Nando's in Birmingham

Quick and tasty food. Don’t normally have cocktails but these were lovely. Service was quick and polite. Overall, recommend for a quick bite to eat with food.

Absolutely terrible, waited 25 minutes for a drink spoke to a lady and she said she would sort it , no she didn’t I asked the sample lady 3 times, staff walking about doing nothing yet people are waiting to be served, food warm when that came 45 minutes later ,will not visit this one again 😡

The staff were under the hammer ,we had a problem and spoke to Paula. Paula is a credit to your restaurant and to the company.what a lovely lady .10 out of 10 for approachability and customer service.

Wasn't the best Nandos I've had, on arrival they'd ran out of a lot of options. Which is fair enough, but when I went to order the till staff were too busy talking to actually acknowledge me. Eventually I got to order, and the food arrived quickly. But it wasn't the best, and not to the usual standard I've had before

As a previous staff member at nandos for 3 years, I was rather shocked by the lack of professional service in this particular restaurant. I’d ordered two thighs and asked specifically if they can melt cheese on top. The lady on the till said yes, I didn’t catch her name but red/brown curly hair and lovely service from her. When the food arrived my cheese was hard and placed on the garlic bread, I responded to the waitress serving me and told her I’d asked for this to be melted. When the waitress returned she told me her manager had said no. Despite serving sunset pitta and burger (where it is normal to melt the cheese on the thighs) she told me it was not policy, when I asked why she said my manager told me no. When her supervisor came back to the table he told me if it was his shift he would have done it. “Alex” the manager on shift I am ashamed that you delivered such an odd yet poor service to melt some cheese!! Where were your nandos values ?? You couldn’t even approach my table to tell me why you wouldn’t do it, instead sending over several staff members? Not to mention my chips were cold and when visiting the loo before leaving I was appalled at the state of it. (Pics attached below) sanitary products on the floor, tissues everywhere. It is supposed to be policy that these are kept clean and tidy every hour. I understand they may have been understaffed however the restaurant was barely busy and lots of staff chatting to each other. This was a business I worked in for 3 years and loved, it was a shame the same level of service I would of provided to my customers wasn’t provided to myself and I did not enjoy my customer journey. Please do better and remember the day some other people are having, something so small could have left me to give an even better review and potentially a staff tip. Thumbs down from me.

Terrible service. Staff sad rude. Food was cold. Waited over 70 minutes for food and it wasn’t even busy. Glasses for drinks weren’t brought to us so had to get ourselves and the restaurant was a mess. This is the worst place I have ever been out to eat at.

Standard Nando’s but Ryan outdone himself with excellent service, was half an hour wait for chicken so he gave me a discount and since it was near closing I got some olives and pastel nata too 😍😍

Came here on a Saturday to get out of the rain. Was told there was a 20 minute wait but got seated in under 10 minutes. Staff were all friendly. Food was the same as any other Nandos I've been to, no better no worse. Toilets were clean. Food was served quite quickly. Downsides were the portions weren't that big now so you definitely need 2 sides, some of the items on the paper menu were not on the website when I went to order. Restaurant is a bit tatty in places, drinks machines out of order, etc. £30ish for two of us having pittas, both with 2 sides and soft drinks, so prices are reasonable. Wouldn't rush back, but it's not that bad.

Service here was terrible, rude staff and the service area was cluttered with food waiting to be served to guests ( I’m not sure how long the food had been sat there for) chips were on the floor by the service areas which had not been cleaned up. Unfortunately we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to get us some cutlery. When the food arrived the chicken was dry and tough, you could barely cut it with a knife. I will no be dinning here again which is unfortunate as I had being to this nandos previously a few years ago and had a pleasant meal.

Came in with a friend we got to our table and when I questioned them about the chicken stick to show table is taken and waiting for our order they said they don’t have any cos people like me and friend would steal it and put it in our bags when we don’t this very poor service and slanderous accusing us of looking like thieves when we don’t I normally like Nando’s and don’t have any issues but the one in bullring Birmingham near Pizza Hut is a big fat NO NO as you won’t wanna be told you look like thieves if you want a good Nando’s go to Birmingham New Street they are far better then here at the bullring

I came here with 3 friends for a quick meal before a concert. We ordered using the table scanning service. 1 friends meal arrived after about 15 minutes, but she had finished her food before ours had even arrived. We queeried it and were told our food had been ‘lost’. They told us we would have to wait a little bit longer whilst they remade the food. Then, they took this food to the wrong table. By the time it got to us the food was cold and not worth the hour wait. I’m very disappointed as I have never had a bad experience with nandos until now. We didn’t receive any discount or free drinks etc. despite asking for a free round of drinks whilst we waited for our food. Will not be returning.

