Nando's Birmingham - New Street in Birmingham

Very busy store in the heart of Birmingham, I did a collection order i arrived 10 minutes early and the order still took 30 minutes. The staff were pleasent and polite although not too attentive and kept advising 5 mins every 10 minutes. Food was cooked to a good standard though and I would try again.

Came with friend before we studied. Bianca had us seated within 10 minutes on a busy Friday. Timi made sure I had my drink glass I ordered through the app. Experience was great !

Bianca made the atmosphere of the restaurant a lovely one. She helped us all the way through our time we were here to eat. Brilliant service provided by her too. Very welcoming and radiates good energy. You’re a gem Bianca 🖤

The service was okay. Few staff just looks miserable, almost like they couldn’t be bothered. However after coming home. My partner and myself ended up in severe abdominal cramps and ended up on the toilet for a few hours. After that we both then started feeling incredibly sick. I did throw up. I ended up with food poisoning!!!!

The butterfly chicken was very very dry and hard. I mentioned it and was told this was how it was supposed to be. To be fair, we had eaten half of it but it wasn’t enjoyable.. When somebody came to ask if our food was ok later I said not really but they just walked off.. we did finish the food. It was edible but I expected better.. will go elsewhere next time Also, floor was very dirty, toilets had vomit in and the chair had food on it. I know it’s busy but it was a bit of a shocker.

I regret to say that my recent experience at ABC Restaurant left much to be desired. The food lacked any discernible flavor, leaving me utterly underwhelmed. Despite the promising menu, each dish fell flat and failed to excite my taste buds. Disappointing, to say the least.

After trying Nandos in Qatar 🇶🇦 this was my first experience in uk 🇬🇧 This place has very nice infrastructure and very quick service I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist Even it was too busy at that time The most amazing thing here was sitting on the table and place your order through QR code and food reaches your table I was fastening and they have provided me dates too . I have ordered butterfly burgers with sides Which were very delicious .

Just had a lovely meal, 2 adults and 3 children. The children all wanted to order and pay for their own meals at the till seperately. The lady at the till, Sharon, was so kind and patient with them, super friendly and helpful. At the end of our meal, she even sent over 3 complimentary bowls of ice cream for the children. Food was brilliant and service from all staff we encountered was exceptional. Thank you ☺️

Reset on the table right near the stairs I don't think a table should be sat there. Nando's no matter where you go tastes the same then they better. It's shame that there is not many halal restaurants and trying to find this one was quite hard. If you are disabled person and need to go to the washroom do not choose this restaurant.

We went nice and early, literally moments after they opened. Was greeted with a warm welcome and a happy smile. Nothing was too much. We requested certain seats in the restaurant and was told we can sit anywhere we like. Amazing. Got the food ordered via the app which was simple and and straightforward. Firstly had a member of staff turn up with plates and empty glasses for drinks we ordered. Food arrived shortly later and it was amazingly fresh hot and just perfect. Requested extra peri peri salt and was handed sachets instantly with no question. We enjoyed our meal and whilst eating we was asked if everything was OK with meal and obviously it was amazing. As usual ordered more food than was required and we asked for a container for a take away and the staff was more than happy to assist. Great service and great food. Highly recommend this branch. To all the staff - THANK YOU.

Appreciate the lower star reviews 🤣. This is probably the worst nandos I ever visited. Staffs are busy ok talking with themselves hanging around the kitchen and back. Ordered the chicken medium hot which came lemon and herb. No cutleries I went to check for cutleries 3 times but they didn’t had any so i had to smash the chicken with a spoon. Even I asked one of the staff go get me a knife and fork he said yes but I kept on waiting….. No cross checking if everything alright. Ordered a cheesecake which came on a broken plate was supposed to served with cream on side but they didn’t served me that and the cake was frozen from inside.

