Nando's in Medway

The floor was disgraceful full of dirt . stains from drink and crumbs . And we stuck to it when we walked. Have used this venue several times and never seen it so dirty. Ni toilet roll in toilet. Very dissapointed.

Food was nice but was understaffed . Fair play for the staff member that was only one on the till serving despite the wait in the line was a little long . However food was nice place was tidy it just needs improvements such as two people on till at all times get line down faster.

Nando's Hempstead Valley, Gillingham, Kent Located in the middle of a huge, free car park, this establishment is easily accessible especially to drivers. It’s also served by local buses including 007, 113, 130, 132, 659 to the best of my knowledge.  Although at busy times you may have to queue for a table the wait is not too long. Most of the time there is no waiting.  Staff are very pleasant, helpful, welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. The food is tasty with a variety of dressings and sauces available to suit all tastes.  I particularly recommend their Mediterranean salad.  They still use their loyalty card and give discounts to NHS workers. They are allergy conscious and there is disabled access. They cater for children too. They also have a seating area outside for when the weather is conducive. All in all a pleasant establishment to visit.

Lovely meal, very tasty and fresh. Easy to order food, very helpful staff on the till. There was a little mix up with one meal and it was rectified immediately. Service from I think Rick and the manager was quick, smooth and professional. Value for money. Recommend to all.

When we arrived, admittedly without booking, we were told there was a 30-minute wait and to come back. This despite the restaurant being half-empty. When we returned, we were shown to a table by a waitress who told us to order using the QR code on the menu holder. None of the items shown in the menu appeared on the website the QR code took me to, so I took our order to the till. The woman at the counter could not have shown less interest but did take my order. When I asked if it was possible to get a lemonade and lime, she laughed before telling me I would have to select whatever was available at the drink dispenser. So, I had to go and place the order, organise our own drinks, get our cutlery and condiments. The food took 45 minutes to arrive and there seemed no evidence of urgency. It was at least hot and tasty. Music was very loud, so speaking to each other was a challenge. Not a place to go if you want a quiet meal. I realise that £60 may not seem a huge amount for a meal for three people. For that price, however, I would at least have expected someone to have taken our orders. The only time we saw anyone was when a member of staff came to take the tabletop chicken marker to prove they'd asked if everything was all right with the food. I'll not be back.

Came here with my daughter, son and daughter-in-law. I've never been to any similar place and was ready to dislike it, but actually I did love it. Very family-friendly and the atmosphere is jolly and uplifting. We had toasted panini and that kind of thing which was really very good. Staff are friendly and jolly. Will go there again!

I visited with 2 friends and we all loved our food. Claudia was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely friendly staff , great food , we will definitely come again. Thank you x

We like to order online at the table but the ‘Dare to share’ for the starters was not available online (we tried on 2 different phones) so we had to order at the counter. When I told them at the counter about it they said it was on there. By the time I got back to the table it was. Funny that! Also whilst at the counter I was told that there was only one chicken left! A whole Nando’s with only one chicken! Worst part of the experience was the bottomless soda, however. The machine ran out of gas so we were given a can. When we asked for another we were refused. We pointed out that we had paid for a bottomless soda and it was hardly our fault that the machine had not been maintained properly. Nevertheless the waitress refused and offered us a glass of water instead. We had to complain to the manager to get our money back. This restaurant is poorly run and is letting down the brand as a whole.

Good food for price. Very noisy at time we went children mainly. Waitress lovely and helpful. Some items on menu were unavailable.

First impression when we walked in was disorganised and scruffy. The poor lad at the door was under pressure trying his best to accommodate the constant in and outs of dinners, pick ups and delivery drivers, all in a very confined space. When he asked , nicely, other staff members to clear tables to help him sit dinners down, one just ignored him and another said “ I am doing something else, then just wandered around. The manger was as scruffy as the restaurant and did nothing other than walk around and once took a delivery bag to the front. After trying the app , then queuing up for 12 minutes we walked out

Don't waste your time new ordering system is useless. Virtual que ??? Then scan the qr code which doesn't work. Then try and order with poor WiFi. Just after you have entered your order you then have to register and start all over again. All this while 3 members of staff just stand around doing nothing. The world has gone mad, I'm all for new technology if it works. Sacked it off and just walked out .

