Nando's Birmingham - New Street in Birmingham

I’m extremely frustrated with my recent visit to Nando’s. Despite declaring a pineapple allergy when ordering, my burger arrived with a huge pineapple ring—something not even part of the meal. This made me sick and ruined my trip, as I was unwell for the next two days. The manager handled the situation but seemed unconcerned. I had to approach her for a refund and wait while she dealt with a delivery, apologising for being busy. After just being sick in the bathroom, I needed to leave quickly, and this lack of urgency was disappointing. This experience has made me rethink visiting Nando’s again. Food allergy safety should always be a priority, and this was a clear failure.

Very pleasant manager and staff..Food was prompt and hot..They still do bottomless drinks....Very efficient delivery of meals.. didn't see anyone 'waiting'..placed next to Victoria square..

Very tasty food in a pleasant atmosphere.

It's hard for me to give a 1 star to a place that doesn't deserve it.... but here we are. I don't have anything good to say, poor service, slow, very poor food, tesco own brand oven chips uncle Ben's rice from the microwave and a dub par McDonald's burger with massive costs. Not one good thing. . Way to loud, like walking in a club, could hear exactly other talk.

My girls and I went a little before Iftar, we were accommodated promptly and the staff were so nice! They provided us with dates and drinks to ensure we had something to break our fast with if our food didn’t come in time. We were swiftly and the staff were very kind and understanding. It was a wholesome experience! The food great as always .

Ordered a mushroom wrap the inside lettuce was dirty. Staff didn’t do anything apart from apologies my meal was horrible would not recommend it

The store was somehow dark. We were seated in a poorly lit area beside the stairs.

Good stop this Nando’s. Service was very friendly and fast. Food was hot and tasty, and this restaurant actually remembered the baste for the corn on the cob. Most forget! It has a very nice seating area and has stairs to the back which I assume is an overflow when it gets busy. Downstairs has a sort of brutalist/ industrial vibe with pipes and ducting above and no ceiling. Was a great visit. Thanks again!

Jordan at Nando's is a legend! He's really polite and always makes sure I have a great experience. Super helpful with the menu too. Shoutout to him for being such a lovely worker!

Esta fue la peor experiencia de la historia. El gerente claramente no tenía idea de cómo ayudar a los clientes. Pedí un plato y canjeé una mitad de pollo gratis usando los puntos de mi cuenta. La mujer de la caja me aseguró que había añadido la mitad de pollo a mi pedido. Sin embargo, mientras esperaba, noté que faltaban algunos artículos. Cuando le pregunté al respecto, me dijeron que la mujer en la caja había cometido un error y no lo había hecho pasar. Le expliqué el problema al gerente, pero en lugar de resolverlo, insistieron en que la mujer en la caja no había cometido ningún error, a pesar de que la orden estaba incompleta. Para empeorar las cosas, el gerente me dijo que me quejara a la oficina central y básicamente nos pidió que nos fuéramos. Su actitud fue grosera, poco profesional y completamente inapropiada. Otros miembros del personal evitaron asumir la responsabilidad, a pesar de que la mujer en la caja admitió su error. Servicio absolutamente vergonzoso.

The food was great this evening.... went out for food with work colleagues the cashier let some of us use our blue light card. And when my colleague tried to use there's they were told they could not use it. When I spoke to the manager regarding this the said they don't no acept the blue light card and only except it for NHS workers. I showed her the blue light card app and showed her that it was on there and she was still saying they don't acept it. I asked for the managers name she refused to give her name and was very rude and abrupt. This is not the sort of service I have ever experienced in other nandos that I have ate at. Hopefully her customer services skills with improve and she will learn how to talk to customers. I will not be eating at this particular restaurant again.

On business in Birmingham , visited the new street Nando’s , food was great, waiters great but the 2 women that were working there were quite abrupt and rude, the female that is currently the manager would not allow some of us to use our blue light cards without an NHS badge, when we are out for dinner we do not wear our badges and neither does it say on the blue light website that this is the procedure . I explained this to the disgruntled lady and she just was not having any of it and said all her staff knew not to accept blue light without an nhs card. I feel they should remove Nando’s from the blue light website , this is an unfare and embarrassing occurrence that none of us have experienced in a Nando’s before . Not visiting again and beware blue light badge holders even though it’s on the website you can’t use it

Been here a few times, most of the staff are rude . Fed this back to the manager at the time and all he said was thanks for the feedback.