Had the greatt imitator with medium spice, could barely taste the spice on it and it was so bland. Had broccoli as a side, again over cooked and bland. My food took 20 mins to come after my friends so she had finished eating before mine had even arrived. The person taking the order was rude and uninterested. Tried to order using the scanning system on the table and it was too difficult, wish it worked so didn't have to see her scowly face. The meal was only saved by the brilliant company of my friend

A lit of things unavailable was handed a written nite after sitting down wasn't told as we came in. A male member of staff shouted at some customers for blocking the way and it could have been said wothout shouting and have been more polite. Although it wasn't aimed at me it got my back up a bit. Soda machine Out of order. Staff stood looking at us in the entrance instead of asking if they could help. We were waiting as we thought people sat on bench were waiting to be seated but they had already ordered. Food tasted good though (the slim pickings that were still available) Service needs work. Food should be in stock. Machines should be in working order.

Came here for some dinner on a day out which we normally go to when in Birmingham but I do feel standards have slipped. We were greeted and promptly seated. We opted to use the scan and order system which was easy enough. The server only arrived with one glass instead of two so had to go back to get another. Then the mains arrived before the food and when we told the server he said he wouldn't take them back so we eventually had our starters but by the time we finished them the mains were cold. We were never asked by the same server if the food was OK but another staff member came over and asked us and we told them our problems and I must admit he told the manager and the manager came and apologised and asked what he could do for us. As there was nothing wrong with the food we declined. I asked another server for balsamic vinegar and she gave me plain. I then asked another server and they gave us balsamic dressing which is not the same. Overall, I won't hurry back which is a shame.

If you like chicken, Nando's have no egual, and the price are really resonable. The humus was amazing as the rest of the food. They miss the fifth star only because the was so focus on cleaning to close, but it's understandable as was sunday...

Visited many many Nando's over the years, this unit is the best ever, ordered including starters, wow they came as starters not part of the main course so it can be done, chicken was amazing good side didn't look like the pigeon size we get in London, the marinade penetrated the chicken, very busy place, sat down very quickly, staff helpful, they actually looked like they were enjoying the work not clock watching, well done. Been meaning to write this review for the past 3 times visited in the past 2 months. Amazing service from my favorite member of staff lunga (manager) (aplogies for mispell) Every time i come its like a 1st time service. Anything from the food, the service and hard work. He stands out every time being attentive to each customer. All other staff are always polite also. ( A lady with curly hair on the tills with a kneck piercing was very helpfull too). Going to a resturant for some decent priced tasty food really changes the experience when you have great customer service. Lunga really shows inpeccable customer service and team work. I always watch him making his team happy and relaxed and the atmosphere filled with nice energy. The food always comes out quick and grand central is the best for fresh avacadoe. Hullumi is always cooked perfectly and the chickin is delicious. I usually have the Double chicken pitta with sun dried tomatoes, fresh salad and delicious Sauces- Yummy dish! I have brought 3 different groups of friends here now and they have mentioned Lungas service before i have even said that hes great. So thank you to lunga and your team for always making nandos that extra bit tastier and enjoyable! Martine (Very happy Regular nandos customer).

We decided to have lunch here. I opted for the summer salad with watermelon. It said it would be generously sprinkled with feta cheese but there was probably only a couple of cubes. Saying that it was delicious.

Long queue which was dealt with quickly. Tasty food and lots of soft drinks. Clean and tidy even though very busy

Visiting Birmingham so decided to try Nando’s. The tables were dirty I think due to the lack of staff. The food was cold, chicken dry and servers to busy chatting with each other and serve customers.

Came in for an early evening meal after shopping, seated by a friendly guy who seemed pretty upbeat, went up to order only to find that half the menu isn’t available because they have no wraps or pittas? Seems pretty crucial considering a third of your menu is pittas and wraps? Seems stupid that the guy who seated us didn’t mention it when we sat down just a quick “by the way we’re not able to sell half our menu tonight sorry”. Just seems a bit shoddy.