The service was great. Very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Normally I would find a burger alone sufficient,however the burger was tiny. I tried the imitation burger which I have to say does not imitate chicken in anyway, shape ,form or taste and to compound matters it was cold. I was asked by the staff if everything was ok so I cannot fault them ,however I was out with a friend and we were celebrating good news so I did not want to blight our celebration.

Would give 0 if it allowed!! Waited in queue to be told to scan qr code to virtually queue done that myself and family were taken to a table to then be told they had no kids meals, so we left as they could clearly see we had 3 children with us! Sorted kids and ordered a takeaway for them to take my order take my money then email me telling me the order was cancelled and they would refund in a couple of days!! Diabolical service!!

I'd leave 0 points if I could. I'm sitting at Nandos, we've been trying to order for 45 minutes. 1st you need to scan QR to come in, wait 30 minutes. They did not warm us we had to order food through qr code again , another 30 mins wasted, who remembers their passwords? Then pay online, why can't I just scan my card.Had to reset password, no childrens menu. Utterly ridiculous system. Ordered bottomless drink, still waiting for our glasses.

Avoid , just stood for an hour to be told need to use virtual queue then told don’t bother as we are closed , rude inexperienced staff

First time for both my hubby & myself to a Nando’s and would definitely return. The staff were so helpful with all the new restrictions in place due to COVID but we felt totally safe & very much enjoyed our lunch. Well done 👍

Just had the worst experience since the return of Nandos after Lockdown . You would think that this restaurant would want to impress us back to eating tasty chicken, well no ... think again .. and what’s more check you’re food before you leave with the takeaway service ... I wish I had . Ordered the thighs which I had at Aylesford sometime ago which was delicious. Had the same order at Hempstead Valley and if you can kind of imagine a squashed and mangled dirty , burnt tasteless scraggy piece of something , then times it by 4 ... that is what I got ... chewing it was as painful experience as looking at it . I would urge you to check the takeaway before you leave with it , so you have some idea with what you are buying . I wish I had taken a photo ....

Enjoyed a lovely evening with our grandkids at this fun location.food prompt and good. Happy to supply doggie bags for leftover food. Enjoyed by the kids on our return home.

Although classed as fast food, the chicken was tender and tasty with a range of good side orders. the food and drink were reasonably priced and will definitely come back for a quick meal.

I reviewed this Nando's a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The food remains good, as does the staff and service. However, the restaurant premises often looks messy and tired. It seems always to be busy and this appears to have led to wear and tear, and insufficient cleaning/tidying.

Nando's is always a good choice for a quick meal and this one isnt any different. Popped in on a spur of the moment thing and we both enjoyed the meal. We did get a little confused about ordering and thought they were taking orders at the table so sat around for a while waiting - then ordered at the counter. The food was fast and good, service however seemed to be more interested in chatting to each other than the customers.

I've avoided nandos for some time due to seeing queues there, and in Bluewater too, but yesterday we decided to give it a try. It seems to be marketed as some sort of Portuguese restaurant (spent a lot of time in Portugal and nothing is like this there), but actually comes across as more of a terrible Mexican restaurant (think Chiquitos) with music louder than a restaurant needs and more orange than any room needs. The service was good. It should be as half of it is done yourself. Which I find strange considering the popularity of the place. But when staff needed to be attentive they were good and for that I can't complain. The menu is really small and not very interesting. Chicken in bread, or with chips, or rice, disguised by various sauces or heats as choices. The food came out, and it was really dull. The chips simply simply the standard of home chips, the chicken cooked well but nothing to write home about. No surprises and nothing special. The mango cooler was served room temperature which was ironic. Can't remember a less interesting meal at a less interesting restaurant. I left less hungry than when I arrived. That was a bonus.

