Namji in Milton Keynes

Came here with a large group. Restaurant was really accommodating to us, they also advised on ingredients for an intolerence and the spice level was adjusted for each person. Service was great, and the food went down really well with everyone.

Although I had a typo for my order which gave my neighbours house number, the driver gave my order to my neighbours and drove away. My neighbour had to call me to tell me my order was here. I also wrote on the delivery notes that they need to call me as I’m in flats and so won’t know which place is mine. Quite bad of the driver as they didn’t take my code and so this shouldn’t have happened. Food was nice though but everything had a spice level, even a korma

Good good food, worst service ever. Got kicked out at 9:30, 30 min before they closed!!!!! My food was still in my mouth, how rude is that? Got indigestion now.. can't sleep. It's 2.18am as I write this... my tummy hurts. Also, no tap water? Trying to get the most money out of us.

The food was amazing as always, the best biryani in Milton Keynes.

I just paid £9 for two lamb samosas as a takeaway in my local here. No garnish just in a tray. Never going to make that mistake again. Very ordinary small samosa by the way. Hugely disappointed in the costs of this takeaway / restaurant. I goto the namji at acorn house and the restaurant there sells somosqs at half the price with a garnish. Anyway it's put me off going to this company for food. Life is hard enough without feeling like your getting ripped off

We are regulars at Namji Xscape in Milton Keynes, but last night decided to try the store in Wolverton. It did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted, invited in and seated. The store is allot smaller than the one in Xscape, which lends itself to a more cozy and intimate feel. We arrived and ate early (17:30) our whole time there we were the only table which made for a pleasurable experience. The service was tentative and on point! Nothing was too much to offer, even my request for a large bowl of Mango Chutney (which is heavens nectar) was met! The food was AMAZING, full of flavour, rich and hearty JUST the way a good curry should be! We will definitely visit this store more often!

I've dined in and ordered take away from Namji on multiple occasions and the food here is exceptional. The veggie and vegan options offered are wide ranging, interesting and delicious (try the Dudi Kofta - it's incredible) and my partner always opts for a lamb dish as the meat is always cooked to tender perfection. Some Indian restaurants drown their food in oil, not Namji, they create authentic home style Punjabi dishes. My first choice for dinner (and the breakfast at the cafe in CMK is pretty tasty too!)

Went here last night for a curry. Truly amazing. Very traditional and full of flavours. Three of us went and ordered different curries from the menu. We each tried each other's. All of them were absolutely scrumptious. So glad we found this gem of a hideaway. Try this place. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Homemade lemonade was amazing. No fault with the food, can’t wait to go back for more. It was an amazing Valentines Day dinner. Highly recommend

The food was out of this world. I don’t know if it was because we were the only two in the restaurant but the service and atmosphere could have been better. I did not have it acknowledged that it was a birthday booking and upon entering just got a ‘we didn’t think you’d come because our system has been playing up’ instead of even just a hello. We did not really have privacy - the lady serving kept commenting on our conversation from all the way across the restaurant by the till, which is fine a few times… but we felt too under the spotlight! The worst was when my partner tried to tip her as part of the bill at the end - she got clearly frustrated and said there’s no point as it doesn’t go anywhere. It was the most confusing and awkward situation with us just paying in silence after that. It’s concerning if the owners do not give their staff the tips, but also please don’t take that out on your customers. Not on my birthday! We won’t be back. We are excited to try the Xscape one. Update: it’s not letting me reply to your comment but of course - we came on 30 December at about 8:30pm. If you pass on your email I can forward our original booking confirmation. Had dinner last night. Very extensive menu, you can ask for customisations and our whole group enjoyed the meal. Excellent value as well

Visit tonight (30th December 2023) with my niece and baby nephew, good choice of food if you have food allergies, I had the lamb that just melted in my mouth, full of flavour. Staff friendly and very accommodating, compliments to the chef, highly recommend and shall visit again very soon 😊

A change from the traditional turkey roast. Decided to go for a curry and chose Namji for our destination because they were the only ones who contacted me back quickly when trying to make a reservation a couple of months prior to the big day . Wasn’t disappointed at all as the food was simply delicious and all 7 of our party were very happy with their selections. For a Christmas Day the cost was also very good value which is why a big tip was given to the staff who looked after us whilst we were dining. Thank you and see you again in 2024 .

Had the misfortune of ordering take out from here, having eaten in places like London, Birmingham and Bradford this was so substandard it was unbelievable. The food was bland, tasteless and the ingredients used were of the lowest quality i.e. chicken was meant to be boneless but seemed like it was chicken with food glue in it etc. Provided in cheap plastic containers, all bundled together so it was mixed with other food, no sauces sent with it etc. The breads were the only thing you could actually finish, again very basic. Didn’t feel to good the next day! Would not recommend, KFC is a better shout.