I came to have diner tonight. We were 3 adults plus a baby in a buggy. The girl at the door told us it is a 15-20 minute wait which we said it was fine. After the time waiting the girl take us to a table where there is no space for the buggy and tell us to leave the buggy somewhere at the back of the restaurant mat which I was confused and asked her then what am I supposed to do with the baby and she says what about a high chair (bare in mind my baby is less than 2 weeks old so obviously that’s impossible). I am really annoyed because if they know we come with a buggy why would they give me a table with no space for a buggy? They didn’t give me any solution and had to leave having made me loose my time. Really bad service. This has to improve.

Went to Nando's New Street for dinner with the whole family (7 people). It was extremely busy (during the autumn holidays) so we had to come back half an hour later to get a seat, but that was nicely arranged. Smooth and friendly reception. Tried various dishes and everyone liked them. Sufficiently large portions and that's how we like it ;-). Bonelless platter, hamburgers and of course the 'fully loaded chips'. Heard no one complaining. Yummy, tummy nicely rounded and I walked out satisfied!!!

First time experience in Nandos, and i was served mashed potatoes with hair on it. I spoke to the staffs, including the supervisor but they refused to replace it for me. Absolutely disgusting never coming back again.

Upon arrival to Nando's I was greeted by a very friendly 'Joe' who was very helpful. I had recently sprained my ankle and found it difficult to do stairs. He managed to get us a seat downstairs and was very supportive and helpful. Through out the evening he checked in on us. While we were enjoying our meal which was 5/5 and no issues, I noticed a lady being very rude to him clearly trying to get a free meal. The lady had eaten everything on her plate and then complained to say she wants a refund because the quality wasn't up to what she expects. He was so calm and this lady was very rude to him. I would say that he was so kind and offered her help but she then complained to the manager about him. Before leaving, I found the manager and told him how kind Joe was. Please be respectful to staff who are working during the busy Christmas period. There is no need to be nasty to them. They're trying.

Me and my boyfriend came in and put our names down for a table 20 mins later we where sat ,no issues with our table customer service was fantastic,however once the food arrived our peri-peri fries had no peri peri salt on them,the one burger had no sauce at all even though on the menu it was specified and one had chilli sauce even though lemon and herb was requested instead of this,this may be due to the chicken being put in the wrong burgers however one peice of chicken was so hard as if it had been cooked and reheated and the other was burnt and tasted like charcoal (We both ended up leaving half our food due to this),I understand it was close to closing time when we walked in however that should not show in the quality of the food being given especially when paying so much for it .

Horrible individual with a chip on her shoulder named latoya who said she was a manager, zero customer service skills, turning away customers 40mins prior to closing even when there was clean seating available that was pointed out to her… she needs to be sacked or demoted to cleaning the tables.

I’m Greek and used to large portions, but for sure the dish I ate it supposed to have 2 pieces of chicken breast and there was just one or that was an infant chicken…

Good food at this Nando's venue and good atmosphere and service. Would definitely recommend this place to eat in town.

We went to nando's this evening, there were four of us, and we ordered in twos right after each other, three of us got the food after 10 minutes, but the last one got the food when the rest of us had finished, and we then just had to wait a little longer, when they gave the cheese sticks we were supposed to have, to another table and there we had to wait again. Even if you order two and two, it would be great to enjoy the food together, but not at NANDOS.

I attended Nandos Birmingham on Saturday 11th November between 2-3pm. My partner and I were told that there would be a 25 minute wait. We agreed and sat in the waiting area. We were the only people waiting for a table of 2 - the rest of the customers were waiting for tables of 3-4. After around 20 minutes with no name being called, I politely asked the host how long the wait would be. The host rudely replied that we had missed our table and that they couldn't guarantee one anymore. I politely explained that we had been patiently waiting and our name had not been called. Rather than kindly navigating the situation and offering a table at the next convenience, the host became aggressive and said she called my name several times and it's our fault. Another waitress joined in and began bombarding me with comments such as 'I'm telling you the information that you were called and you missed it'. Both women were aggressive and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Any decent waitress would respect that they had either mispronounced the name or not missed it off the list. I also pointed out that we were the only couple waiting and there was only one table for 2 on the first half of the queue. Any decent or trained waitress would identify us as the people waiting for the table of 2. After being aggressively spoken to, I stated that they were being incredibly rude and disrespectful. One of the women began waving her hand in my face saying that she was being polite and will try to get me a table. I responded that after the treatment I had received I no longer wanted a table. I informed the staff to cross me off the waiting list and I would go elsewhere. No apologies were provided. I was left visably annoyed and upset by the situation. I strongly suggest that these women are identified and spoken to. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Very slow service, starters came out after main I mean how does that make sense. Told a member of staff to clean the toilets as they were so dirty. There was sanitary towels and faeces in the toilet. Wouldn't go back again, staff was not as friendly as other branches.