We visited this branch on Sunday 26th may 7 of us told the wait was 10 minutes and it was showed to our table which wasn't very clean and chicken bones under the chair but went to place our order which in itself was a ridiculous the girl taking the order was just plain rude given a glass to go for your drink glass dirty food brought to our table wrong orders the guy spoke that fast not one of us caught what he said so through gritted teeth and rolling of the eyes he sorted it out the staff were hiding near the back on their phones tiles coming off the walls it was truly awful and no one from the company of nando's ever replies to anyone so they just get away with it you should take your staff to the one in the mail box for training they know how to run a restaurant

Parece que en el último par de años, Nandos realmente ha mejorado sus opciones de menú. Mi compañero fue por el pollo entero (¡que era enorme! Tenía que llevar algo a casa en una caja). Y me decidí por una opción vegetariana: halloumi y champiñones con guisantes machos y arroz picante (realmente quería el Supergrain, sin embargo, se habían acabado). Comida delicada y servicio muy amable:)

Cuando llegamos a la puerta nos dijeron que la espera sería de 15 minutos porque el restaurante está ocupado. Hemos esperado y nos sentamos unos 15 minutos más tarde para descubrir (durante el viaje al baño) que toda la planta superior está vacía y que hay mucho espacio disponible. Durante nuestra espera en la cola innecesaria, algunas personas han dejado la, por lo que Nandos ha perdido clientes debido al tiempo de espera. No estoy contento de que me hayan dicho que debo esperar si había espacio disponible para que nos sentáramos inmediatamente. ¡Especialmente que había un gran grupo de señoras cenando arriba por su cuenta! ! El servicio rápido es crucial para mí, especialmente en la estación de tren cuando estoy esperando la conexión de mi tren. Este no es el servicio al que estoy acostumbrado en Nandos y me sorprendió descubrir que podía evitar la prisa que tenía para tener mi comida. Sólo su personal tomaría el control de la situación. Abren a las 11 am del sábado, nos mostraron una mesa y luego la camarera dijo que podemos pedir pero la comida no estará lista hasta las 11. 30 y no había nadie excepto nosotros. Increíble, hay muchos más lugares para comer y la comida estará lista en 10 minutos.

Choix entre plusieurs restaurants dans ce grand centre commercial où la carte proposait des salades qui me faisaient envie . La file d’attente laisse à penser que l’adresse est courue. Le décor est sympa. Ce qu’il faut savoir, c’est qu’on vous installe à une table avec les menus, puis..... c’est à vous de jouer. Faut aller passer sa commande au comptoir, payer, aller se chercher couverts, serviettes et verres et ce n’est qu’après que vous pourrez déguster vos plats. Ma salade végétarienne était très bonne, on sent que les produits sont frais et c’est copieux. Si vous voulez un dessert, pensez-y au départ, sinon c’est reparti pour commande, caisse....

Came her for a dinner with my boyfriend. It was very busy so we did have to wait for a table, but the food was good and came with no problems.

Sinds ik kennis heb gemaakt met Nando's, probeer ik bij ieder bezoek aan Groot Brittannië minstens 1 keer bij een Nando's te eten. Ik hou van het informele en de ruime keuze aan gerechten en sausjes van fris tot vlammend heet.

Chain restuarant. Good quality food. Semi self service as have to order food at counter and pay first. Prices are reasonable

The other day I visited nandos and I ordered 2 sides with my meal I got none my boyfriend ordered 3 sides he got 2 so I had to share with him . I understand it’s busy but they’ve got to maintain the standards that people expect but it seems as though they are getting enough people to eat there they just don’t care on the standards of the food. If you’re in Birmingham I’d avoid nandos it’s a waste of time.

Waited about 5 minutes for a table which we thought was very reasonable as it was a very busy lunchtime. Our order was taken quickly and the food came really quickly too! Efficient service and really nice food. Really impressed!

Excellent service, fast when on lunch break. Cheesecake was too die for. Recently opted for the peri peri flavour. Used to have mango and lime but team persuaded me to have peri peri and I didn’t regret the decision.

Great service, quality of food is good and taste. Staff are friendly and helpful. I had to wait for 20min to get the table and busy service. Fino pitta and hot wings are delicious and taste. Would go here again.

Last minute decision. Waited a few mins to be seated. Was busy but to be expected for a Saturday lunch time. Me and my partner had a sharer which was really nice. Reasonably priced. Food came out really quickly and was nice and hot. Staff friendly

My partner and I first visited Nando's years ago and just couldn't understand what all the fuss was about...it's just chicken! But when they updated their menu, we decided to give it another try and we weren't disappointed. We are now regulars at the Birmingham branch and our now local in the Kingfisher, Redditch.

Here on holiday ordered through app. Lied about trying to deliver and won't give me a refund. Obviously didn't bother coming to hotel as we were at reception the entire time. Absolute scam. Terrible customer service. I was a regular Nandos customer. Never again. Great way to treat tourists. Ruined our first day here.

Another decent Nando’s, with options for both meat-eaters, vegetarians & even vegans. The restaurant isn’t overly big in size, considering it’s central Bullring location, & can get pretty busy on the weekends, with a queue sometimes forming outside. However the turnover is pretty quick & we’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes (although now we normally try to visit either for an early lunch, or in the mid-afternoon to avoid the rush). Despite the busy atmosphere, service has always been quick & efficient whenever we’ve visited & the food is the usual tasty quality we’d expect from Nando’s.

