Nando's in Taunton Deane

Usually love a Nando’s however taken aback by man taking our order telling us we’d ordered too many chips 😵‍💫. Nobody needs the chip police when they go out to pay for food - it’s up to us what we order. Repeating yourself a few times did not help the situation. We don’t want spicy rice. We don’t want broccoli. We want a big plate of chicken and chips. That is what we ordered. Normally we enjoy it here much more and all the staff give excellent service.

If you love the perfect home cooked meal feeling, Nando's is the place for that exceptional experience. Their chicken bursts with flavour till the last bite.

The food was ok, no ice tea. Sharers not available. The lift was not working so I had to wait at the door with the first floor completely free. Did not meet my expectations.

They try to make you order using the app. If you want to pay at the till they make you wait 10 minutes before serving you. The staff just walk around ignoring you like your not there.

Waiting 30mins for a table only to find out they had nothing available on the children’s menu and most of the main menu was not available due to chicken shortage!!! Embarrassing

I ordered a takeaway and received burnt food, the chicken was overcooked, the chips were way too salty and hard. I had to throw my food away! I feel sooo annoyed as I hate wasting money and food! I’m not happy about how I was treated. I’ve requested a refund from nandos as I’m so disappointed!

We had a bad situation with our Daughter who ended up needing a safe location to wait for us to pick her up, We phoned Nandos as I could see she was near to them on Apple tracker, Danni Hodge a staff member went outside and kindly took care of her until we could reach her, Danni Hodge went above and beyond her role and kept our Daughter safe in a bad situation! I can't thank her enough she deserves recognition by her Manager and area team for going above and beyond her role!

Dan the man speaks for himself. Wow what an experience, we visited during the JLS show day. I expect they were busier than usual and coped brilliantly. Dan the manager was exceptional, my usual wasn’t available due to an ingredient out of stock, he went above and beyond to create me something vegetarian that I wanted. There was no peri barbecue due to being a small branch but was able to provide an alternative for us. Thank you for making the beginning of our day a one to remember. Dan is a fantastic asset to the Nando’s team.

Went to nandos never going again tiny portions for the price I ordered the mac and cheese and it just tasted like the canned stuff you get from the supermarket

First experience live this place

I dropped my wife and grandson off whilst I had business in town. Afterwards I joined them at Nandos. I fell over when they said it had cost them £40 for 2 meals (with 1 starter). To cool down I went to the bar and asked for a cider. I was told I had to order a meal for an accompanying drink. I told the sour faced manager that my wife and grandson were eating (and I had paid the bill). He was adamant that I had to order a meal in order to have a drink. Not very nice about it either. When I told my wife about this stupidity she said give me some money and I will get a drink. I gave her a fiver and she went to order a drink. Sourpuss made her state that the drink was for her and demanded that she had to drink it. To top our dissatisfaction off, the chips were only warm and quickly cooled to cold. We won't be going to Nandos ever again and nor will my family. I will advise friends, colleagues and acquaintances of my experience and advise against Nandos.

Comparing to other Nandos it is really disappointing 😕

We tried ordering on the app but couldn't get it to work asked our server who couldn't see what we were doing wrong either, so we used the till. We enjoyed our food will be back again soon

Really quiet! The food was exactly as expected but the best bit was the servers. They were really relaxed and happy, enjoying theirnwirknand making everyone feel like royalty

Disappointingly weak soft drinks, even after they were checked and some of the chicken was a little over cooked compared to previous visits. Might be an off day but review updated to reflect that.

My sister and I visited Nandos today 22 February to use the facilities. The Manageress was very lovely and helpful while we were there. I would recommend the Taunton branch wholeheartedly.

Had barely a teaspoon of either left out the fridge way too long or past it's sell by date coleslaw cabbage was brown and it was a tiny bit of Corey in a pitta bread with less than a quarter of a piece of chicken in. Chips were overcooked but soggy and cold. Servers were grumpy and had a can't be bothered or flustered attitude it was busy when we visited at 7pm on a Wednesday evening but they had several deliveries so we're focusing on them and not customers. We waited a hour and 5 mins to eat, we only ate the cold rubbish food because we'd sat there so long and we're starving although we left the teaspoon of manky coleslaw and the rubbery pitta bread that even the knife wouldn't cut. Also lost a filling trying to chew it When asked how our meal was we told them and they just said sorry about that and walked off.

We've been here a few times with family and the service we have got each time has been brilliant. Very friendly staff and good food. What more could anyone want.

The Nando’s experience is getting tired. Food generally OK, my chicken was perfectly cooked, though spent too much time under the heat lamps before coming out. I’m not a big fan of the order yourself online process, I prefer to have a member of staff take my order and help create an atmosphere. Customer experience and restaurant ambiance very underwhelming.

