I organised a Cream tea for a friends birthday treat. I was pretty disappointed with this. First off it’s not called Nanny Marj any more and the food to the tea room was locked! The scones were very small and not home made. Minute amount of cream and jam in bought pots. More cream was needed. No imagination. I was given strawberry and marmalade!! It’s not worth the money I could do better at home. Very disappointed. The cups were nice.

A lovely setting for afternoon tea. Food really fresh and couldn’t fault any of the amazing cakes. Unlimited tea. Fabulous service. Great to have a box provided to bring home what we couldn’t quite manage to finish.

Well what a great little place this is. I took my friend who needs a low gluten diet. They couldn't have been more helpful in finding her all the essential ingredients including a very nice scone and 2 mini cakes. In fact I was quite envious. We had the place to ourselves as we'd gone for a late lunch slot but there was no hassle, in fact we stayed until they basically chucked us out. I'd used a Groupon voucher but the manager said they were going to stop doing them as they were too much hassle and hadn't brought them much business. I think it's a hidden gem.

This tea room is excellent value for money, the service is five star as far as I was concerned, there was 4 adults we where served three plates on triple level, the scones where the biggest I've ever seen, and the cake selection was great too. We will be recommending to family and friend's, and will definitely be going back. First time we have needed a doggie bag for what we c wouldn't manage to eat.

Groupon vouchers can always be hit and miss but this was defo a hit. Came here Fri afternoon and we were the only sit down customers, but had booked so may have made a difference to what we had (as end of the day may have run out of things otherwise) Tea rooms were connected to the pub next door, but they were very nicely decorated and felt homely. We sat in the comfy chairs at the front which was great. Unlimited tea (and I drink a lot) and very friendly service, felt very welcome. Sandwiches came first - and the most I have seen (on the first round), a selection of fresh and very tasty fillings. We had about 8 fingers slices each! This is good for me, but other less greedy people may struggle (but you can take home any left overs no issue) Then a lovely platter of cake and choice of scone. The fruit scone was very good, again fresh and served with a large amount of clotted cream. Only 1, but it was a good size. There were 2 plain scones which were smaller, so conforms to my "2 scone minimum" rule. Cakes were also very tasty and fresh - chocolate sponge, victoria sponge, macaroons, brownie, tiffin and little other pastries. Hats off to the chef if they made all of them (as some looked rather perfect) but all were good. I failed to eat everything (this should give you an idea of the quantity of food) so took some away. The only feedback I would say is they could make little bespoke boxes for taking away and advertising as this place needs to be discovered!. Price wise without the voucher it was good, and great with. I am defo coming back to this place :)

My sister, cousin and I popped in on the way back from lunch. I had a lovely cappuccino, my sister had a beautifully presented cream tea but my cousin, who is gluten intolerant couldn't have anything to eat! Please just make one gluten free cake so everyone can enjoy your lovely tea room. A quirky, delightful little gem.

Fantastic choice and wonderful service. Even a box to take home the food we couldn't eat! This is a must if you like afternoon teas in a picturesque spot!

Had a very pleasant afternoon tea at Nanny Marj tearoom. It’s a lovely little tea room, very nicely done out. My Aunt and myself are both vegetarian and I warned them in advance so had a nice selection of vegetarian sandwiches. There was also a nice selection of cakes. There was too much food to eat so took home a ‘doggy bag’. It was fairly basic compared to some afternoon teas I’ve had but certainly can’t complain for the price (with a Groupon voucher). I’d definitely go back.

We will not be returning. Had a voucher as a birthday present. Arrived before our 3.00 booking only to be told there was a problem with Groupon website and so manager did not know how many people were due to arrive. We said we would go for walk and come back at 3.15. Which we did. After about 20 minutes we were offered tea... I only drink loose tea and was told that was not a problem, only then to be told there was none available. Opted for coffee and my partner had tea. After we had drunk our drinks scruffy sandwiches (all different sizes and looked as though had been thrown on the plate) arrived, had to ask for knives to cut scones, with shop bought macaroons and chocolate sponge cake. 2nd round of tea and coffee, both totally different from first. We were told that any food not eaten we could take home.. we were offered a piece of card which was going to be wrapped in cling film!!!.. Other people were kept waiting as well. Not a good experience. So no stars