Terrible service. Our food came cold. We have been waiting for more than 40 minutes. The food was not served as usual in other Nando's restaurants, but it was less in the plates and without any sides that goes with those plates.

Chicken was well cooked and tasty. Pitta was good and service quick.

If you’re visiting the Bullring i would highly suggest visiting this location other than the Bullring Nandos located inside of the Bullring. This location has a better vibe and superior service than the other. I Got the Butterfly chicken for 2 and it was delicious. Don’t forget to get peri salted chips!

The food tastes decent but whenever i eat from here i have an upset stomach afterwards. In the past i’ve ignored it , thinking it was probably something else i’ve eaten but now i can certainly say it’s this nandos which is messing up my stomach because i’ve eaten from here again today and i have an upset stomach again. I don’t know why this happens, perhaps the way of preparation isn’t hygienic or there’s something wrong with the chicken itself?

They just didnt want to bring the food upstairs!

Worst Nando's experience ever. Appalling customer service with long wait times. Staff didn’t even acknowledge the customers standing in a queue for over half hour. The guy at counter was very rude to some customers who ended up leaving without eating. Old heated up mash with half cooked chicken and no cutlery. I had to wait for cutlery while food was getting cold.

Food was okay, they ran out of thigh fillets. Not worth its price though.

Me and my sister love Nando’s. We were shopping and really fancied Nando’s. Was greeted and sat to a table in no time. We both ordered on the app, my sister done two orders first order was the new loaded chips then done a second order of her food. When she done her second order I put my order through. We got our glasses for our re-fillable drinks only to find my one had lip stick stains only- only noticing once I had a sip 😩 it was on the opposite side. Anyways let someone know and he changed the glass. My sisters second order came (she originally orded the loaded fries first so we could share them) and I was stil waiting for my food. I had to ask for my food and then it was brought over. We were sat by the kitchen and could literally see all the food waiting to go out. It wasn’t hectic busy in there so didn’t understand. Half an hour after ordering I decided to ask for my food and a lady was polite and brought it over. But half an hour after ordering and like 20 mins after my sister got her food. I don’t know why it wouldn’t come together. The first order my sister done she got it after like 40 mins. But my halloumi I orded with my meal I had to ask the lady again as it didn’t come together. I just didn’t understand why a lot of food was waiting to go to tables but no one seemed to be around. It’s a shame really because we really enjoy Nando’s but I’m feeling abit let down from this experience. A dirty glass, Having to ask for my food twice when I order it together on the app. Also outside the shop floor Ino it’s not really to do with inside but if it is raining be careful as it gets really slippy. My sister slipped and nearly fell and she had good grip trainers on. But the chicken was really good, probably one of the best chickens we have had from Nando’s.

Worst experience! Heated up fries, heated up mash! At least heat them up right! Butterfly chicken so hard and dry! Ordered diet coke but when I went to fill up my cup it was something else! Spoke to the manager she only said food is fresh and butterfly chicken is a hard part of the chicken, but why is that when i cook it at home its super soft? Might as well start thinking about steam food!!!! WORST RESTAURANT ever. Don’t go. When fries are fresh everyone can tell they are, this is just my review out of 5 of us, we all agreed on this!!!!!!!

We had to follow up on the order. Plates were not available when food was served so we had to wait for another 5 minutes or more and follow up before we got serving plates. The food was good .. Will surely visit again. Sides were expensive for the quantity served.

