Nando's in Southampton

Great staff ,friendly inviting made us feel relaxed all staff were happy and had a smile on , made change to see this ,food was good all round had a lovely meal will go back for sure .

No he ido a casa de Nando por varios años como nadie local para mí. Sin embargo en un viaje de compras hoy decidió almorzar en una en la zona comercial. Excelente bienvenida, muy amable e informativo. Pedir era fácil y la persona era servicial. La persona que trajo la orden también fue muy educado. El lugar estaba muy limpio y no podía fallar. La comida fue entregada con prontitud y estuvo deliciosa. Hice llegar mis saludos al manager, que debería estar muy orgulloso de su equipo. ¡Diez de cada diez a todos!

Hice un pedido de comida para llevar e introdujeron la comida incorrecta en mi pedido, y no podía contar correctamente la diferencia de cambio entre lo que pedí y lo que introdujeron. Esto me obligó a esperar más de 30 minutos y solo pedí chips cargados a las 9 pm. Cuando pedí utensilios para mis chips cargados, solo recibí cucharas. No sé cómo mi experiencia de pedido podría haber sido más errónea.

There was no service at all the staff was not friendly we had to go get our own cutlery there was no cutlery on the table ,the table was dirty.Very disappointed.

We visited on a busy Saturday, Mike the front of house manager was great at managing waiting times for a table and got us seated as soon as possible. Given how busy the whole centre was this excellent customer service made a real difference! The food was the usual Nando’s standard (good)

My girlfriend and I came to have lunch here recently. The place was very welcoming and well-organized. The food arrived promptly and was truly delicious. I recommend that everyone try it. The manager, James, was very kind and gracious. Thanks everything.

Called in for lunch. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Meal awful. Husband had chicken thighs and I had wings. Shared fries and coleslaw. Food lukewarm, plates cold. Had to send wings back to be recooked as skin not at all crisp. Coleslaw like cheap supermarket offering. Shame, we would not recommend this place!

This was pretty average for a NANDOS. The food was okay, not the warmest but tasted fine. I did find a medium spice sticker in my chicken pitta but this may have been my fault. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

Went here for what we thought would be a quick lunch, however we were waiting for so long. We ordered through our phone and when the starter came we asked them to start preparing our mains as it was one started shared between 2 people. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes before asking a waitress who then went over to the kitchen and took our food which we could see had been sitting there for at least 10 minutes. The food was okay! The staff however all looked like they had somewhere better to be and only one person seemed to be doing everything! One waitress was just doing laps of the restaurant not acknowledging the customers.

The order was wrong. The food was luke warm, the staff were rushed. The taste was genuinely hideous. Never again will I go to any branch of this overpriced and very overrated chain.

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! - Fake kids's chicken burger I am still absolutely shocked to discover my kid's chicken burger was fake chicken. Both of my kids ordered the same as both mentioned to me it was a little chewy but youngest ate it all but my oldest left most of his. I decided to eat it myself and it felt like I was eating wet paper. So I took the chicken and rinse it under water, to my shocking discovery, I was left with white stringy matter. I showed it to the store manager and he reimbursed me for a single child's meal......What is this place serving our kids, fake chicken? poison? I just pray my children won't get sick cause if they do, they will have to answer to this. Absolutely shocking!!

I was looking forward to go to Nando's as i had an excellent experience in Salisbury. The half a chicken i ordered was 2 chicken legs ,not like the half a chicken in salisbury. Watched all our meals under the hot plate for about 10 minutes so when we got our meal it was not hot . Will not be going back.

This Nandos is like any other. I guess that is the idea with which these places pride themselves. They are all very much similar. But what was significant here was the long queue. Granted it was a Saturday lunchtime. And add to that the fact it was Chinese New Year. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that the highlight was the long wait for a table. In their favour, however, the queue was efficiently managed and we got our table quite quickly.

Good quality was ok not very hot arrived very quickly. Ordered the special butterfly chicken burger and my partner ordered the chicken fillet both of which state in the menu as two chicken breast when they arrived we were quite surprised to see that it in fact was a single breast that had been butterflyed (if that a word) 🤣 I think for the food quality & quantity it’s expensive for what is now essentially a fast food place!

Having eaten at multiple excellent Nandos I had no reason to expect this one to be any different. Had to wait around 40 minutes for food to be delivered to our table after reminding staff we were still waiting 30 minutes after ordering. Had a beanie, couldn't taste any mayo or medium peri peri sauces at all. Most odd experience. Staff polite but seemed to be plodding around aimlessly. Other diners also complaining about long waits and poor standard of food. We just made it to the cinema in time but fast food this certainly ain't!