Prompted by a Groupon offer I drove my sister to Wixford for a dessert tea (tea or coffee with scones, jam and cream and an abundance of cakes). I like to try new places but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was part of The Three Horseshoes pub (one of my old time favourites). Apparently, the buildings were once a row of cottages and the old village forge. The water supply used to come from Hay Brook. There is ample parking and the pub also has a garden overlooking the Warwickshire countryside. The village is near Alcester and Stratford-on-Avon and there are some great walks in the area. Since my last visit, the buildings had been tastefully re-furbished in a contemporary style. The vintage tea rooms have a humorous canine theme and dogs are welcome. Our cakes were delicious. I could taste the different flavours in the macaroons (pistachio, coffee, chocolate and raspberry). So often they are too sweet and taste of nothing except sugar. You could ask for a second pot of tea and more milk if you wished (which we did). We could not eat everything and so our remaining cakes were wrapped for us to take home and share with those we left behind to finish the gardening! It made us feel less guilty for having such an enjoyable afternoon. Handy tip, print off your Groupon voucher and bring it with you. The internet is not great in the countryside and sometimes it is difficult for the staff to process things electronically. The members of staff are friendly. Next time I would like to try the cream tea at £5.95 per person. I also cannot wait to sample some of The Three Horseshoes evening specials on ‘Fish Thursday’. The tea rooms are closed on Sundays and Mondays. The pub is open every day except for Mondays (check the opening times on the websites).

I booked via Facebook for afternoon tea for my moms birthday. The members of staff were really helpful and even said they would dress up the table with balloons and a banner. When we arrived the tea room was quiet as the staff members were working in the restaurant next door. We went in and were then shown to our table which had been decorated as promised! My mom was so surprised and happy! We ordered our choices of tea and they promptly came over in 2 pots. The tea room itself is beautiful and so cute inside. The music playing in the background was a nice touch too. The scones, cakes and sandwiches arrived and were all lovely! I would have liked a little more variety in sandwiches which is the only downfall, but they still tastes great. We had turkey with salad and cheese with salad. We were checked on a few times by staff who topped up our tea pots and wished my mom a happy birthday. Everyone was very polite and I found the whole afternoon to be very enjoyable. We are planning another visit soon to try out the main restaurant! :)

Very poor cake selection, just small slices of loaf cake in supposedly different flavours. The scones had been toasted?? WHY?? Meaning they were dry and hard. There was no choice of bread or filling or scone - all pre-prepared - you got what you were given. Not asked if there were any preferences or dietary requirements. Very very basic food. No salad, no crisps, no coleslaw. Been other places cheaper than this and got so much more. Huge disappointment as the tea room itself is lovely. They really let themselves down - would not go again and would not recommend.

We visited the cafe after receiving vouchers as a present. Having never been, we had high hopes. Room was pleasant with nice china, but little service inside - I had to go inside to say that we were there, although we had booked in advance! A pot of tea eventually arrived, and was followed after some delay by sandwiches. The sandwiches were heavy, and what I thought was a nice egg and cress sandwich, was rather a questionable cheese with a healthy dosing of salad cream! The other sandwiches were filled with processed turkey and more salad cream! The scones were about an inch thick, and appeared on sight to be biscuits, but were in fact scones, raw in the middle! The cakes appeared also to have been frozen, were served in thin slices, and there were some undercooked macaroons. We again had to go and look for somebody, as there was no cutlery or napkins! Overall, an unpleasant and disappointing experience. I can only be glad that we didn’t pay!

Light and airy, french style decor. Odd choice of artwork but suspect owner is dog fanatic.

The room itself was very pleasant with a lovely atmosphere and we had good service. However, the sandwiches were dry and fairly tasteless and the cakes were out of a packet! The scone was the highlight which was served with quality jam and clotted cream but unfortunately this couldn't make up for the rest. A very disappointing experience.

Visited this place on a Groupon and well worth the trip. Great choice of sandwiches and cakes in a lovely little tea room. Not sure about the cost without the voucher but compared favourably with others I've been to with vouchers. Would go back if out that way again.

My daughter organised a family get-together here as part of my birthday celebration. She had organised dessert cream teas. As there were 8 adults, 5 children and 2 babies we were delighted to find that we had been allocated a private room. Everything had been beautifully laid out and the room had been well heated for a cold January day.

Nice little tea room attached to the 3 Horseshoes Pub. Very nice decor and a good menu for afternoon teas. We went at lunchtime and had a sandwich off the pub menu. Home cooked ham and cheese. A generous portion of ham with a lovely flavour. Although we were a bit early for afternoon tea, the tea menu looked very interesting. All items were reasonably priced. A pleasant young lady serving, who was very attentive and helpful. Well worth a visit.

Breakfast wasn't good. Service was slow. Food quality isn't worth what you're paying for. I was disappointed 😞 Positive - waitress was nice, friendly and pleasant

This pub is sadly currently closed due to a large fire earlier in the year. It will be closed for some time. I hope it gets restored as it had a great reputation before. There are plenty of other great alternatives nearby to visit.

Harvy and his team were first class. I emailed saying it was a special birthday with friends and could they do something for me and straight away they replied saying very happy to help. When we arrived the whole team were just brilliant and really did make the day for us. I cant thank the team enough for a fantastic experience
