Nando's in Lewisham

Visited for early tea on a Tuesday. Food was hot and tasty and service was good. Loved the free WiFi and the relaxed feel.

After a busy morning, we had a nice time as a family. I'm not a fan of chips, but Nando's chips are always really nice! Everyone enjoyed their meal and the staff were very accommodating.

A bit disorganised but generally very helpful staff and good atmosphere, came here for a birthday with 8 children! In the end it kind of felt like home but staff were super friendly

Nando's is improving, better service and the food is delicious.

Bought a platter for two the portion size was for one. Apart from that it was a great experience and Ajoke was very warm and welcoming and she was very helpful. Great customer service from her.

Went in the afternoon with my family. Food was on point and staff were friendly and polite. Will come back 👍🏽

Really impressed. I hadn't realised that there's so much healthy food available at Nandos. I had the spicy rice bowl and shared my friend's chicken. So good!

We just wanted to give a special shoutout and thank you to Joseph who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, his customer service skills are exceptional and honestly he embodies everything that makes a true Nandoca. Thank you so much Joseph you made our dinning experience so much better!

Ordered for collection. Missed items and when rang up was given no apology and when said my partner would come and collect items was made to feel like I was asking for something I had not paid for when I was at no fault. I understand mistakes happen and I was polite on the phone but all that was needed was an apology and some understanding from your end. now have to make journey back and my partners food will be cold by the time he actually gets to eat it.

Our local Nandos & we always get great service here - but last night in particular, we were greeted by Ajoke, who was truly amazing! She went above board for us, from making us laugh and checking in on our meal etc. I had already decided I was going to leave her a review as she truly cheered us both up when I saw her having to deal with some difficult and rude customers. I was infuriated for her, so just a note to say that her kindness was appreciated!

Good as usual. However they had difficulty seating 7 of us. We used the staff table 😉

Nando's never disappoints. Even though I only bought a fizzy drink as I waited for someone, I got the same excellent care. I used the app to order and the food came literally in minutes.

Was an Enjoyable experience made easy by manager Ajoke Atola. Very attentive to our needs and the atmosphere was less hectic and more pleasant.

Special mention to Gelson was an absolute pleasure and was very helpful

Had a really good experience when i went on Friday ( 19th July). Ajoke was really helpful and professional. Received nothing but great service from her.

There were only two things I can rate on this visit the Halloumi sticks and the waiter Dylan. If I could score him 5 I would. The food took quite long, which left the four young children waiting and extremely hungry. When it arrived it was completely burnt, the chicken and all the corn. When I called another waitress over (not Dylan) she said "did you order it well done!" Rude tone included. When another returned of course they undercooked it, I felt this was a passive aggressive move on their part. I would not recommend coming here and would advise for a short journey to visit Streatham, camberwell or Brixton instead.

Vegan options have definitely up their game. Got their veggie burger with added mushroom and avocado. It was really good. Also enjoyed the coleslaw.

I’ve been going to this nando’s for a while and one of the servers, Esther always makes sure me and my friends are seated quickly and gives us the best service!

It's usually decent, but it's always totally different staff whenever I go in - and I often get the sense that those who work there are just getting the hang of things. Nothing wrong with that, but I think it says a lot about a place when it has such a high staff turnover. Food is usually good, though more often than not they forget something or get something wrong, but it's addressed promptly. The main issue I have is that they always strongly encourage you to order through the app - like, you want me to create a Nando's account and do all the legwork of your staff? No chance. I'm eating out for a reason. They have eased off on this push a little bit, and you can order at the desk, but for so long I'd have a constant battle with someone there about whether I could order at the desk. At first they would only let you if you were paying cash, even though they had a card reader at the desk. Clearly they had complaints about this. Anyway, I go here at least once a week, so it can't be that bad.

At our table we were greeted by Dilan, he was friendly, attentive and responded to my requests promptly without fuss. He checked on our table a few times making sure we were all ok, cleared our table quickly and even offered straws and sauces. Dilan gave us a bag of sauces for our leftovers as well as wishing us a good weekend when we left. Overall I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, 5 star service with a smile.

