This is the BEST place to eat in Leicester! Everytime I go Leicester this is a must to stop and eat. Their Veg kheema chips is everything! And the cutting chai!!! So so so good! Definitely recommend! Beautiful decoration too, makes us feel like India!! Love it

What a great place this is. Absolutely amazing Bombay vibes. Right from the decor to the food and service, everything was top notch. I don't know after how long i was happy visiting a finest restaurant like this. The music, the smallest attention to detail was mind-blowing. The entire team is filled with women especially in the kitchen. We were too full but didn't want to miss this place hence tried the authentic Bombay Grill Sandwich, Vada Pao and Cutting Chai. I would give a 5/5 for everything we tried. The service was quick. Will definitely visit again for a proper meal.

Best Mumbai sandwich in Leicester without a doubt, the service is excellent and quick. If you go do try the pizza toasties they are amazing.

Nice place for snack and indian chai with bollywood music

We had a delicious Pav Bhaji at Bombay Sandwich in Leicester. The service was excellent, and the staff were helpful in guiding us on the right number of orders, which turned out to be just perfect! The owner was a true gentleman—calm and very supportive. We also tried the tea, which was decent. Overall, a wonderful experience!

First time eating there. Quick service and food arrived quickly. Enjoyed all the food we ordered. Definitely worth going there.

Great service as always, food was piping hot and had so much flavour. Can never go wrong with MSS. They even let my friend request a song for the restaurant music 😆

One of the best Indian places in Leicester. Great Bollywood vibe, great service and the best part is street food and variety available. I have enjoyed every single time I have been here.

Frist visit here and the food was delicious definitely going back their.

Ordered through deliveroo, although the food came on time, the vada pau was full of ginger and all we could taste was the ginger. Go easy on it! The ‘paneer’ samosas were also a massive disappointment, you should label them as peas samosas. They are the frozen ones you can get yourself, full of peas and sweetcorn and if you are lucky a tiny bit of paneer. Very dissappointed, will not order again.

An excellent dining in experience. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection with reasonable prices. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Decor was unique. Music a little on the loud size but great listening to some classics.

I ordered a Bombay sandwich and specified that I wanted it without onion and garlic. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, however, upon asking the waiter if the crisps which came with it were onion/garlic free, they advised it contained onion and garlic. It’s quite obvious that any accompaniments to an onion and garlic free meal should also be suitable. Had I not asked, I would not have known and would have consumed the crisps. This is a huge oversight and bad practice. Hugely disappointing as the food and service is great.

We just had chai an hour ago.No doubt the chai was amazing but customer service was poor as we we were told to switch to a different table which was right near the entrance because there would be more customers since it was weekend!I understand that it might be busy but asking a customer to move to a secluded place just because we ordered tea?Also one of the servers looked at us in disgust since we just ordered tea?Still a fan of the masala tea but it seems the customer service was a major disappointment today!Humble request to look into this as we were actually left disappointed due to the bad attitude of the server and wouldn't be returning again if this continues

The food is good on average however, the prices has gone too high compare to what it was originally. The quantity of the food has reduced but the prices are too high. Not ideal for family gathering.

Brilliant everytime. All dishes are tasty, hot and fresh. Just like having them made at home which is hard to find. Portion size and value is great also. Consistency with Indian food is hard to find but they get it right everytime.

There was a short wait to enter but it was worth it! We loved the decor and vibe, felt like being in India. The food was great overall, we ordered the Mumbai grilled sandwich with Masala fries which was great, a little extra spice in the sandwich would've been nice. We also ordered the crispy bhajiya with cheese were really good! The paneer bao bun was nice but could've done with some more sauce. We'll be back try more of the dishes!

Mumbai Sandwich Station has become an institution on Belgrave Road, so we had to try it! We were not disappointed! The chai is the best I’ve tasted and all food items were tasty with great sized portions. The decor was unique. Will be back!

This is a staple place for me and my friends. Food is always great, and chai is the best around. Only down-side is how busy it gets. Eating in or delivery, you gotta go here!

So we ordered off Deliveroo my pops always calls to say no cheese as the little ones are allergic to cheese. As we are regulars they know my dads order no cheese. When the food came there was cheese so my dad rang back spoke to a lady and asked what’s the next option here and she cut him off .. rude right ? Then we rang back and spoke to some very rude guy (the owner i assume) and he kept arguing with us that there’s an option on Deliveroo to remove cheese and thought he was right we told him plenty of times check the app there’s no option only on Uber eats but he thought he was mr right and then cut the call off again. The the way he spoke to my pops was absolutely awful he was ever so rude! End of the day if the kids took a bite and they are allergic to cheese imagine I could have sued it’s a serious situation anything could have happen to them. This is very poor service it even says on the Deliveroo app please contact the place for any allergies and we did! Very disappointed . Please can the owner check the Deliveroo app and get his facts right next time thank you. To the owner please check below this is what is says on deliveroo. There was no apology what so ever.

