My Coffee in Cheltenham

Fine if you like head-banging music being played over your conversation.

This cozy gem is my new favorite spot in Cheltenham. It’s warm and inviting, which is why I wandered in. Their menu had so many enticing options that it was hard to chose but I decided on a peach iced tea, which was everything I had hoped. There’s an upstairs that is open until 2pm and on both floors there are big leather couches scattered around to flop into and read a book while having a glass of wine or a few ;) It was evening and they had lit tall red candle in empty liquor bottles and there are plants and glowy little accent lights everywhere. The pictures online don’t do this place justice so please enjoy a few of mine! (Some little details are that dogs are welcome, it’s card and contactless only and they have happy hour Thurs&Fri 6-8 where if you buy 2 large glasses of wine you get the bottle and upgrade from reg to large spirit for free. Also they have live music sometimes and play great music on the speakers otherwise- including my favorite song Rhiannon)

Popped in while waiting for partner who had an appointment nearby. I just ordered a green tea that was an average price, but it came as a large pot that allowed me to refill my cup twice so amazing value for money. Atmosphere was very pleasant and the whole experience was relaxing.

They have one hot food item which they stop serving after 4pm (even though their open until 11) I understand there's a funky casual theme to oit but firstly that's very 2010s, move with the times but also the person serving was weak , poor and sarcastic when it came to serving. He had one job . . .

the ambience is so nice here, with good seating - it's literally the perfect shop to chat with and meet friends. there are plenty of drinks & cakes to select as well and they're very yummy. some of the employees are a bit scary + shout your order so you go and collect it, which is weird for a coffee store but anyways. we had a nice time x

Check out this amazing cafeteria with extended hours on certain days of the week. The atmosphere is fantastic, the service is top-notch, the prices are great, and the location is perfect. You'll love it!

Great coffee and some really nice cakes. It can get busy though, especially on a nice day. The staff doesn’t bring your order to your table, and they don’t really shout the orders either which made me slightly confused cause I haven’t even been told. So you don’t really know when your order is ready and it could be sitting there for quite a while.

Cafe is a bit cosy to say the least, especially if sat near the bar. It's a popular little cafe especially with the elderly on Bath Road. Coffee was very good. We shared an expensive bacon panini, tasty but probably better in a sourdough bap. The staff were ok but don't bring the drinks to your table, they just shout out the order and you collect it from the counter. Card only.

Delicious cappuccino, with ‘proper’ thick froth, just as it should be! Great selection of cakes, we had 5 different ones between us, all top class. Friendly staff, plenty of room for us to sit upstairs. Would definitely recommend and will return

A really friendly and cosy atmosphere for all ages.... Comfy and chilled out ambience. Super coffee and the cakes really beautiful. Three excellent vegan options.... Cinnamon buns and apple cake have been tested!! Both great!!

Great independent coffee shop, that is more than a coffee shop and serves cocktails in a very relaxing, homely environment that is dog friendly.

Good coffee, cakes and pastries. Later opening than other cafes. Great place to sit. Music downstairs can be too loud and upstairs seating area not always open but generally one of my favourite coffee places.

Great little coffee shop situated on the Leckhampton end of Bath Road. Good selection of coffees, teas, cakes. Mix of furniture from stools to sofas. A quirky selection of staff. Outside seating so you can watch the world go by! Independent!!

Lovely place to sit and study, I'd often go and study here in the evening so nice its open late. Can't say I've ever had food here but always nice coffee and the staff have always been lovely

My wife and I called in here this morning after our Covid jabs and I walked up to the end of the counter, card in hand, where normally I am greeted by a very welcoming young man to take my order but on this occasion the female server deliberately ignored me even though she could obviously see me and then served two other customers who subsequently then walked in after me and when I said that I was also waiting to be served all I got was a terse "could you come round here!" I could feel that she was clearly in a dark mood when serving me and chatting to her colleague about her pet hates with regard to customers, which included those who don't read signs. I'm not sure what her issues were but it's not really fair to take these out on elderly customers. The coffee and croissants were good but by then my enjoyment of these had already been spoiled by the toxic atmosphere. Looking at previous reviews it would appear that it is a bit hit and miss as to whether you get friendly service here but it needs sorting out as there are plenty of other places in Bath Road to have coffee. I would recommend the Italian place over the road (Lucy's) which has slightly better coffee and the staff are always friendly. I wouldn't rule out coming here again but certainly not if this particular member of staff was on duty. I've never written a google review before, as these days my technical skills are not that great. It's a pity that my first one had to be negative.

