Food’s OK. Service is generally OK but the order takers/cashiers could be more professional as it can be quite informal/too cool for school. I know it’s an informal place, but you’ve still gotta put the customer first and cut out the quips.

VERY RUDE MANAGER NDELIA!! Obnoxious staff! Do you not care about allergies! I visited a Nando's this evening with my mother and made it clear to the waiter at the till that I have a severe allergy to tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. I emphasized that these ingredients cannot be in my burger, as they make me vomit. Unfortunately, when my food arrived, it contained ketchup. I approached the kitchen and spoke with the manager, NDelia, who was unresponsive and rude. Despite my attempts to explain the seriousness of my allergy, neither the staff nor the manager acknowledged my concerns. The manager displayed a dismissive attitude, rolling her eyes and acting passively aggressively. They failed to grasp the potential consequences of my situation. When I requested to file a complaint, I was informed that there was no area manager available and directed to the website. I asked for her name and contact details, but she refused, claiming she had no pen and continued to mutter under her breath. Meanwhile, I felt increasingly unwell. While waiting for my burger to be remade, I noticed her speaking loudly about me to other customers, which made me uncomfortable. When I confronted her about it, she incited the customers to defend her, leading to a heated exchange. Although I had never been in such a situation before, she insisted I was the one causing a scene, ultimately calling the police. I am appalled at how this was handled. The manager's actions led to me vomiting three times and caused significant distress for both my mother and me. I strongly advise anyone with allergies to avoid this restaurant, as the management clearly does not take them seriously.

Whoever was working on Sunday 25th August between 7pm and 8pm, at Nandos Borehamwood, managed to get my order wrong, by missing out my pitta meal. And then when I called the restaurant multiple times, it was left ringing for ages, until someone picked up and then hung up straight away without saying a word.

Small, fairly new venue, staff friendly and super quick. Very clean and a decent experience Well done Nandos team Borehamwood

Met up with the kids for lunch and did a mix and match kinda theme and we all shared a bit of everything. Had the four lemon/herb thighs and also had the butterflied chicken breast with sides. Bottomless drinks and bottomless ice cream so you could actually spend the afternoon chatting. Well worth it

I ordered a delivery from the Nandos website as I have done before successfully, sometimes I collect the order but I was tired and didn't want to drive. I left the same instructions as I always do for the delivery driver. My address is a house name and not A number. The driver called me, I tried to explain that my house has a name but not a house number and he Hung up the phone on my whilst I tried to tell him my Road is a dead end and I'm at the end of the road. I Called him back and he said no house number no delivery and hung up. My girlfriend and I were really hungry so I Got changed and drove to the Nandos. I asked for the manager to explain my situation. I Guy said he Was the manager but offered no sympathy or understanding and being a manager myself dealing with the public day to day, he lacked the skills to deal with the situation. I'm disappointed and won't return to Nandos for food in the future. I have to wait until next week for my refund with no apology or no offer of compensation for the inconvenience caused.

My birthday and we went to Nando's which has been refurbished and looks really good. Good and friendly staff. The chicken was so tender and juicy. They have changed the salads slightly and we discovered the rainbow salad is the thing to have with our chicken/chips. The waitress kindly offered to change the side salad we ordered which was all tomatoes but very nice except I can't eat that many tomatoes. She was most helpful. The place was clean and tidy with staff clearing all the time. Keep it up Nando's.

The wait was 25 minutes. We repeatedly asked how long until our food. It then got to 50 minutes later after we had ordered and we asked how long. They said 5minutes and one of the staff were being rude and disrespectful towards their customers. The manager was nice and tried to sort everything out, then gave us free deserts to compensate, however did not change the fact that the staff weren't even bothered to ask us if we needed anything whilst waiting. instead gave attitude towards us as customers. This was horrible to receive as a customer, who had waited 25 minutes for a table, and then waited a further 50 minutes until their food had arrived. there were many other tables that had been waiting over an hour as well