Friendly staff go above and beyond

Lovely place to eat, came in today. Really friendly staff, Dilan was particularly polite and couldn’t do enough. We had to wait a little while as there was a mistake in the kitchen but they couldn’t apologise enough. What seemed like the manager in a white and blue shirt came over and apologised and she was really pleasant. The food was great and the atmosphere was really chill and relaxed. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Amazing food and staff especially Dilan who was friendly and polite and Ajoke who was bubbly and moved me and my sister out of the sun and into the shade!! 😊😊

Food not great when I went Sunday 16th June, but our server Gelson tried very hard to make things better and was super helpful

Today I went to the Nando’s in Sydenham with my boyfriend. Food was lovely and all the staff was lovely but one lady in particular who served us was amazing and so sweet. She was wearing a white polka dot blouse with her brown hair up.( I didn’t want to distract her from working and ask for her name.) she was providing great customer service and I really hope she is valued here. The blonde man with the stretcher was absolutely lovely as well. Thank you Sydenham Nando’s!

It's OK experience, service time too much, No cash counter and only online payment. Some staffs not professional. But food is good.

Left me hungry no food disgusting paid £50.15 for 2 large chips no compensation

I can’t rate this place or recommend it at all! £17.95 for a tiny single chicken breast, chips and garlic bread with a side Hollumi! This is becoming an utter joke! The fact service was ok and pretty quick I’m really unimpressed with the food. I won’t be coming back to these overpriced chicken places, oh and please note 60 days to use your chillies otherwise thier all gone! What a con.

Dry food Very bad .did complain and ask for a refund. No answer. Only answer l have its a aoutomatic reply. And dos not make any sense. Never again. And don't waste your time and money.

Most of the time lm at work . My misses takes the kids to this place. And she told me when l get there , There is a lady look after the kids very well . So l was interested to see who is she . Went there with the family. And l seen this lovely lady. And l asked her name . APRIL thank you very much for looking after my family. You and the guys doing great work. Excellent service. But today Monday 20/05/24 l have visited the place absolutely harobul food everything we orderd was dry nothing fresh And run out of most items. If l give any star its for APRIL. Thay response with automatic response Saying, we will let the team know! Don't understand team to do what . I need my money back Refund ASAP.

I tried several types of chicken, and the degree of doneness and taste was unparalleled, in addition to the different and delicious sauces. I highly recommend it. It attracts children before adults. The service is not good and the atmosphere is beautiful. I will repeat the visit👌

Really enjoy visiting this Nandos. The service and food are always great. Yesterday I was warmly welcomed by Gelson who then checked to see everything was ok several times, being super friendly whenever he did. Other staff are great too, I always enjoy revisiting and am lucky to live closeby!

One woman who always answer the phone - Esther is extremely rude and unwilling to help with order issues. Hung up on me three times when calling to try and discuss. Have dealt with her on a couple of other occasions with order requests and always has a major attitude, very rude. Never had this with any other Nandos - the staff are always amazing and so friendly but this woman’s attitude stinks. AVOID THIS STORE.

Sorela provided exceptional customer service during our recent visit. Despite a delay in receiving our food, she promptly intervened to follow up on our order, ensuring a positive outcome. Her efforts left us satisfied and content as we left with full stomachs. Sorela's ability to maintain a calm and cheerful demeanor in a fast-paced environment deserves recognition and applause.

Nandos is somewhere I haven't been to for 15 years or so, but the food is as good, and as cheeky, as always. What makes Sydenham's branch stand out is the genuinely kind and friendly staff, their attitude makes this restaurant seem less like a branch and more like an independent that cares about it's customers and it's food.

Just a regular Nando’s, only more quiet.

Being a local who regularly visits the Sydenham branch, the level of customer service and food never fails to deliver. On this occasion in particular, my order was taken by a young gentleman by the name of Jonathan. The level of service Jonathan provided me with was exceptional. He was very attentive, polite and well-mannered. Keep up the good work!

We knew the wait would take a while, as it was a busy evening, though when the food comes out barely lukewarm and missing parts -especially for new items on the menu- it’s not a good impression. The Smoky Churrasco Burger had no greens in it at all, nor did the Sunset Burger. Staff were walking around eating chips and cheesecake.