Came to nandos for a cheeky one with my friend. Ordered a wrap (beanie with added halloumi) with two things taken out of it (one being the yogurt mayo due to having a slight intolerance and lettuce). After my food arrived, I checked the wrap I ordered and to my surprise it contained the mayo. As such I decided to send the wrap back by taking it to the counter to which it was understood I would get another wrap cooked for me. I then went to sit back down with my friend (who had his food) and one of the servers decides to come back over and say I was incorrect. This seemed really disrespectful to me as the order was quite clearly incorrect and as the food was already being remade I didn't see the point in coming over to tell me lies. The food then came over about five minutes later and the mayo was taken out but then my wrap contained lettuce. At this point I asked for a refund as I was fed up and upon recieving this I received the incorrect amount due to the added halloumi in my wrap (being an extra £1.50). Will not be coming back

First visit to Nandos. Luckily I had my two sons with me as you had to order via QR scan. Not everyone can or have these on their phones. Internet connection slow. Once ordered food arrived quickly.  However one thing I was not happy about I have a blue light card. Although not NHS I'm still entitled to one. When I ask a staff member she said yes we take them but only the NHS staff get discount on it!!! Bluelight is NOT just for NHS. Nandos you need to look into this. Apart from this the food was good

We arrived at the restaurant and where place at table 8 not a great table to be fair and then we wait after we paid for over 10 mins before we even got out glasses and the staff are very slow

We wanted to give a special Thanks to Chelle for her kindness in telling us about closing time while we were still looking at the menu outside the restaurant and for treating us with such kindness without even having us as actual customers. She gave us advice on where to find another open Nando's and refilled our water bottle. Charming!

Track and trace is one thing, ordering from a scan on the table is fine but then having to open a Nando’s account before you can actually place the order is ludicrous. It took ages. On top of that the food was cold. It arrived really quickly which is a sign that it was clearly reheated and not cooked fresh. It was a chicken breast burger so not rocket science. The replacement turned up even quicker and wasn’t much warmer. Avoid this place, there’s plenty of better choice on the floor.

Staff seemed lazy and slow to serve. We felt like a burden to them. Covid test and trace felt too long and hard for what it had to be and the food was a tiny bit colder than usual. What do you know about rolling down in the deep

I came here with my in search for the Prego Steak Roll, which is divine, and I was not disappointed. The food is delicious and the service is prompt and friendly. Very professional and welcoming. Would strongly recommend!

Caro, porciones miserables. 10) 25 para una hamburguesa pequeña con 2 muslos de pollo que deben haber venido de la raza de pollo más pequeña del mundo. Fuimos por papas fritas como un lado que deben haber comprado a Islandia, ya que eran muy promedio. La comida con bebidas llegó a 42 para tres de nosotros y sentí pena por mi novia que insistió en pagar ya que la estafaron por completo. No tengo absolutamente nada que recomendar sobre la cadena.

Este restaurante se encontraba en un centro comercial particularmente concurrido y los sábados a la hora del almuerzo se les aconsejó una espera de 15 minutos para una mesa, en realidad solo esperó de 5 a 10 minutos ya que el flujo a través de los clientes fue bien administrado por el personal. La comida el alto nivel habitual y el personal eran geniales

Visited Nando’s in West Quay, Southampton on Sunday 17 November shown to a table and went and ordered a chicken platter at the counter. At the point of paying, the member of staff decided to check to see if there was any chicken left. NO CHICKEN in Nando’s. We left. I thought Nando’s sold chicken!!!????

Nando's, I thought you guys were meant to be a chicken restaurant......mmmm. well the kids had a hard time eating their meals, chicken, broccoli and chips. The only soft thing was the chips. Both children had a really hard time eating the chicken and it was so dry; and the broccoli....I get steaming is healthy, but for kids it still needs to be soft not rubbery and stringy.

Really enjoyed it, staff member was super chatty & friendly - I didn’t catch his name, but made the experience so much better. Had a big order, food order was spot on & good quality!

About a month ago I went with a family member for dinner after shopping in West Quay, we were told the kitchen was super busy and would we mind waiting for a few minutes. This was understandable and the waitress was so lovely and helpful about this that it completely smoothed over the whole situation. Once we ordered, we received our food quickly and enjoyed it so much. I hadn’t been to Nando’s in a good few years and looking at the ‘mix and match’ menu, reminded me of why I used to love it so much. The interior in the Southampton Nando’s is a little bland and empty but the helpful service and food makes up for it. Thank you!

