Nando's in Birmingham

I ordered the peri peri chips and the grilled chicken breast fillet in a pitta which had a garlic butter parsley sauce; in the pitta there were caramelized onions and grilled halloumi! I was very satisfied with the food!

Service was excellent. Staff obliging and catered to my every whim. Hot meat, perfect sauce. Will be back.

Pretty standard Nandos. They're all much of muchness. The staff here were so friendly though. They could not have been more attentive and kind. They most definitely need a raise.

Fue aquí donde me dirigieron arriba. Estaba claro están faltos de personal en ''. Había una persona abajo y una arriba persona administrar todas las cenas. Comprobaron con regularidad para asegurarse de que se mantienen los clientes entre como incluso lo que pudo. La comida era buena, pero como siempre, por favor emplear algunos más gestión de personal. Es ridículo para un restaurante tan concurrido a tener sólo dos personas buscando después de todo el lugar. Como una cuestión de hecho. . . . Era el gerente. donde? Esas dos chicas se dejó la piel, manteniendo a todo el mundo contento y sonreía con también. Se merecen una medalla.

Mi esposa estaba anhelando Nando's - Uno de los favoritos. Fuimos a la Ciudad de las Estrellas para ver una película india y decidimos comer antes de salir para un cambio.Pedimos un plato en esta ocasión con 2 lados - patatas fritas peri peri y guisantes macho para mí y patatas fritas y puré para la mujer. La comida era buena, como siempre, y la pechuga de pollo tenía su sabor único en comparación con otros buenos de pollo a la parrilla.

Tuve la desgracia de tener que ir a la tienda Bull Ring en Birmingham con compañeros de trabajo en una noche.Las personas en el grupo no quería ir a otro lado.Me vi obligado a pedir la hamburguesa vegetal. . . Es muy. como carne halal se deslizará en el suministro de tiendas halal (Sí. . . Cada tienda es muy que usted piensa no es halal. . . Carne halal sirve. y no puede decirte que es halal y lo que no es porque su gestión no importa cualquier requisitos (aparte de los musulmanes que no es 100% halal)la hamburguesa tiendas llegamos. . . hacía frío. . Las patatas fritas. y pedí eran frías y horrible.Los otros dos en el grupo de frío de pollo, y alas. . . Pero no puedo decir nada ya que no quiero quejarme.Le pedí al camarero por qué muchos de los que vinieron era frío. . . . . Y fue como si me estaba pidiendo algún tipo de tarea imposible.Fue una experiencia terrible. . . Me negué a ir allí antes de la comida. . Y en el futuro. sin rechazar incluso si un grupo de trabajo/excursión.Siento la ética de un establecimiento de comida que favorece una religión sin el otro. . . o básicamente racista.

Always get excellent service, food is very tasty and always hot. Never had a bad meal yet, great for all the family. BIG Favourite with all.

No sé por qué volví después de 6 meses de pensar el servicio sería mejor. Cuando pides comida para llevar es una piedra fría fría, fría. Preferiría esperar más tiempo sabiendo que toda la comida es preparada al mismo tiempo y se sirve bien caliente. Por favor también capacitar a su personal en servicio al cliente. Su actitud apesta y así no su apariencia uniforme desordenado y destartaladas. No regresaré de nuevo

As usual in Nando's the staff were very friendly and we were seated very promptly. The food was as good as ever and we were very impressed.

Went to this branch in Grand Central above New Street station, what a mistake, waited 30 minutes for food, mine was piping hot but my partners chips and chicken burger were stone cold, had to go looking for staff as there were not many working, complained about the food, they said they would bring more chips, did not arrive, went and found staff again and said to forget the whole meal and give me my money back, was told that the chicken was coming off the grill now so my partner said ok we will stay, new meal arrived but sadly was only just warm, i asked for the meal to be taken off the bill to be told "we cant do anything off the bill but you can have a couple of beers" i rarely complain to head offices of organisation but on this occasion i have.

La comida duró 40 minutos a venir. Cuñas de camote no preparado, hecha de arroz picante y tuvimos que comer a la velocidad de la luz para no perder el tren y no estaba lleno!

Mi novio y yo quedamos impresionados con el entusiasmo de los camareros y camareras, como cuando nos suelen ir a un restaurante son extraordinarias que no esperes mucho del servicio ya que es un lugar muy concurrido y a menudo el personal es apresurada.

