Authentic Portuguese restaurant. The octopus and the stew were fantastic! I wish I had some more pipi piri wing as well as it was so perfect and I couldn't get enough and will be back for more.

Portuguese food tends to the very simple, using good quality ingredients. A Torre does not disappoint. Excellent quality, simply prepared, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere.

Amazing food and pretty local restaurant. Fresh fish soup and paella. We will come back with our dog as they have a back patio.

What a great place to dine, for a moment you forget that you are in England. Food is great and so are the staff. The music and the decoration is so Portuguese which gives that authentic impression. From Francesinha to the famous Fish Stew, if you looking for a place to have a great meal and leave satisfied this is definitely the place.

Lovely staff and always delighted to try some Portuguese food. Prices aren't too bad, I had the Bacalhau a bras which was nice but didn't blow you away.

We came a specially to this place for octopus. Was told they don’t have it. Very small and dry sea bass instead with a little potatoes and no salad at all. 3 Sardines only as a starter

Does what it says on the tin - solid food, service and atmosphere all for a reasonable price.

Had Easter lunch, the starters were good but the mains were average. However, found two pieces of broken glass on my cup after i had drunk the juice, which is incredibly concerning and completely ruined our lunch, really hope i didn't ingest any.

Delicious food as always. The T bone steak was cooked to perfection and is worth coming here for that alone! The salmon steak and sea bass were obviously fresh and well seasoned. A home cooked feel about the restaurant, with authentic Portuguese food. They also sell their pastel de nata to take away!

We have been several times and the standard of food is always excellent! Particular highlights are the Piri Piri prawns, crams and the sardines. Great service too

Lovely little place in Crystal Palace, the food was great and the service so friendly! We had a variety of Portuguese specialties and I found it more refined than the food I had had in Portugal. Highly Recommend!

After a morning coffee and a home made Pasta de nata, which was truly delicious, I returned for a lunch special of T bone steak with the usual sides and a lovely chewy glass of red wine. While the steak was well cooked, just the way I wanted it, it wasn't a memorable piece of meat. However. This is a lovely traditional restaurant that deserves to be appreciated for what it does. All the cooking is done by a small team to a high standard and the service is polite and efficient. I most certainly will return and bring a guest with me to enjoy what they have to offer.

Amazing food as always! We had today’s special T-bone steak with fries, which was 🔥 and the octopus and fish stew were great as usual! We were seated next to the door so it was a bit cold when people went in and out, but the staff tried their best to be attentive and closed the door every time people left the door open.

I had previously given this place a 5. The food is good, especially the Octopus. However, I have a service dog and the third time I went, I decided to make a reservation. I explained I would be bringing her. She had not come with me before. My reservation was confirmed until I explained she would be coming. Suddenly, there were no spaces. I told the owner that I would let others know he was in breach of disability laws. His act was prejudicial and not in line with law or compassion. On this basis I feel no one with special needs or with empathy for others with special needs should EVER eat here. RE: The owners response. He never offered me an earlier time, that is an abject lie as is that he was squeezing me in. This narrative only happened when I mentioned my service dog. Further, I explained my service dog stays on my lap and not on the ground. He is attempting to cover his illegal and immoral behaviour. Do not believe him!

Traditional Portuguese restaurant with great service. Just had lunch here. The food was really tasty. I had the Francesinha, which is similar to a club sandwich or croque monsieur, in a tomato-and-beer sauce.

Popped in for an impromptu bite after work. Garlic bread and tasty caldeirada fish stew washed down with a cold sagres beer. Even better, lucked into a dining discount. Yum, I will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.

A brilliant portuguese restaurant. The francesinha was very good. The service was excellent. They even let stay longer than the closing time. Recommended! Will come back for sure.

Wonderful Portuguese restaurant with divine selections of wine. I started with a fish cake which was surprisingly crisp and delicious. The lamb shank was moist the kind of moist you want of one. You have got to follow your meal with the Portuguese flan a flan that wobbles is a good one it's delicious cleanses the palate and takes home some tarts!! I will be going again!!

We have been to A Torre several times and have always enjoyed extremely friendly service and delicious food. It’s a lovely little local restaurant with a great atmosphere. We will definitely be going back again soon!

Superb. 5 yrs since my last visit. Top notch service, food and drinks. Caldeirada and the octopus was fantastic. Sardines were perfect starter.

Delicious food, specially the Francesinha

Lovely environment but bad food. The sardines were ok but over salted. Main course was a disaster. Tasteless roast belly pork, skin lacking crispy goodness, served slathered in a sauce that tasted like it came out of a packet. The sautéed potatoes weren’t crispy and the bowl of overcooked microwaved vegetables lacked seasoning. I won’t be a return customer.

We have eaten at A Torre half-a-dozen times in the last couple of months and, in fairness, we have had some really nice meals there. However, last night's will be the last time. My wife is medically allergic to coriander leaf. We have warned them on previous occasions and they have had to replace dishes in the past when served to her with it. Last night was the final straw. We warned them twice that evening. When my wife's linguine with sea food (on the specials menu) arrived, we queried the green herb on top and were told that it was parsley. 30 seconds later, they rushed out of the kitchen and snatched the plate away because it was coriander leaf. My daughter and I had finished our meal before my wife's replacement dish arrived. There is even an issue with the steaks. My daughter and I always order them medium-rare. Two visits ago, my steak was well done. The previous visit, it was between blue and rare. Last night, my daughter's was the same. I spoke to George, the owner, and sadly we won't be going back.

