Wasn't a great experience. £16 for one of the smallest portion and almost no flavours at all what so ever. On the wall clearly says £15 and charged £16. No welcoming service, I know shop is in bad locality but atleast from somewhere offer value for money. Will never give it even a second chance. Waste of money and time for no taste. AVOID!!!

Love this place. The kebabs are the best you could ever wish for, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. I popped in for lunch yesterday and ate the adana and chicken shish combination kebab, which was served with salad, superb bread and two fantastic sauces (chilli and garlic). It was all washed down with a couple of bottles of Efe’s beer. I just wish that I lived closer to it!

We had really good take away kebabs there, on expensive side, but we understood why after first bite. Fluffy bread, fresh salad, good sauces. Juicy both lamb an chicken. Young server bit slow but polite. We also got delicious tea on the house while waiting. Fries for kids fried on clean oil. Will be back to eat in next time.

We had a great time at Mazi Restaurant. We ordered a chicken platter with two types of rice. It was delicious, perfectly cooked and tender. The pita bread tasted amazing and my son had the tastiest lamb kebab. We will be coming back.

When I entered the restaurant, I felt relieved. It is air-conditioned, cool and clean. What I like most is that they welcome me very well. They immediately brought me salad, pickles, garlic sauce and chili sauce. Then they brought me food, kebab. (Adana, Wings, Meat sis, Chicken sis) the price was also very affordable

I visited the restaurant for the second time. It’s nice stuff, the food is just fabulous! Vegetables with lamb it was cooked like by my mum 😊 missing her. Highly recommend! I would come again, definitely. Wishing prosperity for your business!

Ordered a takeaway via Just Eat - mixed grill type of thing that was served on a bed of rice and bulgar with a bit of Turkish bread on the side. At £35 I would’ve expected something tastier and better cooked. All of the meat and chicken was tough, dry and lacked flavour; only the Adana had a bit of taste to it. A standard box of chips set me back £4.50 - complete rip off! I think this place is probably best for the range of Kurdish soups/stews that are usually sat on the display counter, which I’m reliably informed are cooked fresh on a daily basis.

Disgusting and greasy. Do not trust. Owner and workers are so rude. They don’t care about customers. Do not recommend.

This place always surprise me, I guess it’s okay but the people who serve you are not good. One thing for sure your table is always gonna be dirty. They don’t clean the table until you leave. Out of five times I’ve been in there it was good twice. Food is okay service is bad tables are dirty.

Food is generally good - especially their hot dishes and stews The reason for the 2 stars is due to the measly portion you get for the Doner kebab. It was literally a few slices of meat - probably around 30% you usually get from the usual Turkish takeaways. On challenging them on the tight portion, they are unwilling to listen - therefore very arrogant and rubbish customer service!

Ordered 1 chicken doner wrap and 1 ayran and the bill in the end came out £16!!!! However on the menu was writting that the price of chicken wrap is £8!!!

Hi everyone. In my whole life i never gave many reviews. But this place worth review sharing. Don't go to this place these are really disrespecting people. The owner who is turkish is very nice and humble person, always welcome suggestion and gave good customer service. But the two staffs a young afghani guy and other old white beard man working on the grill i don't know his nationality i think afghani, tukish, irani whatsoever they are totally worst people ever. When you go with your female friends they try to flort your friends and then talking about Islamic religion and values. That afghani guy and old man serving alcohol to other and preaching other Islam like this is totally funny and shameful. I think the who sell, serve alchol and flirt with customer girls at the age of 70 can't preach other religion. I am not perfect and not practicing Muslim May God gave me courage to be practicing but i will never give anyone preaching of Islam until i am perfect. Telling other not to sit with your friend which is a girl don't make any sense, i think if these people are so rational why they don't make themselves perfect stop selling alcohol stop flirting with customers friends.

It's not 5 star dining. The food is 5 star and word of advice is order light. They bring LOTS of food.

I visited this restaurant in Croydon today. The staff were excellent and there food was excellenttttttttttt, they served fresh and healthy dishes, please see supporting pictures. I would use brown whole meal bread instead of white, and try to use brown rice instead of white. Please visit highly recommended 6 star review in my opinion. Wish them all the best, and hope they maintain standards......that's where the true test is in every buisness, consistency, and maintaining standards. Kind regards Jimmy

Awsome little Gem of a place. Discovered by chance, during my first visiti I ordered a falafel while waiting I was offered a seat and a free cup of delicious tea.my falafel was huge and tasted delicious. This place is great 👍🏾

First visit to Mazi since coronavirus struck; glad to report that it’s just as good as it has always been. Service was swift and smiling; my combination kebab (chicken shish and lamb doner) absolutely superb; the atmosphere relaxed and inviting. Absolutely love this place; it’s world-class food in a location you would never expect.

Healthy portions, tasty food, chilled family atmosphere, familiar locals coming in for quick bite and drink, respectful waiters and a complimentary Turkish tea after meal.. very cool experience.

Just collected this Absolutely Disgusting lamb shawarma all cartilage and fat never knew bad shawarma existed until today chucked away... Also ordered lamuchan THEY GAVE ME A BLOCK OF BREAD no meat nothing it was not even a lamachun bread but the thick Turkish bread absolutely FURIOUS!

