A great meal and very fast service. The staff were really friendly and very good with children and made sure we understood how to use the app or other at the desk. The food was really quickly and a great standard.

This has got to be the worst meal i have ever had. I received a £18 birthday voucher which i decided to use today. I ordered half chicken and chips and a salad. The chicken was burnt, tasteless and dry . Literrally had to soak it in some peri peri sauce to make it edible. Spent the rest of the evening feeling nauseous due to the bad taste in my mouth of the burnt chicken.

Disgusting ! If i could give this review a zero i would. I received a nandos birthday voucher for £18 which i decided to use today. Can't go wrong with nandos you know what to expect, the food is always nice and the restaurant was clean

Visited yesterday with a friend, great friendly service throughout our stay, the food was delicious & freshly cooked as always, bottomless ice cream was a must as it was a very warm day 😊 we will be back very soon as it’s one of our go to places in the area 😀

Absolutely amazing, the staff were so helpful especially a tall brunette lad who seated us and took us through the menu. The food was brought out promptly and we left with a huge smile from the host! 100% recommend

We came here for my son's birthday. He enjoyed it which is all that matters but I'd say the quality of the food wasn't as good as the previous times we'd been. One meal was forgotten about until we asked and by then it was only just to say warm. We didn't receive enough glasses and again had to ask but on both occasions there was no apology There were 5 adults, two teenagers and two toddlers

Literally everything is out of stock, all the bloomin chicken dishes are out of stock… erm Nando’s I’m not sure if you know but like…. Ya sell chicken and without that well you’ve got nothing to serve 🤣👍 good job 10/10 would chicken again.

Visited Nando’s for a pre theatre meal managed to get a table for six and a space for my mobility scooter food was fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful

I’m used to having to pay for delivery as it’s a convenience thing - it makes sense as it’s paying for the delivery driver etc so I don’t mind. However, I noticed today that Nando’s are just taking the mick with what they charge. They’ve increased the prices in the delivery menu, which are between £2 and £4 more expensive per item! This is an absolute joke, especially when I’m paying £4.99 for delivery and a £2.49 service charge. Please be aware of this when ordering from Nando’s - it’s not worth the price!!

2 x Bouncers on the door of a nandos just staring at everyone eating was definitely the worse nandos experience I've ever had, no free parking.

A really good evening for our family. The staff were really good, made sure our daughter had some colouring to keep her occupied, they were very polite. Food was very good, it is a little pricey for the boneless sharing platter, you get more chicken on the normal platter.

Lovely midday meal with the mrs and son. Child and family freindly.

First time in a Nando's and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tasty chicken burger and chips with a pretty decent glass of the house red. At around 6:30p.m the place was packed, with a nice atmosphere, but it's obviously a pretty well-oiled operation and the staff were lovely.

Burgers were very tasty but garlic bread was soggy and hardly any taste of garlic. Shame we couldn't use a voucher via the app so we had to order at counter

Cannot fault the service at this place, absolutely brilliant! Got delivery and the driver had forgotten my salad, called the restaurant and they not only got it sorted I got some freebies ontop! No hassle, no haggling, super apologetic (which they didn't need to be, it wasn't their fault!) Just utterly brilliant service, and incredibly tasty as always!

we come often and the food is always amazing, everyone is always lovely. there’s a legend who’s always there and always excellent, i’ve never caught her name but on this occasion she helped clean the coke i spilled everywhere, and was really lovely about it. thank you loads to that legend and the rest of the staff

Darlington nandos is the best one by far! Food is always cooked to perfection and the chicken livers are unreal! Everytime me and my husband and our children visit Darlington nandos the service and quality of food is outstanding. We return time after time. Sarah in particular (one of the managers) goes out of her way to make your visit special. She's so friendly and efficient and all the staff are so nice and welcoming. Can't recommend this place enough. Outstanding

Always enjoy Nando’s this was the first time to the Darlington one. Food spot on as always and so was the service. One question why does this Nando’s have bouncers / door men??

Wow… just wow. What a Nando's. After never have going to a Nando's chain before, I was anxious and did not know what to expect. During work travels I decided to conquer this anxiety and go for tea and boy was I surprised. As a sole male I often can be put off chain, busy restaurants but the atmosphere created by the staff was delightful. After being greeted with a smile at the door and seated I instantly felt at ease. Although most staff were young, it was apparent that they were sensible, level headed and very mature. Thoroughly pleased and if given the opportunity, would visit again. Hip Hip Hooray for darlington nandos!

