Nando's East Croydon in Croydon

I had dinner with my toddler and the service and kindness of the staff was amazing! Especially Zain, he really went above and beyond for us. I am very grateful! Thanks Zain (East Croydon George street branch) you’ve been great!

I am impressed with this Nandos. My standards are probably admittedly lower as its , let's be honest, just quick basic grub but the service has exceeded my expectations the last two times I've been there. The first time I cheekily requested a booth despite being a party of 2. It was fine when i got refused due to how busy it was and it's for larger groups. To my surprise minutes later he came up to my seat and said in fact we can have a booth. Second Time I was on a quick lunch break and it took too long, I spoke to the manager who knew straight away mine had taken longer than the other party members and she replied "I was not happy with your side of macho peas from the kitchen so I've asked them to redo it, apologies for the delay." It was really nice to see this level of quality control and care during what was a busy lunch period. She was a manager, but personally bought it over to me. This attitude and stakeholder skills impressed me.

Had a friendly and welcoming experience, and in particular our server Suriya, who served us our drinks was very friendly and made our experience at Nando’s enjoyable!

Niall Horan had to see that when visiting London it was a mandatory stop 😂 Super delicious food, very pleasant atmosphere. Highlight the kindness of the waiters and the speed of service. When I return I will definitely visit Nando's again!!

Always busy I've been going here over the years but the food is now colder when it comes to the chips and burnt pieces of chicken were served, thankfully I was given some new pieces. Also, the staff are selective on who they ask about the loyalty card/forget to ask, it's hard to tell, but Everytime I go there, they ask the person before about their Nandos card.

The staff are always friendly and super helpful. The food is great. And the restaurant is clean. Knocked a star off because in some corners the lighting is so dim you can hardly see your food. But stay away from those and you’ll be all good 👍

Had an amazing time here, food was lovley although the wait times were a tad long. Thankfully, Vinnie was so attentive and helped us throughout our time here by checking up on our food, give recommendations, offering other items on the menu and overall just being super friendly even in the busy environment. Great service from him! Had the loaded fries for the first time and wow- delicious.

I confess to being a big fan of Nando's, which in my opinion offers a perfect balance of quality and tasty fresh cooked food, speedy and courteous service, and a pleasant ambience, all at a reasonable price. Concerning this branch in particular, I would rate it as among the top Nando's locations I have visited, convenient to East Croydon Station, the tram stop and Box Park, yet almost a world apart - an airy, spacious and bright oasis in which to enjoy its specialty: grilled peri-peri chicken. It's hard to explain, but the whole is somehow greater than the sum of its parts. Highly recommended. Update 11/24:  For the first time I can recall, there was a cock-up with my order. It was Sunday around 8:20pm, and the restaurant was not very busy when I placed my typical order (grilled chicken + 2 sides) at the counter (as opposed to using the phone app). I then collected my drink, picked up cutlery, napkins and a bottle of catsup from the soft drinks area, and back at my table read news on my phone while waiting for the food to arrive. Usually, this takes 5-10 minutes max unless it's busy, which it wasn't. Suddenly, I noticed nearly a half hour had gone by. I went up to the counter to check on what had happened. After a quick enquiry, it turned out some glitch in the system had caused my order to disappear. Anyway, the staff were quite good about it. In another 10 minutes, I received my dinner, with an apology and a bonus free side of chips. Mistakes will happen.  Ratings are unchanged at 5/5/5.

Nandos East Croydon, Vineesh was very attentive and friendly he made sure I had a menu and also brang a positive energy as he served me with a smile.

My friend and I went to dine at Nando’s at East Croydon and we were served by a male named Vineesh. His service was impecable from the greeting to the end of the dinner. It was a lovely dining experience! In the end Vineesh gave us free desserts. It was a great dinning experience and food was lovely. Staff were lovely!