Quite a small Nando’s compared to some, quite busy, the food was as you’d expect - hot and fresh! Some of the staff were friendly but others were clearly bored and couldn’t be bothered. Sadly witnessed quite an aggressive argument between a customer and two staff members and I have to say it made me and my daughter feel very uncomfortable and I don’t feel the staff handled the situation very well at all and were really quite rude to the customer (whatever the issue was, it’s never okay to speak to customers like this in front of a full restaurant). It has put me off returning there if I’m honest.

What can I say we were in Birmingham for the weekend and we wanted something cheap and cheerful.

Tasty chickendishes, and a very Big variation of awesome sides. A party in the mouth. We will come back!

Very busy, but staff were pleasant enough. I'm not impressed with having to queue to order and pay before receiving any food; do they have a lot of people running out without paying? Started with fried halloumi - it was good; went on to a chicken wrap - it was a bit of a non-event: not much taste and a bit tough. I didn't feel it had been cooked to order. Went upstairs to ladies - not an experience I would like to repeat; if a restaurant is busy, which this is, they have to have very regular inspections of the facilities to make sure everything is clean. I don't think I'll go back to this Nando's,

I like how central and accessible this Nando's is, I've even been on my own because I like the atmosphere so much.

Out of all the Nando’s in Birmingham this is the worst one. I ordered the chicken butterfly and got given the most tiniest piece ever. Not only was the tiniest piece it was also dry as anything. Definitely not worth paying £11 something for, I know it’s called cheeky Nando’s but I found this rude. I’m definitely not coming to this one again!

Every visit to Birmingham we visit this nandos a tradition by now. Was seated very quickly considering it was after 5pm when we got there. Food arrived fast and was lovely. Only negative was a member of staff took away the other 2 plates from my friends whilst I was still eating rather than waiting for us all to be done.

Visited early Sunday afternoon and got seated straight away. Nice food as always though one of our sides was forgotten about

We had the "very spicy" chicken and some chicken wings. They have different sides that combine quite well with the chicken. Flavour was good. The beers were nice.

Nandos is Nandos - you can't really go wrong. The food always tastes amazing, the chips are hot, the chicken is delicious, etc etc. The Bullring store is always exceptionally busy - we had to wait 20 minute for a table, then the food took...

Gotta love all Nando’s no matter where. Birmingham branch is good and conveniently in the city centre, however, on weekends might be waiting a long time to get a table. Reasonably clean.

Me and my son pop in every Christmas after doing our Christmas shopping. We usually have to wait for a table because it’s always so busy. But it’s worth the wait.The staff are so friendly and very helpful.The food is always so good .

We visited Nandos in Birmingham on a recent trip to the city and enjoyed a great meal up to the usual quality.

I should probably admit that this is the first time I’ve been to Nando’s, I hear people going on about how good it is, so thought I should try. After my initial confusion of why the waitress wasn’t taking my order, I realised that I should order at the till. I ordered a new wrap and two sides- it was all really nice! So I’ve discovered that I like Nando’s too, just like everyone else!

My husband and I went on a Saturday evening with our 4 month old in tow with a large pram. We had no reservation but were shown to a table immediately and in a lovely quiet corner of the restaurant where we had plenty of room for the pram - the staff took notice of our needs straight away.

Shown to a seat as soon as we walked in and given menus. My husband then went to order and by the time he came back with our drinks a waitress was bringing over our food!!

This was my first visit to any Nandos so a little unsure what to expect.Warm welcome by the staff and good selection from the menu.Unsure how to order and had to ask, but not a big issue.Food was great and not too much of a wait before the food arrived.When leaving had a number of friendly thanks and good byes from the staff, in all a great experience.

I absolutely love going to Nandos for a grilled chicken fix! My favourite is the mango and lime marinade.If you want spicy marinades,they have varying levels on offer. Their sauces are amazing again of varying heat.Their piri chips and sweet potato mash as sides are pretty good. I have been to Nandos several times all over the UK and I have never been disappointed with the food. I would recommend everyone to definitely give it a go.The atmosphere is always buzzing,full of people and nice decor and music to complement the place. My favourite chilled out place to hang out!

Visitamos este Nando's el miércoles 27 de diciembre a las 11. 55:00, el restaurante estaba lleno, pero nos dieron una mesa directamente, nuestro servicio fue rápido y la comida llegó a sólo 10 minutos más tarde, nuestro pollo estaba muy bien preparado y de buen gusto. No obstante, aquí el personal diciendo algunos clientes que había una espera de 10 minutos o así, lo que era extraño ya que la zona de estar arriba estaba vacío!