Best Nandos we’ve had in a long time! Everything was high quality and tasty compared to our Nandos in Essex. Restaurant was clean and good ambience. We all had various different meals and everyone said how good it was! Would eat here again

Never been to Nando's before, didn't know what it was about beside it involved spices. Was looking for a place to sit down and have a nice lunch. Although the staff was welcoming and I got directed to an acceptable table, once I was told that I had to go to the counter and order and pay my food there and then. I started to regret my choice of establishment. No great help was offered by the chap that took my order as to what to choose from the menu. I was treated quite indifferently and in front of the strangeness of the menu and the number of questions I was asked with regards of my choice of spice strength, I opted for a Caesar salad with a beer. Word of advice don't order this meal from this restaurant as I was served a very uninteresting meal with some rancid croutons. Although I was asked, I believe by a man who was the manager, how my meal was and I reported that the food was not very good, I was not offered any real apologies. The man simply proceeded to send me someone else to ask me the same question. Having already given feedback to that other person I declined to give it twice and was not asked to repeated my feedback by that other person, he simply turned his back on me and left. Will not return.

Visited today for lunch. Although it was a very busy Saturday - All the staff serving us were excellent, friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. So nice to receive brilliant customer service - thank you - we will definitely be back again.

Nando's in Southampton is situated in the upper level of the West Quay shopping mall.

Very good customer service and the meal was delicious. The only downside was we had to wait abit too long for the food.

We were looking forward to chicken wings but were informed it would be at least an hour delay in preparation. We settled for a whole chicken but found it somewhat dry. Staff are friendly and attentive but this cannot make up for a disappointing meal.

I went to Nandos for the first time after my shopping , delicious food and friendly staff ! The Italian woman was so professional and made a lot of attention about customer around all floor !!

We ate in Nando's yesterday at lunchtime. My husband and I had just had a long journey from Dublin with our three year old daughter. We had a very tasty and enjoyable meal at Nandos but I wanted to write this review to specifically praise the excellent staff. Despite the restaurant being very busy when we arrived, every member of staff who we dealt with was so nice, calm and helpful. I want to single out Dae for praise. He took my order. His engagement with customers is exceptional. He was so busy and yet so calm, friendly and mannerly. I wanted to approach a manager to let them know how highly I thought of their staff but everyone was so busy when we were leaving so I decided to write this review instead. Thanks to everyone at Nandos yesterday for enabling us to have a lovely meal after a long journey.

I went here for a quick meal after going clothes shopping. The food arrived very quickly. It was very fresh tasty and warm. Good for the price.

Fino Pitta: The spicy chicken is perfectly balanced with the sweetness of the chutney, the creamy texture of the halloumi, the delicate leaf of the spinach, all brought together by the gentle mustard sauce and fluffy bread cooked to perfection. An explosion of taste. Simply delicious.

Noisy, overcrowded, poor quality food, overpriced and ultimate all round poor dining experience. Plus side on my visit, there was a nice girl on the counter trying her best but flogging a dead horse.

Arrived around 8:30PM on a Tuesday, had an excellent waiter named Phill, who ensured I had everything I needed, took my order at the counter, delivered my food and made sure everything was ok, an excellent member of staff.

Love Nando's, lots to choose from and good prices. Waitress very polite and helpful, food amazing and hot when delivered to table. Fizzy drinks are refilable, love the different sauces. Prices are good too

Myself and a friend visited this Nando’s the other week on a rainy Friday afternoon, so were really surprised to get greeted and sat down as quick as we did!

Me and my wife lad had a Nando’s a long time ago here. If was the by far the worst Nando’s we have ever had. Put us off visiting any Nando’s for a long time. I’m never one to avoid a restaurant after one bad visit, hence we wanted to give it another go. However after 2 consecutive bad visits were the second me and my wife were both ill for a few days. I think it’s safe to say we will never visit this Nando’s again.

I always have a great experience at Nando’s - the service is quick and the food is great.

Always a high standard with Nandos, this one is the same. Friendly service, quick to deliver food, food hot and tasty. Also good value as portions are very generous.

The staff are pleasant but the system awkward, with ordering at counter but food brought to table. Chicken breast options good but thigh pitta not to our taste. Beers overpriced for 330 ml can/ bottles.