This Nandos it's great, I always think it's a task to get takeaways as good as eating in but this Nandos seem to master it perfectly. I would always choose to go here, great food and perfectly run! Credit to them

Far too busy but I’m guessing not their fault! Food was ok but certainly not the best Nando’s I’ve had

Went to Nando's on new street for a quick lunch with two other people. Ordered food through their app. After a 20min wait a member of staff came to say that they are waiting on one of the dishes to get prepared. After another 5 mins I tried to speak to the same member of staff to ask what is happening and she said she will bring the food now. When we got the food everything was lukewarm at best... chips were soggy and barely warm. Did not hear a simple "sorry for the delay" from the staff. Was offered free desserts after our meal but at this point we did not want to wait for another 25 mins for some dessert. And let's be honest, Nando's are not famous with their desserts. Overall was not happy with the whole experience and will avoid from now on

I didn’t catch the names of the nice staff but we had a pleasant time. The food was fast and the staff were nice to me and my parents.

Very disorganised place. Food was good. Staff trying their best to help and very amicable, lack of supervision or management issues. We ordered dessert, but never arrived and we had to get a refund. The cutlery area was short of things, staff were polishing there to keep up with the place.

We visit the nandos at new street Station on monthly basis, so we are regulars and it been amazing especially with lovely Sharon, she always go extra mile to give us an excellent experience. The service is great compare to some different branches we visited, so we now decided to stick to the new street branch.

We didn't like that it was all digital, we had to do both ordering and paying via QR; we would have liked more treatment with the patient; We only saw the waiter when he brought us the food. When we sat down to eat they sat us very close to those next to us and we didn't have much privacy.

Food gave food poisoning to my girlfriend because the burger was undercooked. NEED THAT kitchen staff fired.

Just a regular Nando's, but the staff were very attentive and made sure we were happy with everything.

I don’t usually write many reviews but the service we received was impeccable. Our waitress Sharon was so kind. We had our 6 month old baby with us and she really went out of her way to make sure we were looked after. I also noticed she was going from table to table ensuring everyone was happy. Very hard working! Thank you to Sharon for being so lovely!

Came in waited to be seated Was told to wait 15 minutes to get a table which me and my friend waited in the waiting area for and then after 15 minutes we seen people who had come after us being seated we then went up after 25 minutes to be told he had already called me which was a lie and then he had said I came up to me which again was lie then he had said he can us a table Service was very bad that me n my friend left before we even got seated

Always quick service on a lunch time and having recently been diagnosed with food allergies they were really good on that front. I'd say this is a good place to go for people who have allergies / intolerances, I even got a gluten free flag on my meal!

When i walked in, i was greeted and taken to my table by a lovely young lady. After that, an extremely kind member of staff called messiah provided an amazing experience through his customer service and hospitality skills. Truly made my experience

My friend and I came in recently and the staff were so absolutely sweet and helpful and made us feel so welcome and truly went above and beyond with assisting us especially Natty and Kadeem - made the experience so lovely, thank you so much ❤️

Basic Nando’s, you get what you expect. No different from any other branch, the corner booths are the best seating in this restaurant, chicken always on point and as usual the bottomless ice cream is a must !!

Además de esto, no tenía mi aplicación Nandos en mi nuevo teléfono, sin embargo, Jamilah pudo proporcionar un código para usar en mi aplicación más tarde. Chicken was luke warm, bun slightly part baked, fries warm and soggy.

I’ll be honest I love nandos, but today’s experince has really put me off coming to this place. When I walked in no one greeted or sat us down, didn’t think nothing off it as I saw people lining up directly to the till. 15 min in the line and by the time I got to the till the lady who was at the till just walked off and went somewhere else even thought she could have said bare with me a moment just walked passed us like we don’t exist. Eventually she came back asked us if we eating in or taking out. Told her we eating in, she then asked the table number we told her we haven’t been sat and could see everyone lining up directly to the till and then going to a table. She goes no, line up again and eventually someone will sit us down. Even when we said the people in front of us got sat down after the order why do we have to line up again she mentioned no this not how we do it. Felt like a place we wasn’t welcomed in. Worked in food myself so tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but you can just tell when someone is trying to a C*#T. Never coming again.