I have come to this Nandos twice in the past and it was lovely and the food was lovely. However, today I went to this Nandos and ordered a Butterfly chicken burger. It tasted normal, however just around 3hours after I had terrible stomach crams and felt very nauseous and felt as if I was going to be sick. These symptoms continued untill another hour and a half passed by and I was very sick twice both quite close to each other. I am certain these symptoms have been caused by the Nandos I had today (as it is all I have eaten today and the food I have had in the past few days wouldn't have caused these symptoms, also as disgusting as it is the sick tasted and looked like disgusting Nandos). It is such a shame as I usually love Nandos but I doubt I will return now as clearly there was something wrong with the chicken.

Food was burnt had to wait when tables were available upstairs not very good customer service apart from the lady behind the bar who offered us a drink while we was waiting and music was abit loud couldnt hear what people was saying and even no toilet roll in the toilets my partner and daughter also said the same waste of £50

Visited Nandos for lunch and it was amazing!! As soon as we walked in, the lady showed us our seats. When we went to take our order, the girl at the till was super sweet and understanding. The food came out in no time and was exceptional. The chicken was cooked to order and the ratio of chicken to sauce was perfect!! The garlic bread was warm and garlicky. And the coleslaw was cold and refreshing. Overall, great food and customer service. Highly recommend!!

IMAN - She gave the worst service ever! Should not be working in hospitality. As soon as we entered, she ignored our presence for a good 5-10 minutes, when she finally used her brain and went to seat us down, she rolled her eyes because she had to clean a dirty table. My friends food came 10 minutes after we ordered and my food was left on the counter for a good 15 minutes as she walked past it every time! Three tables ordered after me and she served their food as soon as they were placed on the counter! She made eye contact with my friend every time she walked past my meal and clearly was refusing to give my food. Spoke to the manager as he served me my food and told him I'm not happy with the service. My food arrived 25 minutes after my friends! Don't know the girl but she needs to act her weight and not her shoe size! Don't know what's going on with her but she needs to smile and get a new job! Not happy with this service at all. Manager was lovely and arranged a new meal for me, also offered desserts but I refused as I only wanted a quick meal. Usually love going to the Nando's new street but workers like her put me off my food.

The worst Nandos I've ever been to ☹️ The staff were messing around a lot of the time. The food took ages and then arrived with the chicken over cooked. We asked for mayonnaise which was lobbed on the table. Defo won't be going to that one again!

Service here is absolutely shocking. A couple plates of food coming out of the kitchen every 20 minutes. Staff are so miserable, not welcoming at all and when you ask them a question they dont come back to you with an answer. Food took an hour and was burnt. Not going back.

DON’T GO NANDO’S NEW STREET The food was ok but the experience horrible But the host yesterday was really rude. My bf was already sitting inside and I told home this. I told him my bf issitrinh inside and I have ordered. I showed my receipt via email to him. I told him my bf sat upstairs and the host told me that upstairs was not open. I said how come my bf is sitting there then? The host kept on saying no he could not and should come downstairs. So my bf sis and we showed him our receipt that we paid. Then I asked what will happens now because we have paid the host give us an attitude and said I don’t know I did not tell your bf to sit upstairs. So you are telling me we spend 30 pound and just because no one told my bf he cannot sit at a table upstairs and we cannot have my order? The host kept on saying I don’t know. Then he pointed a corner seat like a waiting area and said you need to sit there. But in the meantime another girl I think a manager already gave my bf a table. I said well the lady over there just gave us a table. How come you are not aligned? And then the host spoke to another person I think k a manager in front of me. Saying I cannot understand this women can you talk to her? How do you talk like that about a customer in front of you? Really really bad. Due to my experience my meal was ruined like I know the food is nice but I could not enjoy it I am upset no one came to talk to us to talk about the poor behaviour of the host. Honestly at Nando’s new street you are a number if you want a nice meal better go to the one in broadstreet because the host is horrible, makes you feel stupid and has no manners at all.

This branch was extremely disappointing, the manager was very neglective, allocated front staff was passive aggressive. Never have I ever experienced such a problem with Nando's but this would be the first. There is no need to treat customers poorly and then go further and make the establishment look unprofessional. It was as if the employees lacked common sense of what good customer service is.