Nando's per me è un must tant'è che ogni qual volta mi reco in UK è ormai diventata una tappa fissa. ll polletto arrosto è squisito cosi come le altre pietanze. Da provare assolutamente!!!

Coming out from the cinema the grand kids suggested Nando's not my favourite type of food but I must say it was very tasty, a warm welcome on entering, we went for the sharing meal, all plates cleared very good service.

As i am veg i loved the veg food available hot spicy sauces and the best part is the ambiance with an amazing interior.

Visited Nandos in Southampton with my wife for a pre-theatre meal. Friendly greeting on arrival and good service all through our meal. Service was quick and food very tasty and good portion size.

Amazing service very friendly staff. Food was above expectations, very tasty I am a vegetarian and had such a nice burger and adapted it to what I would like. Definitely recommended.

Decided to try out nandos as never been before everyone talks about how nice it is.. ordered the sunset burger 2 sides peri chips and corn and gravy £1.75 12.95 for meal.. well it was average gravy not great prefer kfcs just take like normal gravy nothing special what you pay for you can easily make it at home.. 2 year old had kids chicken strips garlic bread and chips garlic bread was nice like a bun chicken like getting chunks from superstore and partner had the wing platter with 4 sides which he asked t0 make it the wing roulette nice chicken wings but could easily make at home not worth over £40 I guess you've got to try things to know.. not sure if I will be going back any time soon would prefer to spend the money on a red dog burger..

Arrived soon after opening and ordered, but no food ready so waited for ages before being fed. Food was tasty and well cooked. Staff very friendly and efficient. Luckily we weren't in a hurry so the wait was ok.

Our first visit to any Nando’s restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed and staff were very friendly and approachable. Food was superb. I think we will become regulars of Nando’s restaurants from now on. I do like it when you pay your bill up front then when your finished your not hanging around for the bill and another wait whilst they bring the card machine. Finish food get up and leave. Job done.

I had a great meal out with friends and after a friendly conversation with the manager, he ended up giving me a free side dish. Made the whole experience that much better!

We visited Nando’s as a party of 4. It was a busy day in the shopping centre but had to wait no more than 10 minutes for a table. Staff were so friendly and accommodating with allergies: “If we can find you something other than chips, we will!”. Having not been out much, this may be the norm, but they had an allergy bible of the complete breakdown of all ingredients in every dish. This would be really helpful for those with only one or two types of ingredient which they can’t eat. The food, as usual with Nando’s was amazing. Would thoroughly recommend this particular outlet from my experience of the staff.

Estoy de viaje en UK con amigos y hemos parado en un centro comercial a comer. Vimos el Nando's y nos decidimos a entrar. Tienes que pedir la comida en una barra, con una atención excelente y rapidez. Los precios son ajustados, ya que lo barato no es lo que predomina en este país.

I, personally, do not see the justification of spending so much money on chicken! The portions are average and you have to pay extra for sides and drinks. Nothing outstanding, awkward layout of tables.....I'd rather go to another chicken outlet and get more for my money & tummy!!

I had a nice night with my friends. Staff was really nice. I just wish the spacing of the tables could be in a different way as we were quite tight.

Can get very busy and you are spoilt for choice here!..Staff were friendly and service was fairly quick as well...The menu offers foods from salads with chicken to wraps and enchiladas...Tasty!

While shopping in Southampton we wanted somewhere slightly different to our usual sort of restaurant. 3 out of the 5 of us hadn't been to a Nandos before, but we were happy we decided to stop here! Although the food area was very busy and Nandos had lots of customers, we didn't have to wait very long to get a table. The menu was easy to understand, the ordering process was straightforward and the food came quickly. Very tasty and well cooked. We'll certainly be back again in the future!

Restauracja położona w foodcourt centrum handlowego. I to jest największy minus. Hałas i jeszcze raz hałas. Toaleta daleko od restauracji. W godzinach obiadowych bardzo duży ruch. Ale jedzenie trzyma standard. Jako wielki fan wątróbek nandos'a które zawsze zamawiam a zazwyczaj różnią się od kraju i restauracji oceniam je tutaj na 7/10. Myślę że lepiej iść do nando's na high street.

Staff were good, food tasted good so no problem there, but whoever designs the food at the head office level really needs to have a look at the classic chicken burger.

I visited Southampton to do some mothers day shopping with my sister & boyfriend. My sister is a fussy eater so I decided to bring her to nando’s because it’s a win win with chicken. They were quite busy so the food took about 20mins or so which we didn’t mind.