I would have given them below one star , very rude and disrespectful manager don’t come here again get your dining needs elsewhere , I ordered and got seated then after that someone took my drink that I ordered and he threw it away so manager came and the waiter he admitted he threw it away so I said the f word and he refunded me …. Bad experience the second time never had this experience the first time was horrible every thing happens for a reason

I had the pleasure of being served by Vineesh at Nando’s East Croydon, and I must say his service was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a friendly smile and a genuine enthusiasm that made the experience feel special. He was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring we had everything we needed and offering great recommendations with a thoughtful touch. Vineesh’s positive attitude and impeccable service really stood out, and he made our visit so much more enjoyable. Truly a credit to the team, and I’ll definitely be returning for more of the wonderful service he provided!

Good stuff good food top tier nandos

Brilliant seating plan for the restaurant, the seats were wider and tables larger than any other nandos I have been to. This was great as there was more than enough space to walk past tables and to be comfortable too. We ordered on the app and the food came before our drinks which isn't ideal, but once that was mentioned it was sorted very quickly. We didn't feel rushed to leave as soon as we had finished the meal either.

Great spot for delicious peri-peri chicken with tons of flavour and spice options. Quick service, tasty sides, and perfect for a casual meal.

Normally I order takeaways from Nandos. The food never disappoints. It's always warm and full of taste. Service is quick and staff are friendly. I would consider Nandos value for money, the price you pay is decent for the meal and portions are fulfilling.

Go somewhere else. Concept does not work at this place. We ordered via mobile. One meal did not go through the system and because we already waited so long for three salads (!) and our drinks, we did not re-order for the fifth person. Meals came step by step so we could Not eat together. In mediterranean salad Like thirty green olives, come on this ist way to much. After WE finished no one collected the dishes from the tables and our complaints were Not handled in an appropriate way. The Manager Said Team is new but even the Manager was disorganized...Not worth the stay.

went to the nando’s in east croydon stefan served me a some friends he was really nice and friendly. we ordered online the starters and mains came out really quick but my food took a while and my friends had to wait for me to get mine initially i was i was upset but this other waiter made up for it by checking on my food and bringing it over shortly. overall food was good, staff were friendly and helpful and i enjoyed my experience.

We ordered the sharing platter as usual but they had made their sharing platter portion small compared to earlier. If two people are eating well it’s not enough for two.

First time visiting a Nando's, what a great place this one is! Friendly and helpful staff plus delicious kids meals for the difficult to please kids. So good they get chips plus a second side for some veggies.

I have just eaten at East Croydon Nandos with my family and the service was fantastic. We were served by Vineesh. He served us very well and provided excellent customer service!

Awful experience. I've been to this one a coupple times and embarrassingly took a friend here this week telling them it was good. So many things were dreadful: Staff -couldn't give a monkeys, no welcome. I don't go often and my friend had never been to Nando's so we didn't fully understand the process, but got no help or advice from anyone. I got told off for not having my table number to hand quickly, she also rudely just waved my friend in the direction of water (he couldn't get a straight answer, just a mumble), wouldn't clear our plates so we moved them to another table ourselves and got scowled at. No thanks or goodbye. They clearly could not care less as this is a popular chain and they probably don't need repeat customers. Food- guys, at least get the chicken right, its the only thing you do right? It's your signature dish, the clue is in the logo! Although I suppose the logo does look a bit like a cockerel which are usually old, overworked and knackered. I had a very dry, tiny, hard chicken breast in an uncooked, hard pitta bread. My friend's thighs were tough and chewy. The corn of the cob made us laugh out loud. Did you retrieve them from a bin in Surrey street market? Puny, about a teaspoon of corn on them. Coleslaw - straight from a tub from Costco I imagine. Chips, served lukewarm..yuck. Wine - yes maybe we were a bit mad ordering wine in Nando's but it was a bottle of red that had been sitting next to the grills and was hotter than mulled wine. Really unpleasant and we both felt ill after drinking it- I suspect the over-heating spoiled it. Biggest regret is that we didn't just grab some street food in Boxpark across the road - even food served in a cardboard box would have been better than this.