Worst branch of Nando's I have ever been to! Rude staff not fluent and English, unhelpful and no customer service. I asked for a Sunset burger but would like chicken breast instead of chicken thighs in it. They refused saying it cannot be done. Laughable when I have NEVER had a problem in ANY other branch when asking for this. Absolute ignorance. Zapeta (Waitress) just couldn't be bothered and refused. Suggested ordering a normal chicken burger and ahe would add chilli jam and cheese 🤣🤣what a joke. She doesn’t even know the menu. I showed her the menu and explained the Sunset burger ingredients were red pepper churney etc etc. She ignored this and said Chilli jam and cheese would do. I took her suggestion for fun so I could make a point of showing her it was a joke. When she asked how the food was I pointed out the garlic bread was cold and burnt. There was a teaspoon of chilli jam on the burger bun some soggy lettuce a slice of unmelted cold cheese and a tiny chicken breast with no flavour to it. Ordered Medium heat but tasted of nothing. The burger was TINY laughably small. Kids size. The chicken breasts must be grown in a petri dish they are so small they look like mini burgers now. They are shrinking smaller every 6mths or so. Such a shame when Nandos used to be good food and value for £ now it’s expensive for what it is and the portions are miniscule. Even the table next to us was saying the same and ordered double chips bcus their dinner was kids size. I can’t imagine how tiny the Nandinos meals are....probably fir for a toddler and not a child. The place was overall grubby and understaffed. No proper on any tables. When i asked i was given a tiny sachet like you get in a coffee shop. Never been more disappointed and will not visit this dirty rude understaffed branch again. Sums up Borehamwood too. Emailed Nando’s head office too as their staff need retraining in customer service and knowing their menu.

Loving the new bigger restaurant. Meant even though it was really busy we were seated in 15 mins. Food came quickly, and as always was delicious and we had great service. We are regular customers at Nando’s and have never had an issue dining at the Portsmouth restaurant.

Service is usually quick, even though the restaurant is almost always packed. Never had a bad meal here and staff are always friendly and helpful.

A quick stop for a cheeky Nando's. Usual menu options and food was freshly prepared and tasty as normal. Service was friendly and fast as well.

Best nandos I’ve had. Everything was delicious very hot and very fresh tasting. Will definitely go back. Had chicken chips and corn which was also very hot so butter actually melted. Great wasn’t expecting it to be so nice so pleasantly surprised

went to Nandos in Borehamwood, with a friend for dinner and could not get on ordering with the app so we went to the counter and ordered our meal, it came out in a reasonable time, a very nice meal with a good service

Visited during covid restrictions in January. Were shown to a table - and lefrt to it. Took a while to figure out we had to order by phone. Food took a while and was average at best. Very over-priced. Nandos are milking it; there is better value at pretty much anywhere else (except pizza hut which is even more overpriced).

The service and friendly staff made this one of the better Nando’s. The portions were a good size as well unlike many other Nando’s I have visited

My wife and I were looking forward to a tasty Nando’s chicken and a cold beer. I placed our order at the counter for our favourite chicken dishes and our choice of beers; this was accepted and I paid and went and sat down with my wife. A short while later our meals arrived and we were told they had run out of beer and we could have soft drinks instead. We did not want soft drinks and I was very annoyed that they had knowingly accepted my order and taken my money when they had no beer to sell. I told them I didn’t want the food without the beer and a refund was required , this took nearly 15 minutes to get as they only had 1 till working. Once this was received we went to Prezzo a couple of doors away and were treated very well.

I don’t often go out with my other half but this night we decided to go out for dinner something chill and simple so we went to nandos in borehamwood. The server “Melissa” provided 5* service ensured we had everything we needed and was very nice and easy to talk to in case we needed anything or help with the menu. Shame I can’t give her a tip directly.

We went to Nando’s Borehamwood this evening. I was served frozen mash potato, which I returned and asked for a refund. We went to to get said refund to which we were told by the manageress that because we’d paid by apple pay it would take five days to refund.She wanted our name, address, telephone number for the £2.95 refund. She was not really interested saying, “she would have to print off the paperwork for the refund.” At which point we told her to shove it. We were not prepared to wait 20minutes for a £2.95 refund for an inedible product. The whole point is , we were served food which if eaten could be dangerous due to it being still frozen and when we went to get our refund was greeted by a disinterested manager who didn’t want to print off the paperwork as it was too much bother. I’m not that desperate for £2.95 so will not be going to Nando’s again.

Tasty and hot food….eventually. Despite the restaurant bot being half full, the service was slow but worth it when it finally got to us.