Ahora, lo que dice la gente sólo puedo opinar sobre lo malo y no lo bueno, antes de empezar que no es el caso, comentar sobre el bueno, pero éste comentarios sólo bueno va a incluir la calidad de los canapés toallitas disponibles si quieres. (Hecho)

Me and the wife love this place but we won't be going here any more as the chicken and meat are not slaughtered the correct Islamic way even though they call it Halal. We've tried most of the menu and the food has always been delicious, sometimes service has been a little slack but most of the time they're busy, which is a good thing. Once I was disappointed when they had hardly any of the desserts in the menu- which you wouldn't expect from a restaurant like this.Maybe if they start getting halal meat certified by HMC , they'll have customers like us return.

What can I say about this place?The food is always excellent and comes out piping hot. We've never had an issue with the food.If I ever want to just pig out Nandos is the place to go. Who doesn't like the Chicken Livers? Yum.My biggest gripe - the staff on the tills. They can see that people are waiting to approach, yet they walk around aimlessly or don't even register that someone is waiting to be served. Really really horrible being ignored, they just seem really tardy. The management at this location need to be more organised and really think about the specific tasks staff do. Get people served as quickly as you possibly can - don't make people wait. I very nearly walked out.That being said - the food is brilliant, so it's not like I have a choice!

If you prefer it less busy and less noisy, ask for a table upstairs where it's generally much quieter.The food was good and the portions were bigger than I normally get at a Nando's.

Wouldn't even give it one star! The establishment is shocking, not even one check back on our table! Table wasn't clean! Waiting on food for approx 1 hour....no welcoming or happy faces. Really wouldn't bother coming!!! Not to say the cutlery wasn't even clean or polished.... 0/10.

Was greeted by a lovely man who showed us to our table. We ordered. The staff were all walking round with no smiles. And a few of them standing around. Which annoys me! Our food arrived. Wasn't a long wait. My butterfly chicken was really dry. And the salad did not taste like it had been washed. The best part of my meal was the sweet potato wedges. Delicious. We had a check backAnd we received a goodbye off the nice gentleman. Just average. Needs to work in smiling.

Tried to book as there was a large party of 10+. Told we didn't need to book. Arrived, No seats. Told we would have to wait as no table. Waited 45 minutes. Then told we couldn't sit on the same table - we would have to split up. Left!A happy time lost and gone forever. You will forever be NONdoo's

After waiting 30 mins for a table. Then waited additional 25 mins for someone to take our orders only to find out it was quicker going over to order.No silver or sauces asked once food served waited an additional 10 mins for someone to sort out the nitty gritty things.But not really happy.

Of course nandos are leaders in chicken , always succulent and flavoured for the taste, love the decoration , nicely priced , oh love their chicken liver, good selection on menu, manny offers available, don't forget to collect your nandos points on ever visit

I and my family love love love Nando's. Not sure if it is the atmosphere, the décor, or the music that always makes me feel as if I am in a foreign place and I'm on holiday! My favourites are all the salads the mango juice. Other members of my family swear by the chicken hot wings.

Have you ever tasted anything more indulgent and tongue tangling? Ok it is not Simpsons but it is great beyond lovely. Granted the bottomless fizzles are a stomach inflator but the food. Try it and you will never regret it.

Estive no restaurante em janeiro cominho família, meu filho de 2 anos e meio, adorou o ambiente as músicas, tocou até uma brasileira enquanto estávamos lá, que ele não queria ir embora.Ambiente agradável, decoração super descolada, e a característica peculiar de pegar os pratos, fazer pedido no balcão, a entrega expressa somente do prato pronto e o resto que precisar esteja pronto para se servir, adoro esse conceito de restaurante....Muito legal vale a pena a visita.Além disso, quando for vale a pena pedir um prato grande e dividir, pia acaba economizando, principalmente quando falamos em libras....

I love their peri peri chicken and extra hot souce but the service is a bit careless. I had to remind the waitress three times that there is no forks left

Waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive. This was the second time. The first occasion I thought was because it was a Saturday evening but I visited on Tuesday and the service was terribly slow. Food was great along with customer service but the wait was not worth it.

Nandos is always nice when you dont know where to go to and you feel like different chips. i love their chips and their pitta and hummus starters.

I love Nando's and this one is about the same as most. Quite a large restaurant, but very quick taking orders. However, with all the staff on the tills taking orders a lot of food was building up at the counter and it took us about 45 minutes to get our food, very poor for a Nando's!