That was a very good experience in authentic good for me. Services was very good. But the food was fantastic . Strongly recommended.

Traditional Portuguese- the food is excellent and staff v friendly. We split a selection of starters. Grilled sardines were so good. Highly recommended.

I love it here. The staff are very friendly, the food is good. and the wine is reasonable! It's not the smartest place but we've been twice now and never been disappointed. I had the special of salt cod and scrambled eggs, and my daughter had the steak. Both very good. I then had the custard slice, which is amazing if you like custard puddings. Two glasses of house red. Will be returning.

Not been to A Torre for a year or so and were worried by the recent bad TA reviews and the fact their website (as linked on Trip Advisor) is 'for sale'. But we booked anyway and pleased we did. Had a very pleasant meal. I had the Bacalhau à Brás which was excellent. My partner had the tuna steak and was very happy with that. I had the Pudim Caseiro for dessert. Didn't know what to expect but got a rustic creme caramel which I loved. To drink we had the only by-the-glass option of house white and house red. I'm quite a wine person and didn't have high expectations, but both were perfectly acceptable. Our waitress was pleasant. Did have a quite a wait for the dessert menu, but we weren't in a hurry. Price... well, not cheap but nowhere is. Fish is expensive everywhere. In summary, a pleasant evening. Will visit again a few times a year.

I'd never had Portuguese food before and so being of a mind to try foods from all over the world thought to give this restaurant a try. The food was lovely and they have a good range of different foods and so choosing was the hardest part. I went for the paella in the end which was lovely and quite large. Highly recommend a visit

A cute little Portuguese eatery in Crystal Palace. A Portuguese friend took me to this place and I absolutely loved everything we ordered.

In addition to the usual range of Portuguese dishes, some first class traditional Portuguese vegetarian dishes on offer.

Popped in for a quick coffee and some Portuguese Custard tarts, Pastel de Nata Lovely. The meals others were enjoying, looked lovely, indeed I want to go back for a meal now.

We lived in The Algarve for many years and always enjoyed simple fresh Portuguese cooking so we decided to try A Torre. We ordered Clams to start and Chicken Piri Piri for mains. When the Clams arrived all that I could see was a pile of shells with no Clams. On digging down I found the Clams swimming in a pool of butter. They were over cooked and tasteless. I suspect they were frozen and had been thawed out and heated. They were nothing like the fresh Clams served in The Algarve. The Chicken Piri Piri was not BBQ'ed but had been baked in the oven and then had a sauce poured over it. The BBQ sauce was nothing like the real thing. Just hot with not other flavour which comes from marinading the Chicken and cooking it over Charcoal. The Chicken was dry and hard and the chips tasteless. All this rubbish was washed down with a mediocre bottle of White Wine which cost £30. The bill was £100 for Chicken and Chips and one portion of shared Clams. We will not be coming back. A complete disaster.

It was an extremely horrible experience, the staff wanted to die more than to serve the customer, not friendly at all and the food extremely expensive, a small bottle of water from Costco without gas, £3.95, I do not recommend going, it is a real robbery of money and Terrible staff, don't waste money

1st visit with friends. Excellent food and great ambience. My husband said his octopus was the best he'd ever had! Really enjoyed the evening and very good value

I went here with a friend that has never tried Portuguese food. I told her Portuguese food is amazing and we should go. Welsh’s ended up loving it. The food was amazing! We had seafood based dishes. I had the Octopus as a main and the king prawns as a starter both were soooo good. I was so sad that the meal was over cause I couldn’t eaten it again and again and again! My friend really enjoyed her meal. There was lovely wine, great service, quiet space, overall a great experience!! I will certainly be coming back for a lovely meal and would recommend to anybody that wants to try!

Best Portuguese Food in London! We absolutely love this place, staff are very friendly it’s a family run business and the place is quaint and unique. Been here multiple times. Food is always incredible with lots of different specials on the day. We love the Portuguese Paella & Beef Stew! Highly recommended!

To be honest my partner (who is Portuguese) were both looking forward to eating at A Torre but it was a real and complete let down. The staff were dull and cold. The garlic bread was the worst attempt at garlic bread i have ever seen, And the francesinha was the worst also.... the sauce was tastless, the steak was full of fat which was almost vomit inducing. And the price we paid for the above was far too much.... £50 for all that was not worth it.... £3 for a glass of coke..... We will never go there again and will pass our experience on to all the Portuguese people we know. And the Valentines decor was pitiful..... they should not have bothered with it.