Lovely meal Nice chicken with rice & coleslaw. Parking in free so you can shop first & have a leisurely meal with out worrying about the greedy council taking there share of you well earned money paying car park fees

This Nando’s in Hempstead Valley is the worst Nando’s ever! It’s my local one and it annoys me so much that it has to be the worst I’ve ever encountered. I keep giving it a try in the hope it will get better but then instantly regret that we didn’t go to Chatham dockside or bluewater. We always chose the same and the difference in the different restaurants is just incredible. We have butterfly chicken, at Hempstead valley they should rename in butterfly pigeon, why is the butterfly chicken here always so small and dry as old boots. I have brought it to the attention of the staff twice in the last couple of years, once I just got a sorry and nothing, I watched the member of staff tell a senior member my complaint and she shrugged her shoulders, another time I did get better treatment from a previous manager, who gave me a voucher to try another time. I just want them to give me a meal first time round worth paying £11 for, if I wanted dry chicken, smash potato out of a packet then microwaved, I could stay at home and let my husband cook! Refillable drinks is a must to get enough moisture to wash the damn chicken down!

I like Nando's for a fairly quick meal, as you go up to the counter to order and pay, so at the end of the meal you don't have to hang about waiting for the server to come over to give you the bill.

I came here on 10th October 2018 (My birthday) with my bestie and her children.

Pleasant visit and meal. Couple of platters with rice and fries on the side. Friendly staff. Was a bit unsure whère to wait for service, and no one on front of house, still we sat ourselves down and managed to order. Food came out quick and was very good, not dry and really juicy. All areas clean and tidy. Just sort out where the queue begins please.

I usually love Nandos but on This visit wasn’t very good Which we were really disappointed with We were sat outside and were plagued by wasps .. they had wasps again last year too .. it’s a shame they haven’t got rid of them

Is quietexpensive for what it is? Wasn't that busy but quiet slow service there. Food tasted okay did say to bring the kids out and not to wait for the adult meals unfortunately they didn't do this so kids food sat under the lights u until I approached them

Went for the first time with friends and both of us had buggies and were accommodated.

Like many people, immediately after Christmas, we didn't feel like cooking a meal from scratch. We also wanted to eat reasonably healthily, so opted for Nando take away meal.

Our party of five included my mum of 82 and my sister who in February this year had a stroke at an early age and walks with a stick . So we rang the restrauant to book a table for five ,we explained our situation and was told there was a table available so hurry down as the manager would not hold it for us , which we did i ran in to see if the table was still available which it was but the fire alarm was going & the manager said it was under control ,our party then struggled in from the car park . Having sat down i went to the counter to order drinks which the manager then decided we could not order drinks unless we were already eating and we could not order food until the alarm situation was sorted, which he could not say how long this could take possibly up to 45 minutes .after complaining on deaf ears i said i would complain to head office , which with great delight and a smug look he told me that to head office would be sent to him anyway. He obviously does not have friends or family that need assistance. Rick

I am reviewing this as a couple , the staff were amazing , and super fast , I let my wife order for us, and she loved the food , and it did taste nice ,but it was just a bit too spicy for me even tho it did say medium,

Went as a couple with two other friends for evening dinner. Our friends were Vegan, and we are Vegetarian. The staff were friendly, but that was the only good thing about our visit.

We were welcomed by Emily F and served at the counter by Lindsay. Both of who could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We had a sharing platter of hot well done boneless chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. Today there were a lot of young children which made it very noisy. The toilets were also very wet on the floor with a lot of toilet roll on the floor but this I am sure we're the children. Emily has all the makings of a great manager caring pleasant and always on the look out for any work that needs doing. Overall a lovely meal and ecperience

I love the nandos concept as its un-fussy, easy and they do one thing and do it really well.

Ordered on line and collected at time specified, ready and waiting with polite server, although initial staff member at door could do with a refresher lesson in customer service.

Llegamos a las 20:50 y pedimos comida, 20 minutos más tarde llegó, tomó un bocado en sunset burger y se quemó. Llevé al personal en el cajas como no había servidores en el suelo. Me dijeron uno nuevo sería hecho para mí. Cinco minutos más tarde un gerente vino y dijo que sería de cinco minutos. Bien, 25 minutos más tarde todavía estaba esperando! !