First time I didn’t enjoy Nando’s … There was many mistakes today and felt like a waste of money .. One thing to take away from this today is to never ever go to Nando’s 1 hour before closing time as you don’t get quality food .. So we came here around 21:10 today.. After we got seated we been told that basically neatly half the menu isn’t available only left with very minimal options from menu with only 2 sorts of chicken available.. I’m quite surprised the chef didn’t know the amount of stock they have to order for Monday .. Anyways .. The waitress was lovely , but the food was unfortunately very disappointing.. So the pitta I ordered supposed to have two pieces of chicken I had one big one only .. because the thickness of chicken it was quite tasteless, the pitta we ordered had a very small amount of salad shoved into the back overall it was just tasteless .. The pitta wasn’t toasted on grill a bit so it tasted very old, even my corn on cob wasn’t grilled at all I believe because there is no markings on it from the grill.. Well I can tell you never had my food in Nando’s served in 10 minutes so clearly they want bothered just wast to finish and go home . The chips was quite undercooked mashy.. So overall for over £40 two tasteless pitta plus some side and two drinks wasn’t good at all .. May leave Nando’s food for a little while now..

Place was clean and staff were very friendly. Tried the new loaded chips, were very delicious! Hope it stays on the menu as I would love to have them again!

Went here to find out what the fuss is all about with Nandos... still don't get it. Chicken was bland and dry, garlic bread was burnt, staff apparently just expect you to know you have to go and fetch your own cutlery and drinks. Also felt uncomfortable as two members of staff stood close to the front door chatting away and seemed to be staring at me and my partner the entire time.

Couldn't decide if 2 stars or 3 stars. Very dry (and small) chicken wings, burnt in places and turned burnt side down under a few non-burnt wings. Chef knew what he was doing serving sub-standard. Sides better but fries only warm rather than just-cooked hot.

Consistently nice food. Have been eating there for years, so have had my fair share of meals from here. 2 adult and 2 kids meals all served together hot and ready in 8 minutes. Will happily use this as a regular spot to eat, just a shame it's so expensive for chicken and chips.

The team at Darlington nandos were amazing, my daughter is in a wheel chair and very self conscious, they made her feel really welcome and moved tables round to make sure she was comfortable, Especially Peter who really went out of his way to make it a great visit , great food great people !

Went in to order takeaway. Have tons of allergies. The manager took my order; lemon herb chicken and tenderstem broccoli. Absolutely delicious. Had a slight miscommunication, but there was nothing too much they could do to help. Absolutely lovely people, and THE best nandos in my locality for food quality, unlike other branches... aherm Durham! Thanks Nandos Darlington :D

Still remains expensive chicken and chips, Tuesday night relatively busy, three mains and soft drinks £60 lots of kids in tonight squealing, running around, climbing on furniture type that went completely unchecked which made the 45 minute wait feel like hours! I think with most food establishments these days uber is king, within the restaurant you're invisible. overstretched is an understatement unfortunately. Unlikely to return or recommend.

Food is expected from Nandos. But the Darlington Nandos really have to do something about their tables. They are very sticky. No matter how much you wipe them.

Staff were chatting with each other and did not set up the table or offer a good service I get a casual workplace but that’s once the customers are all sorted and happy. You’d get better service at McDonald’s. The food didn’t come as ordered either.. would not recommend it..

Chicken butterfly is described as "2 chicken breasts joined with crispy skin" but arrived with 1 chicken breast butterflyed with no crispy skin. When queried waiter said but its as big a 2! If I chopped a boiled egg in 2 would that make 2 eggs??? For £13 we were expecting a liitle more since a whole chicken is £15. No hallomi, sweetcorn tasted rotten. Perhaps there's a stocking issue at this branch?? Won't be back to find out.

by freezing water you get ice in many shapes, i am usually a huge fan of ice however i was shocked to see that the ice is CRUSHED INTO MINUSCULE SHARDS OF DEATH. i had a wrap and it was nice and my parter had some chicken and it was nice. We got some chips and garlic bread and it was nice. I needed to wash it down with a nice cool beverage but this experience was TAINTED by the tiny ice. this ice is too small. you cannot drink without putting yourself grave danger. you may say that I could simply not have ice but as i stated above, i am a fan of ice. other than this very small ice it was nice. I have attached a picture of this tiny ice for everyone to see. sort it out nando’s. and also bring back the halloumi and portobello wrap because it is nice.

Been here many times as a driver collecting orders and quite a few times as a dine in customer. Service is great. Staff are great. Always enjoy coming here, and you can tell the management are doing something right as the staff are always happy which helps the ambience even more. Highly recommended 👌

Empty restaurant (3 tables), placing order via a webpage was cumbersome and irksome with account registration failures. Three on our table, we placed two separate orders. On order one, the starter was not delivered until after the main course arrived, they then returned the main course (with a coleslaw salad) to sit under a heater unit ?? While they protested that no starter order for olives had been made - their refuting ended when shown a copy of the order on a phone. Order two = No Sagres beer delivered, had to insist on a drink after 20 minutes. The chicken livers were burnt, mushy and clearly the work of an unskilled / untrained kitchen team member - a truly awful meal. Spoke to the manager who spent all of his time protesting that there were IT issues with orders, and no apology for the terrible service and food. The person out of his depth with customer contact, this restaurant is an example of how to trashy a brand with an empty Restuarant - staffed with a bunch of people who have no idea, skills or conduct in customer service. Nando’s is (was) a good brand with consistent standards across the UK. That has clearly changed, this is one Nando’s you need to avoid at all costs, seriously buy a sandwich from a convenience store and avoid the misery of this hapless crew and business.

