My Cafe in Canterbury

Tiny cafe very narrow inside but mirrors down the sides make it look twice as big - very deceiving! The waitress who served us had a friendly manner and a nice smile! Was reasonable prices, we had coffee, tea and eggs on toast. We had a chat with a lady on the next table who goes in there every day, very cosy, warm and friendly. If I lived locally I would also go in there every day

Lovely selection of breakfasts and hot and cold drinks, , freshly cooked. Staff v friendly and polite. Prices very good too. Lunches looked lovely,will definitely return.

A group of us were looking for somewhere to have a snack and tea and came across My Cafe. We were so pleased we did. We all decided to have the pancakes which were huge. The service was 5* with such a really lovely friendly waitress. There was a choice of pancakes and either cream or ice cream and they were delicious. (£3.30) We will certainly be returning.

Excellent, home-made hearty meals for hungry people. Lovely, friendly staff. I was on holidays and eat on my own, but felt well-fed and welcome. Good opening hours and reasonable prices.

Think I found my fave cafe in Canterbury, Ordered the veggie breakfast All lovely fresh cooked ingredients, Scambled egg,Bubble,beans,mushrooms tomatoes,Hash browns,toast Huge portion on a oval plate! Really good value at just £7.95..All served by a lovely friendly waitress. If you are looking for a non pretentious cafe,Offering great value in nice clean surroundings I can't rate this place highly anough!

My cafe is the best cafe I have found in Canterbury.We go in often for breakfast and lunch and get food to take away.The food dose not only taste nice but the presentation is amazing. staff always go out their way.The cafe is always clean.Very kid friendly,Mine love going in for milkshake and love getting a free lolly.

Forget the rest, eat at the best. This well kept café serves superb food, perfectly cooked and served by the friendliest of staff. The portions are large and on your table in no time. I drove 71 miles for this day out and the visit to this café was definitely one of the highlights !

Very friendly staff, very clean space,small and homely. I went with my family and it was very reasonably priced and the overall experience was lovely highly suggest this nice little place

The cafe was very cramped. Way too many tables too close together. We ordered drinks for and a lunch for 1. The drinks arrived. The food never did. We had our drinks other people's food arrived who ordered way after us. Ours never came. I went to pay and told the girl we didn't receive our food order only the drinks. All she said was oh sorry. If you want a pleasant experience I suggest don't use this place.

Getting the basics right! The food is very tasty, the service excellent , its clean and the prices are very reasonable for such a well located eatery . Top marks for such an unassuming small gem in the heart of Canterbury. Many of the bigger chains could take a lesson from this establishment. Well done, you make a great team.

Very nice food. Friendly staff. Four of us all retired called in for lunch. We were served by a lovely young lady. The food was priced very reasonably.

Food very good. Friendly staff especially the young blonde girl. Nothing is too much trouble. Go there quite often Brilliant as so near the theatre

This place is right on the main street of Canterbury among lots of chains and trendy restaurants but I can't imagine any of them would be a better place for a simple and excellent lunch. We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday and had a very nice meal, including excellent coffees, for under £20 between us. The portions were decent (big enough but not excessive) and the food was very good in quality. The staff serving were really friendly and very efficient. It's certainly the place that I would come back for lunch next time I am in Canterbury

I love this place. The service is good and so is the food. We always enjoy our breakfast and although we have tried other places, we always end up coming back.

We ate lunch here almost every day whilst working on a show at the nearby Marlowe Theatre. The portions are big, tasty and served quickly. Pies of the day, All day Breakfasts and huge Jacket Spuds. Excellent value, friendly service. Highly recommend.

Stopped for quick tea and and drink. Good value and you can tell local use the place always a good sign.

Had possibly the best Breakfast ever, it was a build you're own so I was able to include Bubble & Fried Bread. The standard of all ingredients excellent bacon Egg Mushrooms Beans (Heinz) & particularly sausage tasted like a Lincolnshire, service very good not to pricy either, glad we came.

A classic British cafe with all that involves. A great budget friendly option for a filling lunch in town. Super speedy service, and can't knock it!

Most amazing Christmas Dinner nice tasty and hot . ( turkey roast potatoes stuffing veg and Yorkshire pudding) so delicious. Staff are so friendly too .

A hidden gem , saw this when walking through Canterbury, decided to pop in for lunch with my wife ,on the recommendation of our waitress I opted for the special of the day ,it didn't disappoint ,the homemade pie and veg was really tasty . I would recommend this café to anyone ,it is a long way down if walking from the bus station, but the walk is worth it.

We always visit this cafe when in Canterbury for lunch and have never been dissappointed .The service is exeptional and the staff are very friendly and the food is superb and very good value

Close to City centre: seven of us went there as final stage of our stag weekend. Staff friendly & efficient.. Full English was excellent. Highly recommended

Although this place may not look like the other places attracting tourists it is so much better than them. Great choice of items for the English breakfast, tasty and excellent value, especially compared to other establishments. Great, efficient service. Will be back,!

Saturday lunch. Visited today and found Great simple good quality food menu, bright clean environment, friendly efficient staff and good prices. Homemade steak slice had good quality filling. Also has fair priced hot drinks and deserts. will be visiting again when next in town. Thanks.

We visited the Cafe at lunchtime and was greeted by Anna. Such a welcoming smile and an extremely pleasant chatty lady. From the menu we chose Fish,Chips & Peas and were not disappointed, it was so nice. Our Pud's, my Wife opted for Lemon Meringue...

Great experience friendly service and could accommodate family, especially the picky eaters. The service went over and above to make sure that the whole of the family felt welcome. Overall, they all enjoyed their food. We are making lots of trips over the summer holidays...

Stopped here to have breakfast which was lovely. So much choice plus you can create your own , which I have not seen offered before. Quick efficient service. Lovely cup of coffee. Definitely the place for a good breakfast.