When visiting Southampton, I decided to have dinner at Nando's having eaten in a similar place elsewhere and enjoyed it. Same best thing here. As always, you order your food at the counter and say which table you are siting at and then you pay for your food and when cooked it is delivered to you by the dedicated waiters or waitresses. Drinks are available via self-serivce as well as the unique Nando table sauces and oils. I had a butterfly chicken with Nandos herbs peri-peri sauce together with mash potatoes and corn on the cob on the side with a peach flavour rubro drink. I enjoyed my eating experience here even when going on my own.

We are fans of Nando's for a quick meal on the go and often use it at airports. This week, like so may other people, we got stuck in Southampton due to the snow and decided to have lunch at Westquays. As usual, we were greeted with a pleasant smile at Nando's and taken to our table. Food ordered, arrived, tasty as always, nothing really new there. But then, we were asked if we wanted something else after the meal. My partner was about to get up to get more beer but, for the first time in all the years we have been eating at Nando's, Michael offered to go and get it and even brought the card machine to the table. Small gesture, you might think, but meant a lot after three days of treacherous conditions on the roads. Not sure if there are more than one waiter named Michael, this young man may be of Chinese origin. He deserves a huge pat on the back from management as his helpfulness made our day. You just never know how being kind and attentive can make such a huge difference to someone's day.

Popped here for a quick lunch. It wasn't busy and service was very quick, food was cooked well and the staff were friendly. Will be back!

O Nandos é sempre uma ótima opção por cá! O símbolo é o galo de Barcelos, Portugal! É tudo à base de frango, tem vários acompanhamentos e se pedir refrigerante tem “refill “ as vezes que quiser. Eu pedi um peitinho de frango grelhado em pão pita com batata frita e salada coleslaw, mais um refrigerante 12.25 libras. O serviço é muito simpático.

Chose Nandos as a family lunch stop on a shopping trip in West Quay today. Staff very friendly, restaurant clean and tidy. Service very good and food excellent.

The service was quick and the staff where helpful. I couldn’t help but notice that I had no phone signal. This happens in every Nando’s I’ve been in. If this is the case then I think Nando’s should start doing WiFi for customers I think they are one of the only top food restaurants that actually don’t do WiFi. Nevertheless it was a good meal and as always filled me up.

Went on a busy day and got a table within 10 mins, service was good, friendly and fast, kids meal was nice, but the chicken was still a little spicy for my daughter, macho peas were really yummy, and warm pittas with houmous was tasty, unlimited drink refill is good , nice restaurant in great location

went to go eat at Nandos this afternoon and wasnt busy at all yet i still had to stand and wait wile they CLEANED A TABLE for me to sit (thought they usually meant to be ready BEFORE u get there....dont forget it wasnt even busy!!) then knowing what i wanted i went to the till to place my order and was left stood therr begind another customer who had been stood there even longer!!! if it wasnt for me giving dead eyes and disapproving lools i doubt anyone wud u come to our aid!! after being stood around waiting for ages....the staff member taking the order from the customer in front of me didnt seem to know the till system at all as he took an insane amount of time to take the gents order...at which point i decided i wasnt hungry anymore(at least not for nandos anyway!!!) so i left while the gent in front was STILL trying to get his order across!!! exit stage left and quickly in mcdonalds amd got my chicken fix almost instantly....HURRAY FOR MCDONALDS!!!!

Had a great lunch here and were seated within 20 minutes not bad for a Saturday afternoon. Only down side is that blue light cards aren’t accepted for NHS discount.

This Nando’s has all the flavours and perfect cooking like other Nando’s I have been to; however, their health, safety and hygiene is disgusting. Although some wear caps to keep their hair out, they still wear with down or in a loose ponytail. Men have full beards and have them on display without a net over, they scratch their faces and lick their hands without washing them after and as a person working for a food place myself, I know the rules and regulations and this is disgusting to see, especially for it to be on display like it is, I don’t want to see that when waiting for my food, I shouldn’t have to see that as it shouldn’t be happening. My family had to walk out when queuing as they were disgusted, the first time we ever came it wasn’t like this but over the past few years it has gone down incredibly.

Really good, quality food. I was shocked that a chain restaurant had such quality food. The garlic bread was a really nice paring with the chicken. Will definitely be going back.

This is a lovely restaurant, the grilled chicken is absolutely amazing, but I was a little bit disappointed about the portions. I’ve tried the garlic flavoured peri peri sauce! Unbelievable delicious! The staff is very friendly!