Brilliant customer service from Dylan , couldn’t have asked for a better server. He was polite , happy and his overall service was brilliant. He made us smile and feel very welcomed after a long day at work. All Nando’s need more Dylan’s !

Very good. Good service and food arrived quickly and was delicious. Only issue was the tills were down which meant we had to wait slightly longer to order.

We came here for a late lunch; not too many problems with the restaurant, and the staff were friendly, but when we asked for a cup of tea with our food, the woman serving said she'd bring it right over. About ten minutes later, our food arrived, but there was still no sign of the tea, and it was apparent the staff had forgotten, so we had to ask for it again.

I visited Nando’s in Borehamwood on Sunday with my partner and had quite a mixed experience. Service was really quick despite the restaurant being busy. We ordered a platter - a whole chicken with four regular sides. The chicken was really tasty and nice big portion. The spicy rice, saucy spinach and chips were delicious, especially paired with the chicken. However, we tried the new tender stem broccoli and they just weren’t cooked long enough so they were too crunchy and unpleasant to eat which was a shame. Also, we went up to get two extra plates by the cutlery and drinks and none of them were clean which was disgusting - they all had food smeared on the sides, I couldn’t find a clean plate in the pile.Some improvements needed in this restaurant.

Great helpful staff. You get seated and then go and order your food. Sometimes a starter can arrive before you have got back to the seat. Good, quick service. The chicken is amazing, so tender and very good flavour. Never had a bad meal in Nando's whatever time of day we have been.

First time visit to Nando’s. Gloria was very helpful with food choices and general ordering! Food very good.

If you’ve been to Nando’s before then you know what to expect - the process is like clockwork. You get seated, you place your order at the till, you grab your utensils and sauces, your food gets served, they ask if everything is fine, then it’s home time. Surprisingly, the volume of the music was quieter than the usual but it’s actually so noisy with all the cluttering of everything. Staff service was mixed, they evidently have new staff on training. Oh, food wise, they’re all good, although the portion was questionable.

What can I say... it’s Nando’s, it’s chicken, it’s good.. always worth a cheeky Nando’s. Liking the new menu additions too.

We chose to eat here as none of the other places on elstree Main Street looked particularly pleasant.It serves a typical Nando’s menu, and is essence a decent chicken an chips establishment.The restaurant is on the smaller side and was quite busy for a Sunday evening. Nevertheless we had a decent meal.

Excellent meal at Nando's. Good succulent chicken, fresh crispy salad. Staff (especially the lady with the long red hair) who is always friendly, cheerful and helpful and the tall chap who stands in for the manager on occasions. Restaurant is always busy but clean and tidy. Good meal as usual.

Been coming to Nandos since it opened here, got to be 8 years at least, always lovely and staff always helpful.

I visited this nandos with my friends and my boyfriend for some food was starving. Seated quickly wasn’t busy after 8pm.

Great place to dine in, ordering over the phone sometimes is a nightmare but they do get busy! Overall 4 stars. Good job!

We visited this Nandos for a late meal. The service was a bit hit and miss while the food was reasonably good. The restaurant was cold and had quite a deserted feel to it. Reasonably clean.

As soon as we walked into Nando’s a horrific stench filled my nose holes and I immediately new this was going to be a bad experience but my kids desperately wanted to go there so I sucked it up. I ordered the lemon and herb chicken, it was tiny and I wanted to vomit after eating it. Overall the food was disgusting and have had to tell my kids we are never going there again.

Nandos is nandos, what more do you need to know! Small restaurant with tables fairly close here but ample parking at retail park or cinema opposite.

Popped here for a hearty lunch before heading to the studios!

I have been to Nando’s from when it opened in BorehamWood to every time I have guests with kids.

We had a late dinner here and were very pleased with our food. Between us we had 1/4 chicken, supergrain salad, macho peas and vegetable cataplana. All were very good but my favourite was the supergrain salad which was delicious. I shall be having that as a main course next time I go to Nandos for sure. The chicken was very succulent and well-cooked.

Same food and service as any other Nando’s, but at least you know what you get. Came on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy as attracts a young crowd, had to wait for table

Not a lot to say, it's a typical Nandos. Popular with the youngsters so it does get busy, compared to some other eateries in the area it's not the best value - more somewhere to hang out with friends.