Visited this place many many years ago and never felt inclined to go back but on impulse decided to try it today. Ordered coffee and cakes. When I asked for the receipt I was told they don't give out receipts but I could have one emailed which I accepted. I made a comment about being forced to go paperless if a venue refuses to provide paper receipts. I was told that it wasn't worth it financially to them because the machine to print a receipt costs £100. I was also told most people don't ask for receipts these days, I was going to say it was so common to get overcharged that I prefer a receipt to see what I am paying for. It also occured to me they could afford it considering the price I had just paid for coffee and cake. I said nothing because I was made to feel petty and awkward for asking for a receipt. When we got upstairs I checked my emailed receipt to see I had been overcharged. When I let them know they had charged for an extra item he didn't seem that surprised. It was refunded but it re-affirms my mindset that we should be given receipts without having to input our email address on a dirty screen at the counter (which, no doubt will frustrate people waiting behind you) as we need to be able to check what we have been charged. If you are the kind of person who doesn't really pay much attention when paying please BEWARE. It seems to be quite common these days to be overcharged. Whether it's deliberate or careless I have no idea but obviously venues will get away with it if people don't ask for receipts. As the cakes had no prices on I had no way of knowing what the bill would be. However once the refund had been done this establishment turned out to be one of the most expensive we have visited, £14.30 for 2 coffees and 2 cakes. Regarding the establishment itself, we were quite surprised at the state of the place, sofas torn and stuffing bursting out. The place was dirty. At this price point I expect better. I won't be going back.

Sadly this was not good coffee. Staff were great but the coffee was tasteless and our latte was in a tiny cup and was smaller than the cappuccino!!! Lattes are definitely meant to be larger than a cappuccino. Also it was mostly froth, lukewarm and tasteless. Such a shame because it's a lovely cafe and as I said the staff were great.

Only discovered this gem recently. Great vibe and serves alcohol in the evening. Make it a destination on the Bath rd run Not eaten so can't comment but looks great.

Love this place! We go every week with my children and they love it. Andrew (bob!) and the team make it such a welcoming place and the food and drinks are always great! Glad it’s on bath rd for us!

The cafe is a little cramped inside. The latte and brownie that I had were fair and a fair price.

Hilarious service. You order, they shout the order when it's finished. I initially thought they were yelling at staff, but no, that is the signal to go and collect your coffee...despite them having staff standing around and barely any customers. Strangest place I've been in a while, feels a bit like you are imposing on the staff in their staffroom, rather than customers in a cafe. Not cheap either, or clean. The only good thing about it the abundance of space, as most other potential customers are at the other cafes along the street.

Cool coffee venue, with a nice atmosphere. Opening times are handy and extended at the weekend as it becomes a bar in the evening. Highly rated coffee and cakes!

Went in there today, at lunchtime. Toilet filthy! Ordered 2 cheese and ham paninis. They had run out of tuna melt but there is a Coop next door to buy tuna! What I could see of kitchen was off putting, boxes everywhere, cluttered. Food came, basically 2 boring paninis. No garnish, no knife! Very little taste, very little filling! Won't go there again! Totally uninspiring.

A cozy, clean and well run cafe on the Bath Road. Staff were very friendly and the place followed Covid rules. Liked the way it was decorated and furnished. Seating outside though if someone is sat by the window all they will see is you. Worth a try if your passing.

Love this place, it was our coffee pick up point during our lockdown walks and now its all opening up I need to have an inside visit. The coffee is full of flavour and panini are perfect.

Nice coffee and a characterful place. The working manager does a good job. The food is tasty. The only sour note is one server who is repeatedly brusque to the point of rudeness.

We went out for a walk down Bath Road on Sunday. We decided to have a coffee. With My Coffee we didn't have to book in advance. Was well laid out for social distancing. Pastry was very nice. Latte was very frothy and a bit cool. But very good flavour.

Customer toilets 'closed' despite being legally obliged to provide them, and staff member would not budge on this, couldn't give a toss. It's humiliating having to beg repeatedly to use the customer toilet and for this to fall on deaf ears - response was an unapologetic "it's not my place, not my rules". I had to leave to find a toilet elsewhere. On the plus side at least this happened before I purchased my lunch. Obviously I didn't return, and never will! Spend your money elsewhere, there are better coffee shops nearby. Drink was mediocre and overpriced. Only one power outlet. Service slow. Sofa needed replacing as stuffing worn out. And more importantly, the staff and management are clearly vile. Wish I'd read the reviews first!