Realmente disfruté de mi comida, unas pocas opciones quería probar todos ellos. Tuve hummus con llovizna piri piri y pita, pita vegetal y luego dulce patatas grandes que me encantó y pan de ajo. Came for a family meal. Service was fast as ever, food arrives quickly. Staff friendly. Only downside today was part of our order was forgotten so a bit of a wait for that. But otherwise all good.

Love their salads! And the chicken wing roulette is just delicious (even the really hot one, should you be the one to get it). Service with a smile and always friendly.

Mis amigos y yo visitamos recientemente esta rama y fue ocupado como la mayoría de - nuestra espera Nando mesa era 45 minutos como un grupo anterior habían tirado la comida por todas partes. Cuando finalmente nos dieron una mesa que parecía el personal estaban más interesados en hablar de los pedidos. 15 personas en cola para poner su orden y sólo una factura. Si te gusta el pollo en su suerte. Si quieres conseguir su propia salsa, servilletas, cubiertos, bebidas y postres, entonces estás de suerte de nuevo! Tenía los muslos deshuesados, que tiene un gran hueso. Reservamos una mesa para 16 de nosotros y poner en una tabla que equipado 12. Aparte de eso, la comida estaba bien, las patatas fritas piri piri (estaba deseando) eran incomibles ya había más sal de patatas. Suena como soy gemido, pero no es un lugar al que volvería. Solo mi opinión.

He tenido una mala experiencia anterior con este es muy ya que tenían acabaron de pollo. Pedir comida online como pensé que iba a ser una experiencia más fácil, llegamos en tiempo muerto. La comida estaba sentado en el lado y lo pudimos ver, no reciben comida por 15 minutos, luego de una gran bebida para llevar, pero no tenían los párpados que me dijeron después que ya había pagado y llenos. Después nos ofrecieron a verter en dos vasos más pequeños. Desastre de un restaurante absoluta.

As you expect from a Nandos very good food lots of flavour, It can get very busy and noisey but most Nandos are.

Even when busy the staff seem to cope well. The food is always hot and you don't have to wait for ages. Reliable menu.

food options were good and order was taken quickly, staff were friendly and happy to make changes and amendments to food which came out correctly. downside was that we sat and watched out food sitting on the sill for a good 10 minutes before it was brought over to us!

I would like to say thank u to all the staff at nandos at hemstead valley shopping centre, my grandsons 18th birthday and 10 of us went for a meal, we had to wait 20 mins but it was worth the wait, my order got confused but not only did they put it right the gave me extra free of charge, the staff are helpful, friendly, the food is good and it's nice to have music in the background the toilets are amazing the whole place is clean can't praise enough thank u we will be back xx

Everybody who's been to nandos has borrowed the chicken on a stick they put on your table , but you won't get away with it here they must buy them themselves as you guard them with there life lol

Fuimos a son extraordinarias el viernes por la noche. Estaba muy lleno, pero no tuvimos que esperar demasiado tiempo para una mesa.

Buena selección de restaurantes recientemente inaugurados al lado del centro comercial, con un montón de parking gratuito (upto_nfp 6 horas). Elegimos Nando y sirvieron bastante rápido (estaba a mediodía becore). Tuvimos algunos frutos secos y aceitunas para picar antes nuestras comidas principales llegamos. He intentado algo nuevo para mí, la ensalada césar con pollo. No parece enorme, pero fue suficiente. Un nuevo restaurante y el personal parecía fresco.

Similar view to others on site this chain is s good go to place for an affordable family meal simply cooked tasty snd usually quickly served although as this is new to chain feel they have few inexperienced staff that need further training

Got shown to a table in the window quickly. Went up and ordered our meal, which arrived promptly. The food was hot and exactly what we had ordered.

Yes it is like every other Nandos in the country. However, they are very well organised and incredibly thorough when looking after diners with food allergies. Well done!

Didn't have high expectations of this monster chain but was pleasantly surprised. More comfortable, tasty and interesting than fast-food establishments. Still a limited dining experience but good for a simple meal out. Staff pleasant but prone to mistakes.