We had so much fun at A Torre this evening. We were visiting from the South Coast and felt we'd arrived in Porto rather than Crystal Palace. A warm welcome by staff, tasty food and great value for money. If we lived nearby we'd be regulars

Called in for a late dinner, I had grilled sardines followed by sea bass and my partner had calamari followed by grilled octopus, food was superb and cooked to perfection, staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions, will definitely be going back

I had previously checked the menu before arriving at the restaurant for dinner. I wanted to order Bacalhau Grelhado ( grilled dry cod ) but this option was not available on the menu they gave us and I ended up having flacked cod fish which was tasty but I was a bit disappointed not to be able to order the grilled one. The service was good and the waiters were very friendly. Overall it was a pleasant experience!

My husband and I have moved in the area recently and we have been trying different establishments around the Triangle. We have had (many!) disappointments but A Torre has been a culinary revelation! The food is seriously tasty (the fish stew is so good, and I am picky with fish) and the owners genuinely care for their customers and the quality of food they are serving. We will definitely come back!

We usually go in to eat here but currently, due to the circumstances, takeaway is the option. It was amazing. The food was delicious, absolutely amazing. It was also piping hot which is unusual for a takeaway. We highly recommend it.

Un maravilloso restaurante portugués amable. Teníamos un poco de pan blanco con mantequilla. Seguido por PICANTES DE REY PICANTE y luego para el plato principal BACALHAU que había asado ajo en la parte superior Patatas verduras mixtas. Cuando se le preguntó qué vino nos gustaría. Mi amigo dijo rojo. El camarero trajo una botella y la probamos. Tenía la botella Pero no estaba contento de que trajo uno de los vinos de mayor precio a casi 24. En lugar de una bonita casa roja a los 15. Esto fue bastante travieso del camarero Terminamos con un café cada uno. Total que incluía una buena propina 90 para dos.

Cenato senza aver prenotato e convinti dalle precedenti recensioni. Non possiamo che confermare le positive recensioni precedenti. Abbiamo gustato un'abbondante zuppa di pesce, gustosa. Abbiamo intinto il pane... da leccarsi i baffi. Inoltre, trancio di baccalà al forno con una salsa di peperoni a guarnizione. La parte da padrone lo ha fatto lo staff formato da due signori competenti e ospitali. Ci hanno fatto sentire per un momento a casa. Grazie

We went last week for a family birthday. The service & ambience were fantastic & the food & wine were excellent. There was an excellent choice of Portuguese dishes. We will be returning again soon.

We at here twice in the space of a week because the food was fantastic. They provide large portions of great, tasty food that appears fresh. Can't wait to go back!

La comida portuguesa no es para todos, ya que es "básica" y no "elegante", pero eso no impide que sea fantástica cuando los buenos ingredientes se cocinan bien. Tuve el pulpo más tierno que he tenido y nada más puede fallar. El servicio de Jorge fue rápido y más que cortés. Tenemos la intención de convertirnos en clientes habituales.

Ate here to taste Portuguese food of which we have many happy memories. Nice atmosphere even at 6pm. Great welcome from greeter/waiter. Menu as website but prices increased a couple of pounds, maybe due to rate of exchange or the fact that it’s London. Couldn’t really bring ourselves to spend £22.95 on wine that’s around €4 in Portuguese supermarkets, admitted into nearer €11 in restaurants. House wine was £15.95 was fine, another popular cheap Portuguese wine.

Had dinner yesterday with my partner (16/08/19) in this lovely Portuguese Restaurant. The food are very tasty and the staffs very friendly. The portion are big and we could not eat all as we had starters and also bread and olives before.

Visited here yesterday, Had Sardines, Lobster & Melon with ice cream. staff very polite, both food & service were good. Would return.

If you love Portugal then try this out. We had to book for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Once you are at your table the good service begins wine list is great we had 3 bottles of a red called Borba’ between 4’ starters came up. All I say with the spice sausage is I think it would do with a side salad or salsa. The rest of the menu was awesome. As you will see from our photo’s. Good portion sizes on all you order. Lamb chops fantastic cooked to order. Steak was big. Prawns cocktail was lovely. Puddings we’re rich with coffee at the end fresh. I you go out and have a great lunch you will never forget it. I love this place and will be going back soon. A little gem .

Vriendelijk personeel. Interieur schoon en netjes. Eenvoudig en lekker eten. Via TripAdvisor hier gekomen en we zijn er blij mee. Vaderdag menu drie gangen voor 29 pond, twee gangen voor 25 pond.

Visited for the first time with friends following a recommendation and was not disappointed. An authentic looking Portuguese restaurant, serving an excellent range of Portuguese dishes. Warmly welcomed on arrival and service throughout was very good. Started with a special of Whitebait, which was a good portion and very tasty. A mixture of main dishes - sea bream, sea bass, lamb shank, - all well cooked and served with sauté potatoes (plenty of garlic!) and a range of vegetables in a separate dish. Interesting deserts including biscuit cake which looked homemade. Very enjoyable evening and we will certainly be returning.

Acabo de estar aquí para mi cena. Viajo un poco con el trabajo y siempre salgo a comer. No he estado en un restaurante portugués por un tiempo y este lugar es muy bueno. Solo comí mariscos y quedé muy impresionado. Tuve el gambo como entrante y la paella de marisco. Muy buena comida La próxima vez que esté en la zona volveré.
