Great cafe - great staff and comfortable, tasteful ambience. The food is good and I’d definitely recommend the pancake stack.

Nabs serves a wonderful eggs on toast. This is my third visit and the poached eggs are always perfect, the cook knows his eggs! My second and third visit included the moistest, nautiest, salted caramel brownie. My only complaint is that the portion is huuuuge! I wanted my hot coco late with oat milk - no problem. Nabs is spacious and the decor is funky. It’s got a great vibe made better with the Bose mini soundlink playing a variety of tunes from different eras. The facilities are clean and entertaining as are the staff. I asked them to tell me how to make perfect poached eggs and the scientist cook explained to a degree I could wrap my brain around. The cafe attracts, families, folk in wheel chairs, solo diners and couples. I highly recommend this place to eat.

Cool trendy venue, friendly staff, coffe is good but the food portions for the price are a quite expensive, got the breakfast sandwich, was about £8 and you didn’t get much in it, small sausage patty, mushroom, tomato and a bit of bacon, was lacking a little flavour, my mate got the steak sandwich and said it was average, maybe we just picked the wrong things but was a little disappointed, was still hungry when I finished and got a brownie which was good

My boyfriend and I came across this lovely cafe on our weekend away to Scarborough. I have a dairy allergy so it’s often difficult to find a place that works for us both without having to choose vegan options. The staff were so friendly and helpful and gave me a list of options that I could choose from. We both really enjoyed our food and will definitely return. The coffee was amazing too ! Thank you so much !

Really great, well presented food at great prices. Staff friendly, venue very elegant and contemporary and in a good location for a bite before exploring town. Menu varies from time to time and there are always specials on the board, plus some great cakes at the counter. We go whenever we get chance and it never disappoints.

Arrived in Scarborough town centre car park last week, no knowledge of 'coffee shops', so asked a local resident on the street, who recommended Nabs ('please support local businesses'). Cannot fault this place, the food, whether savoury or sweet, is fabulous and all fresh, the service is brilliant from start to finish. The place is light and airy with space around each table. We loved it so much we went back the next day. OMG, Granny, how I wish that I had brought some of your fruit cake home with me. Will be back next year. Thank you so much.

Found this cute cafe by accident and was very glad we did. Could not have been more helpful as both of us had a lactose intolerance and when asked they offered to make our pancakes with non-diary milk so we could enjoy a treat from the menu as we were struggling to find a place that had options for us. Most gorgeous pancakes and will definitely be going back. So welcoming and willing to help made it even better.

We found this place by accident, looking for another place that turned out to be closed. Delicious food in a trendy setting, with great music playing. I enjoyed the pancakes and everything was served on beautiful stoneware and ceramics.

Just had the smashed avo on toast & added poached eggs, it was beautiful! Lovely atmosphere, super friendly & attentive staff. Toni is amazing, just made me the best mocha I’ve ever had, always made to feel welcome. My favourite spot for coffee, brunch & a cheeky slice of cake. Can’t recommend enough!

Second time having breakfast at The Pines for me, third for my mum and brother with whom I come on holiday to lovely Filey. I can see how the local older folk love this little cafe but you don't have to be old to appreciate its charm or indeed a good, reasonably priced English breakfast. Malcolm is a great host with his cheeky banter!

We stumbled across this place whilst wandering around the old town. It’s near the swing bridge on Grape Street Small menu so we tried most of it - everything we had was great. Loved the kimchi dumplings and the sushi. The bowl of delight which I forget the name of was delicious as was the sweet chilli chicken. All freshly cooked and tasty! We will return to try what we missed!! It was very reasonably priced, friendly service and can’t recommend enough.

We accidently discovered this cafe while hunting around Whitby for something more "homely". The staff were very accommodating for our party of 7. They ensured we got seated and looked after us all the step of the way. The food was plentiful, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good selection that suited both adults and children. If you want to avoid the mass of marauding tourists and seaguls. Take a stroll up the hill to Stokers.
