Munchies Kebab in Cheshire West and Chester

I have bought food from Munchies on many occasions and never had any problems. I previously lived in Hoole at the time. I only usually order a donner or kofte kebab, so I cannot comment on the rest of menu. Yesterday, I was passing so I thought I would treat myself to a kebab ( I am a creature of habit). I ordered a large donner kebab. I ended up paying for 2x pots of sauces as I didn't order the sauce at the time, and their minimum spend on card is £1 and I had no cash on me. Not a dealbreaker, but today I was looking at my online banking and I have been charged, £10.30 for a large donner when the menu price is £8.80. So, are they charging £1.50 to use a card to pay in the shop? I can't see any charges listed on their website, nor was I informed of a charge when I asked whether they accepted card upon entering the shop. I didn't check the amount when paying as the counter is high (and I am short), and you just assume the price you see on the menu is the price you will pay don't you? Additional to this, the donner meat was overcooked (curling and brown at the sides) and very greasy. Yuck. This was at 4.30pm. They open at 4pm, so I can't help think that it was left-overs from the day before (as there was a new chunk of donner meat on the rotisserie. I am afraid to say that most of it ended up in a bin :( ..... I hate wasting food and I also hate over-paying for sub-standard food not matter what it is or where it is being served. All of this is more than enough to stop me visiting again in the future. There are plenty more kebab houses in Chester so Munchies need to up their game I think !

The staff here were friendly and welcoming. We ordered chicken kebabs, chips and drinks. The food was well cooked, tasty, well presented and great value for money. I had not been before but I will be returning. Thank you.

We entered the establishment and acknowledged that the décor was exceptional. We were soon greeted by the illustrious Mr Munch who welcomed me and my boys humbly with with open arms. Just one glance of the menu, and it was nothing short of just...stimulating! Everything I could have ever wanted at such phenomenal pricing. As previously stated, Mr Munch was a delight to have in our presence. Me and my fellowship ordered our munch (pardon the pun) and boss man got started, producing magic with the juicy donner meat which was cut with such elegancy. We were next offered the option of salad and sauce, we obliged to both selections immediately. In two clicks the first bro was given his hot munchkins… WOW WOW WOW. 10/10 and no questions asked. This was by far the best kebab I have ever had the chance of having touch my experienced taste buds. The rest did not follow far behind and was nothing short of fabulous. 2 chicken shawarmas and a donner wrap, the perfect trio munch for a Wednesday afternoon. Everything was spot on. The munch. The service. Everything. Its a must.

Absolutely love the kebabs here, as a family we always come for special occasions. Prices are really good and don't change massively.

Was looking forward to a lovely meal at home,fancied a kebab,so tried munchies out on Saturday 30th July,was the worse meal I have had in along time.the lamb was so chewy and fatty.i wouldn't let the dog have any even.for 27 pounds it was disgusting.

Ordered from here for the first time, for a Thursday night it was the slowest delivery we have had, called after an hour and 10 to see where delivery was after being told 45 mins when ordering, it arrived 1h 40 after I’d ordered, food was disappointing, cold and soggy. Wouldn’t recommend a delivery from here at all

i visited this takeaway this morning and waited absolutely ages for my chicken ( which was ridiculously priced at 4 pounds ) JUST FOR IT TO COME OUT BLACK?!!! i will never be visiting there again it is by far the worst takeaway i have been to in chester! ( it also looked uncooked) do better munchies !!

MUCHIES IS THE WORST TAKEAWAY IVE EVER BEEN TO… after i’d waited half an hour for my chicken, its came out BLACK. Will not be purchasing ever again. DO BETTER MUNCHIES.

Been getting Kebabs here for the last 2 years - many years ago used to enjoy a Kebab after going to a nightclub and every few weeks need the fix - Munchies are top notch big portions nice salad and Chips very nice - wife loves the Chicken Kebab whilst I get the Mixed Kebab - absolutely gorgeous tasty food from here - keep it up Munchies

The fried chicken needs improving, it’s pretty terrible. Needs some flavour and different batter. Everything else was fine.

Waited well over 2 hours. Was refused a refund. Told it had been delivered when it had not. Staff extremely rude. When it eventually turned up it was cold and soggy. Expensive for what you get. Complete scam.
