When you go here I would order through Jessica, she was very attentive and the most polite server I’ve ever encountered. Just our interaction with her made this place a 5/5. The food was amazing and fairly priced. Great all round trip

Absolutely disgusting, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Waited nearly 2 hours only to be delivered cold chips which appeared to have been cooked around the time of ordering so sat for over an hour! Burgers looked terrible and were cold, drinks spilled everywhere in the bag. And when I tried to make contact the person who eventually called me just didn’t seem to care only to blame uber for not having a driver ready! I asked how long the food had been sat and he said 15 minutes! What an absolute lie, didn’t even bother to apologise until I pulled him up on it!

I can't recommend Nathans enough. The food was delicious, affordable and the staff are just so sweet, kind and friendly. My friends and I had such a great time, thank you :)

Excellent Service at Nathan’s Famous I wanted to take a moment to share my great experience at Nathan’s Famous. The food is always top-notch, but what truly makes my visits special is the outstanding service. A special shoutout to Sahan, one of the managers he is always friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience. His welcoming attitude makes a real difference. The rest of the staff is also brilliant, always providing quick and efficient service with a smile. It’s refreshing to visit a place where the team genuinely cares about their customers. Keep up the fantastic work! I’ll definitely be returning.

If you’re in the mood to pay for a mean-spirited experience rather than a meal, this is the place to be. I waited a ridiculous 30 minutes for my takeaway while the woman at the front and the guy in the kitchen were too busy having a loud chat to actually do their jobs. The whole place was a mess—noisy, unprofessional, and painfully slow. Safe to say, I won’t be coming back—unless I suddenly feel like spending money just to be treated meanly.

20 of us turned up to celebrate my son birthday, the staff couldn't have been any more helpful if they tried! They were all amazing and made it all so special! Even family and friends commented about how attentive they were. So pleased and all last minute they made it so special. I don't usually do reviews, but for them I just have to! Thank you so much 😁

Restaurant took ages to make the food, and the burger looked nothing like the picture as well as being cold

Chocolate teapot springs to mind! £60.00 of food ordered 1 hour 20 mins later some dufus turns up with a bag of chips and 2 drinks. Ended up on the phone and playing piggy in the middle between a delivery driver and the shop, safe to say I lost my cool. Asked for a refund still hungry! Thing that made it worse was the chips were freezing 🥶 pathetic. Cheers Nathans you nailed it 🤦‍♂️

Best burger and fries I have had in the UK

The BBQ burgers here are so good! Best burger I've ever had! Delicious with French fries! The attitude of the service staff is also very good, and the dining environment is particularly good! Will come often!

I was very surprised to find one Nathan's famous in Southampton, I ordered online before but this time I was near by and here it is. Located near University of Southampton, very clean and spacious store, classic with cheese and jalapeños was delicious.

The app kept delaying the delivery time when I phoned to ask they said the food has been sat for 1 hours and that they were going to send me the food cold when they found a driver. Completely refused to remake the food or to help us. Then on the phone was rude and unprofessional would recommend strongly finding another burger place to order from

Amazing staff and amazing food. Visited for the first time the other day and felt very welcomed and well looked after by Marinela. The food was great and Marinela was super kind and helpful. I’m a very indecisive person especially when it comes to food and Marinela was super patient with me and even helped me decide on what to order. I was not disappointed with the food!! Thank you<3