I have been frequenting Nandos on and off for 14 years and this was probably the worst service I have received. Despite their errors in getting table numbers mixed up and the food arriving over 30 mins late for one of my party, they did not apologise. Also, why is it when you ask for the chicken well done and crispy they fail to oblige. Enough of the moaning, as the title says, when they get it right it is good and the atmosphere was lively. You can do better Nandos, especially since prices continue to rise.

Came here mid week with a friend for dinner. Ordered a platter to share, really nice. Get 20% off with our NHS discount so a whole chicken, 2 sides and 2 bottomless drinks for £16 for the two of us... bargain. Been to this Nandos before. Sat outside as quite busy and humid inside. Food wasn't too long. Staff really nice especially a European girl.. don't recall her name.. she checked we were ok and was very friendly and genuine. We will definitely dine here again mid week.

Went to the Nando's in the mailbox yesterday and the food was lovely. There didn't seem to be a lot of staff on and when I needed them there was no one around. However the portion sizes are generous and as tasty as always. Would recommend!

I normally try & avoid eating in chain restaurants, but I do like the occasional Nandos. Food was good, service good, but the toilets were filthy.

Excellent service with happy, smiling waitresses and waiters. The food was bought out quickly and, as always, was cooked to perfection! I am definitely addicted!

Went to Nandos at Fort shopping centre and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Was greeted by Marcel who told us about menu and how to order etc. We are an older couple so found this experience quite refreshing. The food was delicious and hope to visit again when we are down in the Birmingham area.

Saturday 7pm 31st May 2014 long wait outside restaurant Nandos look busy however half of the tables empty just with dirty plates and glasses ? When person on the door told us that we need to wait min 15 to get a table I asked why so long ? He replyed - there is no clean tables !!! I asked why ? Reply was there was not enough people to clean the tables !!!! After 15 min we got the table, dirty table I must say the waitress said that somebody will come and clean it but 30 min later nothing happened ( even our food did not arrived ) when I place the order I was advised that food will be ready in 20 min !!! At the end I had to take the food away as I had to catch the train and leave my friend to eat their dinner. Overall expierience very poor :-( it is a shame as I really like Nandos. I think there is a lot to improve in this particular restaurant !!!

Well. Nandos is the best burger one can have. It comes in all level of flovour. Mild, medium, hot and extra hot. Usually I have burger, but this time I had order veggie wrap. I was little disappointed. Well not with the taste, but with the way of eating. That taste cannot be enjoyed in wrap. Anyways awesome place.

We descended on the restaurant for a Sunday lunch - about 40 of us. They don't take bookings so the fact that we were seated within 15 minutes on a group of adjoining tables was impressive. I hadn't been to a Nando's for years and had forgotten to convoluted ordering process. We got the NHS employee among us to pay.... thinking the whole bill would get the 20% discount. We were wrong!The food was fine. Nice, fresh, hot etc.... But our family of five (part of the whole party) spent over £50 and that was with two £5 kids meals, no starter, no dessert. It probably seems better value to couples and groups of people all paying for themselves.

Surprisingly nice chicken burger(not processed) and fries. Fairly quick service. Sauce bottles looked messy,but overall a cheap place to eat as a meal and drink for two for a tenner each.

I went to this restaurant a week before Christmas, on a sunday. Birmingham was crowded, everywhere, but it's not the first time I come to this restaurant and the queue seems to be part of the deal. I was hopeful when I saw someone with a notepad taking names (at 14h30), but unfortunately that did not mean anyone was allowed to go for a walk and come back after a set time. We were told that if we did not wait the ~30mins it would take to be seated, our place was not guaranteed. Service at the till was not great: people waiting to pay while employees chat to each other.The food was the usual simple and good: when one goes for Nando's it's because we love it. The selection of portuguese wine was good, but I was disappointed not to see the delicious "natas" highlighted on the menu. The atmosphere was noisy, tables were small and placed very near each other.Could do with a serious touch of customer care...happy customers tend to spend more ;)

Food was divine and the service was really good. Family loved it! Not much of a wait on food either!

Called into Nandos at 2.00pm on Friday, first time at this Nandos, the resturant was quite busy but not overly so. I placed my order and waited, I then waited some more, then waited a bit longer my meal eventually came 45 minutes later. The meal looked ok however it was not quite as hot as I would have liked; the rice especially was look-warm in fact I suspect the meal had spent a considerable time under the lamps at the pass. This is the worst meal I have ever had in a Nandos and the worst service. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, however this has been the exception rather than the rule in relation to this chain.

