Naked Fish in East Riding of Yorkshire

Not the greatest, I don’t like triple cooked chips and teacakes were dry. We went in on the last few reviews so I think my view of great fish n chips differ from there’s.

We have wanted to try this place for a while, and finally made it. We went there on a Sunday Lunchtime and were impressed by the service and the value. There is a good selection of fish you won't find in most fish restaurants along with the traditional haddock. I had the Hake which was really good, well cooked and served with excellent chunky chips. Also ordered the lobster tails, again served with chips. Paid £14 for both dishes, which to me seems outstanding value. We saw someone order the 2 full lobsters for £30. I think that's what we will order next time, and after this visit there will be a next time. Staff were polite, even doing a check back to make sure everything was ok. Thanks for a really good experience and a great plate of food. Thanks to all involved for a goodeal.and experience.

We visited twice during our stay in bridlington this week. We first visited during our weeks holiday in may and it didn’t disappoint. My favourite fish so far has been the sea bass followed by the plaice. Chips are lovely and this time we tried the curry sauce mmmm! It’s one of our go to places when in bridlington. And the only fish & chip shop we will go to in brid now. We are back in sept hopefully may try some Bridlington lobster ( if available ) price wise always good value for money , service is great highly recommend

Come to Bridlington often and got to say that I’ve just the best fish and chips that I’ve ever had in Bridlington. Upgraded to extra large fish at no additional cost , which was beautifully cooked, nice golden brown chunky chips topped off with mushy peas and curry source . Great service and a credit to Bridlington , well done team Naked Fish , we will definitely be calling again

Dropped in to eat fish and chips on a wet Friday and it was fab. Friendly staff, picnic tables in back, salt and vinegar on tables. Great deal on as well two haddock and chips for £14. Can’t recommend enough, probably one of the best fish suppers I’ve had. Thank you Naked fish👏

Incredible. Fish and chips how they should be. Double cooked chips were amazing, no chemicals on the chips which you normally find in a standard chippy. Fresh fish, not frozen, everything was really excellent quality. Homemade mushy peas were lovely, the young man recommended the curry sauce which I tried and it was delicious, quite spicy and really good.

Excellent experience. Best quality fish, chips and mushy peas. Great value and service. A perfect end to our day at the seaside.

Great chippy. Lovely warm welcome, works well ordering at the counter. The 2 fish and chips for £14 is such a bargain. I had the seabass which was so tasty. Great kids meals too. Definitely be back.

This is the second time we’ve been here, and both times met with a jolly smile from the man at the fryer. Then friendly service from the younger staff who take the order and serve. (I’ve come across some truly fed up bar staff over Christmas, so, this was a nice refreshing change) We both had regular size fish and chips, which was HUGE! I also liked how they happily brought me more ketchup (some places charge extra for sachets) Plus a nice cup of tea!

Lobsters are not available today, had monk fish but so tough as it’s over cooked, chips are ok, curry sauce is better than regular fish n chips as it’s Indian curry, scampi was ok

Chips were so hard we couldn't eat them. Haddock was thick and fresh , but batter was over cooked . Mushy peas were cold and horrible. When I looked at how dirty it was behind the counter I should have trusted my instinct and walked out . ( I just hoped they had been super busy all day)

Absolutely vile food. We ordered 2 small haddock and chips and 1 large. They all looked tiny and certainly didn't taste like haddock. The chips were the worst!!! The owner boasted that he cooks the chips 3 times and you could tell. They were hard dry and when you bit into them grease squirted out. Haddock and chips is my number favourite meal but this was inedible.

We had dinner here on our recent visit to Bridlington and I would highly recommend it, I had the lobster and hubby had scampi, lovely and fresh, good portions and the best chips ever. Staff are efficient and friendly, a pleasant seating area with views overlooking the harbour you can also get takeaway food,we will definitely be returning

Came across this place purely by accident. It was actually closed, the owner was sat outside and actually offered to re.open the restaurant up for us. We ordered the regular haddock, which was actually more like a large, and asked for it well done just as I like it. The meals arrived, I have got to say they were probably the best fish and chips we have ever had....seriously. Generous portions (I made the mistake of asking for a roll with it but the meal was more than enough) Fish cooked to absolute perfection, chips just like home made, and without a hint of grease on either, (unlike most chippys).... In conversation with my wife the owner said they were 'triple cooked chips'. Rounded off with a cup of tea. Absolute Fish and chip excellence...and I told him this,.we came out more than satisfied, and very full. Do not go past it.

Finally a decent place to eat fish and chips in Bridlington! As the first customers to arrive we chose the window seats with a view over the bay. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. On an off season quiet Tuesday there were only a few fish choices, but looks like they can get some interesting options (according to what is fresh caught on the day). We both had haddock and chips. The fish was a good size with delicious crunchy batter, the chips chunky with crisp edges. By far the nicest eat-in fish and chips I have had in Bridlington - and I've dedicated a lot of time to finding a good one! To be fair I have previously dismissed this one, as due to its location I didn't think it looked promising. My apologies, how wrong I was, and you wouldn't get the great harbour view elsewhere. The interior is simple (I do love the fish swimming across the wall though), but who cares with jolly staff and such good food. This will be my go to in future for both eat-in and takeaway.

Fish and chips with a lovely cup of tea. Window seats overlooking the harbour. Proper cruchy, brown batter. Friendly service. Dog friendly too. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Me and mum went today for a late lunch. We ordered King prawns and sea bass. The team was very friendly and efficient. The King prawns and sea bass was served with glorious, golden, fluffy, chunky chips. The portion of chips was so big that we had to ask for a takeaway box to take home. We had complimentary mushy peas, curry sauce and tartare sauce. On a previous visit, my mum ordered the chunks of monkfish (see pics attached) and ask for no chips. She loved it as it was a gigantic portion and chunky. The new guy, Russ, was very friendly and cheerful. All standards and quality of food is maintained with every visit and the place is clean and relaxing. Highly recommend.

Ordered two lobster chips and salad. Unfortunately only had one lobster left. Very accommodating and made up the deal with seafood medley. Had, lobster, haddock, scampi, king prawns, sea bass and white bate. Everything was cooked to perfection and top quality, excellent, highly recommended 👍

Excellent lobster and battered sea bass and really good value. Coupled the food with bring your own, a bottle of Reisling. Minor booking issue was soon resolved and they couldn’t do more to ensure we had a great experience. Will and can recommend to others