I enjoyed an evening dinner at the Namji Wolverton. My favourite starter was fish pakora and favourite main course was chicken makhani with naan bread :) and oh a refreshing mango lassi

The best Asian restaurant in MK by far, went there with friends having heard so much about it. The Wolverton place is small but very smart and spotless. The staff were attentive and well trained in allergies which is rare. My friend being veggi were pleased to see many choices, and gluten free, I had the Lamb and Potato byriani which was just superb, never tasted one as good. Look forward to coming up from Cornwall again to check out more offerings. BTW they do not serve alcohol but you can bring it with you. Thank you Naseem.

Had a fabulous takeaway for 5 people from Namji Wolverton, the portions are very generous and the veggie rice is just lush. Naseem went above and beyond to accommodate us with special requests, I would definitely recommend.

Great food, very different from a standard curry house. Staff very helpful and the food arrived quickly. Took our own wine / beer as the restaurant does serve alcohol.

My daughter and I visited Namji for a belated birthday meal. The restaurant was spotless and the service was excellent. The waitress knew her menu and could advise us on our choice. It is really good that you can choose the level of spice I do not like anything too hot but my medium spice was just enough. Namji hasn’t got an alcohol licence but we took our own drink and we were asked if we wanted water as well. This was the first time my daughter had visited but she was very impressed and is looking forward to taking her husband and sons in the future. I have been to Namji before and have never been disappointed with the meal or service.

So lucky to find this place. I struggled for months to find outside food in the UK that matches what my Punjabi inlaws have at home and they absolutely LOVED the food here. Very tasty and authentic and good value. Will 100% be back!

Best Punjabi food we have had in the U.K. we have lived here for 15 years, and this is by far one of the best, Fresh, tasty and authentic.

Loved it! Small and very cozy Indian restaurant. We had much fun with the waitress until we understood that there is no alcohol to get in the restaurant and decided for the super delicious Mango Lassi. Which brings me to the food: if I have the time, I will be back every time I am in MK. Warm and freshly backed Naan with a very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala. Awesome!

The food was lovely and Naseem and Malik are good hosts. Not licensed but no corkage charges. Very different food from your average Indian restaurant.

Food was amazing and the menu catered for all. Unlike the Namji in Xscape, the ambiance was lacking at this place. Shame really, if you classed it up like your cmk place you might get more customers

Found this place while searching for an Indian/Pakistani restaurant in Wolverton. While the food took a little while to arrive (as it was very busy) it was well worth it, as it was all delicious. Would definitely come here again!

First time trying and I can literally say 9.5/10. As a non-Asian loved the flavours together. I had Adi’s Chicken Mathani with Rice and Naan. Delivery arrived on time and food was hot which is great! I will definitely order again. Two personal downsides, food was oily than expected but as it’s not an everyday thing to me, I enjoyed it. Second was replies of the owner to lowest comments. Not everyone may enjoy the food. I believe as a business owner we should be polite to customers.

Always beautiful food at Namji's and a very friendly welcome. Just popped in for a wrap and chips for tea, not a big meal, but it was still delicious & very good value. Best Punjabi food I have ever had; nowhere else comes close.

Namji, at the escape, Milton Keynes. The best Indian food I have ever tasted. The owner gives so much back to charity and works tirelessly within the community also in addition to running two restaurants. Best Indian I ever had.

We were a party of 4 and there were 2 other customers in the restaurant. We were sat immediately Next to them and could hear evey word of their conversation as I'm sure they heard ours too. We had to ask the waiter to come and serve us. The food as always was excellent. When The 2 ladies next to us left, the gap between tables was so narrow, her bottom, if she was 1 size larger would have been on our table

One of the most extensive and interesting vegetarian menus we’ve come across. (The choices for meat eaters were great too!) Lovely friendly place with excellent service made for a special evening out. Loved being able to save money by bringing in our own bottle of wine too - with no corkage charge.

All the food tastes the same. Rubbish, expensive and not worth it. Will not order again

Great staff and even greater food, a varied fantastic menu containing home cooked Punjabi style dishes There was a party of 11 of us and we’re all in total agreement it was superb, they weren’t fazed by having some many of us in a small establishment and all the food arrived at the same time and was nice and hot. I’m not a vegetarian but had Dancing Mushroom and Peas in a Karahi and I’m running out of superlatives now, it was absolutely delicious. Finally I’ve just seen they do breakfasts brilliant, I’ll be back to try a breakfast next time.

I have been here to eat 3 times and the food never ceases to amaze me I love how friendly the staff and owners are and the family feel you get from the overall style of the restaurant including the menu item names . I also love the music they have playing in the background building the ambience. Definitely a growing star in MK and a must try to any foodie

We have visited a couple of times for an evening meal and really wanted to try the Punjabi Breakfast safe to say we were not disappointed! The food was fresh and very tasty! The service was great a very friendly member of staff took our order and made recommendations. A thoroughly enjoyable start to the day!