Phoned up to book a table for 4 people was greeted on the phone buy a very Only Way Is Essex voice was quick to get me off the phone I asked if I could book a table in the evening when I said it was for 4 people ok I understand we only take bookings of 8 people up but when was told they do get very busy and you could be waiting for up to 20 minutes maybe 45 minutes I said the reason I was booking was because I'm on two sticks and disabled to this I was greeted with sorry that is all when I said I would be able to stand for that long in the hallway I was told nothing we can do so on the 1st call not very helpful staff obviously that's not all staff just this one member of staff that was on the phone...so Nando's yes is more of a teenager getaway and also this member of staff must have been a teenager as well could have been more understanding.

You would expect all nandos to be almost the same and I've been to quite a few , but this one falls far short of what's expected

We went to Nandos with my in laws and our 2 yr old and it couldn't have been a better experience, we were met at the door by very helpful staff and shown to a table which had enough space for a high chair and a buggy, even before we got to the table there were crayons and a children's menu waiting for us, the service was fast, food was yummy and the eating areas were clean, couldn't of been better

As always, perfect Nando's food. Great service (well apart from forgetting my mayonnaise!) Very clean. It is a brand new restaurant and many places let themselves down by not keeping up with the maintenance so fingers crossed, this stays shiny and new.

Soy un profesor de una escuela local y visitamos el restaurante la semana pasada, con un grupo de 11 6° Frommers. Nos recibieron cortésmente, dado los menús y sentado bastante rápidamente. El restaurante es luminoso, colorido y cuenta con un mobiliario y accesorios que coincida con el tema portuguesa del restaurante. En general tiene un ambiente relajado, fresco y moderno ambiente y está muy limpio. Como los alumnos estaban pidiendo y pagar individualmente para sus comidas, esto llevó bastante tiempo, pero el personal era alegre, amable y acogedor. La comida llegó rápidamente, con camareros revisar que todo estaba bien, una vez en mucho tiempo. Tuve pollo en pan pitta con maíz en el lado cob. El pollo estaba bien preparado y especiado tal como se había solicitado, y la cob era fresco, daba a la parrilla y fue presentada bien. La única crítica que tuvimos fue que tuve que pedir mantequilla ir con mi maíz en el olote. Los alumnos disfrutaron de su comida y nos encantó el hecho de poder rellenar sus bebidas siempre que quisieran sin ningún coste adicional. Creo que las comidas ofrecen una excelente relación calidad-precio. Los alumnos me encantó su experiencia y comer fuera sin duda volveré a esta sucursal de Nando's. El único pequeño inconveniente para nosotros como un grupo fue el hecho de que el aparcamiento por minibuses era inexistente. Un miembro del personal tenían que dejarnos y conduzca por hasta que encontró un espacio adecuado. Nando es en sí, aunque fue genial!

Vine aquí como un regalo para mi hijo y no dissappear. La comida llegó pronto después que pedimos y el personal era amable. Nos pareció una buena relación calidad-precio con refrescos incluidos en la cena para 2, que era £19,99 , menú infantil también era estupenda y en total fue menos de £30 para nosotros tres. Sin duda alguna volveremos.

Lovely new restaurant, nicely decorate and much more spacious and less cramped than other Nando's. I really enjoyed my food and the staff were very attentive.

Llevé a mis dos nietos a Dockside Nando es un capricho durante su estancia conmigo. A nuestra llegada nos informaron de que había una mesa que necesitaba liquidación nos agradeció el chico que nos atendió. La mesa estaba debidamente limpiada con los restos de los anteriores ocupantes Landing en las sillas. Hicieron ningún esfuerzo para limpiar esto hasta que yo pregunté si alguien puede borrar las sillas. nos sentamos y nos dieron la mesa, era que wet teníamos que ir servilletas para limpiar sus seco para poder leer el menú. En pedir la comida me fui al mostrador y había un empleado de Nando parado por el hasta que estaba a punto de darle mi pedido cuando me dijeron que esperar un minuto ya estaba ocupado. La comida llega parecía que la habían puesto en el plato.

Desde su apertura fue sólo mi segundo viaje a Nando, y por desgracia fue muy decepcionante.

Es un Nando, así que no hay mucho más que decir sobre la comida realmente. Unas patatas fritas, buen pollo y todo bien hecha con mucha variedad en el menú.

Esta sucursal sólo recientemente inaugurado, y creo que tiene un largo camino por recorrer.