We recently visited while at the studios. The chicken dishes we had were great but the accompanying chips were average in quality and portion size was small. They also had run out of coffee? How does that happen?

We ordered a boneless sharers platter the portion of chicken was pathetic between two people one breast split in two with two little bits on skewers that were mainly soggy skin. The chicken was over cooked and dry inside, for a restaurant claiming to be chicken orientated they did not provide quality food.

Lovely staff and quick service. Asked if we enjoyed our meal and took our plates quickly. The food is amazing as always. Couldn't fault it at all. Only downside is it's very noisy and some of the tables are very close together so you feel like you are having dinner with strangers

Reasonably priced tasty food easy for a quick bite. Staff are always helpful and friendly, great for when you don't feel like cooking at home.

17 of us were looking to have a leavers lunch for one of our colleagues. This was for a Friday at midday which is their busiest time! I called the evening prior and spoke to Charlotte who told me that I could come in half an hour before we wanted to eat and they would see what they could do.

No complaints at all. Not overly busy as we went on a Sunday around 6pm. Had the new halloumi sticks (not bad) and the hummus which is always good with warm pita . Chicken wraps and sides served well and tasty as always

Another branch of Nando's with the same traditional menu. The service is quite good but the last time I was there, I'd ordered a takeaway and it took about 25 mins for it to be prepared. Order ahead on the app if you can go avoid delays.

been going to this restaurant for sometime now , but this time we decided to have a take away , we phoned and placed our order and was told to come in 15 minutes when i arrived there was a que as there was one till only opened the lady on the other till was taking phone orders my take away arrived , nothing wrong with the meal but today they seemed disorganised

South African franchise that has exploded in the UK - just as good as in SA. It is not cheap to eat here but worth it!

We were stopping at the holiday inn after a day at the making of harry potter and noticed there was a nandos nearby. My wife suffers from gluten and dairy intolerance so we know nandos restaurants cater for her needs. On arrival it was very busy but we were met by a friendly member of staff who told us there was a possible 15 min wait. We were soon seated, and when ordering the food the staff member checked everything was suitable for my wifes dietry needs. When the food arrived it was delicious and plentiful. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I like the food at Nando’s but it is always busy and usually pretty loud. Not somewhere for a quiet bite as a couple but good as a group with teens.

This place seems to be always busy with the service relatively quick. However, be prepared to wait around 30 minutes or so if you are there in the evenings. We ordered the vegetable wraps here which turned out to be quite good.

So pleased they have moved with the times food great large airy seating so you don’t feel you are eating with strangers

My first two stars review. I am sorry Nando's. It used to be a wonderful place for vegetarians. Nando's does our favourite vegetarian burgers. We went there on pre- Halloween weekend and were shocked and super disappointed. Borehamwood Nando's have lost at least four regular customers from my family.

Visited this restaurant for a family birthday (teenager choice). Got table first then queued for food. Found it very hard to get myself understood, as it looks as if the till is pre programmed and doesn't really deviate much from the menu. Also didn't help that the till operator persisted in mumbling even when I explained I have hearing loss. Food arrived and there was an error with the order,(didn't match our receipt or request) but we couldn't be bothered to try and rectify it as we just wanted to eat and get out. In fairness, food was well cooked and served hot but overall I don't think we will be returning.

After the heavens opened my mum and I headed inside to be greeted immediately and shown to a fab table. Menu had so much choice, even for vegetarians. Ordered quickly and got a Nandos card code as we forgot our card. Food came quickly and was delicious, drinks were bottomless and there were so many sauces available. Staff were fab and it was very well priced. Will recommend and return.

We often use this Nando's to get take away dinners for dinners at work. They are always served quickly, normally within 15 minutes of the phone order.

When I visited nando's last Wednesday the food was lovely! I ate the chicken burger that was plainsh i also had a side of garlic bread and chips. This was delicious! On the kids menu you can choose from either the bottomless frozen yoghurt or the apple or strawberry cordial (this is not the only food on the kids menu)! I usually choose the frozen yoghurt. There are many different flavours these are changed daily. If you buy a soft drink you can get a refill. The refills that you can get are coke, diet coke, fanta and sprite. You can also have ice. If you're not a fan of fizzy drinks there is an option of water! The refill station bit is self service. I would recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!

Quite regularly go to Nando's (20% NHS Discount) and the food is always good. Not much more to say. Docked a star because they're too stingy with the mayo.