Had a great experience at New Street! Good sized protions and good service from staff, and a lovely member of staff called Natty gave me a complimentary slice of cake as I was celebrating my birthday. Certainly one of the best Nandos in the city!

Had a fantastic dine-in experience at this halal Nando's at the heart of Birmingham centre! The food was delicious, fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was vibrant.

A su llegada le explicó a la gerente Sharon que me encontraba con un amigo que había visto por última vez antes del covid. Me sentó en una cómoda zona tranquila mientras esperaba la llegada de mi compañero. Junto con los demás miembros de su equipo recibimos un servicio profesional y cortés durante toda nuestra visita. Nada era demasiado problema para ellos. Aunque el clima no era el mejor para un almuerzo de verano, me fui sintiéndome mucho más brillante debido al trato que recibí de Sharon y su equipo. Definitivamente visitaremos esta sucursal más regularmente en la futura New Street, Birmingham (centro de la ciudad) por la Casa del Consejo.

Can’t beat a Nando’s, always love coming to this branch due to the lovely atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and accommodating! Do expect roughly a 10 minute wait though which has been the case every time I’ve gone, no fault of the restaurants’ it’s a popular spot!

Didn't have a reservation but within 10 min I was seated. Great service.

Advised it was a 10 minute wait which we were fine with only for it to get to 30 minutes and everyone around us was being seated when we asked how much longer they said we had already been seated ? And then the same happened with the food, people being seated well after us receiving their mains before we even had our starters. And when the mains eventually came they were cold but after already being there an hour and a half we just wanted to leave. £50 down the drain a most unenjoyable experience

What a disappointment. My wife is post-partum. She fancied a Nandos on a Tuesday evening... We got to this place at roughly 8:55pm, with 4 weeks old baby in pram. Front of house took a while to get to us as we waited by the front door... Not too long a wait so it's reasonable and I have no issues with that. We were told we'd need to wait 10 to 15 mins before we could be seated... Restaurant looked understaffed. It was busy with the ground floor almost full but only 4 or 5 front of house staff. Agqin, we appreciated the need to wait and reserved a table then went to sot by the fountains just outside. Returning after 15 mins we were promptly seated (though I seemed to see what looked like a manager telling our server they were full and the server telling her we'd been there 15 mins ago and booked a table on their instruction.. but perhaps I misobserved). So far, no issues and everything was understandable. I placed our order (halloumi starter, xl wings (15 wings and 4 regular sides or 2 large sides, and 2 drinks)) and went to the rest room. Upon my return my wife informed me that a waitress had told her we couldn't have the xl wings as the kitchen had run out of wings, they also didn't have boneless thighs and some other item. But they had half chicken, quarter chicken etc... we decided we'd take a refund and just return home... Couldn't they just chop up some of the whole chicken to make up the wings or boneless thighs? Anyway, opted for a refund and the waitress lead us to the tills where her supervisor/manager was to issue the refund. I then got asked in a very moody tone "what, you want all of it refunded?" "Yes, we've not had anything to eat or drink"... What did she think I wanted? To eat some halloumi, drink some coke and call it a meal?! Got the refund and left promptly. Ordered a takeout from a competitor during the drive home. I cannot recommend this place as I did not get the cha ce to taste the food. My dealings with staff were mixed, some polite and one that seemed moody. It's a real shame. Second time I've tried this restaurant and second time I've not eaten there (last time was a booking I tried to make on valentine's day and was told they weren't taking table bookings.. it was all walkins that day)

The third time they managed to prepare the right dish, the garnish arrived 30 minutes later. Very unprofessional.

Everytime I have a delivery from new street nandos peri peri drizzle is missing. This has happened at least 10 times in last year. All Bianca assistant manger can say, is I will talk to the staff. What a joke!! Service is terrible.

the chicken was squishy, soft and PINK!!! made me and my friends feel physically sick, i do not recommend. the staff member gaslighted us into thinking it was normal and did not accept reasonable criticism, absoloutley discusting.

Really disappointed with our recent trip to Nandos. Usually a great experience. The servers seemed very unhappy and a little despondent. Food not up to normal standard. Barely any halloumi in the wrap. Such a shame!

