Excellent food and service, and beautiful ice cream. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was excellent. We also had beef chilli nachos, also delicious 😋

I enjoy using TripAdvisor as most of our visits are pleasant and positive experiences. Not last week it wasnt at My Kitchen when we called in mid Saturday afternoon. We waited and waited for table service and watched as the four staff seem to drift around behind the counter unaware of their customers waiting. It wasnt particularly busy, seemed more of a social occasion for the staff between themselves, all smiles and chat. When we did eventually ask one of them to serve us, no smiles and chat for us. A shame as the coffee was really nice. We wont be returning here. Such a contrast to the lovely, friendly staff in the farm shop next door. Oh, and milk in a coffee cup doesnt pour well you might want to point out to your staff. A milk jug is normally preferable. We know the establishments who value and treat their customers well. Sadly not this place.

Visited My Kitchen for breakfast, we were the first to arrive at 9am. Shown to a table and given menus, crumbs on the table and stain with drinks rings, crumbs must have been left over from the day before, not a good start regarding Covid 19, all the staff were wearing face shields. Ordered coffee’s with hot milk, full English and a regular breakfast. Coffee’s arrived, cold milk and very weak tasting, breakfast arrived which was cooked okay. Would l return probably not.

SO disappointing. Shabby +grubby. Floors dirty, grimy, thick visible debris in corners, around chair/table legs. Thick hanging cobwebs at top or Windows +on fixings. ! .Tables sticky + stained. Food quality has deteriorated. Small,2 x thin rashers of bacon with a good half inch of fat around it served on cold waffle, syrup was watery + tasteless. Having been to this place several times this year it is clear the overall service has reduced significantly. Poor quality, environment, food + service. No plan to return.

Good variety of food on the menu. Located within a Farm shop near Endsleigh garden centre. Better food than at the garden centre cafe itself Customer service is average to poor. Run by mainly young staff who do the bare minimum.

Having found this place to eat with our grandchildren we go back again and again. There outdoor play area is a great attraction to safely entertain children whilst enjoying great food. Very popular place and can prove difficult to park which is the only negative we have found. Would recommend eating hot food inside as it tends to go cold very quickly outside, plus hot drinks. A selection of animals amuse children too, the chickens, pigs and alpaca. All fenced off but clearly viewed. There are climbing frames and slides, swings and playhouse. The menu is varied and reasonably priced and you do not wait too long before your order gets to you. Would recommend cream and savoury teas, and the children’s meals are generous for that “hungry child”

Went with four adults and two children the food when it came was good but everything is a bit muddled as if no one seemed to know quite what they were meant to be doing.plus points though it’s fantastic for a very energetic six year old with a great safe play area outside which is visible from inside restaurant. One big gripe is the toilet which was grubby especially the wall, when you consider the proximity to deli area not good enough.

Having been here many times it has drastically gone down hill recently. An hour wait for food when there’s empty tables ... no tables were cleared at all and the place was dirty. Serve was extremely slow at the till and it took 15 minutes to serve the 3 people in front of me. The girl that served us was lovely but she was let down by the lack of effort from the others. The family across from us ordered after me and it took about 30 minutes for their cup of tea to arrive. A real shame as the food is really nice but the service and cleanliness has taken a real fall over the past few months and I doubt we’d return now.

Food served was of a good standard, however the whole place needs a serious shake-up. Difficult to know where to sit as most tables needed clearing or cleaning and customers had to ask to have this done. Order counter not ideally situated as staff needed to pass each time in order to deliver food. Poor and uninspiring décor that hasn't been touched since it initially opened. Staff pleasant but looked as if they needed better organising.