I am Mazi’s customer for 10 years, the prices used to be quite reasonable for the size of the portions. In the last 2 years, , the size of lamb , chicken cubes & kofte skewer are gradually shrinking in Mazi special , the same portion used to be enough for 2 people, now it is only enough for one person, I am ordering side dishes & lots of salad otherwise I will stay hungry. The Kukus & rice are not fresh , the waiters are nice & do their best to serve the customers but the chef is UNWELCOMING ,he make you feel that he is working for free. Not impressed at all, if they carry on this way I am not going there anymore & will loose their customers.

Just went there half an hour before and bought chicken donar salad kabab shish and lamb chops the salad was stale and not at all gud and charged £8 for large donar but got less.everything luks stale.

It was the best kebab outside of Turkey but Mr Mazi sold it . Now the toilets are dirty prices are higher and quality of food is down .

Londyńskim tureckim restauracjom niestety wiele brakuje do prawdziwego tureckiego jedzienia. Mazi jak na restauracje w 5 strefie Lodnynu wypadlo w miarę dobrze. Wystrój ciekawy, kolorowe ledy na suficie, w tle relaksacyjna muzyka, na stole kwiaty. Ogólnie bardzo czysto. Obsługa miła i pomocna. Menu czytelne ze zdjęciami potraw. Bardzo duze porcje jedzenia. Cenowo Ok ( w stosunku do ilości ). A co do smaku.. to przejdzie, rewelacji nie ma ale "zjadliwe". Ogólnie Polecam bo w tej okolicy o coś lepszego ciezko :)

We had the special grill, hummus starters, a couple of lahmacun, plenty of efes, and a lovely bottle of red! The food was very tasty and fulfilling, the service was prompt, attentive and friendly. Considering that there were 4 of us and a complete takeaway meal for 1,the bill was excellent value for money. We were completely full and content afterwards. We would recommend this gem tucked away on London road.

Not nice food and it's way very expensive

This is a small restaurant and could be easily missed,but I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Croydon,London rd. My family and I come here on a regular basis and I'm happy ever time I dine here. We usually get the the mixed grill deal for 3/4 people and it's excellent. The starters comes with the various Turkish dips and a lovely assortment of fresh bread. You get two types of rice and ALL the various meats, chicken wings,kofta, lamb chops,chicken shish and so on are of very good quality ,probably one of the best I've eaten. The deserts are lovely as well. Nice and friendly service.

We discovered this restaurant about 20 years ago when we were newly married. Back then I will admit it was quite a bit cheaper than it is now but the quality is just as good and they have drastically improved the decor. It was so good we would go there every single week for absolutely years. It is still just as good it’s just that I’ve had so many Mazis that I have to limit myself now! They do fantastic “daily-dishes“ which are probably more cost-effective and if you want to eat cheaply you can share one. You can also ask for an “mixed –dish“ which is a bit bigger (Being a bit of everything from their daily dishes) and lends itself better to sharing. If you do that I think you can get the whole thing for £10 meaning that you’ve eaten for £5 each for two people. If you want to spend more you certainly can by ordering the grilled meats. I usually order all my food with couscus only (not rice) which is the large-grained Bulgar wheat. If you don’t stipulate that they will give you rice and couscus but rice is a bit boring. Also yummy are they thin pizza-like things not the full on pizzas but the very thin ones and I forgotten the name of them but they’re cheap and extremely yummy. If you feel like splashing the cash you can order a Mazis special. The other great thing is the lamb soup for the lentil soup that the lamb soup is so full of meat and it’s a real meal in itself

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and can honestly say that it is exceptional from the food to the service and have a lot of respect for the workers who have been working there for a long while. Wide selection of foods you can order that caters to everyone’s taste. The food is fresh as I have always remembered it to be and it is easy to access with great transport link to west Croydon. The Kebabs they do are without doubt the best in Croydon and even possible the whole of London due to there unique taste, Freshness and quality of the food. Make sure you visit and have a meal when you are in Croydon. Prices are very affordable and the value for money is insane.

We popped in just to have a quick lunch but ended up heaving a proper meal and spending amazing time there. All staff members were very polite and attentive. The food was delicious and very generous portions too. The turkish tea at the end of meal made my day. It was filling with tranquility and peace. The quiet music and friendly staff all was adding to impression. Highly recommend this place for escaping from stress and high-speed of life. And getting great food too :)

Good food , not so good atmosphere

An ok restaurant, wait for the meal was a bit long and the meat was not the best I had. It didn’t taste fresh and it was a bit dry. I am a fan of Turkish food and have visited many different restaurants and tried home made food too. There is a lot of little touches that could take this to 4-5 stars but restaurant will need to add some love and passion to the meals they prepare.

Food is great, decor good, staff ok, But sadly I don't go as often as I would like to as there prices are really expensive now. A regular keebab £10 almost... Plus your drinks on top 2x people can cost you £30+ in total yet other fast food restaurants sell keeba for £5 just as nice.. So this is my only criticism is the prices are over rated indeed.

We have been to Mazi dozens of times to enjoy great value authentic Turkish food and have never had a bad meal. It is our favourite Turkish restaurant and has become even better with Ejder joining the team. He always welcomes us with a genuine smile and looks after us exceptionally well. We have tried a variety of tasty dishes over the years and for us the Lahmacun and Lamb Soup is even better than the best restaurants in Istanbul.