Very fatty environment. The tables were not cleaning property.You could see the tables were full of fat.

Great service from a young team of staff. Everyone really pleasant, especially the greeter. Food was really really good for a chain restaurant. Peri peri chicken thighs are awesome.

Visited that place several times and each time the same bad experience. Greasy food, long waiting time for your order, staff with no enthusiasm.

I've visited Nando's on many occasions and it is always wonderful. Simple and tasty, and for a decent price. Staff are polite and the food is quick

Jumped of the train after a day in town and needed something to eat. This was pretty standard fair. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was at best ok, but average price. Not huge portions, but just enough. Will not live long in the memory but was alright if your tired and hungry and want something quick.

Over priced and no longer worth the extra spend. Real pity as their good used to be amazing and was worth the treat.

Ate here a while ago and the food arrived as luke warm. Sent it back for recooking. Complained to HQ and received a token but, even the 2nd time I wasn't impressed with the cost to food ratio. I don't understand the hype! It's a pleasant setting/brand but, not one for me.

It's hard to comment on a chain but the staff are always very welcoming and the food is always very promptly delivered to the table and as tasty as you would expect if Nando's is your thing.

We have visited a few times because they serve great chicken and i love the corn on the cob. Good range of sauces but overpriced chicken/sides and i would expect higher cleanliness from a place where people actually eat. Not many choices for beverages.

Popped into Nandos for a quick lunch last friday, and once again not disappointed. Good portions, and good choices, tasty food for a lunch for early dinner a good choice.

As above the youngsters love the place. The service is minimal the portions are average . I think its a generational thing . I asked a server for some help and he looked outraged? I guess I dont get the Nandos vibe.

4 of us decided to visit here on a busy night. Seen quickly to a spare table , only 2 left. Ordered at bar. Served within 3 mins with drinks and food followed in 5 mins. Good chicken and spicy chips. Very busy happy atmosphere. Staff good.

Decided to have a Nando's lunch for our last day in the office before Christmas. Arrived just after 12pm as we knew it would get busy. By the time we had made our choices I joined the queue and it took 20 minutes to place our order.There was no hassle from the staff but they were friendly and polite.Both had a chicken burger with chips and a refillable drink which came to £26!!!! We waited nearly 30 minutes for our food. I appreciate it was busy but surely they must have expected this?The food was good and the chicken good quality but still feel this was over-priced.

Sweet potato wedges were not properly cooked...still hard. Chicken was lovely and medium spicy as ordered.

Ordered via the app for a certain time and they didn't disappoint! On time and absolutely roasting hot!! Really nice! Although the rice was spicier than in used to! All in all really enjoyed the food!!

My wife and I called in for lunch, we was served the food promptly all looked good. My wife was part way through a chicken rap and bit into raw chicken. We brought this to the attention of the staff, at first they claimed it can't be raw as they probe the chicken, however you could see it was raw. He offered to cook a new meal but my wife was put off. They offered a free meal for 2, at any Nando's. this came as a voucher in a sealed envelope. When we looked at the voucher it was for a combo meal. To be honest I don't think we will bother. You would think a restaurant that specialised in chicken would be cooking it to perfection. Poor on every level.

We were stuck in traffic on the A1M as M1 had a bad accident, we stopped off in Borehamwood to have something to eat.We fancied something tasty, so decided to go to Nando's, BIG MISTAKE. We ordered 2 times butterfly chicken breasts medium heat, with two sides each, chips, rice, salad and coleslaw, we also had a small bowl of mixed nut which were the best part of the meal, and they were nice and spicy, and two refillable soft drinks. The bill came to £30.40.The chicken was the smallest chicken we have ever seen, and as for being medium heat, there was no heat at all, very bland.We were really disappointed and will not being going back, as we felt we did not get value for, or any taste in the chicken which was promised by ordering medium heat

I can't believe to tell you how cold it was in there! We all ate in coats and scarves! Every time to door is opened it lets in such a chill (we were not seated by the door). Heating is definitely required!Main meals came out half way through starters (not even 10 minutes from starters being served)Plain butterfly chicken was so dry that it was inedible but other 3 meals and starters were fine.We ate and got out of there so quickly due to the cold that we didn't stay for dessert or more drinks!