Good authentic food , little bit pricey

Neatly tucked away in The Square, Wolverton, Namji's Wolverton never disappoints. The food is absolutely brilliant. And the service is always spot on and I am always looked after when I visit. Malik, Naseem and her team always make the best home cooked food. And it's highly recommended! 15/10. 👌

Best Biryani I've ever had. My wife also had a vegetarian curry with aubergine which was the best veggie curry we've had before. So, so good. If you are in the area you have to try Namji.

Namji is fantastic. The authentic food is totally delicious and there are a lot of choices available from the extensive menu. You can bring your own alcohol or buy it chilled from the nearby shop. Our only complaint is that, once you’ve tasted the food from Namji, nowhere else is as good.

Was running late, still outside waiting for me and called to confirm. Customer service 10/10. And the food was fantastic if that was in any doubt. 110% return. Thank you.

authentic Punjabi - the best Indian in Milton Keynes by some way

Not had anything I don't like yet. The extensive menu caters well for everyone. We could eat this food every day if the funds were available.

I have been there with my husband on our anniversary day,it was so yummy food and even they served it very nicely,staff was very friendly even though Their owner "Yasmin" she was so lovely, i just love that environment,i wanna go again and i will, definitly recomended

The food is impeccable and the atmosphere very relaxing. The best thing is that every dish looks and tastes absolutely home-made, you can literally feel the traditional flavours. The way the meet is cooked makes it so tender. I feel lucky it is just a few metres away from where I live. Real gem in Wolverton, hope it will not change a thing. I am sure that, after the improvement works in the square, even more clients will go to Namji.

We ordered a Korma and it was nothing like a korma is was really spicy with no sweet or coconut flavours, it was bright orange. Very dissapointing

Unfortunately another bad experience (3 out of 3 now!). For a special birthday treat ( its not a cheap place) we ordered 4 vegetarian dishes (2 vegetarians and 1 pescatarian) to take away. Only to discover when eating the shared dishes that 1 if them...

I stopped here for some dinner with colleagues on the way back from a business trip. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and helpful. All of the food we ordered was delicious and the portion sizes were good. I had the large mixed grill, which I have to say was probably the best mixed grill I've had from an Indian restaurant. They don't serve alcohol on here which wasn't an issue for us, but we were informed we could bring our own if we wanted.

Food OK but expensive. Food for vegetarian can be cooked in separate utensils. OK in emergency food.

Visited for first time and tried the Lamb Biryani which was absolutely delicious and enough for 2 (although I ate it alone). The garlic naan seemed to be plain but appeared to be accompanied by a delicious yoghurt garlic sauce. Service was prompt. This is more of an unpretentious restaurant, bordering on cafe. I quite like this informality but some might not. The menu is not overwhelming so fairly easy to decide. The only thing I found confusing (and to be honest a bit annoying) is the way they list vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I've never seen it written this way, but I couldn't help feeling this is almost like a dig at meat eaters! It's also not technically correct. Vegetarian dishes should NOT contain any meat so describing them as such is accurate. But saying Non-veg is not correct. Many of these contain vegetables. I think I know why they've chosen to write it in this way, but it does seem a bit pointless; perhaps even an attack on meat eaters. Not sure there is such a term, but would this be described as meat shaming?! Saying this, the meat dish I chose couldn't have been nicer. So while this menu wording does bother me a tad, I would definitely return to Namji and would probably re-order the same dish. Which for me is most unusual.

Really fantastic little Indian restaurant. The food all seemed very authentic and freshly cooked. Huge menu with lots of different options including vegetarian and vegan options. Lots of special and unusual dishes outside of the traditional fayre. The restaurant is unlicensed but they are happy for you to bring your own alcohol or purchase from the convenience store next door.

We were on a business trip in Milton Keynes, for dinner we wanted Indian food, we googled and decided to try Namji. The 3 of us are very happy with our decision, the menu has many options for vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarians. We tried different starters and main dishes…all of them very tasty,! The service was perfect, very polite and patient with us! They do not sell alcohol but they accept you bring your own beer from the Premier next door.

Ali was super friendly and helpful. Quick service and delicious food as always. Great experience. Mum said food tastes like home cooked food and the place feels like home.

Namji in Xscape. Been here for breakfast twice now with the family. Excellent service. Really tasty food especially the halwa, channa, aloo and puri. Coffee is great too. Will be a regular favourite for us now.

The food was absolutely incredible. I had the paneer tikka masala and it was delicious. It was so well priced and the waitress (I can't remember her name!) was so helpful and friendly.

Come out for a spontaneous Monday takeaway. Fantastic food and really great service. Would recommend and will definitely become one of my regulars.

Had a lovely meal with friends and had the saag paneer which was absolutely delicious. Lina our waitress was so friendly, definitely will be coming back! :)
