Nando's in Birmingham

Wouldn't normally go to Nandos but had a voucher. Ordered a £50 vegetarian selection from the menu for takeaway which took them 40 minutes to get ready. Got home to find 2 items missing. The food we did get was tiny portions (ordered large sizes) of overpriced tasteless food.

My family's visit to this restaurant was an absolute nightmare. Within minutes of arriving, my one-year-old daughter started vomiting, and instead of receiving any assistance from the staff, we were met with indifference and neglect. Not a single staff member bothered to offer us help or even provide basic supplies like tissues. Despite my repeated requests for assistance, we were blatantly ignored. Eventually, after enduring the ordeal on our own, a staff member begrudgingly brought out some tissues in a bag as if it was a burden to do so. This experience completely contradicts the supposed child-friendly environment that Nando's claims to offer. Needless to say, I will never set foot in this particular branch again due to the consistently appalling service.

Not an enjoyable experience. I have been to a lot of nandos and have never had so poor an experience. Initial problem with bad customer service regarding seating and overcharged for meal.

Decor needs updated. Booth seats are ripped. Tables not cleaned properly.

Young Asian lad with beard is super moody throws ur plate at you and the glasses. Walks around with an unhappy face as you can tell he hates working here. Odd vibe in the place and it has a musty smell to the building and takes ten staff members to make a table. The place needs a clean it’s the dirtiest Nandos I’ve ever been to and needs a refurb.

Wow what can i say this is the worst Nando ever i was placed in a ripped up seat and the tables are all dirty floors are disgusting i had to leave & go to Frankie & bennys to eat

Just went to Nando’s Fort and had this unexpected treat today I’m eating here almost every day and always been satisfied with everything. I’ve entered at 20:20 and the restaurant was half empty, I asked for a table for 1 but was told the waiting time is 30min I replied ok can you please ofer me a table and I’ll wait if that’s the case ? They said no you can’t have a table I asked again “ you want me to go outside and come back in 30min ?” The answer was yes with a huge smile on his face I couldn’t believe it I repeat The restaurant was half empty and outside was raining Well done Nando’s That’s amazing how you treat your customers keep it up

I love nandoes but CHRIST, the fort gives nandoes a bad rep. Children screaming and causing havoc climbing on tables and chairs. Nandoes or The wacky warehouse??We waited about 45 minutes for 2 meals. Also, asked a lady in a chequered shirt how long it would be and she just walked off . I almost laughed it was very strange. Then asked her again if she knew how long our food was going to take and she said yes and walked off again. I mean I thought I asked a question but guess not lol.

Honestly can not rate the manager on shift tonight enough she was amazing it was rammed she found me a table very quickly all the staff were happy even though it was busy food was impeccable nandos you have an amazing team at This branch

We arrived and waited 10 minutes b4 we got a seat which was fine the staff was fantastic we then got our table and ordered our food after a hour and 25 minutes our food still hadn't arrived so I went to find the manager to tell him while we had been sitting there why have customers who came after us was getting there food b4 us he did apologize but we still waited another 20 minutes after that I don't get to see my son that often as for my work and I took him out for his 16th birthday even though it was a week late

Total disaster! I love Nandos, but today's experience will keep me in distance for a while. Food was ordered and we were waiting for half an hour. Seeing people who ordered after me receive their food I went to ask for ours, and notice food was ready on the counter. After couple minutes delivered to the table and was cold! Hubby resigned I was too hungry. Chips cold, chicken warmish but after eating first piece the second one was too cold to continue. Decided to take it home to warm it up.

First time in a Nandos today. Food was very nice but expensive. Service was excellent but the restaurant was very cold due to it being a cold day and the door getting stuck open all the time. Will be back again one day.

Me and my husband went Nando food was lovely. The only thing I did not like it. It was very cold and the door wasn’t shut properly and people keep coming and left the door open which is make more cold inside some point my husband get up and shut the door but stuff don’t care then I have to say I need to speak to somebody so people can enjoy food when I talk to somebody supervisor, I wish I know the name I don’t think she cared about anything and attitude was really bad I was talking and she don’t care which make me more angry. I paid there and we did not enjoy food and we end up with like a bad service, I never go there again

Standard Nandos, decent food and service.

The food was cold, missing extra dips I paid for, the fully loaded chips had no peri salt on and little toppings, broccoli was hard and cold, chicken skin was flubbery (not crispy), both of the halloumi starters were cold and burnt, didn’t enjoy any of it. I went up multiple times to ask for changes that much I just didn’t have the energy to go up any longer and left some of the food. I was very disappointed with this visit. The only good point of the visit was how professional Dan was who helped us so much and was very friendly, we felt bad so didn’t want to be a pain due to how many times we’ve already. This has been the worst visit in terms of food quality within this store, since new staff have started and old staff have left it has gotten worse.