This place doesn't get any cleaner, even changing the name doesn't get rid of reviews about the dirt. The food is good so we thought we would give it another go but the tables are never wiped. The 3 young girls who take orders and serve never pick up a cloth when clearing the tables: they are far happier standing behind the counter staring into space. The wasps, hovering and crawling over the dirt on the tables inside should have given them a clue. FILTH

This place has slowly been deteriorating and getting dirtier & dirtier. The walls need cleaning & painting, floors need cleaning! Tables cleared and new clean menus on the tables. The toilets were so filthy that I reported it to staff! Dust & dirt for months on pipes and walls filthy, the emergency cord does not reach the floor and a baby changing unit means a disabled person cannot use the transfer bars! The door locks are all broken and doors filthy. Have you no pride in this place?? If I had seen this before ordering I would of left! Lunch was scampi & chips, but I was so disgusted at the lack of cleanliness , that I couldn’t eat my lunch!! I complained to staff both in my kitchen and the Farm Shop! Apparently my kitchen are responsible! So get you gloves on and clean these toilets, paint the walls and order in new menus ASAP!!!

My biggest issue is with the cleanliness, most of the tables had food / plates piled up without anyone sat at them. The few tables that were free had food all over the chairs and the table was sticky. The menus are heavily stained and sticky I'd love to know when they were last cleaned. The staff just do not care, lack of knowledge or understanding of the menu along with a can't be bothered attitude. The food itself is average at best, good knows what's happened to this place but if you compare it to Bens Farm shop in Yealmpton it has alot to learn.

I took my young granddaughter here for lunch. Every table was piled high with dirty crockery and left-over food. Even people eating were surrounded by this mess. Thinking they must have had a busy lunchtime and the tables would be cleared soon we found a table which, with some moving around, had enough room for the two of us; went to the counter to order our food and paid. Not sure where the 2 smiley young ladies who used to work here have gone but there were 2 young lads taking orders and serving but spending the rest of the time chatting behind the counter. They were polite and friendly enough but made no attempt to clear any of the tables despite only a few customers. Our food was brought to the table by one of the mentioned young ladies and literally banged down in front of us. I pointed out we had no cutlery to which she moved her head in the direction behind me and said 'there's some behind you' before walking away. She made no attempt to clear the tables either. The food was fine as it always is but when we left 40 minutes later there were even more littered tables - including ours! Not sure what is going on here but we won't be returning.

Visited with my two teenage son's and we all had a full English breakfast, it was most probably the worse breakfast I've ever had the sausages (if you could call them that) where of the poorest quality and the thinnest I've ever seen and considering they are attached to a farm shop with a butchers I found it hard to understand why they didn't use there's? The breakfast came with no beans or mushrooms and the bacon was undercooked for £6.95 it was terrible and definitely wouldn't recommend, both myself and eldest son found a hair in are cup of tea and the flies were a real problem, such a shame as this place could be a real gem if they improved on cleanliness and quality of meals.

Or small children can share a larger plate. (Main meal). Lots of menu choices. I Had hot dog and chips. Mum had macaroni cheese. Looks to like they had some nice cakes also. Soup and sandwiches also available. Waitress service. Happy helpful girls serving.

My wife and I are locals and have, in the past, been regular visitors. My favourite was always the "breakfast" perhaps a little over priced with limited portion sizes but well prepared and very tasty. So now it is no longer available after 11:30am and this applies also to the first rate sandwiches, bacon, sausages or eggs.Oh dear! What a disappointment. So instead I had scampi and chips, it comes with coleslaw which I do not like but no peas were.available. A farm shop without vegetables!!!!! Really??So - "My Kitchen" removed from the "let's go somewhere for lunch" list. What a shame.

Often drop in for a coffee and something to eat usually a bacon sandwich, whilst we are shopping in the farm shop Lovely bit of bacon and good thick fresh bread. My wife likes to have some toast with their home made marmalade. The Marmalade is delicious with a great flavour, and the bread thick and tasty. But with bread that tasty and thick, you need butter, not the three microscopic tiny foil wrapped pats that were served with the two large slices of bread. Situated next to the shop which sells good real butter, a nice dish of that with the bread would transform this from an average to a very good.