Absolutely disgusted. First off the blonde older lady behind the counter wanted to shout at us on arrival- should have just left straight away. But we ordered anyway, what a big mistake! 2 people in our group who ordered after me received their food and drinks and were eating when one of them found a hair embedded into the cheese sauce and bacon on his fries. When we showed the lady earlier mentioned she just decided to argue and tell us it wasn’t hers because she has blonde hair… when the chefs in the kitchen all had dark curly hair( and no one in our group did- and that’s the colour hair we found!!) another member of staff who was clearly embarrassed by her came over to help, or so we thought they took the fries away and then we could just hear her shouting about us. My partner then proceeded to ask how much longer our food would be as we had waited 25 minutes (15 minutes longer than the others in our group) to which we got another argument from the blonde old lady. When the gentleman who took the fries away came over to explain that our order wasn’t on their system and to check what we ordered I proceeded to ask just for a refund as I was put off by the hair and honestly I was starting to get angry with the lady’s attitude. Whilst I’m mid talking to him he just walks away… 5 minutes later I go to the counter- yes to the grumpy lady who rolls her eyes and moans that I want a refund… a lady from the kitchen then goes out the back to try ti refund it via head office instead of on the till because my ticket wasn’t on their system at all. Leaving me standing at the counter with the argumentative, sarcastic and rude other lady staring at me talking about me and making me feel uncomfortable. My friend then also came over and asked what was happening with his food as they walked away with it. She said they won’t do anything for him because it’s not any staffs hair and she starts to raise her voice insinuating we placed the hair there. Admittedly at this point I did lose it, I snapped at her because they couldn’t accept any responsibility for the hair that was clearly not ours, not even a sorry which in hospitality this is the worst attitude to have! And then to not offer a refund or replacement was ridiculous. And I stated how rude she has been since we came through the door and I got told I needed to respect my elders… how about you respect your customers??? Refunded now. Left an hour after arriving, never to return sort it out it’s disgusting customer service and disgusting hygiene! The toilet soap dispensers are never even filled and when you try to use them they fall off the wall and the toilets are always filthy too.

Chicken burger was amazing and succulent and just honestly perfect. The chips were pretty good and the chilis on top was superb. Hot dog frankie wasn’t so nice :(

Nathan’s Own self is vary good place . All staff is lovely just apart of there is one Europion lady she is vary rude . Specially with Delivery Guys . I have seen her how she serve how she treat the driver ( uber,deliveroo , just eat ) vary bad . Just because of her Nathan stick the label there for Drivers . Only become of her .

I ordered £16 worth of food, traveled over 20 minutes to the place me and my partner were going to eat it to then realise they had forgotten part of my order and utensils?? I then travelled all the way back to receive NO apology and just a rude response. They gave me the rest of my food however by that time the rest of my order was completely stone cold. I had then asked for a refund on my order and after another 20 minutes of the lady being rude she had then given me a refund receipt. However i had never received the money back on my card.

Fantastic food. We stopped for a quick lunch with some friends. The place was busy but we got our food quick. I would recommend their chilli hotdog and their loaed fries. Special thanks to the store manager Shavindi, great customer service. We will definitely be back.

The restaurant was clean and empty, so it was easy to get a table. We were told to take a seat and to order from the app, but that didn't work, so we went to the order point instead. This worked fine and was quick and simple. We didn't have to wait long for our meals, but when they turned up, all 3 of the meals were wrong. When we tried to rectify the issues, we were told they ran out of chilli for our chilli dogs, and if we wanted to wait, they would have to go away and make some. Opted to just have what they gave us, which was nice, but still disappointed as it was not what we ordered.

Izabela and Shavindi were really nice and welcoming. Had a great experience after a year coming back. Will definitely come more often in the future.

Ordered a hot dog and chips with a coke. Food is OK, it has definitely gone downhill as the food here used to be a lot better. When the food arrived, they said they didn't have any straws for the drink, (Why not inform me at the time of ordering?) When I asked them to refund me for the drink, as what I received is not what I was expecting, they refused the refund. I'm disappointed, this place markets itself as high quality fast food, but the service is low quality at best. It has definitely gone downhill, I used to go here before and I remember things being a lot better.

Service was slow await in excess of 20mins. Food itself was nice and I enjoyed. I then decided to order a sundae. After a few minute around 5-10 mins i was informed the machine was not working. I said fine i will have a refund, to which i was informed that it would not be possible. I had to leave without my product or a refund. Will think again before revisiting.

We drove a while to this place as went to the one in coney Island new york and was pleasantly surprised that this was still really good. Food was delicious! The philly cheesesteak in particular was good!

Service can seem a bit slow but it’s worth the wait and it’s always comes out hot. Their chicken burgers are great. Can seem a bit pricey compared to other options but it’s worth it.

Good food and cooked fresh, so this does mean you will have to wait and can be a long wait when busy (upto 30 mins). Choice of toppings for the crinkle cut fries is good but do add to the price (approx £1 per topping).

Had really bad service from some mug called Shavindi who seems to have an attitude towards both customers and her staff! Anyone who works under her should report her to the employment tribunal, this isn't a 3rd world country! And it's clear that managment don't keep an eye on her!! Never ordering there again!!