Entré para tomar un café, ya que parecía un gran lugar peculiar desde fuera: ¡pedimos cafés antes de que notáramos lo sucio que estaba!Me encantan los lugares eclécticos, pero esto tenía tapizados de asientos mugrientos y mantas sucias.Necesita una limpieza profunda, obviamente no se ha limpiado en un tiempo, ya que hay gotas viejas por las patas de la mesa, pisos sucios, alféizares de las ventanas cubiertos de polvo y telarañas.Si este es el estado de las áreas que uno puede ver, ¡uno se preocupa mucho por las áreas de preparación de alimentos que no puede!Necesita intensificar el régimen de limpieza con urgencia.

Very good Covid security as well as a very enjoyable coffee. It became busy just after we were served. The poor guy serving was trying to get a cigarette break, but had to stub it out as soon as it was lit! He still served the customer with good grace and a welcoming smile.

Visito mi café para tomar un café rápido, mientras allí presencié un comportamiento espantoso del gerente que se veía como de 27 a la joven que trabajaba con él (alrededor de 18) claramente la estaba haciendo sentir muy incómoda y le puso las manos en la cintura. en el que ella se apartó, este tipo de comportamiento es repugnante y no puedo creer que tenga que venir aquí, ¡pero hay que hacer algo! ! ! !

Entré a tomar un café y un sándwich de tocino. ¡Me ofrecieron un panini de tocino que tardó años en cocinarse! Lo estaba tomando para llevar y si no hubiera estado lloviendo lo hubiera devuelto porque estaba asqueroso. Panini duro como una roca con tocino crudo. ¡Nunca más y tampoco barato!

Para empezar, un servicio al cliente terrible: una chica solitaria que servía un sábado por la mañana y que no era necesariamente grosera, pero ciertamente no era amable.La peor taza de té que he tomado. En el mejor de los casos era agua tibia. Sin cuchara ni agitador para triturar la bolsita de té; lo quería fuerte y era básicamente leche tibia. Las bolsitas de té son totalmente extrañas y cuelgan de la taza como un calcetín empapado. Esto significa que gotean por toda la mesa y no hay servilletas disponibles para limpiar.Todo el lugar parecía sucio y descuidado.Té repugnante y mal servicio al cliente: definitivamente no volveremos.

Dada la situación actual y con no todos los cafés abiertos por completo, decidí alejarme de mi habitual y sentarme en otro lugar; en retrospectiva, debería ir a casa para tomar un Nescafé.Tenía un americano negro, que me ayudó a practicar mi reflejo nauseoso. Uno de los peores cafés que he tomado en mucho tiempo.Es una pena, ya que el lugar tiene potencial, el personal fue amable y comprometido, pero como cafetería, primero debe resolver lo básico. . . como servir café potable.

I really enjoyed here. The coffee is of a high standard, the seating is very comfortable and the staff are great. I was able to sit, read and work in a very relaxed and charming environment.I would highly recommend this cafe to locals and those visiting the town.

When asked for this she was refused, and was told it was illegal to sell hot water. I asked again when I arrived, but was refused again and I must say I was a little disgruntled. I wasn’t thrown out, but it felt close. This place is pretty nondescript but they evidently feel that they are more important than their customers. Suffice to say that we will not return and they will become legends! Illegal hot water anyone?

Funny little place this, the staff seem decent enough and the food itself is palatable but an hour to make a couple of ham and cheese toasties has got to be a new record. Perhaps they were short of staff and to be fair they did warn us that the food was around a 30 minute wait but blimey, 65 minutes for two bits of bread and a bit of cheese, WOW! Not sure what more I can say about this but can’t imagine I’ll be rushing back in a hurry unless I just want a coffee.

I would give five stars if the place was cleaner... Lots of tables left with crumbs on - generally a bit scruffy throughout but food and coffee very good.

Nice coffee house, but slightly over-priced. The top floor is too crowded with chairs and tables. Plus, when full, plates and mugs start to pile up faster than they are cleaned.