I came here with family on a rainy day. The cakes and drinks were delicious and we could see an extensive outdoor play area so we decided to return on a sunny day.I came with two young children. When we got outside i started to become concerned at the state of the equipment. The swing was tied on wonky, making it hard for children to balance. At least one of the monkey bars were missing, and the climbing frames seemed a bit in need or general repair and upkeep. Nonetheless I thought it was probably fine, just a bit shabby.A few minutes in my three year old was climbing up one of the frame ladders to get to the slide when a child on the playhouse section of the same equipment came out, opening the door. My daughter screamed and fell from the ladder onto the floor. The door was unsecured and had slammed onto the ladder which is situated next to it, bashing her fingers incredibly hard and causing her to let go of the ladder. She split her lip and suffered bruising. She was screaming and when i looked closer i realised her hand was also bleeding - on closer inspection of the door a panel was missing and a nail sticking out. This is extremely dangerous and could have been far worse. Luckily her injuries were superficial and she didn't fall badly. This was completely avoidable and could have been prevented by a stopper on the door of the playhouse. But having screws and nails sticking out of childrens play equipment is absolutely unacceptable.

Because the cafe is attached to the farm shop I expected a really hearty breakfast with all the trimmings. I was a little disappointed to be served deep fried sausages and deep fried potato cubes and had to pay an additional 75p each for beans and mushrooms. However, the bacon and extra thick toast were really good. A bit more butter would have been appreciated though. Good coffee and very pleasant staff.

This is a small but friendly food area attached to the Countrymans Choice Farm shop.Maybe a dozen tables inside with picnic benches available outside. It is very handy for travels along the A38 going West, you need to come off for Ivybridge on the slip road, get to the flyover, and go down the slip road as if to join the A38 again, but turn off from this for the Farm Shop and Garden centre. We have had very good coffee and scones here and light meals are available and cooked to order. Cooked breakfasts start around £5, and meals around £7. The scones are huge!

Awesome. Don’t judge a book by its cover. I arrived late evening for work over a couple of days. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful from getting me a taxi late evening at the train station to helping me get to my work venue in the morning. I had arrived past restaurant hours but the staff were more than happy to prepare food if I had wanted. I was also given a local delicacy from a local. I’m normally a poor sleeper but slept so well. Whilst the rooms at first appearance look a little dated the bed is so so comfy. The room also spotlessly clean. The question is - what’s more important to you - a great nights sleep or a sterile environment with mod cons? Sadly the first morning I didn’t have chance to sample the breakfast- I didn’t have time to wait. They have a sign saying ‘We don’t serve fast food. We serve fresh food as fast as we can”. Suffice to say I ordered my breakfast for the following morning before I went to bed so it was ready for me when I needed it. Now for the highlight DINNER. I eat a lot and this is definitely one of the best meals I had in a long time. Not the usual processed pub food. The main(stuffed chicken with root veg and dauphinois potatoes was delicious. I never order dessert but felt I had to - the main was so good. The sticky toffee pudding did not disappoint. Overall a really great stay. Thanks so much

Strange but quaint place to get to. Be prepared for a staircase, a handrail on both sides, and you'll need it to, to climb upstairs. Once upstairs, we were approached by a smiling member of staff, who said, "Sit where you like." The floor slopes, but once seated, it seems you forget. We all had Devon cream & jam scone with a cup of coffee each. Wow, the scone freshly made earlier, was warm. It just melted in your mouth. Once you got the jam & cream on, or is it cream & jam. My aunt & I had a latte & my husband & uncle had a cappuccino. Stand carefully for the loo, you may fall. There is only one unisex toilet. We paid and left. Back down the staircase again....the restaurant is above a shop, which is situated by the museum. Not for disabled people..though I made it with my walking stick. No car parking.

I booked 2 nights for friends online, i had some simple questions about parking and accessibility but couldn't get hold of anyone to answer my questions so i cancelled. I cancelled nearly 1 month before the cut off for a full 100% refund ( clearly stated in their contract when booking) . I then spent nearly 2 months calling, emailing, leaving voicemails to get my money back - they ignored every one. In the end I had to claim the money back via my bank. If my bank hadnt stepped in and help, this establishment would have stolen over £400 from me. I am writing to hopefully sway others and stop them doing the same to others