Ordered a delivery Only 1/3 of order came Cold Pure waste of money and time

I stopped here today to get takeaway Nando's after some Christmas shopping. I hadn't been to Nando's in ages and was pleasantly surprised. The person at the till, Dan was brilliant. Really friendly, knowledgeable and looked genuinely happy to be there and help. It makes such a difference. I didn't wait long and my order was ready, all my sauces I ordered were there and I was on my way. Lovely clean restaurant, quiet as it was early afternoon, but a nice vibe. Food was spot on! Hot, tasty and the chicken breast wasn't dry. Sometimes with a half chicken, the breast is a let down but this wasn't! Well done for a great experience Nando's.

Lovely friendly and clean restaurant, the staff are amazing! Especially Dan and Shamara they go over and beyond to make sure you are happy and satisfied with your food. This Nandos is the only one I'll go to, I definitely recommend it.

I’ve been a customer here for several years, for the first time today there was 6 tables empty and I was told there was a 40 min wait as there was a queue wait, I asked if I could wait in the waiting area which was empty when a lady called Sanita (seemed to be the manager) was called by the waiter who said we was not allowed to wait inside ( the restaurant was around half full!)I had my wife and two daughters age 2 and 5 and we had caught a taxi there at this time another couple arrived with there child who were told the same but now sanita said there was a 20 minute wait when I asked her she had told me 40?.. We waited by the front door with the other couple to realise she had lied as there was no collection customers or queue waiting before us to when we was seated. I felt a must to mention this today as Sanita and her staff are there to run this restaurant hopefully at there best but after what had happened and we were about to leave there was a young indian asian of origin waiter cleaning tables who was blatantly wiping the tables and wiping remains on the tables straight onto the floor where next customers were to walk and sit. Sanita was walking around showing her importance this also I could not realise why all anybody wants is kindness, clean good service and hopefully hot food.

Foods fine. Standard Nando’s and always nice however over the past few weeks depending on the shift that’s working I’m getting conflicting info. It may seem trivial but the only reason I really ever eat at Nando’s is for the vusa sauce. There’s nothing quite like it on the market anywhere. For takeaways, it’s always been fine for me to take a couple of pots away with me however some times I’m told this isn’t allowed, and other times I’m actually asked if I want to take any. There’s no consistency. I don’t like any of the other sauces and since Nando’s stopped selling Vusa in bottles (for some absurd reason it’s clearly the most popular sauce as it’s always mostly gone) I’ve always been forced to take it away in the takeaway pots. Either we’re allowed or we’re not. You need to make your minds up. If not, it’s extremely disappointing. Considering I’m spending £38 for some chicken and chips for two people, I’m sure two pots of sauce isn’t going to break the bank.

Was waiting for over an hour for my food, even though I saw it waiting on the side at least 20 minutes into waiting by time it got to me it was freezing cold and had to be remade so had to wait an additional time. A boy named Hassan who was a server was just walking up and down clueless even though there was multiple dishes waiting to be served to tables. Overall I was deeply disappointed with the service.

The young lad on the door today at 18.30pm with the durag was extremely rude as soon as we walked in. Myself and my family came in to get a table, he told us there was a 30 min wait which was ok. My partner asked if there’s such a long wait why is there over 6+ tables empty. The lad sucked his teeth and asked my partner “have you never been Nandos before” then started to suck his teeth again. When my partner told him he had been Nandos before the guy advised “you should know then enit, there a que of people walking round the shops and there coming back you need to wait” and sucked his teeth again. It’s not polite, welcoming or acceptable. I advise you educate your staff on manners. As someone who used to work at Nandos, I would never greet or speak to customers the way he did it’s disgusting.

Food was good as expected & quick, staff was also much nicer than other Nando’s, special mention to Princess, who I collected my food from!

Quick service, takeaway was quick and easy

Just ordered some chicken wings! Only to find out the person grilling it (Ryan) it was his first day TRAINING! WOOOOW! He done an amazing job! I love food so I always want it top knotch! Asked for it to be well done and everything surpassed me! Keep up that kind of standard of grilling Ryan! This nandos is the best I've had from the Fort to date!

