I recently visited Nahtawala with my family. A total of 14 with young children. We had booked to have breakfast. I was highly impressed with the food which was excellent as well as the service. I will definitely go again when visiting Leicester again.

I honestly have no idea why this place is rated so low! I ordered online but all the food was cooked to perfection and the man delivering my order was lovely as well, I will be using this place again, it came earlier than estimated as well to make things even better!!

The food was a waste of money do not go here. Sausages were hard and Tiny. Rasher is rock hard. Saving money and charging more. Mushrooms look like they were blow torched. Stay away it was horrible.

Originally went to get some tea but added a few more items on which to be honest did not live up to expectations. I gave the lady a £20 note to be short changed and when challenged was told I gave £10. I dident wish to argue but if you do visit please be careful as they will take every opportunity to short change.

I went just before 3pm to St Saviours rd branch, most of the Street Food items weren’t available and I had to settle for a peri peri baguette whilst the kids picked pies from the counter. There was one other table that had already got their food and no one else. 25 minutes later I was still waiting for the baguette, the lady at the till walked off as soon as I made eye contact with her. Ended up having to shout into the kitchen to ask if it’s nearly ready as I need to leave for an appointment. Kitchen staff member, whilst turning her back to me, pulled a face, raised her hand up and said “wait” then carried on conversing with till lady. Waited a little longer and after realising they really don’t care, I left, sans baguette. My second visit here and both times I’ve been disappointed. First visit I got egg ghotala, which was decent, but no mention it doesn’t come with puri/roti and it took so long to come out and also a slice of cake, which clearly had had too much air time, and very stale. It just broke into crumbs. Never had a Victoria Sponge so bad but I didn’t complain at the time as it was newly open. So this time I thought I’d try their baguettes off their street food section, but a half hour window at a quiet time was not a long enough timeframe.

Ordered lamb keema and buttered roti, I was not in anyway disappointed. Unreal flavours in the keema, very impressed.

We were really excited to try the tandoori chai and Iranian tea here and made a trip specially for this. However on arrival we found this place was another knock off just like chai wala. The paratha was not home made but rather Shana parathas and breakfast was disappointing. Finally when the tea arrived it was just Indian tea in a clay cup, nothing like the way they advertise it bubbling and piping hot. We were told the Iranian tea wasn’t even available and they required notice to make it. The tables inside the place wee not clean either. Wasted trip. It seems there is a trend to suddenly serve East African type food in the same way as chai wala, yet all places as well as chai wala are not authentic and lack taste.

I've been to the spice tree a few times over the past couple of months. Great food and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Good value for money and would definitely recommend whether out with friends or family.

The restaurant is re opened with vibrant and much more elegant menu on melton road. Lip smacking dishes. We tried the tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb Kebab, chicken lollipops etc and at the end ordered butter chicken and lamb curry... all the dishes were lip smacking..in the end we were so so full...what a wonderful experience. The menu caters for all your requirement including vegetarian and vegan options. We even saw healthy boxes on the menu which had dishes like chicken Kebab, lamb Kebab, rice and salad ...all under a tenner. Will defo visit next time

Absolutely third class food and they charge sitting charges if 10% in dining which I have never seen before. I could have given less than one ⭐️ if possible