1st ever visit to Nathan’s, 1st impressions was it was very spacious and clean, staff were friendly and efficient, drinks bought to table within few minutes then food arrived, chips were ok but got a fair few being a large meal the burger I had was cooked to perfection! Also the vanilla milkshake I had I thought was tastier than dare I say it…McDonald’s and Burger King! So I will definitely be making a return here again soon! 😀

I mean where to start… this place has been my absolute go to the afternoon after a night out in Southampton. The staff here are really nice and the food is just unbelievable. The range of wings they have is pretty huge and the quality of each wing will leave you 100% satisfied I promise you… They’re each coated in a crispy breading and then tossed in a sticky sauce of your choice they genuinely melt in your mouth. The Philly sub roll is godly too!!’ Being the only UK Location for a prime spot in NYC you have to try this place out. My order is always the Philly cheese steak sub roll, cheese fries with a few sauces. And 5 wings sauce of your choice… GO ASAP.

Ordered vegan buffalo burger without the buffalo sauce.. confirmed on the receipt too, food turned up smothered in buffalo sauce. Also had to be reheated as was stone cold when it arrived. Please advise your staff to read orders correctly. Resulted in a disappointing meal.

Authentic American food. Can especially recommend chilli dogs, the burgers and their loaded fries. Only because of delivery times (deliveroo) sometimes the food isn't piping hot and may need to be reheated but that isn't the restaurants fault

Ordered twice from here on Deliveroo. First time they forgot one of my drinks. Thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and tried them again tonight. I ordered a cheese burger meal, some onion rings and a couple of slushy drinks. The order arrived without the entire burger, a whole slushy missing and the slushy that did arrive was the incorrect size. I mean, Deliveroo have refunded me, but how do you forget the burger in a burger meal?

Shops clean. Foods good 75% of the time. Sadly it seems the recent management has let it down. Staff are rude to drivers and don't read order numbers on phones. Allowing drivers to take wrong orders and then phoning customers to try to send the driver back. Perhaps a management change up is needed? It ran fine when it opened? Maybe an extra member of staff. That might rectify the situation and prevent further refunds on cold messed up deliveries? After this I think I'll just buy beef hotdog's in Costco from now on.

Came in here for lunch not having been for a while, went for philly cheesesteak supreme meal which came with chips and a drink £10.99. Staff were very friendly. Forgot how good philly cheesesteak was, definitely won't be long before I come back!

I've eaten from Nathan's around five or six times now, both as takeaways or eat-ins. On each occasion, I have thoroughly enjoyed my food. It makes a nice difference from the inferior McDonald's burgers. It's unfortunate that there are the negative reviews as I've only had good experiences. The food takes a little longer to cook than the big three fast food eateries take to cook their food, but then the quality is better. The atmosphere itself is ok, but having something than the same old Nathan's advert on rotation on the screen might be nice. The front of house/cashiers are friendly too - today, we had Izabela, who was attentive to us. I'll certainly be continuing to visit Nathan's.

This used to be good when it first started then just became terrible I haven’t been in there for a while but it seems like most things that are new in Southampton that after a while it just becomes awful. I showed up with my son to give him a treat where you are shared at very uncomfortably buy staff as We chose what we there ordered I was the female server can I have a kids cheese burger in which she replied “ a cheeseburger does that come with cheese?” I just looked at her dumbfounded because the last time I checked a cheeseburger does in fact come with cheese and I don’t know if she was joking or being serious but it was a pretty strange thing to say, the server couldn’t hear me or understand me over the extremely loud music and it was very hard to get over to her our order so I had a shout and this got the server very agitated this really made me cross as honestly it used to be a nice place then we sat down and finally our food came I noticed that they don’t do the mustard anymore and just gave us 2 packs of ketchup which for the large chips that where burnt buy the way wasn’t enough but we ate out meal and left in a hurry because of the extremely loud and uncomfortable atmosphere, No wonder the place was empty the service used to be a nice friendly one which is sad really. I will not be going there again as it’s truly gone down hill.

Ordered from here on Deliveroo, had a phonecall from the manager saying there was an issue and that a Deliveroo driver had stolen our order. The manager Shavindi said she would totally remake our order (despite not being reimbursed for the stolen order from Deliveroo) and sort out the issue with Deliveroo. Good service and good food, will order again.

Food always really good, I recommend the New York Philly Cheesesteak. We usually get it delivered because our house isn’t too close to it but went in today. Never disappoints!

They have great food and lots of choice. The servers are friendly, and there is a good student discount. They also do coffees a bit cheaper than coffee shops which is good.