Can never fault nandoes quality... The place didn't look too busy but it took over 25 minutes for our starters to arrive and even then I had to go pick it up. Might be an app issue but wasn't impressed as kids were getting irritated

Ambience good but when we got it, the staff who saw us ignored us and acted busy until the probably the manager and supervisor came to attend to us. But we had a good meal thereafter.

Food was just about cooked. Upon arrival, one of the managers (tall women with braids) was extremely rude and requires training on how to speak to customers and to smile. She put us on this table but it was extremely cold as the door kept opening. So we asked to sit further down, only to be told they were for four or more customers only. However, the group before us got seated there despite being three people and other tables available. i just feel she thought as we look different, we should get different treatment (which wasnt nice but thats how it made me feel). Wolverhampton branch much nicer. EDIT IN RESPONSE: the food was not cold, your manager was rude and requires training.

Tasty food and lovely service despite it being very late.

Overall the experience in this Nandos was good. The food was fantastic and beautifully cooked. I got the sunset burger and two sides which were chips and mash which were cooked to perfection so all good in that regard. However, I had to wait 40-45 minutes for my food and the restaurant did not appear to be at full capacity. At one point I had to ask a member of staff about how long it will take for my food to be served which he replied he will check for me. It appeared that my food was sitting on the hot food counter and no one thought to bring it to me. Location Is good right in the heart of the city centre, staff are friendly, and their is a lovely vibe to the restaurant.

If you want to eat Nandos chicken plus French fries, coming here could be the answer. The chicken is grilled without being burnt, the chicken skin is still smooth. Ask the waiter for a glass to fill with water and ice cubes. If you order a soda drink, you can refill it as much as you like. If you don't finish eating your food on the spot, just ask for a box to take home.

Ordered 4 boneless chicken thighs with peri chips and creamy mash. Highly recommend

This place has gone really down. We saw our food just lying there getting cold no staff was there to hand over the food to the tables and we saw our food getting cold and the staff was just pottering doing absolutely nothing. Upon telling one of the staff members she brought our plates to us that had been lying there for 15 mins all cold. Vvv disappointing.

Had ordered and received an incorrect order, had then been told i’d be refunded by Terek, as jacob didn’t pack order correctly. Didn’t receive my refund, had rung the store to speak to store manager Sharon she was disrespectful and told me she won’t be refunding me. Well if thats the case, why was I promised by one of your staff members and didn’t receive the refund. She had then gone back and forth with myself regarding this refund, she had then rudely cut the call off. Won’t ever be ordering from this store again, I was a regular customer ordering EVERYDAY for the past 2 weeks via Nando’s website never going to be ordering from this restaurant again. Such disrespectful customer service, rather not come back! AVOID THIS PLACE! Sharon is very disrespectful!

We went to this restaurant before heading to a show across the street. They seated us in a nice spot, a booth that was quite far away from everyone else. We were in a bit of a rush and were surprised at how quickly the food arrived. It tasted just as good as the food at every other Nando's we had been to before. It was nicely decorated and the lighting was impressive, adding to the atmosphere.

The staff were so helpful when I visited with my baby. Food was quick and as good as always. The atmosphere was great and we had a really lovely meal.

Tried to dine in and we waited a few minutes at the front to be attended to. A few staff members walked by without any acknowledgment towards us which we didn’t have a massive problem with. But then we finally got seen to and was told to wait a further 2 minutes even though there were visibly available tables. This also wasn’t a big problem as we then went to go sit in the waiting area. The problem was the fact that another couple walked in after those two minutes of us waiting and got seen to and seated straight away. We ended up walking out as it was clear our custom wasn’t wanted at all. Horrible service.

We just went in and got told 5 mins wait so we sat down(2 of us ). Then another couple walks in and gets seated straight away. Shameful! Any other nandos in town does a better job. If I could give a 0 star I really would not the first time this happened at this nandos.

Very busy store in the heart of Birmingham, I did a collection order i arrived 10 minutes early and the order still took 30 minutes. The staff were pleasent and polite although not too attentive and kept advising 5 mins every 10 minutes. Food was cooked to a good standard though and I would try again.

Came with friend before we studied. Bianca had us seated within 10 minutes on a busy Friday. Timi made sure I had my drink glass I ordered through the app. Experience was great !
