Stay well away from the Sunday roasts

A bar-style restaurant (you order at the bar), offering Thai/Asian cuisine, well seasoned and tasty. Delicious appetizers (gyoza, bao tofu) and interesting main courses, including Tom Yum rice with shrimps or green curry. The problem here is the details. First of all, SERVICE. The men at the bar have absolutely no knowledge of the menu, ingredients, or whether a given dish is spicy or not. It's a bad idea to order when someone mistakes your order several times and you don't know whether the green curry is spicy or not (because we know that it can be very spicy in Thailand). Secondly, lack of attention to detail. We ordered several main courses, forgetting the rice. The menu says that it is not available, but no one from the staff suggested that we should order it. Thirdly - if you want to season the dish yourself - e.g. with sriracha, chili or soy sauce, etc. - forget it. There is absolutely nothing in the restaurant. It's a pity, because there is potential.

Lovely food. But like many things these days people just expect to pay ridiculous prices for food. Usually I take a picture. I didn’t have my phone on me. Order the crispy pork with chilies salt and pepper. We ordered a few dishes. Pork. Pork belly is not exactly the most expensive ingredient. But to be charged £9 for a saucer of pork belly that had cut into tiny strips and strewn on the plate with half a spring onion cut into chunks. Let’s be clear this was a saucer not a bowl. Small but with not enough pork, if lined up next to each other to cover half the plate. The spicy rice was a tiny small bowl for over a fiver. The food was tasty thankfully and at least authentic unlike Kemp Thai. But really as your response says. It’s about quality. Unless you’re saying your pork belly is organic free range for those prices. I can’t see the justification for that price.

Love sidewinder already and came across the Namo October best deal. Incredible food at amazing value!!! Had the.spring rolls, tom yum fries (bloody delicious) and the most incredible vegan fried chicken ive ever had! Pal had a pork curry and the lovely chef said they could make it less spicy for her. She said it was delicious and such a generous portion!!! I had the vegan red curry, also super tasty. Red Curry can often be too sweet but this was far from it. Lovely food & honestly the chef and waiting staff were delightful, I will be back and will tell everyone!

I'm a big fan of NAMO EATS and have eaten at the Eagle many times (and take aways), so as soon as I found out they'd opened at The Sidewinder pub at the top of St. James Street, I just had to give it a try. The food was absolutely delicious ! The service was pleasant & attentive, so we were very happy. If you like Thai food, you're in for a treat. This place is not to be missed.

Delicious and savory food with an adorable staff! Reminds you of Thailand

Lovely place, reasonably priced, great food and service I'd expect from somewhere that costs twice as much. An example being the waitress replacing our water literally the second it ran out which really speaks to the attentiveness of the staff. I had the pork belly(quite spicy)[picture] and egg fried rice both of which were very nice. Would comfortably recommend.

Had a really Fab dinner at this newly opened Thai. Great to find a Thai restaurant serving Delicious plates with clear, clean flavours. Highly recommend and miles better than your regular Thai

Some of the best Thai food I've had in Brighton, I got the Massaman and it was all cooked perfectly. The spicy basil chicken and roti were also awesome. As well as the food being great, the staff were friendly and the space is pretty. 10/10

Love the 🌽 fritters!! Seasoning and texture all spot on. The red curry starter: I'd suggest placing curry in a smaller bowl. The volume of curry sauce would look more generous:)

Excellent food and the staff were amazing.It is Thai food with a clever twisted.Unlike any other classic Thai restaurant you ever had.Highly recommended.

The food at both of names locations are always exceptional. As a Thai person this food is about as close to home for me as possible, in this corner of the world. As a chef this place never disappoints with flavour balance and not holding back in the spice (which is key). I couldn’t recommend this place anymore than I already. But I would say if you haven’t had it already and live close by, you’re missing out by not visiting them.

Really, really, good. Delicious. Yum. We ordered at the bar and collected the food to take away, others were seated at tables in the pub eating. Modern Thai.