Never again got my order wrong so had to throw it all in the bin..burnt chicken..plain fries given instead of peri peri fries and i asked for colsaw for a side dish i got salad instead ..waste of money went on 14/08/23 around 12ish for lunch and they completely gave the wrong things I didn't have time to go back as my break was finished and this was the fort nandos Birmingham

Food is always upto mark apart from Worcester store! Service was amazing here. It’s an auto run outlet. As Manager was lead by example kind of attitude. Whole team was doing their job with passion and with integrity. Well done guys 👏

Me & my husband go to this Nando’s quite often. Every time we’ve gone it’s been amazing and the staff are more very welcoming but only down fall he found hair on his Halloumi but before he even ate it I pointed it out and they sorted it out other than that we actually rate this Nando’s our most convenient Nando’s too! Always hot and fresh food and the vibes are nice and chill. Regardless of the hair on the halloumi we still go here because anyone can make a mistake but fr these guys cook the chicken just how I like it. Always 😍😍

We turned up without booking and Dan was very lovely and accommodating, he got us sat right away. The food was delicious, fresh and hot! The staff were very friendly.

Food was nice. Took longer than expected to arrive but that’s fine if they are busy, and the delivery driver from Deliveroo wasn’t the friendliest. I think it’s expensive and for that reason I don’t order as often. Nice though.

I had a very very pleasant experience here, Eeman was very patience serving me as I’m new to Nando's in a whole. She was kind, and explained everything to me, no matter how many questions I asked, she not once got flustered with me which is very rare in todays service experiences. Then when packaging my food Tariku was amazing, the atmosphere he presented lifted the whole place. He asked me if I needed anything, ect and from observation I could tell he bought lots of positivity in the place whilst he was serving too. Amazing staff team, very quick service and good food, would 100% recommend.

I love a nandos and the fort is definitely the best one I’ve been to for a while, it’s definitely improved recently. The food is always fresh and hot at this one and it seems to be the only nandos in birmingham that doesn’t cremate the garlic bread!

First time visiting Nados, didn't really know how the service worked, we was shown to our seats and left to figure it out ourselves, we was just told the table number and that's all ! Food was amazing tho to bad about the FOH Service

Take to long to clean and clear tables and seats. I was seated next to obvious child foot prints on the seat. Not impressed. The food was box standard.

Been to this particular nandos about 4-5 times. My last visit was the best. The food has improved, I haven't noticed the name of the gentleman on the grill but he was a tall black boy. Staff seems younger than I remember but food and cleanliness is better than before. It wasn't bad before, it's just better now. Couldn't hear the music in the seating area but I could hear it in the toilet. Not really something that will affect your experience, just something I noticed. Come here for succulent & tasty chicken! Don't forget the peri peri fries ☺️

It's ok, I only go here because my husband likes it, the portions have got smaller, over the years.

I visited with my partner on the 30/12/22 about 6.30pm. obviously given the time we had to wait about 40 mins ish which I think is expected in most nandos, especially on a friday night. The young girl ( very pretty with cute makeup- white dots near her eyes) who was sorting out the seating was brilliant (so sorry you told me your name and I have completely forgot). All the staff seemed like a family and everything was like a well oiled machine. When there was a spillage, all the staff were quick to get it sorted and helping each other. When a young man was cleaning the plates ( slim, short black hair, pretty) he asked us how our meal was and he was super quick getting all the tables ready for the next customer. Honestly I was so impressed with how nice the atmosphere was in there and I will definitely be visiting again! I also at the end of the meal spoke to the manager and the young girl about how happy I was with everything. I encourage anyone who has had a nice experience to do the same because honestly people who work in the food industry have to deal with so much rubbish that it's nice to feel appreciated. Appreciate the staff that provide a service 💕

Everyone loves a Nando's, and the one we had at The Fort was particularly good. Succulent and well-flavoured chicken, chips covered in peri-peri salt. Restaurant was full but we got seated and served very quickly. Will be coming again, next shopping trip!

Turned up unknowingly 1/2hr before close, was seated but not advised of closing time.(this will make more sense later on) Went to the till to order where a manager rudely and abruptly spoke over me from behind said “haven’t got that!” As I was unsure who she was speaking to I repeated my order to be rudely told again “haven’t got that!” due to the way I was being spoken to I was slightly confused so asked what are you telling me here, the manager was extremely sarcastic and started listing what they did have, at this point I left. As I was leaving I did notice I had interrupted her eating and maybe this is why she was so rude! I understand we turned up 30 mins before close and you might not have much food left, but simply letting us know when you sat us down would have been fine, there was no need to be so aggressive!

Great tasty chicken, chips & corn on the cob/rice...will be back.

Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Food was good, standard Nando's. Service was adequate and reasonably prompt. Ice machine not working for some reason.