We love a Nando’s, especially late after a dance comp, it calls our names wherever we are in the UK. This excellent, modern and clean East Croydon, George Street Nando’s (round the corner from the Leonardo Hotel and the Whitgift Shopping Centre) really hit 10 out of 10! Especially with the amazing Stefan who is super friendly, super attentive, super efficient and just all round great. Don’t miss out especially on the best macaroni cheese outside the USA, the vodka passionfruit slushy and the mango ice cream. And obviously all the chicken dishes and sides. Thanks Stefan! We’ll be back.

Everything was incredible. Our server was incredibly nice and the food was delicious. The peri peri chips were mind blowing. Coming here is a MUST.

The food is really good. But the best thing about this place is the service. I feel very comfortable and well taken care of

The man who took the order (Yashdev) complained that we did not thank him for taking the order, even though the order had not been completed. He then went to serve another customer before our order had been completed. After I complained to him, he still refused to complete our order. I spoke to the manager who eased the situation and offered us a free salad and free drinks. The manager handled it well, so we would come back.

Worst Nando’s restaurant we have ever visited went at 2.30 pm today it was very empty only 10 percent full the staff we so sour faced and not welcoming just ignored you I could understand this if they were busy but the Resturant was empty then they took 25 minutes to bring the food and I could see there at least 8 staff working asked livers to be well done but very disappointed the rest of the food was ok but the staff acted like you was invisible and didn’t care please avoid this Nando’s at any cost been a Nando’s customer for 28 years this the worst restaurant I have ever visited

Had a meeting in the area and popped to Nandos to grab a quick bite. I was welcomed by Elisa with a lovely smile, asked me about any allergies which shows great awareness and offered me the table i wanted. Happy with the experience

We dined here tonight and had such a pleasant experience. The food, the drinks, the service were exceptional. The Manager in white shirt (sadly I did not catch his name!..) deserves a raise - he did go over and beyond to make everyone happy, was running around a lot just to make sure that everyone has everything they need, which I haven’t seen this in my local Nandos for a while.

Sometimes come to this Nandos for food. In general, my visits have been okay, apart from the last one. I was shocked with the ridiculous size of the Nandinos' mac & cheese portion that my kid got served. When I complained that, in previous visits, the bowl was considerably larger, the waitress fobbed me off with the excuse that this is the correct Nandinos bowl size and the wrong one was served in the past. There's a picture of mac & cheese on Nandos website, and you can see this is not the case.

This Nando’s is rubbish. They never have chicken thighs. Regardless the time of day. Don’t bother going here. Walk 5 mins down the road and go to the other Nando’s.

The Nando’s in east Croydon was a lovely spot to hang out in, the food came with such fast service and the staff were incredibly friendly especially helping me figure out payment methods. Stefan was very nice and the only name that I saw but everyone was lovely. Ended up staying for hours because of the homely environment !!

She was extremely welcoming and polite throughout my experience, she not only took my order correctly and was extremely patient and kind but she made sure the food was okay, the food was excellent as always and came quickly.

Was first time here didn't know it was here ordered a take away half chicken chips and corn on the cob chicken was lemon and herb place was busy took food back and only eaten a small portion of chicken and half chips then corn on the cob Within half an hour to hour didn't feel at all well 🙃 had very bad upset stomach constant gergulling noise in stomach was very unwell I won't be using that place again its put me of of nandos and spoilt my weekend 😒 away

Nandos is Nandos im only leaving a review because of a staff member called Stefan. He is literally customer service in human form. He was so good i had to go back to the cash register and ask for my receipt so i could leave a review about him. I sat at table 4 at around 16:52 with my son. Only negative thing to say was to women in the kitchen shouting at eachother ruined the atmosphere a bit, other than that food was good service was perfect and the restaurant was nice over all.

Nandos Franchise - take note - the best Peri Chicken Livers with the freshest Portuguese roll - I've ever been served in the UK. I might live in the South, but this Nandos branch will definitely see me again.

I was having a very miserable time at Nandos east Croydon today 12/4/2024 But Stefan came to the rescue with his amazing service and customer skills i personally believe if more staff were like him at the east Croydon store it would be amazing I believe Stefan should be promoted
