies.

Hello have not gotten my order and why is it saying delivered?? I just called the restaurant and was told the order is still with them.

I was recommended this place by a work colleague and decided to try it for my birthday. During the reservation process they asked if it was a special occasion (there is no point of this as nothing happens). Our reservation was at 7:30pm we were 10 minutes late (tried to call but there was no answer). Our table was not ready so we had to wait another 20 minutes before we were seated. We were an hour and 15 minutes into the night before we got 1 drink despite ordering 2. It was an hour and 45 minutes before we got our food. The pepper goat despite being asked to be mild (as it states on the menu to specify the heat level) was inedible for my partner. The okro soup was ordered with both meat and fish and came with fish alone. Overall it was very poor service as we sat there watching dozens of online orders being filled wondering if we were going to eat tonight. The whole ordeal (on my birthday no less) was disappointing and there was no remorse from staff for the unacceptable waiting time and substandard service.

Delicious food, but the restaurant is small

I’m a harsh critic at the best of times but I have to say I have been blown away. Absolutely delicious food. The amount of flavour in the chicken suya is out of this world. Maybe could’ve asked for a fresher bbq sauce so that could have been better as was a bit luke warm but overall very tasty and good value for money. I will be back

I never received my order, and I was charged. I ordered pepper soup, jollof rice, and Edika-ikong soup yesterday via Just-Eat. I waited and waited for the order, only for me to see the order updated to ‘Delivered’. Now, I am replying to the restaurant's below. What do you mean by "I have seen you as a soft target" when I clearly didn't receive my order? Would I have ordered food from you if I didn't have a good motive??

food was very underwhelming. it wasnt bad but that is NOT Caribbean cooking. i ordered Rice and chicke. The rice was bland and just salty. The chicken was in in gravy sauce but again nothing like Caribbean cooking. Big let down really. this is NOT Caribbean cooking.

Don’t bother coming here if you want any service. Sat for 20 minutes and wasn’t even offered a drink or offered to take our order, on a quiet Saturday night. They seemed more interested in takeaway orders. We walked out

Don't bother coming if you want to actually eat. Waited 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us when we'd sat down. Instead I went to the bar to ask if I had to order there, as no one had bothered to come to take our drinks order, food order, even say that they will be with us in a minute. When i asked I was told they would be down, waited longer and still nothing. Walked out and went to one of the many other restaurants on Old Christchurch Road. Don't waste your money on people who don't even have manners, when you're looking to spend money with them.

Generally very good, but the salad not being removed on the burger as requested meant the person it was for couldn't eat it.