Visited this coffee shop today. It’s a nice atmosphere and the staff are fine. However I ordered avocado on toast with egg and it came with lots of chilli. I didn’t realise this as it wasn’t on the menu and I react to chilli very badly. It always makes me feel ill. You need to add that it has chilli on the menu. They gave me another avocado on toast. But forgot the egg. The slice was much smaller almost a crust. As I walked away I heard them joking about the situation in rather unpleasant way. There very loud in the kitchen and you can hear everything they say. I would like to give this place more stars but unfortunately there attitude stinks! Can now understand why this place doesn’t have many stars.

This place has the potential to be five stars but general organisation and staffing is just not good. Food and coffee are all good but waiting 35 mins for a bacon sandwich in my opinion is not good enough. Management need to address this

Terrible. Conocí a algunos amigos aquí alrededor de la hora del almuerzo y encontré una mesa arriba. Los muebles están maltratados: los asientos estaban rotos y parecían sucios. El suelo estaba sucio, cubierto de migas y la mesa y los respaldos de las sillas estaban pegajosos. El café que tomé no estaba caliente y el Cale, mi amigo, le había cubierto la boca y los dientes y no sabía muy bien. El personal estaba agrupado detrás del mostrador, muchas mesas necesitaban ser despejadas y el lugar era básicamente un desastre. No entiendo cómo funciona este lugar: nada agradable y muy caro para el estado de las instalaciones, los productos y el servicio.

Llamado para el desayuno de hoy. Esperamos más de 20 minutos para el desayuno de verduras que llegó con pan blanco con margarina: habíamos pedido tomates marrones crudos y sin cubiertos para que los champiñones se enfriaran mientras esperábamos. La papilla llegó más de 5 minutos más tarde, aunque fue muy bueno. La tostada marrón finalmente llegó después de que mi compañero se rindió y se comió el trasero. Podíamos escuchar otras quejas. Se necesita más personal o una cocina más grande. No volveré

Tatty y un poco sucio.El café estaba bien pero no era barato y tampoco estaba caliente, el servicio estaba bien, pero todo el lugar necesita una renovación y una buena limpieza.Dado que hay otras 3 cafeterías mucho mejores, literalmente a tiro de piedra, no volveremos.Es una pena porque está en un lugar agradable: pintura, nuevos asientos / sofás y un poco de cuidado funcionarían de maravilla.

The title says it all. The staff also are pretty cold. Upstairs needs decor attention. Really wish I had taken my sandwich back and complained but we were very hungry and in a rush. Won't be coming back

Mi esposa y yo hemos visitado esta cafetería que se convierte en un bar de vinos en la noche 3 veces recientemente, el lugar está muy bien y tiene un ambiente cálido y elegante, el lugar y las mesas estaban limpias, al igual que los baños, cada vez que Si nos dieron una cálida bienvenida, los anfitriones son jeff y debs y son personas encantadoras, el servicio que recibimos fue excelente cuando pedí una botella de vino, incluso la trajeron a nuestra mesa y nos la sirvieron, había aperitivos la mesa, que es un buen toque, preparan platos de comida que mi esposa y yo todavía tenemos que probar, pero al verlos presentados se ven muy bien, fuimos el viernes cuando tenían música en vivo de una excelente banda de jazz, tuvimos una noche fantástica y agradable en general, un lugar realmente agradable con excelentes vinos y cervezas y un personal encantador, si no lo he sido, lo pruebo, ya que vale la pena visitarlo, volveremos seguro, gracias de nuevo 10 / 10, Alan y Claire x

Great coffee! However, service is slow as usually it's only one person making drinks, whilst somebody does the washing up BY HAND - tables also are not cleared fast enough! Often have to move cups/plates to another table myself.

Fantastic service and a wide range of coffees, teas, and daytime drinks, along with a decent selection of evening drinks when the bar opens. However, somewhat limited seating, as the upstairs seating area closes sooner than expected.

Really disappointed with a recent visit here. Staff were not really interested in us at all and were in no way welcoming. Food was actually very nice but that’s the end of the good news unfortunately. Dirty tables and floor, and toilet needs TLC. I think this place could rival Curious Cafe if it got its act together, but currently it is miles behind. Sorry to have to write this negative review. We overheard other diners complaining and saying they’d never return, and I can’t blame them.

the main barista was rude and miserable and very short with the younger girl on the till who was unsure on the till system! My latte tasted a bit watery, probably wouldn't go back but It has alot of potential so a bit of shame