We went to Nandos a few times in different cities. We can say that the staff, food quality and facilities are generally good. However my fiancee is not a spicy eater so she goes for the mild dishes. She has tried a few of the mild dishes now and finds that even those have got a spice to them. This I think is quite a problem as not everyone can handle spice and if a mild dish is ordered you don't want spice.

Since my last review, I have re-visited the same branch of Nandos a few times where the staff have always been pleasant and the food has always been superb. The only downside is that it is not wheelchair accessible and the toilets are impossible to get to if you are less abled as they are up a lot of stairs.

I like this place as it is next to the Cineworld Cinema and great for a quite meal before a movie.Service is always fast and pleasant and the staff are always more than helpful. The food is freshly prepared and cooked and is always served piping hot. Limited menu, but they do it well, fast food with a bit of style.

love the sauce for chicken not bad prices for the meal .central to nia arena cheaper option than paying costly brindley place meals just so as your near the Birmingham canal.

I ate here while on business and always love Nando's food. The service here was a little slower than I am used to in Bristol but it won't stop me eating there!

We all had half roast chickens with different sides.....took only 10 minutes to get our food, excellent as the place was packed full. We love our medium heat chicken with chips and spicy rice..mmmm :-)

Used to love going here. There was 6 of us this time so a bit pricey for not enjoying yourself! Food was really dry. Dirty table and seating. Really Filthy loo! Not in such a hurry to return this time :( cant wait usually.

Loved the meat. Service was very friendly as always and also fast (not rush hour though). There is option for level of spicy seasoning. FOR EUROPEANS... the medium spicy is actually very spicy so if you want to be brave better think twice. :)

Nandos makes some of the best spicy and seasoned chicken dishes anywhere in the UK. Located on the first floor (I think) of the Bullring shopping mall, it is a favourite restaurant for lots of shoppers and your biggest challenge will be finding a table (I had to wait 10 minutes on my second visit to get a table) but once you do and your order is serviced, you will hardly remember the wait! Seriously!

Visited this branch during a short business trip to Birmingham. The food was well cooked as it always is in Nando's and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The place was very busy but they still managed to ask me whether everything was ok twice and then wished me a good night when I left. Would definitely go here again.

First time at the bullring Nando's. Very busy on the Saturday where people were queuing outside! As we were staying the weekend we came back on the sunday instead where it was slightly less busy. Lovely atmospheric restaurant. Food was lovely if a little too much. Portion sizes could be shared between two easily. One side order also plenty. With 3 meals, two with 2 sides and one with 1 side and unlimited soft drinks, bill came to about £35 which is very reasonable. Staff friendly but could have been a little more attentive rather thsn talking y o each other! Really didn't like having to go up and order. Waiter service would be more pleasant. Felt like I had to shout my order over the noise, some of my order was misheard resulting in me having medium piri piri instead of mild but was still enjoyable so didn't complain. Overall lovely food and place but service could be improved.

An absolutely delicious meal on the many occasions my wife & I have eaten there.Not only is the nosh wizard, but the sauces etc. are also first rate.

The food was outstanding! The staff are very friendly, approachable and polite! There is a short waiting time but it's well worth the wait, the service is very quick usually 10-14 mins wait. What I really love is that you can see them cooking the food behind the desk.

Nothing else needs to be said, but for people who can't handle the heat there are mild or non-spicy options available. And even good options for vegetarians so they don't feel left out.

Used the restaurant last Thursday 13 June. We experienced very good service, food was also good. Two of our group were vegetarians and found the vegetarian dishes to be very good.

I've been going to nandos for years and i used to think it was amazing until i started eating at other chicken restraunts and realised that for the money, you do not get decent sized portions. Many times i have ordered a half chicken and received just 2 legs and no breast which is just disgraceful, once i ordered a whole chicken and recieved 4 small legs which was about the equivelant of half a chicken and after spending over £20 i was not happy. Many occasions the chicken is dry and either over cooked or undercooked, they never seem to get it right, only rarely. To sum it up i just think Nandos is a over hyped piri chicken restraunt. Sort it out!

Nandos is definitely a favourite, whether it is just for lunch or for an evening meal there is always the variety in the spices. The one gripe I have is the queuing to order and paying up front as its all a bit fast food-ish, but I suppose part of the nandos experience. But this restaurant always great service, always great food, I can't recall having a bad experience here.

I always enjoy a visit to Nandos and feel like I have had something healthier than the usual burger and chips kind of meals. Delicious and different

I was happy to find a good choice of restaurants in the Bull Ring. Nandos was a good choice as they have had a refurbishment and glad to say its looking very cosy and open. Food was very nice with quick service.