Food was fantastic and really tasty, atmosphere was equally as good, and the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. I was visiting alone and was made to feel very welcome. Thank you, I will definitely be returning and look forward to my visit next month again to Leicester. Chai was best I’ve had!

This place makes you feel like you are in India the atmosphere is outstanding and the food is always the best. I have been to this place many times it's always happiness.

Good spot great snacks and good the menu has been updated and there is so much variety in vegetarian food. It’s really busy on weekends they also sell alcohol aswell . I always get the veg kheema toastie with chilli’s but everything in the menu is fabulous and tasty always fresh and top ingredients used.

Mumbai Sandwich Station is a small and beautiful restaurant/cafe on Melton road which serves the most delicious dishes, snacks and Chai in Leicester. Their Cutting Chai is the best Indian tea I have tasted in UK. The chaats (especially bhel) , masala chips, bhajiyas and toasties are just out of this world. One feels like you are in India with the desi ambience of lights, music and colours. Raj bhai, Pawan and team offer a great service by welcoming you with their warm smile and always ready to help and serve you at their best. This small to medium sized restaurant is simply the mount everest of Indian gastronomic delight in Midlands

The staff said it was going to open at 12:30 , we waiting 30min outside in the cold. It was 12:40 and the shop was still closed, we asked the staff again how long it's going to take and he said another 20min. We were all waiting and no apologies, nothing. Really bad customer service.

Lovely people. Very polite, friendly and accommodating. Deceptive looking on the outside but food was authentic and very palatable. Given 4 stars as the front needs to be given a better look as it is misleading and does not do justice to this lovely place. Enjoyed every dish we ate. Will 100% revisit. Only one problem is that there is no parking.

Liked it here. The atmosphere was nice with old school Bollywood music playing. We ordered Pani Puri which was fresh and tasty. Also had the chai which had lots of masala if you like it. Was too strong for me! We also ordered pau bhaji which was tasty and hot and came in a tiffin which was a nice touch. A bit too much pau bhaji masala but otherwise good. The Mumbai sandwich was not as tasty as expected, not enough green chutney so probably wouldn't order that again. Service was fast and efficient. I would come again to try other dishes.

Sadly me and my partner were treated so badly here because she was holding a lemonade bought from the shop next to it. The service women said they wont allow any product bought from the shop next to them. Such a shame🥹. And we were asked to stand outside and order from there. If you have rivalries from shops next to you, it’s unfair to throw that at your customers.

The only place to eat in Leicester, love it here, the food and atmosphere is unrivalled. Fast and pleasant customer service, and amazing food! Highly recommend the mixed bhajia platter and Amitabh chai (tall glass) with dabeli. Will come back here every time I visit Leicester.

The food really hit the spot and the feel of the place added to the experience! We ordered samosa chat, khaman dhokla, authentic bombay sandwich and "the hot one" with cutting chai and chaas. The samosa chat was mid and khaman was over priced but otherwise, everything else was just absolute perfection 🤌🏼 brought back all the positive memories of visiting back home!

Lovely food, good selection and service. On some occasions, I found it bit inconsistent in terms of how the same dish/sandwich is made. It can be very difficult to find a parking space nearby as well as get a table under one hour wait. Apart from that spot on.

Great place to enjoy the Mumbai street food dishes. The authentic Mumbai sandwich could do with a little bit more flavour but other than that everything was spot on. The decor and vibes also take you back to India. Totally enjoyed our visit here and would recommend for anyone looking for Indian street food.

NO NO NO, please do not eat here family time is very valuable so not waste here. Food has got just swanky names but it has got no genuine taste for the dish. Ordered Grilled Bombay Sandwitch , unfortunately had no taste, creen chilly chutney & spice masala. I questioned the owner about the taste of the Sandwitch & BHEL. not at all up to the mark food, 3 slices of grilled bread can not be called The Bombay Sandwitch. The owner took my plate away by force instead of an apology. DO NOT GO TO EAT HERE. Disgusting behaviour by Owner, do not know how to communicate with Customer. I have to give at least 1 Star this place deserves -1000000 STARS. The Food here has got Big names but it has got no Authentic taste of Names. I ordered Their special “Bombay Sandwitch” which is their pride & joy, it had no taste, no special Green chutney or It’s special spice masala. I Humbly questioned & advised that the item is not justifying the greatness of “Bombay Sandwitch” 3 slices of bread, tomato slices & boiled potato slices can not be called “The Bombay Sandwitch” the owner snatched the bite off my hand. Very arrogant & rude. Also Do NOT Eat Here way too expensive for the price of the food ants can feed hardly on the quantity. Disgusting behaviour by the Staff reply to your reply ( Bombay Sandwich has only 1 taste no varieties plus I am not a restaurant owner) review is about your food & attitude.

What an experience it was , truly delicious food and excellent service. Kudos to all staff members. We started our food journey with vada pav and chai(Amitabh Bachan size) and then went on with second course with Hot one sandwich, Bombay sandwich and Bombay special Bhel puri. Ended with another round of chai . Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Leicester area. Truly Bombay style.