We've had two encounters now with this branch via deliveroo. The first time we ordered and our order didn't show up for over an hour and a half, we then chose to call the store and it turns out no one had thought to contact us to let us know that our dish was out of stock. We then agreed with the guy on the phone that he's process our order with a different dish. We then waited and waited by this time it was about 4 hours after we ordered and the store closed which automatically cancelled our order. Yesterday we ordered again, the portion of slaw was an absolute joke. The fact you guys charge so much for sides and all they keep doing is getting smaller is a joke. Our chicken was also missing from our order... I think there must be something seriously wrong with the training or management of this store. Turn deliveroo off if your staff cant handle it.

Vegetarian options are more than fine and the prices are ok.

Always understaffed at lunch time. Been 3 or 4 times. we had a group of 14. 3 people had to ask 4 times and wait 40 mins for food. People who ordered after them with similar meals got their food first. It wasn't busy just poor service

Went out for a cheeky Nando’s today. I like coming to Sydenham because it’s always clean, quick and I’ve never had any problems. Food was great too. Shout out to Lucas and Pierre they were great. Coming back soon

Enjoyed an end of year cheeky Nando's at the Sydenham site. Our first time there and a good experience. Wasn't very busy so we had a choice of the comfy seats in the middle of the restaurant. Service was with a smile and our food was prepared well and delivered in very good time. Although this branch isn't quite as local as our usual Nando's.... I'm sure we will visit again as service was very good.

Slow to take the order for food, there was no one at the till for at least 5 minutes. Waited ages for the food to come and it wasn't a big order either, had to pick up part of the order myself as it was left at the counter, the worse thing was we were the only sitting customers at the time, so it wasn't like it was busy. The chicken wraps are very disappointing, hardly any chicken in it, same level as a wrap from the supermarket meal deal. Overall this was a poor experience on all levels and will not be going nandos again.

You need to sort out your delivery service. Time and time again there are missing items from my delivery. And its not small items such as a sauce - its whole sides. Today for example they managed to miss out a regular peri chips. Should be very hard to miss but clearly the staff here do not care about being thorough and giving the customer the food they paid for. Good luck.

Really do not recommend this nandos in sydenham. Me and my group ordered food over an hour and was still waiting not only for food but also our drinks. More than an hour just to get a chocolate cake for my daughter. No excuses here at all; only have to take the chocolate cake prebought out of the cake stand. Bottomless drinks ordered also no excuse as they only had to provide the cups to us. Food not that great either. Ridiculous waiting with no one coming to help at all. Saw several people walk out and very disappointed with this nandos. Also several customers also waiting so long and had to keep asking for drink glasses ordered over an hour as well. Would not bother visiting this nandos as the wait is as long NHS at the hospital.

The food was amazing, classic Nando's. My only issue was the hygiene. The plates and cutlery had dry food bits stuck to them which was a bit disgusting. Everything else was fine

I just had a cheeky nandos here, but chicken was very dry and the rice was cold. Two of the group had to send their rice back and then had a long wait fir the replacement. Nandos usually hits the spot but sadly it didn't tonight

The guy that was cooking the chicken use his feet to open the drawer that contains the chicken. When ask why the reply was, that’s how they do it. When I look in the back a staff was in the back with Afro out with no hair net on. This environment is disgusting. I surely won’t be eating there ever again

I ordered a full plater and an extra quarter chicken. The chicken was extremely dry and looked old like from the previous day. I approached the kitchen when I was leaving and noticed the other food they were serving looks lovely and tender. I came at the wrong time to eat the remain from a day before. We practically soaked the chicken in sauce to be able to eat it. 😏😒 The staff looks kind. When I told them about my food the lady responded politely saying ‘next time it will be better’

The reason why I'm giving 3 starts is because of the cleaning was very poorly especially the toilets, which actually was disgusting

Probably the worst chicken in London. I can forgive the frozen chips and coleslaw, but this place is supposed to be about the chicken and it was abysmal. Tiny portion of half chicken and dry as dust, even with sauce it was inedible. Staff seemed nice enough, Alice in particular, but food wise works be better off going to Lidl for their cooked chicken. Nandos really was that bad and expensive with it.

Chicken was quiet tough and chewy. The frozen yogurt, chocolate flavour was awful! Tasted like chocolate and water, no taste of any diary ( not smooth all). Shame really as I uses to like Nandos. Seems like most places focused on cuttng corners these days to keep margins high. Staff were great. Looks like Nandos is off my list.