If you have been to any Nando's in the UK you will know what to expect. I have only been to this particular branch on 4 occasions & every time it was very busy. This however was not a problem as all members of staff seemed to know what they were doing & the organisation was very good. The one thing that sets this branch apart from others is the beautiful view of the church opposite. Huge floor to ceiling windows make it feel as if you can almost touch the church it looks so close. After a busy day shopping in Brum this is a great way to relax.

Clearly a popular restaraunt as even busy at 10.30pm. Service minimal but that's the brand - that said they were friendly. Food super fast and tasty. Couldn't really fault it.

Enjoyed a good chicken meal, food quality was excellent chicken was cooked to perfection, service and speed of the food delivery were fair considering how busy they were, but oh my goodness it was incredibly expensive, when you add a couple of sides on with drinks (the drinks were free refills) the bill was massive when you consider this is not a proper restaurant.

Still don't see how Nandos can claim restaurant status in reality its an up market fast food outlet, you serve yourself basically the food is always good tho

If you are the kind of person that does not care about the service then nandos is the place. Food is nice but the service is not the best around. Chicken wings like no other...

We were the first customers in at just past 11am. Food was really quick, hot and tasty and it worked out at just over a tenner (including drinks) each which is pretty good going for a sit down meal in Birmingham! Overall really enjoyed the food and hit the spot for a nice early lunch.

Thought I would check out the nandos hype as everyone at work would go on about it. I went during lunch hour at work, when I arrived it was packed full so I imagined all these people can't be wrong, so I placed my order of half chicken and mash. I waited at my table for 50 mins without anyone telling me where my food was despite asking 3 times. When the food came I had to then take it back to work, and wasn't offered any discount for their mess up. The waitress jut said they were busy, a little heads up when ordering would of been nice. Needless to say when I got back to work not only was the food cold it was the complete wrong order.Never again

visited on 3 occasions. food has been cold all 3 times.we were rushed out of the restaurant because there were people waiting for tables. the male manager was very rude. the female server was lovely

I was in a hurry to grab something decent and quick to eat and Nandos didn't let me down at all. I do enjoy Nandos and the peri sauce. It also helps that they are quick to prepare and serve the food.

Needed somewhere to eat before a show at the NIA, This was my first experience of a Nandos and I was impressed. Staff were helpful (if a bit surprised that I had never been before!) and friendly. Food was good value and quick even though it was busy.

The first time I visited Nandos last year, I couldn't see what all the fuss was about but the last couple of times I've been, I have been a little more adventurous with my order and really enjoyed my food. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the place has a laid back help yourself feel to it which relaxes customers. I feel that some of the menu can be a little pricey for what it is but overall, it is a great place to dine.

Can't go wrong with Nandos, it's chicken. But at £8 for chicken breasts and some chips it's not really worth it. If you like spicy chicken then it's great for you. But I'm a "lemon and herb/mango and lime" kind of girl, so for me it's quite boring. There is a wide range of sauces to have with your chicken, it's help yourself and people often have 8 bottles on their table leaving you with limited choices. Nearly all the sauces are spicy, so once again if you're not keen on spice probably best to not have the sauces. It's okay, I'd go again if someone asked but it wouldn't be my first choice if I'm deciding where to go for dinner.

Great tasty Chicken. Not more to say really. Always a large queue to get in the door but once the food arrives you forget that.

Always great food!! excellent flavours and i love the free cola refil means i can order my halumi burger really really hot x

Went for lunch last week, we were the first customers at 12pm, we noticed how cold it was but as it had just opened we just thought it would get warmer. After ordering we sat at the table we were shown by the staff and noticed everybody who came in after us would move tables to a warmer area as we were not locals we did not relise this until after our food arrived. We all got the chicken burger with different extras and starters this came pretty promtly and tasted delicious together with a bottomless drink filled us all up. The staff were first rate polite and always smiling, the price was a bit on the high side at approx £15 a head but maybe alright for a treat. Apart from the cold a nice experience.

If you fancy tasty chicken in a casual environment for a quick lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with nandos.

My friend said her family went there a lot and I would like it.We had 2 chicken tortillas and 2 diet cokes, nothing else cost almost £30.The french fries were cold and greasyThe tortillas were so hot my lips burnt and I was choking to eat it.Took nearly 30 mins to be served.Cold in their as well, even though was snowing no heating seemed to be on.Had such a bad stomach all day spent most of it on the toilet.Never ever again will I eat at Nandos, think you need to be drunk to accept this place.