We often visit this Nandos, we cant bare to go to another one, the customer service is brilliant the staff always go above and beyond, been going for around 4/5 years and never had an issue. Food is always hot and the one time they did forget an order they couldn’t do enough to correct it. Be back soon :)

I ordered online the food took over a hour to come the chicken was let's say very undercooked when blood was still coming out the chicken nandos is my favourite food and take away but to receive food like this undercooked freezing and even my dad turned away from is such a shame

Service is slow so many staff not enough customer service . Young lad appears slow and it’s as if he don’t want to be there.

Took my daughter for a treat completely disappointing I only ordered for my daughter,I noticed they've got a member of staff dedicated to packing home delivery food,in the meantime all instore food is sitting backed up on counter including my daughters! I sat and watched for a good while when I approached the manager she gave ne my foid which was cold I was fuming she said she cook me fresh which I refused I asked her why they're more concerned on getting home deliverys out and not instore she just shrugged her shoulders!! I won't be going back out of principle...

Food was decent. I think staff needed training to be more professional though.

This was the first time at this Nando's food was lovely service was great, the only problem that I had was I seen a worker her vans shoes were absolutely filthy like covered in dirt I only noticed this after eating and I felt sick. I think if your working in a food establishment your clothes and shoes should look clean. Other than that everything else was ok

I love Nando's. I try not to have it too often so that the experience is always GREAT. Whenever I go we have a sharing platter and I always have the bottomless drink. It is a wonderful experience. Thank you NANDO'S 😊

Very pleased with our meal here. I had the spicy chickpea burger with peri fries and crunchy seeded slaw- a bit of extra Virgin olive oil did the job. My son had quarter of chicken with 3 sides. Daughter's in law had butter milk chicken and two sides. Grandson enjoyed his little plate as did the younger grandson. We also has 4 glasses of filtered water. In total £44.70

I would rate this restaurant 0 stars if I could .As a family of 4 , 3 of us are vegetarians and 1 person is a meat eater however when our food arrived after a long 50 minute wait , all the plates contained chicken meals . Then the second we questioned the manager , Wayne who had an attitude he tried to blame us . Also mid conversation, Wayne stormed off before I even finished my sentence and we had to ask for an apology to be given .

I would give Zero star if I could. We ordered 4 meals 3 vegetarians and 1 chicken burger meal. After 50 mins we received our meal but we got all chicken dishes . Manager blamed us for not making it clear. How can vegetarian people order chicken thighs. Manager Wayne was very rude and his colleague who took our order is liar. I actually asked her about vegetarian chickpea burger and she said they very popular. I don't understand How can she say that we ordered chicken burgers and chicken thighs. She blamed us for her mistake and manager Wayne blamed us as well. He was full attitude. Instead of apology we got attitude. 1hrs later we received our meals. I didn't wanted to eat there but took my niece and my daughter and my sister for dinner so I had to stay there. But I will never go there again and I will make an official complaint about the staff.

Food was OK But service was bad

We got told to sit down at a dirty table, when we sat down a member of staff was so rude and barked at us “wait till the tables cleared next time before you sit down” we explained the guy at the doors told us to which he replied “no he didn’t” even though he did? he was so rude and thought that was acceptable customer service. Our food came 1 hour late and the only nice person was a woman who helped us with our order due to it taking so long, definitely won’t be going there again.

Great nandos! Had a lovely lunch. Really friendly staff and lovely restaurant.

Service was ok but really slow. Waiter also seemed moody an no one came round checking if our food was fine an if we where ok. We also had to aks/ remind staff to bring our icecream to our table about 3 times.

The ½ chicken was just okay usually tastes better at other Nandos. But what really bothered me was that once I got home it was clear my meal hadn't agreed with me. I went to the bathroom, three times in 90 minutes.

On the last two occasions I had to wait 20 minutes beyond my online pick up order time.

I tried to order online and it didn't work. I therefore went into the shop to place take way order. May I add I have not ordered from Nandos from before lockdown. As I entered the host at the door greeted me. I told him I would like to place a take away order. He replied that the till were cash only something round the machines are not working properly but he would call his manager which he did. I sensed he was new for some reason. He asked if he could speak to her and her manners was appalling she responded to him with "What" ( short petite lady with a super tanned makeup look with black her). She proceeded to walk over to us but her facial expression clearly showed she was bothered. He asked what the best option was as I only had a card. She responded " go online and order and you have to wait 30mins" it was the way she spoke to me from then I decided im not spending my money here. Make it worse as I walked out to return to my car I saw there was a cash point two shops down why didn't neither of them just said that. Customer service is poor and if that is the quality of management they have working there then the standards are below par.