Once we realized we had to order from the bar, the experience was really nice. The food arrived fairly quickly and was nice and tasty. The chicken thighs were very tasty and well cooked. Overall a nice experience - pity no draught beer!

Went with my young daughter, not the best experience on this occasion. Food arrived after 20mins, but was luke warm and chicken was dry! Accompanying sides were good the rice was the only hot thing on my plate. Wouldn't have bothered with complaining as young staff on were more interested in their own conversations than your actual customers. Wont be visiting again, typical chain food, my mistake!

Always a pleasure at this Nandos; parking is convenient at Feethams carpark (2 minute walk) and the service is always prompt. Some people comment the price is a little high which I agree with, however I'm willing to pay as the food is delicious. Would recommend.

Best grilled wings in town. Spicy enough.

Food was ok and service wasn’t bad. My problem was at 730pm they were putting chairs on two thirds of the restaurant tables to clean and cramming people in together at the bottom of the restaurant. Two sets of customers refused to be sat where they were told and wanted to be more socially distanced. Yet still more people came in and they filled ALL the tables at the bottom around us. I ended up leaving half my food and we left as it was way too crowded. Very annoying as it was my first time back there since beginning of lockdown and shielding for over a year. I mentioned it to the girl at the till on my way out and she told me it was because they were closing early. Twenty people walk in on a Tuesday night @ 8pm and you close early? No excuse. Was just laziness on staffs part because they didn’t want to be cleaning the floor at the end of their shift.

Nice place, food quality is as expected from Nandos. Staff were friendly and helpful and went beyond what was expected of them. Biggest downside is the price, which has nothing to do with the restaurant and more to do with Nandos as a company. The price keeps increasing for a considerably small portion size.

Ordered food to collect as was staying in the hotel above, Staff really friendly, was approached as soon as I walked through the door, food was packed in front of me and was still hot! And also was some unexpected extra chicken :) definitely one of the better Nando’s I’ve visited.

Recent takeaway was really well sorted by the duty manager. Dead friendly, was served right on time to the minute, large and complex order was 100% accurate. Nice work 👍

Ordered via the QR code on the table and it was though the order hadn't been placed at all. Had to chase for the drinks, then one meal was served more than 10 minutes after the first. No explanation other than "we had to put another chicken on". I mean, you're Nandos... You can't be surprised people order chicken... 🤦🏻. As expected, though, the chicken was good when it arrived.

This isn't our regular Nandos as we're visiting the area on holiday. I have to place an allergy order as I am coeliac. The guy on the till was very helpful. He asked if I was familiar with the allergy folder and assured me that the team would scrape down the grill and use clean utensils. The meal came with an allergy flag in it. Food was quick and tasty. Staff were friendly. We did visit before normal dinner time so the restaurant was relatively quiet.

1 Chicken was overcooked other was Incinerated, waitress asked if everything was okay we mentioned about burnt chicken she just ingored us and walked away.

Food was expensive and arrived cold/barely warm. They brought it new food then waitress accidently took my son's new food and left the old she must have binned it by the time I managed to tell her so had to wait for it to be cooked all over again, chicken still came out barely warm, food poisoning waiting to happen

It's great! Tasty chicken, friendly staff, tasty wine, last time I was there I had some vegetarian impersonation of chicken thing that was legit delish! Can't go wrong with a cheeky Nandos 😆

Everything was really good until my husband caught the attention of a waitress to ask if my son and himself could get a refill. She went to get those for the table. Whilst she went my 11 yr old who had been consuming food voiced she would too like a refill knowing this was now a option. Upon the waitress retention we asked for my daughters refill... we were met with a sarcastic commmnet... "are you sure you don't want any more refills whilst I go so I'm not walking back and fourth" took the shine off the experience for my sons birthday outting a little as they picked up on her poor attitude. If she doesn't understand what waiting tables entitles and doesn't possess a civil tongues then maybe don't work there.

Absolutely hopeless!! Messed up order, when called to sort out, expecting you to jump through hoops to get what they have forgot.. make sure you check order before driver leaves, unwilling to put right. With half of my meal incorrect, £55 order.. Absolute joke won't be using again.

Very disappointing, order completely wrong, items missing, spice choices different from what asked for. Chicken very under cooked, (when asked prior for chicken to be crispy) , had to check inside to check it wasn't pink still. I urge customers to check the quality and items of there order before leaving the restaurant.

Had to wait a bit longer than should have done to collect my food but they were busy and polite about it. The food was awesome, cooked well and definitely filled the void in my stomach. Looking forward to going again but sitting in next time.

I’ve always wanted to try Nando’s as everyone always bangs on about it but honestly it’s so overrated especially for the price , the food wasn’t bad but was a disappointment probs won’t be returning again , if you’ve not tried it but your contemplating going honestly, just give it a miss

Had the two course set meal which was very tasty and the staff were excellent.