We visited Nando's whilst shopping. Despite being in a long queue, it went down and we where seated rather quickly. The building was spacious and it had plenty of seating on two floors.

Never been to a Nando's before and I was spending the day at the German Markets with some friends and thought we'd pop in here for some lunch.

Quite a queue to get seated but the front of house guy and the team sorted this out really quickly. Nice and clean throughout .. good standard all round . Food served quickly and well cooked. Nando’s is sometimes a bit hit and miss but this one in the bullring is really well managed and staffed.

Once more unto the chicken ranch!If you've read any of my previous reviews you know how I feel about Nandos! Its chicken! What the hell do you expect! It don't take a lot of skill to chuck some spice liver a shook and cook it, I know! I've been a chef in a past life.But anyway pretty busy on arrival and a lovely young lady helped us out and got us a member of staff to take us upstairs! Oh dear I wished we had Stayed downstairs!Upstairs is a pitiful den of decoration!! One corner has a retro 70s look and not a good one, another corner has the student art on the wall, bad and just tacky, the last area is the side of what looks like a run down boatshed!I watched staff bicker and moan, food going up and down in the lift... And up and down and up and down you get the idea.Staff dropped cleaning bottles on the floor and just left them there a def trip hazard for staff and customers. I then went to the loo. Suffice to say I needed wellies and to clean my shoes on leaving. Not pleasant and def not cleaned in a while. I would not go back to this Nandos, not upstairs anyway!I usually can enjoy my family trips to Nandos but this was terrible.

We were visiting Birmingham for the weekend and arrived quite late on Friday needing something quick to eat. Nando's is usually a safe bet so we opted to visit the Bullring restaurant with my (vegetarian!) friend in tow. Service was friendly and food was served lightening fast as it usually is at this particular restaurant. That being said, we didn't feel rushed at all.The food was good, my friend enjoyed her mushroom and halloumi wrap and I enjoyed my extra hot chicken wrap (although I find the extra hot isn't much hotter than normal hot but that's not a restaurant specific issue).Definitely one to visit for quick, tasty food but keep your eye on alcohol prices, as like all Nando's these can be quite pricey.

No tiene mucha variedad en la carta aunque hay muchas cosas con pollo y con picante. La comida está muy buena aún así. El servicio es semi-self service, te traen la comida pero lo demás (cubiertos, bebida, etc) hay que cogerlo por tu cuenta.

From the outside this looks like the place to be.. music and laughter. I decided to dine in & the hostess staff was friendly w/ smiles. Ordered my food w/o a problem & the food came. The presentation looked yummy and for the most part it was. My only issue was the chicken was rather bland but the Nando sauce made it a tad better. I’d definitely go back again & try something different so see if I get a different experience.

半自助形式，取位，到櫃檯點餐，自取餐具及Nando's的各式醬汁，等職員送上食物一場來到，怎會不點Nando's的王牌燒雞？只是終日下來吃吃喝喝，仍有飽意幸好店方提供不同份量（1/4胸或腿、1/2及全隻）及有骨、無骨的選擇考慮良久，決定點份1/4 Chicken Leg with Supergrain and Macho Peas　£7.35雞皮烤至重焦，就是燶黑部分帶苦，而薄身雞皮沒有多少皮下脂肪，少分膩沒有多少肉汁油脂可言，總算未會乾韌涸喉，雞肉亦十分入味香口其實Nando's名作另有Peri-peri辣醬，店內供應多款口味的Peri-peri：Lemon&Herb、Wild Herb、Garlic、Mango、Hot與Extra Hot等等，客人可自由添加伴菜先有Supergrain，尤其喜歡其穀物纖維嚼感，亦加入豆類添上粉感及清甜醬汁以牛油果及酪奶製作，不似沙律醬般膩口，卻帶相差無幾的酸甜潤感而Macho Peas更簡單清新，就是青豆加香芹及辣椒等調味雖然有我討厭的薄荷，但味啖不嗆，而且看在青豆綿甜去膩，照樣清光簡單以清水作伴足夠；若喜歡可樂、芬達和雪碧，花£2.6即可無限添飲，係抵既！

Everything was great the food was great and the price was really affordable we has[d a family of 5 which cost £65 in total. The wait was slightly long but it was worth it. I felt though desserts let the whole meal down however I had the chillie brownie who I was actually surprising tasty and the chillie added an extra kick to the whole brownie. The staff were good, not out of this world and the bottomless drinks are totally worth it. Great food!