So as I walked in I was greeted by a manager named LEO he was very charming and absolutely lovely, he informed me what they didn’t have and was absolutely class, also KIRSTY the supervisor was very class, she was very polite and welcoming these 2 are absolutely the pinnacle of service with a smile they’re always gleaming cheek to cheek with a smile

Today I visited nandos, the manager LEO was very amazing, super helpful and very lovely to speak to and a very friendly persona, the supervisor KIRSTY was equally as lovely and very sweet they where all really nice and absolutely amazing very great members of staff and are an asset to the company, these help promote nandos ethos and are the best people I could ask for to be here when I was eating my meal as a nandos regular!!!

I am fuming when I paid they charged me 5 pounds tax and nobody else had to and haven’t ever before and when my food came it was cold and garlic bread was burnt wasn’t impressed never coming again

This was a fantastic restaurant for dinner, with everything kept up to date at the counter! Menus are readily available at tables, staff were friendly and the refillable drinks machine is superb. I started with truly cheesy Halloumi Sticks had five tangy, piping hot Chicken Wings with freshly Peri-Peri seasoned chips and corn on the cob, sitting at comfortable seating with vibes brought from the designs around the restaurant!

Just ordered a beanie pitta this evening for takeaway, got home and it's missing the slaw!! A bean patty in pitta bread is fairly dry without it. Not being funny but it's expensive enough anyway, to then find it doesn't even include what it's supposed to!

Great place. Highly recommend the fino pitta, very tasty. Not that big so having it with one or two sides is a good idea - spiced grains & butternut squash was lovely. Mango ice cream (sorbet) also delicious. Staff were polite and friendly, in particular Maria. It was easy to order using the app - download in advance for an efficient service.

Nando's was a delightful dining experience! The food was bursting with flavour, thanks to their new garlic bbq sauce, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Nice nandos here in Taunton prefer the one in Weston-Super-Mare but still it's nice you should go here if you live in the town of Taunton.

We come here often and it’s always fab food and friendly service - the waiting team are great. No complaints at all, food was delicious :-)

Food was fresh and hot, portions smaller than they used to be. Restaurant lacked atmosphere and was cold but it's Nando's. It does what it said on the tin.

We went here as a treat to not have to do any cooking and I've been losing weight so I thought I could eat healthier at a chicken place. I really fancied the salad bowl with plant based chicken but this was out of stock. I went with the pita and although was filled well with chicken there was nothing much else in the pita and for the calories it was this was just a bit disappointing. I probably won't be retuning while trying to stay healthy.

Nando's it's always a safe bet if you want a good meal when out and about but this day it was a disappointment. The garlic bread was hard, lukewarm and no sight of melting butter. The chips were reheated we could clearly see they weren't fresh. When you go in at 4pm you expect fresh food because there was only 2 costumers inside I didn't expect to have reheated food because its easy to taste the difference . And plus seeing the manager vaping inside the restaurant just put us off of coming back.

Who doesn't love nandos. Food was lovely,staff were friendly,the restaurant is well kept,clean and tidy. The wait time for our food wasn't very long. Toilets is upstairs but they have a lift (slow but it does eventually get there lol)

When it's about chicken 🐔 😋 this is a good place to try grilled chicken wings with different spices, you have from mild to extra hot 🔥 🥵 sauce....really good, you can have the sauce on the wings or on the side. They have a good menu you can choose from, i like the wings 🥵🔥😋. Really friendly staff, very helpful, definitely recommended and will be back soon for their wings

Nando's is an absolute gem! The food is consistently delicious, and the peri-peri sauces add that perfect kick. Went for dinner today with my partner. When the food arrived as lovely as it looked, it was very cold. The waiter took the food and came back swiftly with fresh, hot food! Very impressed and everything else was faultless. Staff was lovely even after my speaking and made sure we was happy.

Amazing service Came in straight from work at the hospital and they were so accommodating and the discount applied was more than generous. Can’t thank the staff and manager on shift enough for the service I received.

It's generally not a bad place especially if all the foods on their menu is available. The chicken tastes good, the burgers especially the wrapped ones are nice but the service wasn't really top notch. The atmosphere is quite lively with the music 🎶. In the evening time around 8pm, most of the food is finished and they do not do reservation. If you want to enjoy every pound, go earlier.

Hadn’t been to Nando’s for years. Went along with low expectations but very pleasantly surprised. Very tasty food, great service, good value for money.

Amazing place, James I believe his name was, wow, top people skills with his team, I listened to him talking to his staff, kudos my friend! Definitely a people person. He spotted my wife's food was not up to standard and literally a fresh piece of food was brought over pretty much instantly. I couldn't have been happier today purely based on James and his teams food standard work culture and general feel of the place. I'll definitely be back!

We’ve been here a couple of times now and each time we have been given a friendly welcome and all the staff have always been cheerful. The service is quick and efficient and the food is always moist and tasty and presented well. The decor and the atmosphere are vibrant. However, a couple of times the tables looked as though they hadn’t been properly cleaned, but overall the place is clean and tidy. I particularly like the facility provided for customers to wash their hands something other venues could well do with putting in place.
